Clean Warm Cotton

I really like the offerings from CLEAN, they aren't widely available within the UK though, but fortunately, Notino sells them and SpaceNK sells the Reserve line, meaning I've been able to obtain and enjoy them! Warm Cotton smells, well, clean, sterile, laundry detergent fresh, like a fresh clean t-shirt after you've had a refreshing shower on a hot day. Basically, its a scent for people that A) don't like perfume but want to smell of something pleasant B) people who work in environments where they need a fragrance that just smells clean, inoffensive and in environments where they are constantly on their feet and want to freshen up during the day. I'm a sucker for anything cotton scented, I like the fresh, comforting scent so I was delighted to find out about this brand, there isn't really much more to say really, it smells like laundry detergent, but with a bit more to it, there is something really humid about it which makes it feel really refreshing to wear. Silage and longevity are decent, moderate silage with 7 hours wear on my skin from 4 sprays, its a great easy reach fragrance, and I would happily purchase this again. Nothing really negative to say about it in all honesty!

I cannot use any laundry products outside of hypoallergenic and fragrance-free. So I gravitate towards scents which smell fresh and clean like what the rest of you experience when folding your freshly-washed laundry. Clean Warm Cotton for Women is like no other fragrance I’ve encountered in my quest to find my signature scent. The closest I got was the 80s original of Calyx by Pescriptives, which has now been reformulated under Clinique. I absolutely LOVE Clean Warm Cotton! Unfortunately, longevity is about an hour, and that’s being generous. I have bottles everywhere though (car, purse) so I reapply fanatically. This is a perfume I wore on a date and it drove him crazy - he immediately commented on it and, when I gave the green light, he had buried his face in my hair and neck and couldn’t stop commenting about how beautiful I smelled. I can definitely see how this isn’t for everyone and I, myself, am frustrated with its low longevity. However, sillage must somehow prevail because I frequently am complimented on it after recently reapplying and have left the room and come back. It does stay on clothes and in my hair longer - thank goodness! I have found my signature scent.

freshly washed t-shirts hanging out in the spring sun to dry. i have a weak spot for that soft and cozy clean smell so i love it. i think it's pretty distinctive though i can see how people think it's one dimensional and not necessarily unique. hard to decipher the notes since the combination just gives classic detergent/fabric softener. stunned that this is not labeled as unisex. unsure if i would wear this as a traditional perfume on skin, maybe spraying some clothes and sometimes a spritz for freshness. less is more as it gets more gentle over time. i don't get cleaning products, just very much a cotton or linen smelling vibe. also good longevity, feel like this hasn't aged or changed in days on paper and projects fairly well. can see this lasting on fabric forever EDIT: i bought a travel size bottle and sprayed it close to my face and now i get the window cleaner reference! it's only if you smell it instantly after spraying though and then softens up. still like it! not getting great longevity on skin. it does stay longer on fabric though. love the feeling of fresh- and cleanliness

So I got a three rollerball set of Clean's perfumes that included this, Rain and Skin. I'm wearing Warm Cotton right now and I have to say that for all the bad rap that it's getting that I feel a place for it in my perfume wardrobe. This is going to be ideal for days when I don't want to smell like perfume. It does, in fact, smell like clean clothes, dryer sheets, detergents, all things fresh. I don't consider that a bad thing for me and I am enjoying it quite well on myself right now. It has nice sillage (about an arm's length) but unlike my other two new finds it does disappear almost completely on me after about an hour. The mini rollerball fits nicely in my pocket or purse though so reapplying is no big deal. This smells better to me than some fragrances I've shelled out a lot of money for so this one is a win for me. <3 Spray on ladies!!! (and guys!!!)

I love warm cotton. It a very simple fragrance. Extremely clean and fresh smelling as the name suggests. To me, it smells like my favorite discontinued dryer sheets, Bounce Pure Essentials Aloe and White Lilac. I don't smell any citrus or fruits, amber or plants, this is just a pure laundry scent on my skin. I happen to love the smell of laundry, it's the smell of home and comfort to me, so I adore this fragrance. As some people use lavender fragrance to quiet their mind, I put some of this on, and am immediately transported to when I was a kid and would jump into the pile of clean, hot laundry on the bed during cold days. This will literally make you smell like a pile of fresh laundry. If you are not inclined to walk around smelling like dryer sheets, you will probably want to skip this and find another clean scent to wear.

