Clean Shower Fresh

The scent of this perfume is LEGIT true to it's name. It really does make you smell like you've just freshly showered. I think it is spot on and aptly named. CLEAN really did a great job on some of their classic scents like this one, warm cotton and fresh laundry. The scent of this is very reminiscent of Shampoos. There is also a certain watery note that I pickup that I feel like what its making it smell like you've just got out of the shower. There is a hint of chlorinated swimming pool water smell that I get and I'm not mad at it. In fact I love it! That note actually made the overall scent interesting and not going borderline boring. I feel as though it was intentional to achieve the got out of the shower smell. Had they not put that metallic note, this perfume would be so boring and just smell like those regular body sprays imo. The first time I've tested this, I could not stop sniffing the paper strip and thought it was very addictive. Even after 3 days, I could still smell remnants of this perfume on the paper strip. But other scents like skin, fresh linens, air, blossom, ultimate, rain had since disappeared and can no longer be smelled on the paper strips! (poor longevity) I haven't been able to stop using this one everyday since buying it a week ago. The scent itself makes me instantly happy whenever I wear it. It's such a pick me up perfume. I've been on the roll buying CLEAN classic scents one by one and this is currently my favorite. This is quite strong too, same level with the Warm Cotton in terms of sillage and longevity. Which makes me not feel too bad for paying 79 Euros on the store for a 60 ml bottle.

Ummm, sorry, but I don't get any chemical/cleaner smell out of this and I don't see how this can be disgusting either ( I have no idea how someone can say this smells like a wet dog...unless your wet dog smells like clean shampoo?). It's rather inoffensive and smells clean. I actually think it smells lovely, like Pantene shampoo and soap. I find it to be very nice and simple scent. It's not sharp like the original, but it's super fresh and light!! OBVIOUSLY this isn't a substitute for a real shower, but, come on...it's a perfume for people who don't like perfume. Don't expect it to be complex. I don't find it long lasting, but it does stay close to the skin, which is comforting.

This smells nearly exactly like a shampoo and shower gel range that was available in stores in Sweden when I was a tween. As my parents weren't too well off and I nearly never got any pocket money, I was unable to buy it but loved to smell it in the shops and on my friends. Shower Fresh smells like I've just taken a shower with those products but longer :-) I'm not a big fan o fresh scents but this is more sweet and musky than fresh on me and it suits me down to a tee! I've used this frag going out as well as during the day and always receive compliments.

I first tried the blue bottle of this fragrance years ago and fell in love with it. I bought the updated version last year and my god, the difference was insane. If you get the clear bottle, very sharp, very citrus, bathroom cleanser and yes, a bit of wet dog. I just went back and bought the original blue bottle and it is so much better. It has that same DNA but it is not sharp or screechy. It really does smell like you just got out of the shower. So if you want to try the real scent, get the blue bottle, not the clear one.

Truly does smell exactly like you just stepped out of the shower. Very fresh, clean (duh), and aquatic. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a slight metallic note which adds a pleasant uniqueness to the scent. I have found that this Clean fragrance, along with Cashmere, has great lasting power compared to some of their other offerings. I like to use this one if I am expecting a long, busy day with few opportunities to freshen up. It keeps me smelling freshly showered for 8+ hours! Love it.

Smells just like it's name. Like clean skin and freshley shampooed hair, after it has been conditioned. The smell you get when you take the towel off your head and, just lay down on your favorite relaxing spot and you get a whiff of your clean fresh body. It's like making a new beginning and feeling all school, work or household responsabilities and worries go down the drain. Its a wonderful experience. Try it!

Didn't like this one at first spray--decided on Clean Warm Cotton instead. The more I wore it though, the more it grew on me. I didn't expect to like these as much as I do; they apparently work well with my chemistry. The original Clean, Cotton T Shirt, and Clean Laundry did NOT. All the notes matter in the end I guess. The Shower Fresh is great to me.

This is one of my all time favorite scents! It's so clean without smelling powdery or heady-floral. It's so clean and fresh and has a watery clean smell to it. You can't get much more clean than this! The name describes it perfectly.

Smells like shampoo, but I don't mean that as a criticism. I like smelling like shampoo, and I think this lives up to it's title rather well. Very lively, makes me feel happy and fresh.

