Eau Ressourcante

Dear Readers, I and my beloved mother and sister have been faithful clients of the house of Clarins products for years and its my humble heart that I will leave a review of Ressourcante. As I stated I have been a faithful of Clarins exquisite skincare line and make up that are made by the finest of botanicals , it was a boon to my heart to discover they also made fragrances too and I discovered Ressourcante ,took a try and I was enrapture by its elegance botany ,so I bought it and I was sadden I could not get the perfume but the lotion, the sales girl was a true sweetheart and she gave me 3 vials of it and in turn, I bought more Clarins, so we both had a happy ending !. The scent is truly heaven on earth, with its rich fragrant botany mixture united in harmony made it very powerful!. it never caused a obnoxious pain inducing experience to those who were around me On me , I put this one at a friends house where I stood over a weekend , and I took a shower before heading out on the town, and I put the lotion upon my skin and once I clothed myself and open the door, she came flying into the room smelling the air and asking me is the fragrance mine or coming from outside ?, I said no its me and I showed her jar of Ressourcante, and she became engulfed by it's aroma when I let her try some , she had to have it ! and we headed shopping afterwards, for she comment the fragrance both in bottle and lotion was the closes scent she imagine Eden, the lost paradise would have smelled like". I must agree it is very beautiful ,the scent isn't a the type that has a human character or intention to it, for the fragrance has the scent of nature in all is glory and majesty and tis serenity nature scent, it's great buy and its office friendly . I recommend this Clarins products if your truly into organic products that are truly worth your hard earnings, its a very good investment and lovely experience, I thank the cosmos for creating our earth,the plants and Mr Clarins and his staff for creating such marvelous work , Viva Clarins !.

After the ubiquitous red bottle came this serene blue pebble; Eau Ressourcante I've been having a flat few days lately, I'll be blunt, I'm sick of all the shit thats going on in the world and I want to shut myself away from everything. I've been wearing this a lot lately as a means of distraction, I'll get back to this in a bit. Eau Ressourcante is, like Eau Dynamisante, a treatment fragrance which basically means its a light EdT/EdC which promotes various aromatherapy benefits, in the case of Eau Ressourcante, these benefits are: sereneity, balance and freshness, a promise that it definately does deliver on. The opening is fresh and herbacious with basil and lemon, the more woody notes emerge after half an hour before drying down to a fresh, clean woodsy musk which oddly has a slight violet-y tinge to it, there is a light aquatic quality to Eau Ressourcante and one reviewer mentioned "its like stepping into a chamber full of freshly sliced zuccini and cucumbers", I get that 100%, I also agree with the reviwer that stated that water could smell like this, because honestly, it smells how a refreshing shower in the summer feels, its gorgeous. The longevity is a little better on me than Eau Dynamisante meaning I can just about get 6hrs out of it, the silage is close to skin but its nice, because I get little wafts of it during the day. Its 100% unisex, perfect for summer, office/general workplace safe due to its light inoffensive nature and a perfect dumb reach scent. Eau Ressourcante allows me to escape from the world, when I spray it on I'm no longer in cold, wet Wales, I'm at a calm waterfall somewhere warm enjoying the feeling of the water hitting my skin and the warm, smooth stones under my feet. Repurchase 100% I just wish they had an acompanying shower gel as well as the body lotion.

I get mostly a really high quality fresh iris bomb, tea, and cedar. I was really not expecting to love this one as I thought the basil might throw it off, though I enjoy the smell of fresh basil on its own. Very finely blended like finely milled powder, but not musky (thank god). I can't stop respraying it and I even sprayed some directly on my face which wasn't particularly moisturizing, but did feel refreshing. I only added this to my order because I was curious and was already ordering Dynamisante. It could be I get tired of this after awhile, which happened to me with some others like G*psy Water, but for now it's love at first sniff and my new daily! It doesn't hurt that it is super affordable on the discount sites too. Wow. I am so grateful to the fragrance community for turning me onto the Clarins line which somehow I had never tried despite having kind of a large collection at this point. I like fresh scents, and notes like teas of all kinds, incense, aromatics, iris sort of scents. What I normally wear every day is a fresh iris and a fresh tea scent layered. I go between a few different ones for either accord, but now I can just stick with this one that gives me the best of both yet together. For anyone who chases fresh iris scents, like myself, this is a must try.

