Fresh Laundry

A delicious skin scent on me, something I wear on those days when I want to wear fragrance (EVERY day!) but don't want to smell all perfumed. You know what I am talking about. This is a lovely scent for those times when you just want to smell fresh, and clean...YOU, only better. Others have called it a "t-shirt and jeans" fragrance. That description is perfect. It's a Sunday afternoon kind of fragrance, the kind of day where you let your shampooed hair air dry and you skip makeup. One more thing: it is a great fragrance when you are ill. I had pneumonia a couple of months ago and had to go in the hospital. I could wear Fresh Clean Laundry and still feel feminine and lovely, lightly scented, without offending anyone or aggravating my symptoms. This would be a great scent for anyone who works in the medical field.

fresh laundry is my savior, it's the perfume I wear when I'm not in the mood for an actual perfume, or when I go somewhere and I'm not sure what would be appropriate. the name is very accurate to the smell, it smells exactly like laundry powder. which is sometimes boring, but still very convenient, I believe no one is offended by the smell of freshly washed clothes. there's only one thing that I dislike about it, it's kind of sharp in an electric way, I don't know if anyone would understand me but you know the smell of a burnt electrical wire? it's that type of sharpness, but this sharpness is just present when you sniff it directly, so it's not much of a problem.

Yes, it's sharp. Did you eat soap as a kid? Remember that chemically bitter taste that burned your nostrils? There's the tiniest tang of this in Fresh Laundry. And I love it. Beyond that it smells clean, comforting, like a new day. Like all your clothes are pressed and you have a fresh shot at everything. Somehow both cold and warm. The warmth, I suppose, like the heat from a dryer. I couldn't decide on a season. Refreshing for Summer, sure, but the coldness also matches Winter really well. Harsh, fresh morning light. I really love this.

Laundry detergent + Fabric Softener They perfectly captured the scent of freshly laundered clothes/linen. Everytime I wear this perfume, I always get an impression of clothes (still wet) that you have just taken out of the washing machine. There is a "wet" smell in this perfume that I love. In the best way possible. Not necessarily aquatic, but it gives me impression of freshly washed clothes. I gravitate and love wearing this specifically during the rainy days. This to me is more forgiving and tamer than warm cotton.

This used to be a big favorite for me, for many years. Clean, fresh and fluffy as a cloud. Smells like you just got out of the shower and dried yourself with a towel who has been hanging in the garden. Fabric softeners and cosiness. Now I mostly use it on my sheets in bed. I still like it but use it rarely. Silage and longevity is above average on me. I love the powder, cirtrus and musky squeaky clean feel in the scent

The more I wear it, the more I'm in love with it. It really smells like fresh loundry, but even better. It goes perfect with my chemistry.. I The smell developes into smell of cotton. So I smell like fresh And clean :) This has never happened to me before, I'm so glad!! :) I LOVE IT <3 I'm defently buying it again! This has substance to become me signature scent, since I haven't found it yet :) We'll See.

I put a spritz of this on the chest of my clothes and layer it with everything. To my nose, it really is like rolling around in a pile of freshly washed linens. That relaxing, comforting smells wafts up around me all day - it lasts forever, which is uncommon for me and "fresh" scents. It's a bit too light to wear on its own, but it pairs beautifully with the rest of my wardrobe.

I'm starting to get hooked with this scent.. it's love at first sniff and I wouln't get tired smelling it over and over again. It's extremely hot in my place these days but wearing FL everyday makes me feel refreshed, energized and very confident... true to its name - yes, it smells clean indeed! To 4trl0ver: I don't mind smelling this on a man.. it's a comfort scent to me :)

This smells exactly like fabric softener. It is clean, airy, very pleasant. The scent is hard to describe - it's floral but rather musky and very powdery. If used on a hot summer day, it will suffocate you. I've worn it a few times and always received compliments. If you like clean fragrances that borderline smell like detergent or soap, you will like this one.