Smells like your favourite shampoo, and lasts forever! :D It is a typical lively summer fragrance which is very inoffensive. This scent is like your passport to freshness! Mmmmmm...

my favorite by clean. it's pretty unisex, and that's probably why boys love it. it also lasts extremely long on me (actually all clean perfumes do...)

This smells so sooo good on me. I'm already on my second bottle. The only downside to this perfume is that it doesn't really last long on my skin. :(

I first tried out the original Clean one, and I literally hated it. It smells exactly like a fresh cleaned toilet, not nice at all and I couldn't stand the smell. So I do NOT recommend spending your money on the original Clean, uew. So my hopes weren't high for this one either, but I was surprised in a good way when first smelling this one. It smells nothing like the original one :) I really do like this scent, and my boyfriend likes it as well. It's a clean scent that make you feel fresh but I still find softness in this, a very comforting, calming smell I think. My nose doesn't pick up citrus that much from this scent, rather the white florals and I love that. A lot of people say it smells like some schampos and I agree a bit on that one yes, but it's not in a bad way :) I know it's listed for women but in my opinion even a man could get away with wearing this (here in Europe at least there is one especially for men though). It's a bit of a unisex scent, but don't let that scare you of from trying this one, it's really good! One more positive thing about this is that at least on my skin it has great staying power, I spray on 1-2 spritz early in the morning and can still sense it in the late afternoon wich is great! The negative thing about this fragrance, definitely the price. I think they really set a over price on this one, here in Sweden it coasts about 750 Swedish crones wich is like 75 dollars I guess. But I found sites that sells it for about 200 Swedish crones wich is about 20 dollars :) So that's a much better price and I only bought it when I got it for that lower price, I would never purchase this for it's original price. All for all, a great scent, it isn't "sexy" or sensual or anything like that, but a great scent when you just want to feel fresh and feel good.

If Vidal Sassoon made a perfume, this would be it. The best i can describe it is the old V05 or good quality brand anti dandruff shampoos (Head and Shoulders). or L'oreal shampoo or other quality shampoo, the ones with a pearly consistancy in your hand. That EXACT smell. Strongly chemical shampoo scent mixed with lemon. not offensive or unpleasant, but very unsexy and sort of weird. It really is like stepping out a shower. But beware of the risk of people wondering what sort of headlice you have that you have to wear such a strong smelling shampoo. Perfume is lacking in personality . Also the chemical smell gave me a headache at first until i got used to it. Great if you dont have time to bathe, or you love old skool brand name pearly shampoos, need a bland perfume for work, for some reason you think its cool and edgy to walk around smelling like moms shampoo / industrial cleaning products, or nude situations where you want to smell fresh and clean quickly Terrible for: dating, nights out, eveningwear, social situations I often think of CLEAN as similar to Demeter fragrances - not intended to smell beautiful or emotive, but to replicate everyday smells to make an unexpected edgy perfume. In this case, think of Demeter does "Shampoo" perfume

I adore all the citruses here, the lemon, the orange, the mandarin, all of them are bright, clear, and earthy. Don't forget the orange flower-it's strong, and sharp, and contrasts beautifully with the lily of the valley and dives into the softness of the jasmine at times. The woody notes are dry, smooth, almost sueded..and stable. There are very few moments that I think of "a shower" exactly, or "shapmpoo", or "cleanser" per se. A couple times I thought of soap suds, bubbles, water droplets, the smell of the bathroom tiles, and a bamboo-orange flower soap that I have. This is an all around beautiful and precious little straight floral! I think I am starting to like this Clean company. I recently tested Fresh Laundry by Clean, and I was so pleasantly surprised with that one also. Both scents had the same type of simple, pure, and attractive format. Just lovely!

Some of the fragrances from Clean capture "clean" in its various stages and dimensions. Clean Skin obviously is the scent of freshly washed skin. Clean Lather is that in-the-shower, activated soap scent. Shower Fresh smells like unactivated liquid soap still in the bottle. However, it is more like Palmolive, Dawn, or Softsoap - not like Dove or Ivory. It is indeed 'clean' but a more industrial, "anti-bacterial" kind of clean, not a sweet, comforting, luxurious clean. The cleancore aesthetic of the clear blue glass bottle is a perfect reflection of the spirit of this fragrance. It reminds one of a bottle of blue dishwashing liquid which is pretty much what it smells like. Be that as it may, I still like it. I enjoy the sheer novelty of it. I keep it on the side table next to my couch so I can just smell it now and then. Makes a nice gym fragrance.