I purchased this over a year ago to use as an aromatherapy fragrance. I love to use this at bedtime and anytime I feel the need to be comforted. In me, this scent inspires a sense of peace and trust in the universe, that "everything is as it's meant to be". The overall effect is quite spa-like and it is aptly named (Eau Ressourcante translates to "revitalizing water" in English.) I love the dry down of iris, benzoin and cedar. If you are testing this fragrance let it dry down before you judge whether or not to purchase it since some find the initial burst of lemon and basil off putting. It only takes about 15 mins to get past it. This is also a wonderful daytime fragrance especially in spring and summer. Longevity is about 3 hours on skin and more than double that on clothing. I think it is quite office appropriate except in absolute "no scent" settings. With Clarins ingredients, I feel much safer spraying this on skin than I do other fragrances. It is very reasonably priced here at $60CAD for 100ml.

Not one summer is spent without this beauty in my arsenal. It has been a staple in my collection for almost 10 years now, and my husband is still excited whenever he smells this on me, because it brings back memories of our first years together. Clean, crisp, a perfect zen scent. There is the slightest sweetness, maybe from the iris or benzoin, it is hardly detected but makes the composition slightly more feminine but still a wonderful unisex. The hotter the weather, the more it shines. We come from the middle east, where it easily gets to 40 degrees Celsius. The humidity from the sea brings out something in this scent that is absent in dry air. It somehow gives the illusion that you are standing at the feet of a fountain and water mist is spraying all over you. I wish more people knew about this scent. A perfect clean and fresh "out of the shower" scent that is a blessing in the heat.

I work at a dentist office as an assistant and I wear this perfume to work. I feel that it is the perfect perfume because it is a really calming scent. For me it is not an option not to wear perfume, because it is such a huge part of who I am and my identity! BUT of course I take my precautions and I only use one spray. There are a lot of chemicals at the dentist office that smells stronger than this perfume and I can not see how this fragrance in any way could offend anyone, in fact i think it might have a calming effect, for me it is like serenity:-) I should mention that I wear the deodorant spray which probably is a little bit weaker but has the same scent. This perfume also really remindes me of a very watered down version of rive gauche by YSL, which is a perfume that I have always been loving but I find way to strong to wear on my skin.

This was my very first perfume – back when I was 14! Before I smelled this, I had no idea there were such things as likeable perfumes– all the ones I had been exposed to had smelled nauseating. While we were traveling, we had a layover in France and the lady at the parfumerie told me to try this - it had just come out. I fell in love with it at once! I have been wearing it ever since – almost 10 years – and it is still one of my favorites. It has a very unobtrusive smell that supports, but does not overpower – when I wear it, I feel sweet yet confident, relaxed yet alert all at the same time. Not to mention that it opened the wonderful world of perfume to me – as it turns out, there are a lot of perfumes out there that I like and can wear! As a side note, this perfume is not intended only for young women. My mom loves it too!

Just like Eau Dynamisante and Eau des Jardins by Clarins, this is a very natural and clean floral-citrus deodorant fragrance. The lemon note isn't as distinct as in Eau des Jardins, instead it's a blend of lemon and floral. The best part is the tea-like note which adds an extra touch of elegance. As stated on the bottle, it's a therapeutic "treatment fragrance". It's more of a fresh complement than a heavy perfume, something you can carry with you to always smell nice and fresh. My favorite in the Clarins series. I get a lot of compliments when I use Eau Ressourçante. I have a signature perfume but I call this my signature deodorant. Like other Clarins therapy waters, spray your perfume but be sure to keep this handy in your bag.

I love it. But sometimes I struggle with basil in it. I'm crazy about basil, in my food. You can't have tomato mozzarella salad without a healthy dose of basil, now do you? Just imagine that tragedy. I don't know how vegans do it... I'm trying to find conditions in wich basil stands out the most and least. Today we have warm Spring evening and I sprayed it after the shower. It felt right and it smells gorgeous. Just right. Summer '25...I'm delighted to report that Eau Ressourcante is also mild mosquito repellent. They don't like basil. On official Clarins website, there are also notes of cardamom and sage.

