Caramel Swirl

I smell pineapple first off, salted caramel, whipped cream and cedar. The pineapple fades and it’s mostly salted caramel and whipped cream fading into vanilla and cedar. Sweet but not too sweet, tropical, projects well. My husband said he really likes it and he hasn’t liked other gourmands. Lasts a decent amount of time. Definitely a day time fragrance or vacation. Or just for someone who likes to smell delicious!

This is the best caramel type of perfume I've ever smelled. The mango and fruity notes cuts the overly cloying sweetness that other caramel scents have...the dry down is the magic...it becomes so secy and kind of powdery to my nose I actually get almost like Dior addict vibes on the dry down and its soooo good cuz not only do u get a pretty playful caramel fruity scent but u also get the sexy dry down on the end.

This smells delicious ! Like a sweet fruity creamy bowl of cereal. I’m noticing this brand is very good at creating gourmands . Their cherry fragrance is also really nice. I have to see how long it last but so far I find it quite delicious. Also, I love that this doesn’t smell overly synthetic like a lot of other gourmands out there.

Delicious creamy swirl of thick mango juice, white chocolate , warm coconut, fresh citrus and airy whipped cream. I dont really get a true caramel, its kinda more like a caramel milk vibe but i like that its not as heavy or dense. I call this my capt crunch perfume cause it smells like capt crunch+ berries cereal milk 😋

I LOVE THIS! It starts out as a very realistic caramel cake scent, but dries down to reveal a tropical fruitiness. It’s not super strong, and works best when applied every few hours (after about the third go it tends to linger longer). The atomizer it comes with is really nice, too, and gives a good powerful spritz.

A desserty, fruity gourmand. Sweet and dense. not too warm weather friendly unless you're a gourmand lover (like me). I want to purchase a larger size it's amazing. Its dense aspect sets it apart from the other clean reserve fragrances and that may be a good or bad thing depending on your taste

I really love this one! It opens with a buttery popcorn and dries down to a soft white chocolate. I’ve been looking for a nice, soft grown-up gourmand and I’m so glad to have found this one! Jerome Epinette is one of my fave perfumers and he never lets me down. 12/10 beautiful!

This is delectable. Perfectly sweet and creamy. A fresh clementine dipped in caramel with a mango milkshake on the side.

Caramel Swirl – First Impressions / Review I was heavily influenced and ordered this immediately, so this is a true first-impression review. On first spray, this is a pleasant, soft, sweet gourmand, but my nose clocked something instantly: this smells very specifically like Yum Boujee Marshmallow. Same fluffy, marshmallow-forward, creamy sweetness. Not “every gourmand ever” — this one in particular. To my nose, despite the name, this is not a bold caramel-heavy scent. It leans much more marshmallowy, creamy, and sugary, mirroring the Yum Boujee DNA rather than standing apart as its own caramel-focused fragrance. It also reminded me of that familiar moment when Queen’s Caramel launched and many people noticed how closely it aligned with an already-loved gourmand profile. This feels like a similar situation. Performance so far is moderate and wearable — easy, cozy, and very approachable. Nothing challenging here, which will absolutely be a plus for fans of sweet, comforting gourmands. Bottom line: If you already own Yum Boujee Marshmallow or one of its close mimics/dupes, you probably don’t need this. This comparison felt immediate and clear to me. That said, if you love this specific marshmallow-sweet DNA and enjoy collecting variations within your favorite scent profiles, this will fit right in. This is primarily buttery caramel with a fruity accord. I think the notes really do describe it accurately. There’s a very soft floral vibe which, combined with the sweetness, reminds me ever so slightly of the gisou hair fragrance (the original scent) which has notes of honey and “wildflowers.” I’m surprised by people saying this is redundant with yum boujie marshmallow. Yes it’s a sweet gourmand with a fruity touch, but that’s about it. YBM is really a sugary toasted marshmallow with dusting of strawberry. This is a very separate scent profile. Comparison wise, I haven’t tried the cirque du soleil fragrance, but I can see why it’s being compared based on the notes and what I get out of it. If I had to compare it to something super popular that most people have smelled, I’d say it’s like a cross between the uplifting caramel of sol de Janeiro 62 and the buttery gourmand aspects of their coconut scent (not a dupe again, just trying to give an impression). Interestingly, Jerome Epinette is the perfumer behind both this fragrance and cheirosa 71, which is primarily a buttery caramel gourmand. I can definitely see the similarities and wonder if this is a signature accord of his. Although I enjoy this scent and tend to dislike 71.

this is the only truly gourmand caramel fragrance i can stand. caramel swirl is like its name; caramel swirled in a delicate balance of florals and fruit. caramel swirl is so syrupy delicious in a way that i cant quite place. the first spray is full of thick caramel, citrus, and mango. the drydown is more powdery for sure, and the white chocolate/whipped cream note is very prominent. this fragrance smells like a lot of different desserts while somehow lacking the overwhelming cloying effects that most gourmands ive tried had. it also doesnt smell too warm, enough for me to be comfortable wearing it in warm weather. the longevity and projection of caramel swirl are very good. it lasts on my skin for what feels like forever and continously projects about arms length. i think a fullbottle would be definitely worth the money if youre into a less-heavy gourmand. overall, a very solid gourmand that i will reach for every time over any of my other sweeter fragrances.

