Oh my, this is lovely! Where have you been all of my life? lol. I knew going by the reviews here and elsewhere online that purchasing this might be a gamble, it appears to be a polarising scent. Well, all I can say is (thankfully) the gamble paid off this time around. As far as the name goes, I don't know about cookies but I am getting baked goods for sure. To be specific, an apple and cinnamon pie baking in the oven. Vanilla essence has also been added to the pie, and you can smell it as it heats up. When people say this is a warm fragrance, they are not kidding! I've not experienced a scent as warm as this before. It would be just the ticket for chilly/ cold days. Spring is nearly upon us and now I wish we could turn back the clock and it be autumn and winter again, just so I can wear Cookies and Kisses. Images that this evokes in my mind are of autumn leaves falling all around and gathering on the ground, halloween, bonfires, but also.Christmas time. This is warming, comforting, uplifting and addictive, delicious and borderline edible. I love it right from the opening to the dry-down, it smells delectable all the way through. This is a firm favourite and will always be in my collection now. I can't speak on longevity yet, but I can tell you it is definitely strong enough to project. If you wear this, there is no chance that people around you would find it anything but pleasing. That is just not possible lol. So this is a quintessential autumn and winter scent. For day or evening wear. Work appropriate when applied in moderation. And leans feminine.

One of the best gourmands I’ve smelt, no joke! The first spray is very clean and fresh, and after a minute, the apple blends in with the chestnut and balsam fir, reminiscent of baking an apple pie or even making a salty cookie dough on Christmas. It’s sweet, a bit spicy, and a bit balsamic, and it blends beautifully. The dry down is smooth, woodsy, and a bit smoky, reminding me of a fireplace in a log cabin. I don’t find this perfume to be linear in the least bit and smells complex like two things are happening at once. On one side, I get pies and cookies baking in the oven at once, and on the other side, I smell a Christmas tree all taking place within a log cabin. When I first smelt this at Ulta, it didn’t really do much for me, but the more it dried down, the more I kept smelling my wrist and slowly falling in love with it. I thought it was some modern-day vanilla where the notes are pretty self-explanatory and linear but I was wrong. Yesterday, I bought it and was surprised by the notes when I looked it up on Fragrantica because I have never seen or smelt anything like this before. Cliniques take on a gourmand is very Clinique lol... they really thought out of the box for this when creating a gourmand like they would’ve released in the 90s if that makes sense. This one is gonna stay in my collection for as long as I can buy it... 10/10 for me

A lovely Christmas cookie by the fire. It contains vanilla, but it’s not listed. It is peppery at first, but it’s mixed with a resinous, woody amber, so it’s not overpowering, and soon fades, then it just has a warm spice to it. If comparing to by the fireplace (which I also love) this is not the same at all, more like a distant relative, but they could share a couple of ingredients as it has that vibe. This is much less smokey, much softer, much more traditionally feminine and much sweeter. A baby niece to by the fireplace. I can’t stop smelling this one. If you smell the sillage instead of the skin it does smell of cookies, but more a warm spiced Christmas cookie, I definitely get Christmas vibes from this. Unfortunately 1 spray doesn’t give too much projection, especially not when comparing to something like by the fireplace which is a beast. But it’s enough to smell without raising my arm to my face, and the scent really is sweet, a bit nutty, warm spicy and almost creamy. It’s delicious. Edit: the dry down is sugary sweet and warm, like a mixture of roasted chestnuts and marshmallow. It’s similar to Ariana Grande Cloud. If BTF is the uncle then Cloud is the grandma. And the sister..... This is Her by Zadig and Voltaire. I should also note that I can’t smell ambroxan.

I heard about this fragrance via an online review. Of course I had to try it. Went to a store that carries Clinique products and sampled it. Did some shopping, came back to the store and bought it. It just makes me happy! It's cheerful! That's the best way I can describe it. I love that I can smell the peppery, woody notes but that they are tempered by the hazelnut and apple. I know it's not a niche or designer fragrance...maybe that's another reason why I like it so much...its just regular like me...trying to make people around me happy... (just like I try to. )😊 Layer it with BBW Vanilla Bean Noel lotion for added longevity. And to be honest the Longevity is actually not that bad. I get about 5 hours. I wish it came in a larger bottle but this size is nice for taking with you. Price is good too. I ordered another one on their site but the Bay also carries Clinique products. Enjoy! Just found a very very similar perfume to this. Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere.