I like the idea of scents that are fresh and not overpowering not to offend colleagues at work so I wear this a lot on weekdays. This one feels just like you showered and keep you fresh all day but the first bottle I bought just didn't stick on my skin. I loved the scent when I sprayed and no matter how much I sprayed it lasted max 1 hour, very disappointing since it was expensive so that made me so disappointed I got another bottle a couple of years later as a gift and for some reason this was more concentrated or something as I spray in the morning and can still feel the lovely subtle scent when I go to bed, this bottle is almost gone and I will probably buy my third which is quite unusual for me as I like to try new scents all the time

I can't really detect the separate notes in this perfume. All I really get is a slightly metallic soapiness. At first I didn't care for it, but that's because I over sprayed. This fragrance actually smells harsh to me if applied too heavily. I think one spray is enough to impart a sense of perpetual cleanliness that's implied in the name. In my opinion, Shower Fresh should be worn in such a way that it smells gentle and hugs the skin, so you literally smell like you stepped out of a shower instead of smelling like you're covering up a bad smell. Great for low key days or work situations. I'm now glad I bought it.

I know this perfume is labelled 'for women', but really, I feel that this is more of a unisex perfume. It doesn't quite smell like you stepped out of a shower- more like some citrus aquatic mens cologne (I know some ladies like that). It's probably a body chemistry issue too. I thankfully only bought a 10mL rollerball vial and not a full bottle. I was seduced by the 'stepped out of a shower' descriptions, which is why I sought it out in the first place. That all said, I wouldn't say I dislike it, but I doubt this would become one of my favourite fresh-type perfumes.

This competes with Original CLEAN for second place in this line for me. This is a little more aquatic and "watery" compared to the warmness of Warm Cotton and the astringent character of Original CLEAN. This is a favorite of mine on humid summer days and nights when my favorite fragrances come dangerously close to being annoying or cloying. I actually prefer this and Original during summer and Warm Cotton during the winter. Again a very simple fragrance that does exactly what I think the designer intended.

Just recently got this, probably one of the scents from this brand that lasts longer on my body, literally smells like you came from the shower, great sillage. i dont like how it smells the first time you spray it on, too sharp,I cant detect any citrus smell at all which i was expecting...but nevertheless, it dries down throughout the day into a mix of a salty but soft pantene shampoo scent which i love, its a nice scent to mix with a lemony baby cologne to soften it up at first.

I understand the hate for that metallic note everyone's talking about, but the secret to wearing this scent is to spray ever so lightly. It's got a good sillage and longevity anyway. I wore a lot of Clean scents back when I still lived in Manila, where the climate is almost always hot and humid. Shower Fresh lives up to its name. It's perfect when you want to smell like you just stepped out of the shower and intends to smell like it the whole day.

Smells like shampoo. Not particularly bad shampoo but the ordinary ones you can find anywhere or "head & soulders". I don't dislike it but I imagine people's hair to smell like this so I wouldn't want to use it as a daily perfume. Edit, june 2024: Reminds me of fresh laundry too combined with a scent of shampoo. Previousley I've marked it as "dislike" but now it's more of a "like" from/for me. I'd say itäs between OK/Like and also a bit unisex.

I smiled as soon as i smelled it. It is literally everything shower. Its a light refreshing scent that is better suited to your bed sheets than your skin. I have to say, its a nice smell but i just dont see myself wearing this one. Its maybe an around the house smell but if you wear this one out, someone is going to be checking to see if a tube of shower gel busted in your pocket. Really nice smelling but completely literal

If I can't decide, what to wear, I can always count on my Shower Fresh. The soapy, fresh scent always gets compliments and creates a fresh sillage. The lasting power is good. I use this mostly at work, no matter what season it is. I don't like the original Clean, but I love this one. It's a perfect choice for someone looking for a soapy, fresh scent, which has a good lasting power.

I blind buy this because I live in hot and humid climate I want to smell clean and fresh. And it does the job very well. Smell like you just step out of shower and goes well in Summer hot and humid temperature. I sprayed it around 10 sprays in the morning and around evening it still smell clean. I like this fragrance. I bought from Anz Tulpe shop in Japan for 3690 Yen.

One of the few ”cleanish” scents I enjoy, because it’s more like a nice shower gel or shampoo, not like clean linen. Compliment getter and an easy reach. I have lost my 30 ml somewhere but there’s probably only a small amount left. Might become a re-purchase, which happens very seldom for me!