Right off the top I get sticky, sweet mango, paired deliciously with a creamy, melty blonde caramel. The nectar-sweetness of the fruit accord gives brightness and dimensionality to the smooth creaminess of the gourmand element, and the delicate floral mid notes add just a tiny touch of elegance to the whole thing. However, on my skin it only takes a few minutes for the sweet, fruity notes to begin ebbing, and a dry, husky coconut note to take over. At which point the gourmand decadence begins to rapidly deflate and the entire thing turns beachy, lotion-y, and slightly mineral. It remains sweet, but more like a couple drips of a caramel sundae on tan skin that's shiny with suntan lotion and speckled with pale sand. I'm not really a gourmand fiend, but I really love Caramel Swirl's beautifully indulgent gourmand opening, and I'm disappointed that it dries down so quickly into a much more moderate, sweet-beachy scent.

This fragrance is honestly confusing me a lot. When I first tried it in store, it was the most beautiful sticky mango scent. I was getting compliments left and right as soon as I left the store. I purchased it ASAP and was so excited to wear it around. But now that I have it... I'm really confused. It doesn't smell how it did when I first tried it on, instead of the beautiful caramel sticky mango it has turned quite plasticky. If I try hard enough it does smell like mango, but mostly just like a kids toy was dunked in caramel. Fingers crossed I am able to get past the plastic smell and can return to the original masterpiece.

There's a fresh opening which I suspect is all the fruity notes, but truthfully while wearing it I had zero knowledge of those notes and mostly just got a creamy caramel all the way through. Not salty, but fluffy, sweet, and airy. I really enjoyed it, but the two people I was with kept saying they smelled playdough in the air, LOL. Personally, I didn't get that at all. It did remind me of something though. It wasn't until it reached the drydown that it smelled very similar to the Cirque Du Soleil perfume! Then I checked on here and turns out it's in the "reminds me of" section, haha.

I sniffed this today at Sephora. I really like this! However, I don’t need it because it did remind me a lot of Ellis Brooklyn’s queens caramel. This is a little sweeter than the dry down than Queen’s caramel which it kind of dries down more floral, but this honestly is not unique enough for me to need it but I do like it. I’m not sure what the price point is for the large bottle. I didn’t pay attention, but part of me thinks this might be cheaper than Ellis so this could be the better option as far as Price.

Yes @czarina85!! 😂 i literally laughed when i was testing this because I instantly got the berry cap n crunch as well , so much so I had to wear this home to see if my husband felt the same and he did 😂! Dont get me wrong it smells delicious and is very gourmand. It made me smile in a good way, but it was just too sweet for me and i cant shake the bowl of cereal vibes.

a lot different than i expected but i actually like it! there is something noticable fruity, it’s not just a caramel gourmand. i’d say somewhat similar to miami shake. almost like a salted, summery caramel with fruit forward notes. it’s pretty!

Smells like trying to eat a fully ripe mango with your bare hands but you’re already covered in coconut oil. It’s soft to the point of collapsing, juice running down your fingers and every time you try to get a grip, it just slips away.

Quality Strawberry cotton candy. Gourmand and fluffy sweet. Barely get the rest of the notes from this. Very good sillage and longitivity. I like it.

Glad someone else agreed about the Cirque du Soleil similarity. I'm shocked caramel isn't listed here because I get mostly caramel popcorn with a hint of fruits. Personally not for me because I don't like caramel but some gourmand lovers may enjoy this.

It smells like Berry Cap'n Crunch cereal to my nose.

First impression - interesting, caramel, butter popcorn, sandalwood and a bit of liquorice. I know there is no liquorice mentioned in the notes but that’s how it smells to my nose. So seemed sweet, interesting and nice. So I sprayed all over my hand and jacket... walked around the store and after about 10 min it was another story... Later impression - synthetically sweet, marshmallowy caramel, buttered popcorn and strong wood base notes. Again, there is no wood mentioned in the notes but that’s me... I can’t smell any tangerine, lemon, mango or other fruits. It smells a bit like cheap woody caramel candle on my clothes after 3 hours. Silage seems pretty good, it’s a very strong perfume.

Tropical Coconut (strong) Buttered Popcorn Tangerine-ish citrus like some cleaner. Thats all I could pick up on the skin. When sniffing the bottle I do get a slight artificial mango but never on the skin. Scented slime or Play-doh like quality - its THAT synthetic smelling, not what you expect of fine fragrance. Even if you moderately roll it on your wrist only you WILL smell it all day around you, slightly offensive in that regard. Overall not the worst smelling thing, but thats not a compliment when we are talking about perfume lol. This feels like a new Febreze launch more than anything, and I love Clean Reserve so I wish I could sing higher praises :/

The opening is a cheapy mango burnt-sugar caramel. The drydown is a lot better--more of a photorealistic mango with a heavy dab of artificial caramel and touch of coconut. It smells like a mango sticky rice up close, but when I catch a whiff from afar it smells like an artificial scented eraser. Still not something I prefer, but at least it doesn't make me feel nauseous/give me a headache. Still, I wish I hadn't spent 100 Sephora points on redeeming this. I keep giving this brand a chance year after year, but unfortunately nothing I've sniffed from Clean Reserve has ever smelled good to me.

