Clean Lather

I love this perfume. I absolutely love anything clean smelling or "soapy" scented. I am also a HUGE fan of the CLEAN line....I own most all of them with this particular scent...yes it is reminiscent of baby powder, but its not bad. It starts off smelling like you just opened a brand new box Dove or Caress soap, you know how the box smells when you break the seal...it captures that EXACT moment. After a while when it finally dries down it turns into this baby powdery slight musky pleasant fragrance. If you are a fan of clean powdery smells or tend to like the CLEAN line in general, give this a try!

Of all of the fragrances from the Clean line that I own, this one is my favorite. It's not citrus-y like some others - it's just plain divine. I can't describe it any other way. Although it's soapy and therefore seasonless, I like to wear it during the colder months, for some reason. I suppose this is because I ordered it during the winter and my first memory was wearing while trying to drive to work in a snowstorm. Anyway, it's the kind of scent that encourages snuggling. :-)

I have to disageree with the ones who find Clean Lather terrible :)I am falling for this little marvel. This scent is by no means "perfumy" as such, but it has a truly alleviating effect on me :) Calming? Oh, yes! I cannot stop sniffing my wrist... Clean Lather is powdery, fresh, musky, and I kind of agree with crumbling_image's shaving cream connotation... The staying power is simply incredible! :)

I adore this perfume. I have held on to my last bottle for years. I use it very, very sparingly. It's such a clean, soft, sweet fragrance. Out of my decades of collecting perfume, I have never found another quite like it. <3 *Edit* I finally have found two fragrances that are VERY close to Clean Lather....Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Narciso Rodriguez Narciso <3. Happiness :)

Clean lather is truly soap bubbles, foam, and lather. It is very simple yet pure and lovely. I like to mix it with clean Provence for a fresher more lemony feel. It stays on your wrists and behind your ears all day so you always feel wonderful and clean.

Definitely a bar-soap scent, and an old fashioned one at that. It does have a touch of the barber shop in it as well, not just the shaving cream but the talc. The talc note is prominent but it's not a baby powder scent it's the barber shop variety. I like it enough to buy it again.

I got it from a friend and used it once,thought it weird and decided to give it a try some other time....maybe. Then my mother used it a couple of times. On her, it smelled very different.Roses! Lemon peel and the lush,fully open yellow buttery roses!Who would ever think?

lemon scented soap with touch of powder; it almost has that cleaners scent to it. it reminds me of times many many years ago, my grandma:) it is a fond memory therefore I like this one!

The staying power of clean lather is fenomenal. There arn ́t a lot of perfumes that you can smell the day after spraying it but lather is one. I think its fresh and crisp. Smells like an expensive old-styled soap. The drydown becomes warmer than the initial wiffs. Not my favourite amongs the clean frags but definately worth it ́s money because of the longevity and sometimes(just sometimes:)) you don ́t want to smell perfumed.

I agree with the original poster. This stuff smells horrible...like Dove soap on overdrive/overkill.

A Smudge of Dirt on My Bar of Soap From afar, this fragrance smells a lot like Dove bar soap, and that fact is what drew me to CLEAN Lather. It starts off smelling fresh and soapy, which I love. The soapiness continues throughout the entire wearing, but the musk becomes heavier and the scent becomes sweeter. I swear, there must be some sort of hidden leather note or something because I'm detecting something that reminds me of it. If that leather note (or whatever it is) were not there, I'd be all for this fragrance. I love soapy scents and the smell of Dove. CLEAN Lather gets just a bit too dirty for my taste.

The problem with this scent is that you can see thats its trying to achieve that dove soap smell but it is like this is done so far that it fails to achieve what it is meant to. Its like a weird conception of dove soap, I find that it can give me a headache its so strong even on after a tiny spray. Its a max impact scent. If you are looking for that clean showery smell this is not it its too intense. Im still searching!

I am always searching for the perfect clean powdery scent but this one is nothing like what I am looking for. I don't know what pink dove soap smells like, but Lather smells just like a musky indole. The fragrance is very strong and I can only wear a tiny drop. It lacks a citrus contrast so I wear it with L''Occitane verbena and that takes the indole heaviness away. It is my least favourite of the Clean fragrances.

It does smell like pink Dove bar. Sweet & strong at first but not harsh after it's settled. The drydown is not bad. The scent becomes softer warmer smoother cleaner. Musk is nice & clean in this one. I can't detect much of the citrus until it dry down. Although I smell something rosey. Definitely smell some honey & sweet spice. VERY Long lasting. Pink Dove lovers give this a try :o)

Simply an overpriced powdery soapy scent. Save your $$$ and get in the shower already!