This is both sweet and clean and a bit aquatic in my opinion. It smells like a soft, clean, airy fabric softner. Not citrussy, not too floral. Just perfect! I already used up two bottles. I go back to this in the winter for some reason. My favourite in the clean laundry category for a reason.

Smells like a really nice fabric softener. Perfect for summer and for really hot days when you want to feel you just stepped out of the shower. Sadly, longevity is very weak. I recommend spraying it on clothes or layering it with other perfumes for longer longevity and projection.

Love it. The name perfectly describes the fragrance, fresh, clean laundry. And that is from the long ago times, on beautiful spring and summer afternoons. when laundry was hung outdoors in the sunshine. The clothing and sheets absorbed the scent from the fresh flowers and trees.

This smells so amazing to me, I don't know why. It's just so smooth, soft and cotton-y. I like how it doesn't have that "bite" or over-powdery smell that a lot of cotton scents have. I wish there were more forms of it like a room fragrance oil, room spray, etc.

I have the EDP which is still very faint despite being supposedly stronger than the original. Nvertheless it's persistant and smells like wet clothes (I don't know how they managed to replicate the smell of "wetness" but... they definitely did.)

Absolutely unrivalled imo. Smells like pure memories, of comfort, of childhood, of holidays, fresh laundry on a washing line on a summers day. Soft, fresh, light, comforting, balancing, will own this forever.

I'm also fanaticaly in love with this scent! it feels very fresh on my nose and I feel free when I smell it! will it be aweful if you smelled this on a man? Ladies I want your opinion too :)

I love smelling clean! There are more green hints in this than I thought but it is still not overpowering. I love it on those days when I just don't feel like smelling too fancy.

One of the best blindbuys! It really smells like clean Laundry, but it's more coplicated and deeper white aroma. It is perfect for every-day fragrance.

Tried this today, didn't like it at first but after the drydown I can't stop smelling it. It smells soft, but I'm not good at picking out notes....

Smells just like its name. A very pretty clean scent. Perfect for hot weather & day to day wear.

Very similar to Warm Cotton but without all the lemon. Lemon doesn’t sit well for me. In small doses or with orange is fine, but in larger doses, lemon drowns out all the other notes for me. This doesn’t do that. Starts out a little citrusy with lime and orange that gives way to grass, rose and jasmine giving that laundry detergent smell for a bit. It dries down to a soft musk much like how cotton with fabric softener smells straight from the dryer. Very pleasant and nice. People on here ask, “why wear this when all you have to do is wash your clothes?” Really? As if I don’t wash my clothes! This freshens the smell whenever I want during the day and is nice, pretty, and understated. Perfect for work or weekend with nothing special going on. It’s light and wears better in spring and summer. If by chance you think this doesn’t last, it could be because you’ve become anosmic to the musk because this is loaded with it. That’s why I love it. I wear musks very well. Please know that other people around you can smell it even if you can’t. Oh btw, I would consider this a floral woody musk and Warm Cotton a floral fruity. Just my opinion. ETA: I’m not catching much of the heliotrope this is supposed to have which is fine by me. I can get sick and nauseated from heliotrope for some reason. With this, I don’t. If it’s there, it’s in small doses. ETA 2: Wore this today and when someone hugged me, they exclaimed, “WOW! You smell AMAZING!” It’s become a new favorite and a comfort scent. Thanks CLEAN!