This is such an underrated perfume! I can't seem to find a bigger bottle than 15ml. It is absolutely a dupe for Maison Margiela's By the Fireplace - or the other way round, not sure which came first tbh! I love that it doesn't fit its name - there's no cookies here, it's 100% not a gourmand at all which I'm all for. It's smoky and woodsy, with a chestnutty toasty sweetness. This is Autumn in a bottle for me, cosy and comforting without the usual vanilla sweetness or cake smells that seem to be everywhere at this time of year. I agree with what other reviewers have said that it's a more wearable version of By the Fireplace too - which can sometimes feel overly smoky and almost musty basement smelling to some.

This is a very lovely chestnut perfume. It's not overly sweet, but the chestnut is not invisible either, like in By the Fireplace or in This is Her! (I only have a flanker). The peppery note is is a bit strong for me, but I hope I will get used to. The name is a bit misleading, some people might expect buttery vanilla, chocolate and cookie dough. It has a faint cookie dough scent, but this a spicy scent, not a milky one. Also, NOT a dupe for By the Fireplace... thankfully, because that one smells like an ashtray or clothes after smoking for hours. I honestly don't understand why that perfume is so popular and this one isn't. For me this is clearly the superior scent.

This is a great alternative to By the Fireplace, which happens to be one of my favorite fragrances ever. I haven't purchased a full bottle of that due to poor performance on me and higher cost, and I'm happy with this cheaper replacement for now. It is very woody but I think there's enough sweetness there too. I love the opening and wish it kept more of that spiciness as it dried down, it becomes a bit more balsamic to me. It actually performs pretty good (which is surprising), I spritzed some on several hours before bed and woke up this morning still smelling it. Really happy with this purchase!

Another winner of a gourmand from Clinique's Be Happy set for me. At first spritz, the Cookies & Kisses reminded me very strongly of JIL, a favorite of mine from way back in the day which is now nearly impossible to find a bottle of in good condition. I will happily accept this Clinique fragrance as a dupe, although I find it does not have as much sillage or longevity as the JIL used to have. I remember thinking how much the JIL smelled like anisette cookies to me, and I get the same warm and merry mood from the Cookies & Kisses.

I really like this fragrance. Very gourmand! I definitely get the chestnut and some woody notes. I am surprised vanilla isn't listed as a note! I am not getting BTFP, theres no smokiness and hardly any spice on me. Maybe BTFP little sister? It smells like fresh baked chocolate chip shortbread cookies without being juvenile. Lasts a while on the skin but only if your nose is directly over it. Not much silage but its a good fragrance for the price! If you like sweet/vanilla/cookie scents I would say this is a safe blind buy!

5 minutes ago Received cookies and kisses recently purchased online from Ulta and if you are looking for an over the top gourmand you may be disappointed. Now that does not mean I don’t think it’s great cause for me it is! Just a touch misleading by the brands description. It is sweet and comforting but to warn others I must say it is a bit musky on the dry down. And of course those darn half oz bottles! Great for throwing in your purse but being a certified perfume addict this teeny bottle may last the month!

I tested this on an 80 degree day so keep that in mind: Initially I did get a blast of warm vanilla cookies fresh from the oven, but the dry down on my skin was a warm summer day at the beach. The ambroxen really came forward and with the chestnut left almost a coconut note, borderline sunscreen. It’s a very sweet warm scent, and I’m excited to try it in cooler weather to see what notes come forward. I didn’t smell any resemblance to By The Fireplace (which I also like), no burnt notes detected.

