1872 Twist Bergamot

Oh man guys; this is 1872 with a tremendous summer punch of fresh citrus! This is such an amazing flanker in terms that it can separate itself form the original while still holding its indigenous integrity. The bergamot isn't an overly soapy bergamot like some of the higher end exclusive bergamot fragrances. This is a fresh juicy blast thanks to the mandarin. It dries down to the original 1872, just slightly fresher. And because it is fresher with the new citruses included, I almost get a lime note on the dry down...all to my benefit! This is fantastic and is easily now my favorite 1872 fragrance. Job. Well. Done. I would say this definitely pulls masculine without question....just to throw that out there. Fresh, juicy, elegant, spicy-green, herbaceous.

A dream for citrus lovers! This opens with a beautiful splash of citruses. The bergamot isn’t the screechy kind, but very smooth and green. There is a sweet undertone from the mandarin to the zingy bite of the bergamot. Some slightly bitter and floral green notes interplay with the citruses — it makes me think of standing under a fresh bitter-orange tree and opening one of the fruits in my hand. The quality of the citrus notes is incredible. The drydown retains a citrus presence but largely moves into a green, slightly sweet, fresh and soapy territory. Beautifully constructed and so clean. Performance is excellent for a fragrance of this kind, projecting well for about 4 hours and longevity of at least 10 hours. The only con of this fragrance is the price, but the quality is absolutely incredible. A perfectly smooth, photorealistic and clean citrus fragrance. Up there with the very best.