This is a perfume that is exactly as its name suggests. I've read a lot of reviews on here that seem to project some bewilderment as to this scent's character, and that seems shocking to me. I bought this for my daughter, because she was mesmerized by the smell of clean laundry. This bottle said Clean Laundry, and by God, it smells like clean laundry. Or as I would like to put it; exactly what I ordered. It is difficult to discern individual notes, but that's really not why I purchased it. It is my memory's sense of what fresh out of the wash laundry smelled like as a child. I would help load it into the dryer, then wait patiently by the exhaust, content smelling the blowing warm air of soapy detergent and floral dryer sheets. It was heaven, and tranquilly sweet, like the feeling of sunshine hitting the flowers in your grandmother's garden, or the smell of church Easter morning. Its the fresh, fuzzy pajamas pulled straight from the heat after a bath, or the tender moments holding your own children at the end of a long day, while they cuddle into you as you read. This is not a 'journey' perfume. It is a destination; reticent of simple pleasures wrapped in toasty embraces. It is as it proclaims itself to be, so there's no pleasure in looking deeper into its character. Enjoy it for yourself, or gift it to a loved one, like my daughter, who has cultivated in her soul the same tame comforts. But believe it when it says what it is. Clean Fresh Laundry will deliver just that.

The opening is what I dislike the most and it’s the reason why I won’t repurchase. It’s very green when it opens. It takes several minutes until that subsides and for the laundry smell to make its way out. This is much softer than warm cotton and also very different. I will update after I wear it more. Updates: After two hours it’s pure perfection! It is a strong skin scent. It won’t project but it will preform very well close to the skin which is what makes it great for everyday and even those moments when you want to fool bae and make them believe that the smell is coming out of your pores. If you want something stronger, try warm cotton. I will enjoy this bottle, but I know that I won’t repurchase because of how long it takes for me to love it on my skin. Your experience may be different, so I recommend for you to try. Update: I know that I said that I won’t repurchase, but bae loves this! Every time I get near I get “omg, you smell so good!” I have many fragrances and I don’t get the constant compliments in a day like this one. So I guess that I will continue to purchase. Haha! Moral of the story, purchase this. Additional note: I have Pure Soap by Clean and I was told that it smells like White Diamond. Crazy because initially I actually liked pure soap more than Fresh Laundry, but White Diamond? Spray lightly. Update 2: I approached bae and was told “you smell like fresh water and perfume”

The first day I tested this, it was very floral-fruity. The scent was also very fresh, not candied, very clear, almost acquatic. I felt it youthful, and unusual for a floral-fruity and The second day I tested it, I found it to smell exactly like a generic fabric softener dryer sheet, straight out of the box. The perfume also became very sweet on the second day of testing. All of the notes blend together very well, however the cotton flower note persists, the whole time. I love the cotton flower note, mixing with the orange at the top, the lime in the base. The jasmine and rose are mixed so very smoothly it is difficult to discern them, but they make a fabulous effect with the cotton flower and citruses. The scent, on me, vascillates from a fun, charming perfume, to fabric softener scent- back and forth, back and forth. I'd use it as a bed-time scent, as it has low sillage and it does not last long. It does remind me of Bath and Body Works Sea Island Cotton. Overall, it's lively and relaxing, unique, cute and cuddly.

I love the CLEAN brand, but not the scents they are famous for - the laundry, shower, squeaky clean fragrances. Shower Fresh, Warm cotton, Clean original or Ultimate etc - nope. Not for me. But I love Clean Fresh Laundry. Where I live we have a short summer and not too many really hot days. But when it happens, Fresh Laundry is absolutely perfect. I don't want any other perfume on a very hot day. It developes very well on my skin, like most musky scents do. Perfectly balanced citrus/musky with nice flowers on top. Fresh, but never sharp. Powdery at the end, but not sweet. // Update a few years later: A bit tired of this one lately. I find this a little bit artificial. Same with CLEAN Rain. Wont buy another bottle. CLEAN Cool cotton is my "hot day"-scent now.

I got this as a present, and I had tried it before in the store - so I was a little sceptical. The Clean-series is both intresting and somewhat cool - but I did not see it as a scent I could wear for the everydays. For me the perfumes were just mere fun - smelling and comparing the names of the perfumes with the smells. But I gave it a go and was proven wrong. It works great for many parts of my lifestyle It smells really comfy. Nice, clean, warm, - in a way. Far from sexy and provocative, and DOES smell like fresh laundry - indeed very pleasant. It's very nice for studying days, days at work and when you just want to smell nice, but not offend anyone or make a statement. I do, at least, have those days - and that's when I pick this smell.