As far as I know this is discontinued, or I simply can't find it around Atlanta, and that's sad because its minty tea freshness was my absolute go-to for two summers after it debuted and definitely one of the only basil fragrances I've ever been able to enjoy. What I'm going to try is to make my own by mixing spearmint, cedarwood, lemon, and benzoin oils that I have at hand and then.... Tip: stash it in the refrigerator, like I did the original Ressourcant. A spritz after a workout or being out in the sun all day is like plunging your head into cool water, coming up slaked and relaxed.

This is such a lovely fragrance. I would say it is a sweet basil scent with some lemon and a touch of woody floral. It is a great bedtime perfume that is calming, herbal and somewhat sweet. I would consider this my favourite basil fragrance but it doesn't have great longevity and sillage is low. I use the moisture rich body lotion and then get a spritz of this fragrance and its so nice. My partner doesn't find it overwhelming on his side of the bed.

This totally feminine fragrance at first smells ordinary but once some time has passed it transforms! It turns into a soothing sheer aroma of Iris with slight Basil calming the senses and becoming one with the skin without smelling citrusy at all. It can be worn any time and any season and definitely even in bed! The best thing about it is the natural oils which are used to make the wonderful scent. No chemicals and the alcohol is grain based.

I just tested this on my wrists in a dept store on my way home - it is so light, summery and gorgeous! I smell cucumber which isn't listed and the perfume reminds me a lot of some of the Hermes Jardin range, one in particular, Sur le Nil, I think. Citrus and basil feature strongly and are perfect for summer if you like something a little unusual but also light, fresh and soothing, yum!

I really don't get the bad press of some reviews. This is just a safe fragrance. It smells like soap with a hint of citrus. Yes, nothing to blow your mind, but quite pleasant. Summer days, office safe, after shower to go to bed if you want to spray something relaxing. I really like it. It smells clean, therapeutic, feminine. I used few bottles and I will get a new one for summer.

This exceptionally versatile fragrance puts basil, tea, and iris together in a way I wouldn't have expected. This smells so invigorating and fresh. For some unknown reason Clarins markets this as a feminine scent, but it works splendidly for men too. This will likely become a summer staple for me, especially since it's hard to find a tea-themed fragrance that isn't quiet.

This is a calming chameleon of a scent, blends well with any weather or mood so it feels perfect to me in any season. It is such an easy reach for me. Relaxing, clean, slightly herbal, with a zen-like aromatherapy vibe. Good for a long day at work, running errands, or just sitting around the house. It is a "love", for sure.

I love Eau Dynamisante , but Ressourcante is just this clean, energizing and pleasant scent that i cant get enough of, i just got this recently on a whim, and i have no regrets, I will purchase the wash and lotion soon, this is very comforting! im hooked on this alone even if it only lasts 3 hours on me , well practically.

I love this. I recently purchased this blind as I was looking for spa-like and herbal scents and this is an absolute winner for me. It feels soft, clean, and so relaxing. The longevity is better than I expected based on the reviews. I get subtle wafts of it for at least 6 hours. My new everyday favourite.

This fragrance is so clean, fresh and totally fragrance friendly. It does what it says, relaxing and rebalancing. ideal when your work place gets stressful. A few sprays of this fragrance gives you a feeling of calmness and recharges your batteries. Really like this fragrance and worth every penny.

On My 4th bottles of this blue magic potion personally I don’t like sweet fruity floral as a summer perfume. I prefer something clean,light,refreshing that clears my head and comfort me in the hot and humid weather. to me this one its just nice like after clean refreshing shower.

I like it very much. It's fresh and clean without being too lemony; at least on my skin. My nose doesn't register it very long, alas. But several compliments at work, mostly by men, about smelling nice and fresh made my day. It's my summer fragance.