After watching reviews online, I was intrigued about this smell as a gourmand lover. Unfortunately, this is “too” gourmand for me. I enjoyed the brief hints of mango which hit you in the opening, but the caramel is overpowering. My boyfriend described it as burnt caramel and I really agree with that description. The sweetness and intensity of the caramel feels very juvenile and synthetic. Ultimately, not a smell I gravitate towards

Don’t be fooled by the good reviews this perfume is honestly disgusting 😭. I got this as a sample when I bought something else from mercari so I gave it a whirl and omg after I sprayed this on my hand i immediately had to wash it off. It’s like licorice and bubblegum with caramel and mango but it mixes so badly together I cannot see how anyone would choose to wear this. Mind you I am a gourmand lover, like I literally only wear gourmands, so that wasn’t this issue here. There are just so many better fragrances out there, this did not do it for me.

The sugar overdose in the opening choked me out and once it dried down it became a synthetic plasticky mess. I think it’s the coconut note ruining this. It has that synthetic screechy coconut note that is in so many coconut fragrances. Not a fan. Also the caramel is pretty much gone after 5 minutes.

Caramel Swirl was meant to be a strawberry-coconut frosting candle. It's not appallingly synthetic, but it's not a natural sweet scent due to the waxy texture the coconut, strawberry, white chocolate accords have. The playdoh observation others made is understandable too. I'm not really getting the mango note although this reads as a smoother THoO Keep Glazed or the "caramel" that's in the name. Strawberry is the most prominent, followed by coconut, musk, and white chocolate. Maybe the only edible thing that comes to mind is a chewy candy or a very thick tropical smoothie, but I think of a candle first. For performance, the opening blast for the first few minutes is strong, then it settles nicely to a moderate projection on my skin. Nice longevity, 7-8 hrs. It's okay but not for me at this stage in life lol. Been testing from my travel size and I'm not really understanding the comparison to Cheirosa 71 or Ellis Brooklyn Queens Caramel. Those are deeper caramel gourmand without fruity accords. Same with Cirque du Soleil L'eau de Parfum. Even though there is a noticeable caramelized apple, it is more gourmand as well and isn't as lifted as the strawberry in here. I don't remotely think of Kayali Yum Bougee Marshmallow 81 which is very much strawberry Nesquik and not synthetic to me. The only similarity I can think of is the plasticky coconut in Henry Rose Dave. For sweet fruity scents within the house, I think Whipped Cherry is better.

I’m enjoying this one, it opens very sweet and creamy. caramel & whipped cream make their presence known, then mango and hibiscus are introduced but I do like it better after everything has settled.. that’s when I feel it becomes a bit more refined. I think it’s a very nice summer gourmand - it lacks the clean reserve “clean vibe” but it’s still wearable in warm weather. * I do want to note the caramel is a bit synthetic here - which can make it smell a bit like air freshener

i tested this on paper not skin! opening is like a sweet fruity lime drink/punch (it smells exactly like this dragonfruit limeade i get lol) with a savory buttery cake/graham cracker note in the back. in the mid the fruity notes fade and the dessert note is in the forefront. i don't know about longevity or projection but it was pretty strong on the testing paper.

Opens with a dominant bright, juicy mango. But that mango note goes to the background after a few minutes. What you’re gonna get through most of the wear is something akin to a Cirque du Soleil and Yum Boujee Marshmallow hybrid with a bit of 71 and 62. Doesn’t wow me and isn’t unique, but it’s a solid, versatile gourmand that isn’t too sickly sweet or dense.

This literally smells like those toasted coconut flake donuts but with a lead of mango (imo a confection mango rather than fresh mango). Reminds me a lot of Truly's Glazed Donut body mist but with mango. I like it but it's definitely something I've smelled before and it's a bit flat. Lasting power is quite weak.

I just received this today and initial spray you get tons of bright juicy mango and tangerine. Then a hint of beachy coconut. I didn’t feel the fruit or coconut were synthetic at all. Blends together with the perfect buttery caramel. This is a delicious fruity gourmand, perfect for summer.

Very sweet and yummy! I'm getting a rich buttercream type scent with some candied mango. Not a "tropical" vibe at all to me, just sweet. The mango fades away after a few hours and it leaves a soft sugar cloud around you.

I was surprised to see this type of scent from Clean, since it smells anything but. It's quite nice, though, very dry nutty scent, similar to Victoria Secret's Vanilla Macadamia.

It smells good in the opening. The dry down reminded me of Golden Grahams cereal with milk .

The best way to describe this scent is caramel mango bread pudding. Love it!