The first time I tried this fragrance was on a day that I was feeling a bit under-the-weather. It was just perfect: clean, fresh, and comforting. It made me feel better -- like cuddling under freshly laundered sheets! I prefer to apply it to my clothing, so it imparts that "fresh laundry" smell all day. It is light enough that it can be layered with my usual fragrances, as well. When making perfume recommendations, I tend to recommend this to people who dislike "perfumey" scents in general who are really drawn to clean smells. Fresh Laundry is not groundbreaking or complex: it is simply a well-rendered interpretation of laundry soap, with light musk, green and citrus notes, and some subtle florals. It is indeed true to its name.

I do like it, it smells like the name says, clean fresh laundry. Longevity and sillage are both very weak, though. It lasts max 2 hours and then it completely disappears. Projection and sillage are discreet. Clean Fresh Laundry is perfect for hot summer days or just for when you want to smell fresh out of the shower and you don't want to offend anyone or come across as if you're overdoing it with perfume. It could easily be mistaken for the scent of a shower gel or, as the name recalls, fabric softener. I have a full bottle, but due to the poor longevity I will probably not repurchase at full price, it's quite overpriced considering the performance, and I must admit that I sometimes just use it as room spray in the bathroom.

Fresh and clean fragrance. It is ideal for spring and summer mornings, when going to work or just for a long walk. Its sillage and longevity are great too. I wear it these last 2-3 days and I got compliments for it, especially from people who can't stand heavy or more "sophisticated" fragrances. OK, it's not a fragrance with "depth" or complicated, but this is not its intention. After all, it's called "Fresh Laundry". What one would expect it to smell like? This is how is supposed to smell like. Its purpose is to give the feeling of wearing fresh cleaned clothes, it's neat, linear, simple and non-offensive. No excess, but simplicity and cleanliness. And that's fine with me...

I keep this in my handbag as a fabric freshener. A couple of spritzes on a jacket or t-shirt is quite refreshing in warm weather. And thats essentially what it is. It lasts well on clothes and gives that crisp, fresh, almost 'dry cleaned' smell, but this isnt a skin scent for me. No sillage on my skin, no longevity and it doesn't blend with the warmth of my skin, but rather it just sits there, smelling exactly like what it is: clean laundry. However, it doesn't smell like any fabric conditioner I know. There is no sweetness or any floral notes to my nose. Its more like an old-school American laundry powder. Dry, chemical freshness. Not unpleasant, but not a perfume.

It smells exactly like fresh laundry, but it is harsher than you would expect. I love that about it, it keeps it from crossing into perfume-y territory. It's pretty solidly laundry detergent. Just go ahead and smell a generic laundry power. Do you want to smell like it? Then you should buy this. I do, so I love it. It's all the more flexible because it doesn't smell like your typical perfume. You could wear this after a shower and before you get into your freshly changed bed sheets to feel extra cozy. You could wear it just around the house, or around people who don't usually like perfume. Or just whenever you want to feel comforted.

This smells just like a load of cotton T-shirts fresh from the dryer. This is exactly what Clean claims and exactly what they deliver. I like it. tk101585's review reminds me of something. I had this sweet friend back in the early 90s named Rosie. She always smelled amazing even during the grossest, hottest, humid days of a New Orleans August. One day I begged her to tell me her secret. Her secret? In the morning, she would throw her outfit for the day in the dryer with a scented fabric softener sheet she had lightly moistened.