Cookies and Kisses is a scent that says 🍁Welcome Fall🍁. On me it is spicy, nutty, dry and a touch sweet. I love it! Also love the hand feel of the bottle! To extend the life of the scent, I moisturize with Bath and Body Works Bonfire Bash body cream first and then I can smell the goodness for 8-ish hours! I will be wearing this a lot this season. UPDATE: Everytime I wear this (6th time now) I can smell it even stronger! Its so good, but now I need to be careful with how much I spray!

this is SO yummy to me. definitely not cookies, but maybe kisses? I don’t really gravitate towards woodsy or spicy fragrances but this one is amazing and warm and not boring. I do detect a sweetness in this perfume but it’s definitely not the main attraction. it’s like a chilly November day when all the leaves are almost gone and you’re already anticipating Christmas. or drinking a spicy tea and reading a book at nighttime in your favorite sweater. I need this in a full size!

I’m not sure why this is rated so poorly but it is GORGEOUS. Every moment of this fragrance is a dream. There is something very familiar and special about the base notes on this. It’s cozy, soft, woody, delicious. I pick up a beautiful powdery quality that reminds me of my mom, without it smelling too mature. Feminine and lovely, it reminds me of Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. I enjoy this as an every day fragrance, especially in cooler weather.

I was surprised by this fragrance. If I had to pick this blindly, I wouldn't have, but I smelled it first. I don't really like gourmand. I like Woody, spicy scents, but I'd expect this to be gourmand, by the name. It is, but it's more woody, imo. It's so good. I smell chestnut, a woody note and spice, but it's so clean as well. It reminds me of another perfume, but I can't place it. It's definitely not BTFP, to me, at least.

One of my favorites right now. I hope they don’t discontinue. It’s a very cozy winter/fall scent, but can be layered (sparingly) with brighter scents during the summer. Not cloyingly sweet. Has a nice spiciness to it, as well as the sweet gourmand scent I love so much. It reminds me of the Bodycology Campfire S’mores body spray, but lasts much longer & has better sillage.

Just needed to add it's not a perfect dupe of By the Fireplace. It's similar in ways but not a dupe by any means. In this perfume it's woody apples. It is sweet but not teeny bopper sweet. I have no clue why it's called cookies when it's more spicey apple pie. I LOVE IT. If they sold it in big bottles , I'd buy one in a heartbeat !

Oh, how I love this fragrance. I’m on my third bottle. At the risk of sounding controversial, this is better than By the Fireplace. The price is insanely low for such a wonderful, nuanced, long-lasting scent. Cookies & Kisses is an idyllic November evening, a warm hug from your grandmother, a walk in the woods. Buy it right now.

Love it! Most people complain that they expected a super sweet sugar cookie gourmand due to the name, but even the product descriptions describes it as spiced. It's a perfect cold weather spicy warm scent. It becomes more masculine and spicy as it dries down, which I love! Longevity could be better.

Whimsical and sweet fragrance that keeps me happy. It is delicious and pleasant and you cant really go wrong. An amazing scent to layer on top of more musky fragrances. I wish it lasted longer and came in bigger bottles, then it would be the best!

Not quite sure how anyone could pick up urine in this scent. This is an absolutely gorgeous spicy, lightly smoky, cozy scent very reminiscent of BTF. The only problem is longevity, I’ve never gotten more than an hour wearing this. Such a shame.

This smells like Christmastime in a bottle. I get the balsam and chestnut notes mainly, but I’m not complaining. Sillage is good while it lasts but I feel like I lose it after a couple hours. Still love and wish they sold a big boy bottle.

Starts out warm and spicy on me. It reads as cinnamon at first and dries down more sweet and spicy woods. This is cozy, warm, and delicious smelling. I love this kind of spicy scent that lends both comfort and a bit of mystery

This is the slightly sweet sandalwood fragrance I’ve been dreaming of!! So cozy. I tried simply because I was curious of Clinique’s take on a gourmand, without knowing the notes. Might have to go back to Ulta to purchase.

This and Christian Siriano’s Midnight Silhouette both smell like delicious flavored pipe tobacco, even though neither lists tobacco as a note. Unisex and sophisticated. Love! Especially for the 12 USD at TJ Maxx.

Why this hasn’t been compared to Madagascar Vanilla by Nest yet - I have no idea. They smell so similar to me. If you like that fragrance and not the price point, this is definitely a close dupe in my opinion.