I bought this back in 2017 when I first started getting into fragrance and didn’t know what I liked but knew I wanted to be one of those people who always smells like clean clothes. I wore this in the winter, and it’s a cool, harsh, clean soapy scent. It’s got an artificial vibe to it but I loved it anyway. I just wanted to smell clean all the time and the guy I was seeing at the time said he got a whiff of this when I wasn’t around and it stopped him in his tracks 🤣 It lasted a decent amount of time from what I remember and it lasted longer on clothes/hair. I plan on buying another bottle soon just because as much as I try to branch out and try new scents, I always come back to clean fragrances like this one.

Smells nearly identical to the “Reserve” warm cotton version. It’s laundry detergent scented. Aquatic, clean, fresh. It’s how clothing smells after being washed, but before being dried. I’ve worn this to work and received so many compliments, more than any other perfume I’ve ever worn. My coworker even asked what the perfume is because she wanted to get it. Don’t let the concept deceive you. It’s simple, it’s clean. You’ll smell in a way that everybody can appreciate. PS, it does NOT smell like lemon dish soap? What? EDIT: after wearing both this, and the "reserve" version, i will say this version is more fresh and crispy. The "reserve" blend is similar, but warmer, sweeter.

This one is effortlessly fresh, comforting, soothing, and calming. It's a nice break from all the caramel scents that I've been wearing lately. A cleanse, almost. It's safe to say I am a bit obsessed with this one. It's like aromatherapy for me. It's a close my eyes and inhale deeply scent and just calm down! I wear my other perfumes but this one, I still spray on my clothes or carry with me throughout the day. Edit: My bubble has been burst. I sprayed it one right before giving hubby a hug yesterday and he said "oh god you've been putting that old soap smell lately on ON PURPOSE?? Why???" Darn.

Omg, straight up laundry detergent smell! And very powerful and harsh. Which i love! I get now why this is the best selling fragrance from the Clean brand. It's very potent and gives you the clean laundry satisfaction. I was intimidated with this perfume when I was testing it the first time, so I first bought fresh laundry. But it didn't give me the full blast laundry detergent smell I wanted, it gave more of a fabric Softener smell. I tested this again and after about an hour walking, I went back and bought it. Im obssessed with the whole clean line now omg.

Smells exactly like laundry detergent!!! In an awesome way! Id usually be kinda turned off by a detergent smell, but in this case, its LOVELY! When first applying it smells nice and fresh but after a bit of wear I feel like the "warm," reminds me of a just dried hot laundry heap, and thus maybe unsuitable for summer. I can't quite put my finger on what season this belongs to, if any.....maybe its a year round type of frangrance. At any rate, Im very surprised to say that Ill probably be purchasing this sometime soon!

I really love this fragrance. It smells like fresh laundry right out of the dryer. I realize that's not for everyone, but I happen to really dig it. The sillage is really soft, but it lasts a decent amount of time. There's a little citrus and some soft musk notes. The overall effect is one of fresh cleanliness. It's never offensive, and it would be perfect for the office or for a religious service. This fragrance is also vegan and cruelty free. I'll definitely repurchase when I finish my tiny roller ball.

It is a scent that gives what it promises - you smell clean, like newly washed sheets. It's uncomplicated. Is that everyone's taste? Maybe not, but it is mine. As someone who almost always go for fresh and citrusy scents, I think this is a great perfume for days when you want an uncomplicated scent to match with your white crispy shirt. I cannot say I am a big fan of Clean's other scents, but this one I have had for ten years and will continue to buy.

I have been using this for about two weeks now, and I think I've found my new favorite fragrance house. This scent in particular is very non-offensive and it's a comfortable floral(at least on me) and not screechy, like certain florals can be notorious for. I feel like you could wear this in an office or other "fragrance free" environment and no one would notice. This is for the travel spray edition. My Ratings: Wearability: 5.6 Silliage: 4.5

I don't understand what so many people have against laundry detergent smell. You use it on your clothes to smell good, so why not in a perfume? Personally I would rather smell fresh & clean than wearing a spicy, dark "sexy" fragrance that smells like BO after a few hours x) Anyway I have always loved this scent. But you MUST like detergent smell to like it. It's definitely a daytime perfume. Sillage & longevity is pretty good.

I am a FREAK for clean laundry and the smell of fabric softener...so this completely works for me. As with most other CLEAN fragrances, this is really intended to mimic the smell of cleanliness. This one happens to be my favorite of all of the clean fragrances. Because this fragrance is so simplistic...I really don't have much more to add. This is one of the freshest and most uncomplicated fragrances I've ever experienced.

I addicted to this smell. As soon as one bottle gone I immediately replacing to another. This perfume does not have luxury and elegant smell. This one quite neat but not cheap. Perfect for daily use to office. The smell stays for 6-8 hours. And everyone in my office loves this smell. My friend in office keep one empty bottle for "relaxation" as she says. This one calm her on bad office day.