Ok... EDT review - 0/10 It smells horrible. It smells like a toxic/poisonous green plant that literally me feeling like vomiting. EDP review - 9/10 It's beautiful! It's smells fresh & exotic, BUT DOESN'T SMELL LIKE LAUNDRY. When I first spray it on the skin it smells like alcohol that is sharp and overpowering. However, on clothes it's nice. I definitely wouldn't name this 'fresh laundry'. It great for a Hot day in an aquatic setting like swimming pool or beach.... Or on days you want that fresh aquatic scent <3

This review is for the edt of this fragrance. So I recently purchased the edt. I own and really like the edp, so I thought I would purchase the edt, as I thought it would smell exactly like the edp but not as strong. The edt smells nothing like the edp to me, all I smell in the edt is strong lavender and a tiny bit of white musk. If anyone is thinking of purchasing the edt, expecting it to smell similar or almost identical to the edp, then I'd suggest you try before you buy with this one(wish I had).

"Fresh Laundry" is a blind buy because the brand "CLEAN" isn't distributed in Italy. I was so curious about this scent, I love the Laundry smell! When the perfume arrived at home, I had a surprise! Yes, the scent is ok, fresh, acquatic and pleasant but I only can smell...WATERMELON :-D On my skin is almost fruity! Now, I don't know the american laundry smell, but in my country is completely different. Not bad, all the same, it could be so nice for sping/summer.

Great perfume for days you needed a shower...and didn't. It does smell like fabric softener, and who doesn't like that smell? To wear it as a perfume is a little odd, but I actually really like the soapy scent. It is very straightforward and not weird the way JLo's Glo is. I suppose that's because Glo has an off and cheap soap smell while Fresh Laundry is just what it suggests. This goes on a little strong but the drydown is nice...and fresh.

On skin, this perfume can smell synthetic and unnatural. However, on fabric, It feels more natural and appropriate. Therefore, I wear this directly on my clothing and it performs well and lasts all day. I think Fresh Laundry was designed to be sprayed on fabric, not on skin. I have both FL and Warm Cotton. FL is the softer and more pleasant of the two. But, they both give a post laundry scent.

I share this scent with my dad! Yes, Clean scents can easily be worn by both men and women. This one is easy to wear if you enjoy clean and fresh scents. I also have Warm Cotton and Shower Fresh - all three are suitable for hot and humid weather. It starts fresh and smells like musk and lush greenery when it dries.

It's definitely soapy in a detergent-y way but something about it leans more "cool" rather than warm laundry to me and as a result I have this issue where sometimes it smells fresh and pleasant to me like cool, clean sheets and other times it sort of reminds me of bathroom freshener or toilet cleaner

Laundry powder, that's it. I like it, I don't smell any individual notes and definitely no musk. I don't like musk, I have 5 scents from the clean line and the only one I hate is clean skin, straight up musk on me. So if you want to keep that clean fresh laundry smell I'd recommend this.

This is one of the better scents of clean, I have long gone and the smell of this, but thought it was too expensive. a few months so I came over to my joy, but it is a day scent, does not smell like much but it is wonderful .. only downside is that it does not last as long time.

I definitely do not pick up anything that is "dirty" or "sweaty" in this. It's just light and fresh, white florals and a bit of green notes. It's very soft. Like sunshine and a cool breeze on an early spring day. I love the way it smells and will buy again.

I really like this; it is a fruitier and sweeter form of Warm Cotton (albeit softer, like a whisper). It gets a like from me because it's weak and intimate (otherwise I would love it). So please make this louder and longer-lasting.

First impressions: (full bottle) Oh! I see that this is a runner up for me compared to clean pure soap and cleans warm cotton. I think this is the best smelling one from the classic line that I’ve smelled today.

beaker90: i also used to pair this with my other perfumes. give clean warm cotton a try too, it's like freshly tumbled warm clothes, it goes with pretty much everything.

it smells like one of the laundry softeners my mom used to use!! it's not my favorite softener scent, it's a bit too floral for my taste, but still very very nice

This is quite literally fresh laundry detergent. I will spray my closets and drawers, as I love the scent but cannot wear this on my body.

This fragrance takes me back in the past, when I lived in London. Cloudy day...and fresh laundry smell on the street...:)I like it!