I bought this in 2010 and I loooved it and still love it. It has such a fresh, clean, pure scent. I would totally repurchase this but on me it doesn't last very long which was a huge disappointment since it's the most expensive perfume I have ever bought to this date. But it is amazing.

I bought this one and loved it so much. It is a beautifull scent. The best in the Clean line for me. Smell like fresh out of the shower, love this one. I really have to say I don't like the other perfumes from Clean, they can be a bit too sharp, but this one is lovely.

This is a really nice scent. It really smells like fresh soap. A bit reminiscent of Irish spring soap. I love to use this after my shower on a hot day and keeps me smelling like i just got out of the shower all day. Nice to use in hot weather.

Clean Shower Fresh is sweet and refreshing! This is my favorite of all the clean scents. Lemon, mandarin, orange, jasmine, lily of the valley, orange blossom, sheer woods, and musk. Slightly aquatic and great for summer!

Soapy fresh, not a big sillage at all, stays close to the skin. Very suitable name, like you've just got out from the shower. Not glamouros or so. Great for spring/summer. Its not so remarkable but good.

Very clean fragrance, soapy smell. A fragrance to use when you don't want to wear any perfume but want to smell clean: when you workout, grocery shopping on the weekend, etc.

This perfume is exactly what it says. It's a shame that it doesn't last at all. I like the smell and the atomizer is nice i just wish it lasted long. I would give it a 6/10

This one smell like Pantene shampoo:) It's fresh, really shower fresh. I like it! :)

This perfume opens with a very sharp, citrusy blast. Unfortunately, it’s not the sweet, juicy kind of citrus. Instead, it smells more like a strong cleaning product. The opening actually gave me a slight headache, and my partner immediately started coughing. He did NOT like it. It genuinely smelled like someone had spilled detergent or an all-purpose cleaner. After a few minutes, the floral notes start to come through more clearly. On a testing strip, it even smelled nice. Soft, sweet, and clean. But on my skin, that harsh sharpness never really went away. About 10 minutes in, a light musk appears in the background. Still, the overall impression stays very “clean”, just not fresh-out-of-the-shower clean. More like I fell into a bucket of cleaning solution. I don’t think I’ll be wearing this one, unless I can find a good layering combo that softens and sweetens this one. It'll be a challenge, I fear.

If I had known how much this smelled like Simply Belle I wouldn’t even have bothered getting a sample since I have a thousand samples of Simply Belle from Fragnet. Longevity of this is a bit better than that, and it doesn’t have as much powder from the peach, but I’d be hard-pressed to tell them apart if not smelling them side by side. I like my body wash from the dollar store better. This feels like choosing not to use a body wash that smells amazing and washing your body with a generic liquid hand soap that costs more instead. I like Clean Skin so much that I keep persisting with this brand but everything else so far (apart from maybe Clean Air) has been a disappointment. Ah well, the search continues.

This should be called Hair Salon fresh, because this smell like hair perm solution. I can only smell Lemon peels, musk, and dog's wet fur. Weird but fresh.

Second review. New take. The opinions appear to be all over the map as regards the scent referent of Clean SHOWER FRESH. Our beloved MissK smells shampooed hair; The Holey[sic] Book derides this composition as a "trash floral" and jovially welcomes Creed LOVE IN WHITE back into the category of white floral perfumes. As I revisit this perfume today (having "wound up" with a roller ball somehow), I find that SHOWER FRESH is a near-perfect facsimile scent of a chlorinated swimming pool. When I was growing up, my two sisters and I spent a lot of time at the local pool. Nearly all of our neighbors belonged to the club because it was the easiest and safest way to dispense with one's children for the three months of summer vacation. Because of the massive amount of time I spent at that place, I can speak with authority about the scent of a chlorinated pool, and SHOWER FRESH does a pretty good job of reproducing it. The reason why the scent is not quite perfect is because there is also a fruity vibe to this creation, as though someone accidentally spilled a large vat of fruit punch into the pool. So there's the chlorine, and there's the aquatic facet, and then there's the artificially flavored fruit punch. It's all there, pulled together by the house of Clean so that you can relive that night at a party where you fell into the pool drunk while holding your glass of orange Koolaid and Everclear.

