La Lettera Da...

The name is LETTERA DA without LA. I understand the fever for La La Land, but.. The bottle is by Serge Mansau, here in the picture the spray version, it's better the splash one. Opens very flowery, shining, fruity, solar, and become darker and smoky, I find something like heliotrophe and iris powder inside. It is a quite oriental scent of the 80s, sides of indian oils for a dark chic woman with a big hat, black sunglasses and black dress, but actually this scent is not totally dark as this picture, it has also a sort of orange blossoms bright, brilliant spices, velvety white flowers. In some way it is something between Obsession and Gucci Eau de Parfum passing through Jil Sander n°4, Poison, and Moschino, Must de Cartier, Venice de Rocher, Obsession for Man, Krazy Krizia and all that family. Not so unic but Very Good Perfume.

Lettera Da is from that strain of green-floral-vanillic ambers that began with the seminal Must de Cartier and reached mainstream success with Obsession and Moschino. Here, encased in a dramatic bottle designed by Serge Mansau, this variation of the theme has its own beguiling charm. There is the warm, dry balsam of styrax, with its vinyl-like styrene facet, that moors the spices and florals and somewhat tempers the sweetness of the amber. It's a dazzling wear in cold weather, and some smooth sandalwood comes to the surface further into its dry down. Thumbs up!

A blind buy that I love!!!! In the vein of Obsession; styrax, benzoin, cinnamon, ylang and could swear serious sandalwood

I bought this strange looking mini on a whim. This is a more floral feminine version of CK Obsession for Women. There is no strong basil note or orange top notes that you get w/ CK Obsession for Women. Sweet cinnamon, white florals, labdanum, benzoin are what I get the most of. Pretty, soft amber perfume for cold romantic winter evenings.

Love this sweet, cozy, warm oriental. It's in the line of casmir, obsession, coco, kl de lagerfeld but with the different that this oriental has a fresh note in it that occasionally comes through. Longtivity and projection are moderate and performance is soft. But overall a lovely scent but no power bomb which i had hoped for.
