H2Eau Waterfall

Absolutely Divine!! I could BATHE in this (and water lotus) it’s so fresh and soothing and if if it doesn’t make you a believer in aromatherapy lol then I don’t know! It’s amazing and unlike many Clean scents truly lasts lost on the skin ( into next day on pulse points) and stays on my clothes until next washing. I really love and own many CLEAN products and H2 EaU Reserve scents but this is just out of the stratosphere amazing!

It smells just like water! I don't know how else to explain it. The watermelon aaaaalmost comes off like chlorine, so I guess it reminds me of going to the pool in the summertime. It also has a nice masculine musk that resembles aquatic scented men's hygiene products. Overall, a lovely scent that smells impossibly watery.

im obsessed with this smell but sadly it doesn't last long, and the perfume is a bit sticky (not recommended for spraying onto clothes). it smells like going to the beach and eating watermelon

This is a very fresh, sweet, aquatic scent that wears rather close to the skin. The musk here isn't overpowering in the dry down and adds to a fresh/clean scent feeling. The watermelon is present and lends to that watery sweetness. I found this to be a rather "quiet" scent that didn't have too much projection but I did find it to be rather lovely and something that can easily be an everyday fragrance.

One of my favorite truly aquatic scents I've ever smelled. I can tell the watermelon was included to add a likable sweetness to it and it does its job beautifully. Didn't know it was possible to make a fragrance this aquatic and watery without going into masculine fragrance territory but this fragrance is evidence that it is indeed possible. Gorgeous.

Among my top 3 scents from this line. An epitome of an aquatic scent. Simple and nice fragrance with a marine touch, and some faint apple and watermelon in the background. It'd be great for hot summer near water. Nothing groundbreaking, however, and you probably have smelled something similar before. Still nice, nevertheless. Husband approved.

It's a pleasant refreshing scent, and it honestly reminds me of an Adidas body spray that I wore after gym class many years ago when I was in high school

The scent reminds me of Head & Shoulders Shampoo in the classic clean scent in the best way. It's clean, refreshing, and non-headachd inducing.

I just applied a sample of this, and to me, this smells like a clean and fresh deodorant. Very lovely scent, and I wish it lasted longer.

This smells very similar to Clean Reserve Rain. fresh, wet and green.

Smells nice but is very weak and barely lasts.

My favorite marine/aquatic cologne has been discontinued, so I’m looking for a replacement. This is not the one for me! It smells like Play-Doh on my skin and it feels sticky. I will use it as a room spray because it does have a nice pretty smell in the air.

Smells like a salt-water aquarium with hint of watermelon. Like the others from this line, it doesn't last for more than 30 minutes.

Clean's H2Eau Collection includes two scents that explicitly reference 'water' in their names. An interesting distinction, considering that the entire collection is being primarily promoted by its water-based formulation and pale aqua visual appearance. Of course, wateriness certainly can be a two-edged marketing concept when it comes to perfumery. Anyway, as they are similar enough to be fraternal twins, lets investigate them both together. Water Lotus, the arbitrarily first of these water-themed scents is also certainly the more commonplace and traditional of the two. For it is yet another calone and/or melonal-rich take on the, by now, semi-classical, aquatic floral genre. All the same, it is a fairly pleasant interpretation, as aquatic florals go. Its not-so-secret, relative success is in having the more sweetly fresh notes, represented here by cucumber, water lily, and namesake water lotus; almost completely dominate over the more sharply sweet or cloyingly green notes of pivoine and muguet. Indeed, toning down lily-of-the-valley is one of the wiser decisions that Clean has made with this H2Eau Collection. The other scent, Waterfall, is more modern and acetic, ...though its opening is not that different from Water Lotus. It still starts out with the same old calone/melonal accord, though this time they're calling it 'watermelon'. However, this sweet juice is more toned down, while the geosmin side of the aquatic genre is played up. More specifically, a dry, airy, musky, even slightly woody, fantasy note called 'dew drop' is presented here as the almost transparent main event. In another marketing concept, 'dew drop' could just as easily have been called 'mountain air' or 'steam iron'. So overall, Waterfall is yet one more trendy modern exercise in environmental minimalism. However, I'm still enjoying it the more of the two. I guess at this point, I'll even somewhat gladly take another post-avant garde, 'hardly-there' concept scent, over what must be at least the ten-thousandth pointlessly similar, aquatic floral to come down the pipe.

After Musk Noir, this is my second favorite from the H2Eau line. On initial application, it’s pleasant, sweet, and juicy, with a prominent apple note giving it a 90s shampoo or Bath and Body Works vibe. Not unique, but enjoyable. The top notes dissipate almost immediately though, leaving behind the same musk note that’s in EVERY one of the H2Eau fragrances. I don’t know why Clean felt that was necessary; the musk really doesn’t work with most of line, with the exception of course, of Musk Noir. The result is that Waterfall starts off smelling like a 90s aquatic, and ends up smelling like everything else in the H2Eau line. I wish the top and middle notes stayed around longer; overall longevity and projection are poor. One thing to note about the H2Eau line: it DOES dry sticky and tacky on skin. Another reviewer warns about it staining clothes, which I haven’t experienced myself as I don’t spray on clothes. I appreciate what Clean is trying to do with a water-based formula, but I don’t think what they came up with works well for the consumer.

I was worried it would be too masculine because of the unisex classification, but this is so nice! Beautiful, aquatic but not (salty) marine, super juicy and watery, very watermelon-y. So refreshing. I adore it and i’m excited to wear it as it gets warmer here!! edit as it’s warm— this frag STUNS in humid heat

Be warned - this line of H2EAU fragrances stains clothing like a spill of vegetable oil. It is not alcohol based so when you apply, make sure to not let it touch fabrics. Also, it gets gummy / sticky. This line is great in concept but disappointing in execution. Sigh.

I think this is a would be a great scent for a man! Very fresh, aquatic, and a little sweet! I get very little watermelon scent. It's mostly just sunny and aquatic! The musk and vetiver ground it nicely! This reminds me a little bit of VS Deep Water for Men.