I reviewed this in November 2023, and I had to drop another comment. My bottle was nearly empty, and I spotted 3 bottles of this (on clearance) at Burlington today. I bought all 3. No regrets.

I don't get the Btfp connection. It's not smoky. It's like a baked apple dessert. Sweet and spicy. Yummy. I do see how if you like one you might like the other.

Some of y'all need to learn what a dupe really is. This perfume has a lovely apple note. It's apple pie. This isn't a dupe of BTFP. I love them both though.

I'm wearing this today.... a chilly November day. It smells remarkably like By the Fireplace. Just wonderful and a compliment getter. Cozy, sexy. Yum.

I really love how this perfume sits on my skin. It's the type of perfume where you 'wear it for yourself' rather than others because it projects lightly enough for you to smell your wrist, or like me, you're writing a paper at 12am, get sidetracked, and want to smell something nice. Cookies & Kisses (not cookies but in a good way) has that GOOD smell in the sense that it's unique enough from multiple different fall/winter fragrances in the current market. It's like if By the Fireplace and Prada Candy had a baby. If you have good skin chemistry with Prada candy but don't want to smell excessive caramel-y sweet, the warm 'chestnuts roasting on an open fire' scent balances itself out. Though the only thing I have to complain about is how I almost get an iris like scent to it. It has that carrot-like element to it like Atelier's Iris Rebelle. otherwise I find this perfume to be really pretty and quite comforting because I do see myself wearing this in the winter and layering with other light warmer scents. This is the type of perfume you do NOT want to outshine while layering. On a side note you can find this perfume for cheap on eBay (half the retail price of $35 at ulta) and I bought this perfume on an impulse whim and I am actually happy!!!!

Like others have mentioned, this reminds me a lot of By the Fireplace. I find the dry down more sweet than BtF but it's not too sweet that it's sickly or headache inducing. If the wear is good, I could see myself buying a bottle. edit: After 8+ hours, I'm disappointed in the longevity. I was hoping this would perform better than By the Fireplace (which is basically non-existent on me in a couple of hours) but on me at least, it wore very close to the skin after a few hours. Not too bad for the price but I had higher expectations from my first stab at a Clinique perfume.

I just got this and I'm pleasantly surprised. You can really smell the chestnut... it's sweetness and nutty smell. I really get a big spice smell at first spray, I thought for sure this had cloves in it. This made me think of when my mother in-law cooks her amazing chestnut cakes and the aroma fills the air. It's spicy, sweet (but not sugar sweet) and fluffy. Imagine wearing a big comfortable sweater, drinking a nice tea and eating chestnut cake. I wouldn't wear this every day... but it's fun on Sunday afternoons while reading a good book.

Yet another Clinique fragrance with a misleading name (hey, Cocoa & Cashmere!), but I still like this a lot nonetheless, even as someone typically not into smokey fragrances. This does not smell "spicy" like Christmas IMO, but it smells more like a chilly fall day where you're out for a walk and the scent of fireplaces, crisp leaves and neighbors baking fruit pies fills the air. I don't know how often I'll wear it, but I'm glad to have it in my collection. Smells far more expensive than it is.

the notes definitely make this perfume seem a lot more complex than it is. i dont really get any apple or bergamont, however to me it smells exactly salty chocolate chip cookie dough. i know a lot of people say this fragrance is misleading because it doesnt smell like cookies, but i get soooo much cookie dough. it is a little spicy and can get headache inducing after a while. i love the scent, however it just does not last on my skin at all, i feel like its completely gone after an hour.

Yep, this is a dupe for By the Fireplace. I think this one is softer and less smoky, but they are extremely similar. I'll have to do a side by side! Fragrantica is missing the fragrance notes vanilla and cinnamon. Edit: side by side, cookies and kisses is indeed softer, more sweet with the apples being pretty prominent, and overall less striking and smoky. Not as exact as I thought when comparing from memory alone, but you can certainly still draw the comparison.

