Novochoc

Holy smokes. This is a beast. Very Gourmand and beast mode. Huge chocolate note. Definitely for the spring,fall and winter. Be careful with the sprays. It can be cloying if you use too much. The chocolate is semi sweet here. Really well done. Might be my favorite so far. Novochoc beats that Imaginary Authors Dipped in Chocolate or most other chocolates. Definitely not for the faint of heart. The Musk gives it a slight animalic touch.

I’m not really a gourmand guy, but this was a very interesting fragrance. I have had fragrances with a cacao note, like Boccanera, but this one smells like a soft and warm chocolate bar under your nose from the moment you spray it until it dries off 4-6 hours later. Somewhere around the 40 min mark, you start getting a pissy smell that becomes jasmine. At first, I figured it was for complexity, but as I was walking past a bakery, I noticed that there was a slightly pissy smell present in the chocolate as it dries back down. While i’m still not sold on gourmands, this is an excellent and very realistic chocolate fragrance with great projection and longevity.

daily wear type of scent for the colder weather. this one performs beautifully on my skin, it smells absolutely amazing, just like feve gourmand to me. might have to give this one a cop soon... 9.5/10

When I first tried this the cocoa note was enjoyable and unlike anything else I use. However, the second time I tried this, it made me utterly nauseous. I wasn't sure what it was and think it might be the deer musk. So unfortunate that my sample went into the trash and was a scrubber.

After one hour: Trying a sample of this and pleasantly surprised. Don’t know why I was expecting something metallic, but first smells are powdered cocoa with a sprinkle of cinnamon and musk. Overall impression is dried cherry tobacco, though not strongly tobacco or fruity. Could see how the cocoa and listed florals (I do not smell florals) could read feminine but to me this would be devastating on a man (bc of my association with the tobacco, though after checking official notes —no tobacco listed). I like this.

In the bottle is smells deliciously chocolate, but on my skin it fast becomes a mess. The jasmine and rose make it almost a shampoo scent and coupled with the bordering-on-fecal chocolate, it’s a total scrubber. I couldn’t tolerate it. Pass.
