Citron Fig

This is one of my absolute favorite day-to-day scents. Judging from the reviews on this perfume I assume that I've lucked out with the body chemistry - I get the pleasant citrusy and slightly sweet fig opening and a very delicious cardamon drydown with a slight fresh note, perhaps from the mint. It's a very special, subtle scent, that I have not been able to get close to through any other perfume so far. It kind of reminds me a little bit of spicy tea with a very subtle powdery note. It's such a shame that it doesn't work with so many people here, I get nothing synthetic or artificial from this perfume, in fact I think it smells very "natural" and inoffensive in that regard. It doesn't have too great sillage or longevity(4 hours at best), but I love the scent so much and keep repurchasing the bottle when it runs out.

Clean, bright, but still warm and comforting. Citrus forward but not lemony in an astringent sort of way, more like gentle, soapy lemons. Green in a way that sets it apart from many other perfumes. It's truly special. As it wears, the citrus slowly fades to something more skin-like, it's incredible. I adore this perfume. It's so lovely. I try many others, but I keep coming back to this one. It sits pretty close to the skin, but it's still noticeable, and it has moderate staying power. It's not necessarily a powerhouse, but the gorgeous smell makes it all worth it. Weirdly enough, I get more compliments on this perfume than most others in my collection, probably because I wear it so often. It's addictive. Has a similar "warm green" base to Wood Sage & Sea Salt to my nose, which makes sense because I love them both.

This one is very nicely blended, there is definitely lemon and a little bit of ginger spice in the opening, but it quickly transforms into more leafy-citrus blend, not sharp at all, very pleasant, there is a hint of warmth from the base notes that gives this comforting feeling when I sniff my wrist. Very addictive scent, it’s not loud, but definitely something that you can wear in the office and during summer without suffocating yourself and people around you 😅 It’s more unisex blend, I can imagine it will suit both women and men. I was wearing Light Blue by D&G last summer, but I think I’ll switch completely to Citron Fig, because the opening in this one is way more pleasant than LB, and the longevity is the same-unfortunately weak, but that’s expected with citrusy scents.

This is an absolute hidden gem summer frag imo. It is a watery(not juicy), refreshing citrus with a supporting clean/green fig note to give the fragrance some depth and a touch of sophistication. Absolutely beautiful scent for high heat. Just wished it performed more than 2-3 hrs.

Easy grab for daily use. Fresh and uplifting with moderate longevity and sillage. Also very unisex imo. I liked it a lot.

Sparkling, warm, bright and effervescent. Vibrant and happy. Fig, surrounded by citrus and popping ginger. This is so much more than lemon. It's clean linens saturated in sunshine and warmed by the summer breeze. Shower fresh but invigorated with subtle spices and green mint. Refreshing, daring, revitalizing. Every element is present, no more than it needs to be. Happy and sweet fig opens with teasing ginger and zesty lemon, creating that citrus zing that's elevated with deeper tones of richness. At the heart, exotic cardamom and juicy mandarin, accented with just a hint of breathy mint. Grounded in the middle and towards the base lies the woody earthiness of copaiba, sandalwood and one of my favorites, cedar. This feels effortless and natural, radiant and joyful. The luscious citrus (I want to eat it) contrasted against greener earth (I want to live in it) create an ultimate love in a fragrance. It's never too loud or bold or brazen. Instead, it whispers pops of illumination and inspiration. I fell in love with Citron Fig years ago, and went through a huge bottle. That was the first time I ever finished a bottle of perfume. Not as impressive as it once was and my preference has shifted, but it's stood the test of time and after testing/wearing countless scents, I still enjoy it. An excellent balance of bright and natural.

I was very eager to try Citron Fig, because for all that name's prosaicness, it's 100% exactly up my alley. And in the very first opening, it smells exactly like I had imagined it: a bright, fresh, and yes - "clean" combination of fig and citrus, light and happy and really delicious without smelling edible - perfect for summer! I was googling bottle prices within minutes, pausing only briefly to notice that fig isn't even in the official note list - weird, but the actual scent spoke louder than the note list, so I ignored it. Unfortunately, the drydown is something else entirely, rather disappointing to my nose, and it comes way too soon. The true note list shines through now: after less than half an hour, all that's left is quite a generic, weak herbal-spicy scent, shifting it more to the masculine side of unisex as well. And what's worse, it picks up that slightly metallic synthetic aspect that I associate with notes ending in -an, and that always ruins a fragrance for me, it even irritates my nose a little. Too bad - I'll add this to my decant wish list anyway so I can experience that wonderful opening from time to time, maybe before bed, but I was expecting a lot more from this one!