This smells like expensive sunscreen in the best way. It’s herbaceous but with a really strong “medicinal” quality. I love it, especially wearing to bed. I was never a perfume to bed person but this perfume is so cool and soothing.

i love this one sooo much. Fresh and clean, but does not smell citrusy at all on me. Always had compliments how nice it smells. Perfect for every day, not too overpowering, a real feel good scent.

This is one of my favourite. Clean and all notes are perfectly balanced. For me if few like I smell like a nice bar of soap, a clean white t-shirt. Safe lovely fragrance. I use all year around.

This perfume has always reminded me of my grandmother. Her bedsheets would always smell like this when I stayed the night. I just wish it lasted more than a minute.

This is more a spray to help you relax in the evening after a hard day at work. For me, it does what it says on the bottle - it rebalances and relaxes.

this and no 5 edt are my fav sleeping scents. they just drift u into a nice sleep. so now if u excuse me, im gonna be in my dreams in 3..2..1..zzzz

Best perfume to calm you down and go to sleep. Very calming. It doesn’t last a long time but it’s part of my nightly routine and helps me sleep.

So so refreshing again another one which is more a light body spray. Has zero longevity which is sad. Great after showering or before bed.

This is a spa fragrance.It smells like you spent the whole day in a spa.Its fresh and clean but so relaxing.

There is something about this scent that makes me think of clean laundry fresh out of the dryer, which I guess is why it's so soothing! I smelt this when I hugged my aunt. I had to compliment her on how lovely she smelt and asked what it was. Blue Clarins was her answer! Oddly enough I thought it smelt like violets, and when I sprayed it on myself I still thought it smelt like violets (subtle thankfully) so I'm surprised that it doesn't seem to contain any violet at all?! Anyway, it's really lovely. I think at first it's quite a feminine aroma, but it dries down into something so warm and comforting, and not overtly floral (more herbal and woody) that it would smell delicious on more masculine people too! I'd say this is a perfect unisex fragrance! And happily it's not outrageously expensive! I'm going to buy a bottle because I think it's a great scent to wear in the evening if I don't want anything too strong before bed, and my friends and lovers could have a squirt of it too, where as all my other perfumes are either super fruity or super floral and are very much "me" smells rather than this sort of universally yummy smell. The CK One of soothing scent!

This is not simply a fragrance, it is a "revitalising water" that is best used in an aromatherapy context. I typically like to use it after a shower, or as a pillow spray at bedtime. It also works well as a summer day scent - very subtle and fresh, delicious in the heat. I think of it as a distinct product from the rest of my perfume collection. This is fresh, crisp and simple fragrance. The opening is slightly herbal thanks to the basil, with fleeting bright citrus notes. The drydown is woody with hints of iris, and a slight sweetness thanks to the benzoin. Given the subtlety of the floral and sweet notes, it is definitely unisex - soapy and clean. It is a light, quiet scent with little sillage and weak longevity - however, I don't think that performance is important for this type of product. This is for personal use and enjoyment - uplifting, invigorating and restorative. Well-blended, very pleasant and refreshing. 3.5/5 for its purpose.

I love a good spa scent, so this was recommended to me as one which lasts, so I immediately ran to try it. At first spray, it reveals why it has a blue bottle, as it’s clearly aquatic with a metallic water note with green herbs. The basil comes through after the first 30 minutes which is lovely as there’s a rosemary type of aromatic herb with it. But throughout there’s a lead pencil shavings note (like the one found in Nomade Absolu) so this leans more metallic again so I’m disappointed. It’s a great neutral ‘blu’ freshie for a man though. Overall, it’s a tranquil herbaceous aquatic with basil and rosemary. I just can’t tolerate any slight metallics and most wouldn’t even notice it. A good alternative to this without this blueness is 1872 For Women.

i first smelled it from the cap bottle and spontaneously sprayed it on my wrist (i guess im attracted to the scent). Initially i dont care for this, i thought 'oh this one is just pleasant generic, i smelled a similar hundred times before lol'. But then, after an hour i sat down at a restaurant and as i ate, hmmmmhh it really does smells good! Its fresh, comforting, cozy clean scent! Im hooked! I will definitely buy a full bottle. The scent makes me feel good. lemon and basil definitely the stars of the stage, but other notes also play its part very well to create such an olfactory delight!