I get the idea behind the Clean brands Fresh-Cotton-Shower-Laundry-not-perfume-scents. And I think it's a good idea, but sadly I'm disappointed in most of these perfumes. Shower fresh is the one I dislike the most (not counting the horrible discontinued Simply Soap.). I got it as one of five rollerballs and tried it on 3-4 times. No.No no no. It's from the bathroom all right - a bit like very cheap kids shampoo or bath foam. Not the soft, gentle baby products; rather something for older kids, from a neon coloured bottle with a princess or a laughing fruit on it. I can smell a lot of things actually: Cheap soap, bubbel gum, sugary soft drinks to start with, later there is weird fruits candy before it dries down to a strange, very sweet, synthetic scent. On me, that's to say. I see that many other people really like Clean Shower Fresh. We are all unique and it's so important to wear a perfume at least 90 minutes or so before buying a whole bottle. But I still like the idea behind the Clean brand. Happily I've found Clean Cool Cotton and Clean Fresh Laundry instead.

I thought I would try this to see if this line of fragrances was some special find to tap into. That didn't really happen though. This has some vibe that's kind of ozonic, but not just-after-thunderstorm ozonic, more like I-left-the-ozone-generator-on-too-long-please-someone-open-a-window ozonic. For whatever it is trying to accomplish, the way it's crafted seems like overkill to me. It is possible this might work to freshen up bedding in combination with fresh air. I might give that a try. But as an alternative to more customary fragrances, simply doing without for a day would be a better alternative - for me. If I want soapy or shower-fresh, I have fragrances that already do that for me and don't really need one specially intended for that purpose.

I had recently gotten this perfume in a little rollerball, and I was really hoping to like it, it seemed like it would be a perfect scent for when I don't necessarily want to wear perfume, but I still want to smell good. At first it smells just like I would expect it to, totally reminds me of a clean, stepping out of the shower scent. But it totally changed once on my skin. I could smell a little bit of that intial 'showery' smell, but mostly I got an overwhelming metal scent that I was not expecting at all. I guess this perfume just doesn't go with my skin chemistry. I did notice that I could smell that metal scent throughout most of the day, at least 6 hours. So contrary to what other people have said, I found it had quite a good lasting power.

Clean SHOWER FRESH is the fourth Clean offering that I've tried, and I must say that I just don't get this line at all. It reminds me a bit of Dasani or Aquafina water, which is tap water that has been filtered, poured into plastic bottles and then sold to hordes of unwitting consumers who apparently believe that they are buying spring water. The Clean concept seems very similar to me, for it's not really perfume, but nor is it a real substitute for a bath or a shower. I very much dislike the underlying soap note in all of the Clean versions that I've tried, and SHOWER FRESH is no exception. This is a flat, linear, low-grade bergamot, cheap soap smell to my nose. For my soapy perfume fix, I'll stick with CALECHE or WHITE LINEN. Désolée!

I have several CLEAN fragrances in my collection, and while I tend to use them as linen spray rather than perfume, I've found that I really enjoy the line. My experience with the CLEAN scents had been quite pleasant until I acquired a sample of Shower Fresh. It smells decent when it first hits my skin, but the nice-ness of Shower Fresh lasts just seconds. The opening quickly turns into an unpleasant "makes me feel like throwing up" stage that unfortunatley doesn't go away. The intensity of the "makes me sick" odor eventually dies down into a less harsh version, but the unpleasant smell never really improves. Not the worst ever perfume, but the worst CLEAN. I won't be purchasing a full bottle.

To be fair with Clean,I think they do the scent as their concept "Clean". It's not a sophisticate,sweet or sensual kind of scent ,but give you an imagine of clean cloth, soapy kind of scent (and synthetic). Even the name of Fresh shower,I 'm thinking that it's similar to laundry cloth or detergent,it's not like soap or after shower scent for me.Anyway, I don't think that it's bad.But I will not buy the full bottle. Just small decant bottle for a summer time is enough for me. Anyway, I still wanna try other line from Clean. And I would recommend Philosophy 's Pure grace if you like Fresh shower.(I like Pure grace over Fresh shower)

so clearly a lot of people got a bad batch. I don't smell any wet dog at all lol. I really only smell lemon and orange. not bad, but not really something I want to smell like. I will say I'm a gourmand lover. my boyfriend is not. the only scents he really likes on me are fresh and clean, and he loves this. he was burying into my neck lol. bottom line this is way too straight up citrus to me, but if you like freshies you may like this. EDIT: I am selling this one within the US! it will be cheap because I got it from tj maxx. dm me if you're interested :)