If I spray only once on the back of my neck and once on my wrist, the scent will tame down and dry down to a very soft pleasant aroma. It takes about a half an hour at least for the really pleasing scent to begin. First spray straight from the bottle is a bit harsh. But the longer it is on my skin the softer and more appealing it becomes. That's when I love it and so does everyone else.

I'm a country girl. I love the smell of hanging your laundry on the clothesline in the sun on a breezy warm day. Sunshine fresh and clean. On clothes one spray last all day. I really like aromatic perfumes because they waft around you all day and you can smell it. Sunshine in a bottle. Long lasting. Great sillage. I Love it! This perfume really performs in the spray form. Rating: 10

OMGGG! This is such a clean, fresh scent...it reminds me of freshly washed laundry. This is definitely a scent that I could wear every single day. Day or night, in any season and for any occasion. It is such a refreshing scent. I definitely have to buy this scent again. I got it as a random gift from my cousin from abroad. The sillage isn’t very strong but it works.

I love this fragrance. I usually go for fruity, sweet, balsamic and vanilla scents but have always wanted a clean scent that isn't too aquatic. I love the way clean, warm cotton smells right out of the dryer. Reminds me of curling up in the laundry basket as a kid after mom pulled the clean sheets out.... Wow. This is such a comforting scent. Ahhhhh.

Yes it does smell like fabric conditioner but thats not a bad thing, its great for when you just want to smell clean and fresh. Its not a sexy intoxicating fragrance like so many on the marked, people just think your just really clean and this can be quite attractive to the opposite sex.

Oooo, I love this scent! I couldn't stop sniffing my arm and my clothes. It just smells GOOD. Clean and fresh. Only problem is you're gonna go through a bottle within a month, it doesn't last long. Not too expensive for the big bottle, but still. Maybe the Reserve has better longevity?

I wanted to be angry about the febreze comments because I love this stuff but my sister in law actually has a bottle of febreze unstoppables in the teal bottle and I thought she had this perfume. So yeah my whole house smells like this and my person smells like this and I love it.

This is just clean and fresh, really like it. It's not a fragrance for a date or party, but for snuggling up with your partner. I hate lemon in perfumes and was worried as some say they can smell strong lemon, I smell lemon for a second then it settles into just a nice soft scent.

I love this fragrance and its unique freshness. It has a wonderful clean sweetness like just showered skin Its so nice to wear in spring and summer after swimming or water activities. My favorite out of the clean line despite collecting a lot of other clean products.

Yep, this smells just like warm clothes right out of the dryer and I love it. This is exactly the type of fragrance I go for in the summer. Fresh and clean and not perfumey. Salty sea water, musk, and citrusy verbena are the most prominent notes to my nose.

I wore this to my wedding 15 years ago! This was my husband's favorite scent on me when we were dating so I wore it to our wedding. This goes really well with my body chemistry 7 guests bought a bottle for themselves. It smells so clean, fresh and unisex.

Since they redesigned the bottles from the colored glass to these clair ones, have they reformulated the scent in them too? This doesn't smell like I remember it to do when I tried a tester of frosted blue glass?

Absolutely love this. It smells like warm towels right out of the dryer. Fresh, clean, soft. It warms and develops on the skin and becomes less laundry-like and more simply soft and clean. LOVE.

I wanted something that smelled like Gain. I know Gain is not the epitome of classy perfumery but the heart wants what it wants. It really does smell like Gain. For me, it's a love.

And so... I'm a fan of this fragrance. Admittedly, it's a like, not a love but nevertheless, a pleasing scent. As a male who realizes that I'm not the target audience, I'll start off by saying that I'm a fan of clean and fresh scents in general. Men's fragrances such as Tsar (Irish Spring soap), Bijan Nude for Men (Ivory soap), Body Shop White Musk for Men (Dove soap) are among my staples, so it stands to reason that I would like a detergent / fabric softener blend as well and I do. Quite honestly, I expected this to smell exactly like Yankee Candle's Clean Cotton and and while there are strong similarities to it, this is more on the laundry detergent / fabric softener side as opposed to the "delicate airiness" of the Clean Cotton candle. If you're planning on buying this fragrance expecting it to smell like anything other than detergent and fabric softener, it would be a mistake - because it smells exactly like that. Moreover, as it dries down, it smells like towels that are still in the dryer and somewhat warm, after the dryer has turned off. As a bonus prize, if you like the scent but don't want to walk around smelling like detergent, it makes for a great linen spray. As far as projection and longevity goes, this fragrance is absurdly powerful. One spray is a lot and two sprays are almost overwhelming. I've found that to apply at a level that I can tolerate, I have to lightly spray it a foot or so in front of me and then walk through it. As sad as it sounds, sometimes, I'm hesitant to wear fragrances that are targeted at the opposite gender but clean is clean, regardless of what kind of plumbing you're carrying and smelling clean never goes out of style. As the first poster in this fragrance review topic said "If you want to smell innocently fresh, well this is it :)" I'm not sure if my "innocent freshness" will draw the ladies in but hopefully it prompts a positive enough reaction to open a conversation. If not, I guess it'll just be me on the couch, smelling like lonely towels.