This one reminds me slightly of YSL's Rive Gauche. Totally inoffensive smell, fantastic price for what you get, therapeutic properties and a lovely simple big blue glass bottle! Funny, I notice basil is listed as a note and I hate the smell of basil and would never have guessed this contained it. On its own this doesn't do too much for me but I find that if I spray a little D&G Light Blue on first, and then this, that Eau Ress really comes out of itself and is enhanced by the combination.

The initial citrus/basil blast is great - refreshing and herbal in a Mediterranean kind of way. After the first twenty minutes though, on me it becomes very masculine and aftershave-y. I don't think of myself as a woman who can't enjoy unisex fragrances but this tips over into "men only" territory for me. Shame, because it's good quality, well balanced and certainly excellent value for the money. I think my son would probably enjoy it ... and I'll stick to Azuree.

At first I stole my mom's Clarins, I've been using this ever since! Fits both young and older crowd! My sister said it reminds her of baby cologne (huh?), but I love it. Great clean and fresh smell and it's not overpowering, love to use this after a shower and after the shower at the gym.

It is a little bit too sweet for me at first and all I get is a fresh spiced with a basil iris scent which I consider to be linear. I like it a lot during summer, yet the lasting power could be better on my skin. Men could easily try this one too.

This is so beautiful and relaxing!!! When I wear it I feel like I'm in a high end spa. Serene and unique fragrance that makes me want to slow down and breath and enjoy. I love iris in it!!! I would recommend it to anyone who is stressed out.

when i spray it, it so energizing. i was spray it on afternoon. and it gives me energy. love it. citrus, basil. its unisex, both men or women can use it. and the longetivity its about 4-5 hours on my skin. i will repurchase again.. 8/10

Very much a summer fragrance, I think. I'm currently testing it on a cold March day and it's too cool, crisp and fresh. That would be wonderful on a sweltering afternoon in August, though. I'll save it till then.

At first it seems to be quite harsh, but after a while it is very fresh and nice fragrance. It's green and refreshing, like an air on a meadow. Great for summer.

As if you just come out of a hot deep bath. Flowery herbal.

I found this perfume to be okay, but it isn't really my style honestly. It kind of smells like citrusy Palmolive body wash to me honestly. It has a very clean and citrusy smell that feels slightly devoid of character in my opinion. I felt that the spiciness from the basil was a bit too herbal and the lemon was slightly detergent-like in the opening. I liked the soft iris in the heart notes, though. It gives a nice floral touch to this fragrance. It would have been nice if there were more floral notes, though. The dry down wasn't bad for me, but it was a bit too strong on the woody notes in my opinion and I wish that there was less of it here. It's slightly too overpowering for me. I'd call Eau Ressourcante a unisex fragrance that you could wear during a summer day because of its freshness and citrusy zing. It would work for casual events. This fragrance had medium sillage and a wear time of 6 hours on me, so I would say that it is quite good value for money. For Eau Ressourcante I'd give a 5.5/10. Not bad, but pretty mediocre in my books.

These are not my final thoughts. I found a bottle of this with my mom’s toiletries. I do not know how long it has been there or what the storage conditions have been like so I do not know if it is still okay or has “expired”. When I tried it on myself, I hated it immediately. But at least an hour later, I smelled something beautiful where I sprayed it - it smelled fresh, clean, clear. A beautiful summer day scent. So I will definitely use it again if my mom lets me. I will also be on the lookout for fragrances which have similar dry-down and heart notes, as it is perfect for summer. I am not sure if this one is currently in production or not. I do not think so. The longevity was decent. Sillage is low but I do not mind that at all.

Thus is a relaxing spa scent. It’s one I tend to wear when I’m chilling at home it’s not what I’d call a going out scent. However if you’re pampering yourself and want clean spa vibes this is the scent for you. I find this a more relaxing, calming scent than the one in a red bottle only have the dabber sample and it’s lasted me quite a while. Not sure I’ll repurchase but I’ll enjoy it while it lasts. It’s a bedtime scent for me.