Super spicy on me. The pepper, wood and chesnut really dominate. I can’t pick up anything sweet. This isn’t bad, just not what the name suggests lol. It certainly leans toward By the Fireplace just far less smoky and more spicy/woody so if the smokiness was too much for you this could be a good alternative. I love by the fireplace more as a blend in general than this frag however, and because this doesn’t last as long.

I don't get cookies at all from this fragrance. I purchased because it reminded me of By The Fireplace, only better. It has the same woody vibes without the extreme smokiness. The longevity is a plus as well.

Definitely smells nothing like a cookie....it almost smells like christmas. A bit cozy and then a bit like a fresh christmas tree. I do like it, but dont expect it to smell like a pastry.

It definitely does not smell like cookies or kisses but I do like the fragrance. I mainly pick up on the pink pepper and apple notes. I will say, it is lacking in depth a bit.

Very gourmand. This and Cocoa and Kisses are good Fall scents. Make me feel like wrapping myself in a blanket and baking cookies by a fireplace.

This truly smells so similar to Replica By The Fireplace...it's a bit surprising to me that I couldn't place what fragrance this reminds me of at first. (I swear my brain has turned into swiss cheese since the pandemic). Now that I see the comparison to BTF it's all I can think about. (I think I just really wanted to lean into the "cookie" part of the name, but truthfully I smell nothing cookie-related at all). I think Cookies and Kisses is more balsamic and I don't typically enjoy that. I prefer the smokiness, the sweetness, the vanilla aspect of BTF. I'm curious to see how long this lasts on me though. I think this could be a good option for someone who sort of likes the scent profile of BTF, but feels something is just off. This is worth checking out.

Very synthetic sweet-smelling. Only similar note to By the Fireplace is the chestnut. Clinique's chestnut is shallower and more artificial smelling. I don't think Fireplace has an outstanding chestnut note either, but it is fuller and more realistic. In a crowd or passerby this could be smelled as By the Fireplace, so there's that if you're looking. On yourself though, it would be hard to sit with this scent for too long--imo--as the cloying synthetic sweetness becomes overbearing after 10 minutes. The rest of this leans into drugstore bodyspray mash of cloying, cheap sweetness. There's an idea of fir vaguely there, a tiny pinch of tartness in drydown, and a generic wood idea in the base; you'd be hard-pressed beyond that to smell other notes distinctly.

I’ve had this and loved it at first smell but my head can not handle the woods and Amber. I get an immediate headache. I’m not sensitive but if you are, this might be one to stay away from. It’s very strong and so long lasting that at one point I had to go home from work and take a shower to get it off because I couldn’t handle it anymore even though everyone at work complemented how I smelled lol! Test this out on your body if you can before buying if you’re sensitive.

It's ok. It really does smell like cookies, but it's very weak. It's a nice scent but barely there. If I want a cookie-leaning fragrance, I think I'd rather go with Fresh Cream or maybe Black Opium. However, there are times when I just need a low-key skin scent, and that's what this could work for. The price is incredible, the packaging is cute, and Clinique is one of my favorite brands. For those reasons, I might eventually purchase it.

The name is a lie. It's like you baked cookies but the house caught fire. Very woody and spicy. Smells like black pepper. Smells so much like By the Fireplace and Bonfire Bash. It's alright. There's a few things to pick from now for this scent profile, so I don't know if I would repurchase. Not gourmand enough for me, so I will probably only wear it layered with something vanilla. Will use up what I have though.

🫧 false naming for this perfume! it smells nothing like cookies, nor is it gourmand. it does not last as long as i was expecting, knowing that many other perfumes last long. it smells very woodsy and outdoorsy. 🫧 don't go expecting this to smell like actual cookies and kisses! it smells nothing like it. kinda disappointed because i love Clinique perfumes! nice for woodsy/musky lovers though! 🫶🏾

I'm wearing this now, and I have to say I'd like it better if I didn't know the name. I was expecting it to smell like...well, cookies. On me it's woody, strong cedar note, a little pine, a little spice. Unisex, maybe leans masculine. Not at all my usual fare but it was a free sample. Might be a better fit for my brother but he'd never wear anything with "cookies" in the name.