I saw on the CLEAN social media that Warm Cotton is their number one bestselling fragrance. So I had to try it. If you stick your head in a bag of dryer sheets, or box of detergent powder, that is the exact smell. When I wore it, someone came up behind me and said "it smells really strongly of soap in here". Yup. and not in a good way. Opening with a burst of lemon and musk, and a sickly chemical sweet smell that burns your nose, you know you are in dryer sheet territory. As it settles, there is a noticeable warm note (think of gingerbread or lebkucken at Christmas but with more sugar than spice), the combination of the oranges and amber. As it fades, it just smells intensively of freshly washed clothes - or sticking your nose in a bar of dove soap. I agree with those wanting to use it as a linen spray on bedding or days you want to smell like your dirty clothes are clean again. inoffensive for work too. it would be, however, wonderful to wear on a summer day, the refreshing fresh clothes smell mixed with warm oranges and amber. Lovely for the beach too. EDIT: I have had multiple compliments on this fragrance and I am starting to love it for summer. Smells like dryer sheets mixed with the smell of candy floss with bergamot and a hint of peach and amber. So perfect for summer. I also bought Cool Cotton - see my review. This one is nothing like it. Warm Cotton is dryer sheets. Cool cotton is like sweet juicy apple mixed with bergamot.

Okay, I am going to explain the appeal of the Clean fragrance line for those who don't get it. While this is embarrassing to admit...it must be done. It is for those of us who are so busy we have to skip the shower on occasion. Or the laundry. Or the hair washing. There....I said it. Now, that I have admitted it, I will tell you that I am completely in love with this line...for this very reason. People hug me and say "you smell SO good!!" when I haven't showered all day or haven't washed my hair in longer than that. Yet somehow I manage to smell....CLEAN. There are more of us in the world than we want to admit. But I am coming out of the closet. Yes, I skip showers and hair washing sometimes. I'm tired...I'm busy. And its just too much dang trouble. But I can do the quick wash off, spray myself, my clothes and my hair with this stuff and feel fresh as a daisy. Regular fragrance does not work this way. You mix Chanel with funk and you get funky Chanel. You mix Warm Cotton with funk and you get....a clear improvement. Even freshness. And even compliments. Okay, the secret is out. (Sorry to those who are still cowering in the closet with their less than fresh selves). CLEAN is for those of us who are just too tired to REALLY be clean sometimes...so we fake it. So there.

I ended up liking this perfume more than I thought I would. I originally got my bottle in high school, so about 10 years ago now, and thought it just smelled like dryer sheets. Boring! But in the last couple of years I’ve come to appreciate the nuances of it. That in-your-face fresh note is sitting on top of a fairly active musky-oceanic base. It develops more once it warms up on the skin. The scent out of the bottle is borderline caustic, but once it is applied to skin or even clothes, it becomes very wearable. This isn’t my date night choice, however - more of a daily scent for sure, but it stands out against everyone else’s daily scent, which makes it interesting and unique. I’d also characterize it as kind of a beachy scent - not that it smells like the beach, but that it compliments a casual day at the beach quite nicely. My rating of this scent went from dislike to like; I think this is a classic case of the way our preferences change as we go through life. It’s not for everyone, but maybe give it a second chance.

The Warm Cotton Clean perfume is very easy to describe. It is the original white powder Tide detergent rising as steam from cotton laundry being pressed, and that is not a bad thing. I am old enough to know that hand washed and line dried clothes are removed from the line before they fully dry if they will be pressed the same day. Back in those days cotton was king and hand washing was the only true way to get white cotton clean but it never had todays jet engine like rinse and spin cycles. So, some of the detergent stayed in the clothes and rose with the steam as the cotton goods were pressed. Tide was the staple for clothes and the alternative to make a bubble bath if you were in my poorer neighborhood ‘cause Mr. Bubble was too expensive and we poured it out to get the bath water pink like the commercials! The scent you walk away with wearing Clean Warm Cotton is the scent of coming out of that Tide bubble bath to put on freshly steam pressed warm cotton clothing before relaxing the rest of the Summer afternoon.

