Terra Woods

Clean Reserve Terra Woods is so lovely! It's creamy, salty, woody, lightly musky, and has almost a peppery quality from the geranium. I don't really get any vanilla, coconut (unless that's what lends it a creamy quality) or much in the way of florals, either. Within a couple of minutes of spraying on my sample, I was struck with how incredibly similar it is to Jennifer Aniston Chapter One, a pretty, beachy-type, salt & light pepper creamy musk that also apparently has lots of flowers in it, but also doesn't read as floral, to my nose, either. I know Chapter One, at least, is often favorably compared to Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, so I'd hazard that Terra Woods is also in the ballpark (But, as I'm not personally familiar with Soleil Blanc, I can't vouch for that 100%). Both Terra Woods and Chapter One have decent but not incredible longevity and are both lovely, gentle perfumes, both casual and comforting.

Terra Woods captures the essence of staying at an expensive mountain resort just outside Aspen in late summer. This resort has a rustic charm but charges around $1,000 a night. It features a couple of spas, fine dining options, a vast wine cellar, and an 18-hole golf course. I appreciate how the fragrance incorporates a coconut note, which isn’t overly sweet—it evokes the scent of coconut water straight from the shell, minus the sweetness of the fruit. Instead of a beachy aroma, it presents a creamy, woody vibe, complemented by other wood notes. The vanilla in the blend is subtle, more on the dry side without any added sweetness. Any sweetness I perceive likely comes from the tonka bean and musk. This fragrance is definitely worth exploring, and with bottles available for around $40 on eBay, it's a great opportunity to pick one up.

If you don't love clean, fresh, out of the shower/clean laundry smells - then this isn't for you. I love this scent profile and have veered away to try niche, Arab and other scents as I go along my scent journey. To be honest, if I could only use one type of fragrance DNA - it would be this! It just smells like you're freshly out of the shower and you've out on freshly washed clothes from the dryer. Clean, fresh, pretty and inoffensive! Total love for me. Can be worn for all occasions IMO too. Can be found at an affordable price on the grey market. Love the bottle too. Matches the scent.

Love it!! On me it is a fairly dry woody scent, but I suspect wearing during warmer weather the other notes will come through much more and hopefully the performance will be a little better. I think it is well worth checking out and you can get bottles pretty cheap online. Update: Since the weather has warmed up this performs much better and the other notes are more noticeable.

On me, it starts like a men's pine type cologne. When I give it time to warm to my skin, it gets into water territory! Almos like a sweeter version of Cool Water. Then I get a mix of woody vanilla with a whisp of coconut. One small spray and it gets bold, but then it stays quiet and close to the skin.

This smells like a morning hike near the beach! The opening is a very fresh "Cool Waters" scent. It turns into a citrusy-woody concoction in the middle which I believe is the coconut and ends in a faint jasmine, wood & musk drydown. It's a very short-lived but pleasant 20 minute hike. The rest of the drydown wears like a cozy sweater in a light breeze. Fresh and comforting all at the same time! This smells really good to me. It might just be the nostalgia of the opening but I love smelling it around me. I just don't know if I enjoy wearing it as a perfume. I might pass this down to my SO just so I can continue to enjoy this scent. I don't love it for the reasons I thought I would but l'm so happy to keep in my collection.

Just got this the other day from ScentBird. I loved Clean Rain Reserve so much, and love coconut notes, so figured i would like this a lot. So after trying it....i cant say i dislike it. I mean....it does smell good....but its pretty boring to me. It basically just smells like soap. I feel like people smelling this on me would assume its soap from my morning shower and would never suspect its a perfume. I dont really see myself wearing this....its like...why bother?

As I am addicted to Rain from the Clean Reserve-line, I thought I try another one. This is the perfect older brother, a nice calming woody scent. Not as unique as Rain, but outstanding also, in another category. Warm floral woody scent, great longevity, okay sill-age. Not overwhelming, but always comforting in the background. Nice addition, and a classy bottle. Worth trying.

So, before anyone says that this was rated before it was tried: I tried this in Sephora yesterday. I guess I was expecting something akin to Terre d'Hermes (the name Terre Woods would suggest that the definable notes contained therein would be earthy and woody) , but it was very shy of that mark. I don't really know what I smelled, and to add insult to injury, it seemed to have extremely poor longevity as I sprayed it on my hand: by the time I got to my car about an hour later, it was all but gone. This EDP could give Tom Ford's EDPs a run for their money in the "poor longevity" department. Pass.

I liked it, and it was veryyy soapy Woody scent. I did not consider it to be masculine. But it is just too quiet. Maybe it might be a perfect night scent / going to bed, but I have many more that I like most. I really adore the bottles of these Reserve lines - very Heavy, it feels luxurous! Consider buying it if your Collection is small, otherwise, you can find something else :)

All I get from this fragrance is the faint Clean DNA and a strong synthetic smell that reminds me of cheap hairspray or wet paint.

This is not a unisex or floral fragrance. This is a men's woods.

Blasts in your face like you shoved your head inside a washing powder box and sniffed it straight up. Very pungent and repugnant smelling fragrance, hard pass

Its been a month or so and the major note that is projecting off my skin is geranium. It’s not a laundry detergent clean. It’s a dry, grey clean. The Jasmine, coconut, tonka and vanilla are completely overtaken by the aldehydes. If you love lackadaisical aldehydes and extremely cold dry wood, you might want to give this a sniff. It does play very well with other fragrances, imh because it has no presence and fades very quickly. I like to pair it with louder or warmer fragrances that need to be toned down, cooled off, or bleach-ified a bit. The natural ingredients seem to bloom in outdoors environment on my skin. However, longevity is abysmal, silage is non existent and overall not worth $20 USD imho. I’ve had body wash, bar soap and hand soap with better scent sillage and longevity than this.

On me, I get sweet, woody vanilla floral. The best description I can give is if Jean-Claude Ellena tried to do a Hermessence scent based on B&BW Twilight Woods. That said, it's a very pretty, very inoffensive scent, perfect for work or for when I'm going to be around people whom I don't know or who don't wear perfume. This and Sueded Oud are the only ones out of the Reserve sample kit I've worn more than once.

I love this fragrance. It has a sour-y woodiness to it that is sort of musky and simultaneously dry and creamy.Theres an understated sexiness to it that I quite enjoy. Its not sweet at all to me, and I smell no coconut in this either. I can see how ppl would say this is boring. However, if you are a fan of SJP Lovely or Narciso's For Her EDT, you will like this cuz its a woodier version of those two IMO.

Aaaaaaaah! Beautiful scent! Fresh and very clean wood - calms me down right away. Has that "detergent" quality to it (and yes, in this sense it is a quality!) To those of you who are familiar with CLEAN's Warm Cotton and Cool Cotton - and likes it - this is right up your alley and 100% a save blind buy.

For some reason the opening reminds me of that Hugo Boss fragrance all the guys used when I was in high school.. Nostalgic scent, but a bit too masculine on me - might try to layer it