Man, what is it with the Clean Reserve line that people are not reviewing them on here? They are available at Sephora, so it's not like these are rare or hard to get. Anyway, this is a very fresh and safe herbal citrus. The lemon and mint are the strongest notes that I smell on my skin, with the fig being very subtle to non-existent. The ginger and cardamom add a little bit of spice, warmth, and depth. But, most of the components in this fragrance are either in the background or come out much later. I anticipate the sandalwood and musk are what's leftover. The cedar and copaiba balm do not enhance the picture, but rather make Citron Fig reminiscent of a salve or an "organic" skincare product. But maybe you like that sort of thing. Ultimately, this reminds me of kitchen cleaner or minty lemonade. It is decidedly not sweet and soapier than anticipated. Great for spring and summer, and when you want something uncomplicated but natural. Clean has a knack for making these sort of scents, but I prefer Moschino's I Love Love for my go-to citrus perfume.

I’ve tried 7 fig frags in just as many weeks, and this is the winner for a summer scent. Like Clean’s other offerings, it’s simple and straightforward. It’s the sweetest of the fig fragrances I’ve tried, but in a way that’s fresh and bright, rather than cloying. I also did a direct comparison with Fico di Amalfi and they don’t smell similar at all. FdA is a soapy floral fragrance, and much more sophisticated (and actually contains a citron note, whereas Citron Fig does not). Citron Fig is vibrant and easy-going; it’s the fragrance you’d throw on to run errands before a bougie brunch, while Fico di Amalfi is the fragrance you’d freshen up with before stepping into the brunch spot.

I really enjoy wearing this scent, but I can't tell you why, because other than the initial blast of citrus, everything else is just a conglomeration. A pleasant one. But, I can't pick out much that's specific. I'm wearing it today because I don't want to offend my tablemates at a luncheon. This is a highly personal fragrance, because it doesn't project...or last very long. *I* enjoy it, but I can't say that my coworkers have a clue that I'm wearing it. Sometimes that's OK.

Soft and summery citrus. Sweet, but not cloying. Easygoing, yet not lazy. A great sunny vacation scent. Casual. On my skin: I get the lemon, mandarin, a mild fig, and musk. The ginger goes by lightening fast. The lemon starts out tart and becomes sweeter. I don't get mint, cedar, sandalwood, or cardamom. And don't know what copaiba balm is. Maybe these other notes are rounding things out, but I don't detect them individually.

This was part of a set I purchased.....and, honestly, not a scent I had any interest in trying. I get a lot of citrus from this and (thankfully!) don't pick up any fig. I actually quite enjoy it, and think it would be a good "going to the gym" or "puttering around the garden" scent. A pleasant surprise, all-in-all. The longevity and sillage are basically non existent, but since I got it cheap, I am not disappointed! :)

Citron Fig is an extremely happy perfume. Very radiant and cheerful, it indeed can lift up my mood. I suppose this impression is due to its fruitiness, which characteristic also renders the fragrance slightly more feminine than masculine. It is very easy to wear, subtle and quite soapy; it whispers "I just had my shower" to anyone close enough to take a whiff. Simple and nice, but also rather short-lived. 7.5/10

My first impressions of Citron Fig: pretty good! Definitely fresh opening with juicy semi-sweet fig note.Longevity/projection pretty food 4-6 hours. Very natural smelling. I'll need to wear this more to give additional feedback, but if you are looking for a clean, fresh scent to wear in the Spring/Summer...this is nice.

No fig so the name is odd to me. Lemon and ginger are the stars in this composition. Slightly minty, but not overwhelming. Settles nicely into sandalwood. Very invigorating. The second I smelled this I was transported to my nana's house. Someone mentioned dryer sheets which is probably the similarity I'm picking up too.

Citron Fig is a bit too sharp & one dimensional to wear on its own (in my opinion) but it layers beautifully over sweet/powdery green citrus scents that you want to add some complexity to. I think of it in much the same way as Jo Malone's Blackberry & Bay... Plays well with others!

I only get the 5ml sample in about US$3. under this circumstance, this is a pretty good summer scent with lot of citrus and hint of sweetness from fig. I cannot get the musk or sandalwood on my skin. All i have is citrus fruity scent, and i enjoyed to use it as my gym scent.

What a fantastic clean sunny scent. It’s not lemon heavy but has this beautiful soft sun drenched lemon on your glass of water vibe. A bit of that ginger hits but still keeps it light. Only got a sample but will have to stalk down a full bottle.

An important note is missing from the note pyramid, fig. Here is a list of notes I found on Sephora.com: "Fig, Ginger, Lemon Oil, Cardamom, Mandarin, Mint, Copaiba, Sandalwood, Cedar Wood, Musk."

It's fine. The opening is particularly lovely. But it dries down to a clean, soapy smell. I don't think it is worth a purchase. The lemon-ginger-cardamom opening is really enjoyable.