It smells exactly like you would think. Very potent. If I use it alone, I spray 2 at the most, outside, and make sure I let it set for at least 30 minutes. The beginning is indescribably brain penetrating and head ache inducing indoors. If you are obsessive about cleaning...like airing out rugs, ironing with liquid starch, cedar chips in your drawers....get this perfume. 1 spray. Maybe 2. I bought it specifically to layer and freshen up a few of my heavier colognes. 1 spray of warm cotton to 2 or 3 of my main fragrance. And you can laugh, but it smells amazing with Elvis forever. Which has...Calabrian Bergamot, Rhubarb, Fresh Ginger, Juniperberry, Lemon Zest. Middle Notes: Violet Leaves, Lavender, Geranium, Black Pepper, Green Apple. Base Notes: Moss, Modern Amberwoods*, Salty Accord, Labdanum, Cedar, Sandalwood The lemon, rhubarb and cotton create a very fresh scent.

I've always been in love with the smell of laundry detergent and warm clean clothes. This does quite a good job at imitating that smell, but I find a bit too sharp, and very artificial. However I did enjoy my time with this. It has a beautiful warmth to it, and I think it's really impressive that they have caputred that in a bottle. It literally feels like a warm towel. It's also very unique and distict. There are some great aspects to this and the overall concept, but it's not quite what I was looking for. I find it's very polarizing, some hate it, but I also get a lot of compliments on it. I love some parts of it, but I can't overlook the faults. I prefer 'fresh laundry' by Clean over this, as it is a lot softer and the citrus isn't so sharp.

Yep, it's freshly-laundered linen sheets and fluffy white towels, in the form of a transparent liquid. What is this witchcraft? For something that smells like essence of innocence, it's a sneaky chemical prank and kind of subversive in a surreal way. What is it, even, really? An actual scent for wearing? I sort of doubt it. It's more like a bizarre sort of aromatherapy trick to play on your brain. You'll somehow feel cleaner, whatever unclean things are happening around you. Definitely don't overspray (it can cloy and turn to straight-up detergent or cleanser) - and it's nicer on fabric than skin, to be honest. But for freshening up in the heat, or refreshing some slightly tired or smoky fabric, it does the job admirably.

This was a blind buy based on the reviews here - both positive and negative - and I am glad I did! Yes, it does smell very much like dryer sheets. But . . . it has been sweltering hot where I live for days. The humidity is fierce, and when you step outside your skin is clammy, clothes stick to you. Wearing Clean Warm Cotton makes you smell and psychologically feel fresh. You feel straight from the laundry clean. Everywhere I go wearing it, I have heard comments like "something smells good in here" , "did you just get out of the shower". No - Clean Warm Cotton doesn't smell like a typical perfume scent. But for muggy, steamy days it is perfect! It really does make you feel fresh all day long.

My beautiful chemical bomb smelling perfume. I love this fragrance as it evokes exactly as it states. It’s laundry fragrance to an almost concerning degree, but that’s what makes it special for me. It’s Tide laundry detergent with a lemon chemical after balance, that just ties it all together as an industrial based cleaning solution. I LOVE IT. I genuinely cannot understate, I would never recommend this to anyone who was not looking for photorealistic laundry detergent. This is my weighted blanket perfume/ besides warm cotton reserve blend, my teddy bear of fragrances. I’m enamored by this house, as clean ingredients never intrigued me so much as smelling of cleaning solution.

The opening of this is quite sharp and chemically-like a lemon dish soap. The first two hours are quite strong on me, so I try to spray it a while before going out and only on my skin before putting on clothes. After two hours I finally feel like it meshes with my skin and has that classic laundry smell and it becomes a bit sweeter. This isn't the most amazing or exciting fragrance but I think it is something everyone should have in their collection. I work closely with young children, so I feel comfortable wearing it to work. It's good for when you just want to smell clean, or having a casual day around the house or running errands. I think I will try the reserve blend next.

This smellls like clean, fresh-out-of-the-dryer bath towels. It smells a lot like I expected it would but it’s a little strong. I can make out early citrus notes and I presume the orange blossom. Fern comes in very shortly after that. It does smell warm which makes me very curious as to how the cool version might differ. I like this and it gives me a nice feeling but I will probably use it as necessary - I purchased because I figured it might be good for camping to cover up the roughing-it stench. Or it may be a good way to kill that bonfire smell that’s oh so hard to get rid of, even with a hot shower. I think it will work very well for those types of situations.
