E Cashmere Musk

Ok, so last night I sprayed the perfume after shower before going to bed. It was a summer breezy night. On bed my husband literally put his nose on my neck for very long time while hugging me tightly and kept saying that I smell really good. I sprayed the perfume on the back of my neck, my chest, and my inner lower arms. I agree with everyone that this perfume does not project like a beast. But hey, the perfume did not only enveloped me in warmth, but also made my husband embrace me more. I could not ask for more than being loved more by my husband. I guess, you wear this perfume on your special "night". Definitely not in the summer heatwave in the afternoon as it may kill the softness that you after. Similar to other Clive Christian perfumes, you should not judge the smell on the first sniff/minutes. Their perfumes develop as the time goes by for you to enjoy it!

You need to be able to appreciate beauty, delicacy, and nobility—and it isn't difficult to do so. This fragrance is wonderfully composed; it is so elegant, comfortable, and incredibly gentle. Don't expect a powerful, heavy sillage here—that’s not what this is. It features magnificent musk woven into a sheer cashmere veil, with the lightest fresh floral undertone. Pure, blissful delight.

Hearing the name of the fragrance made me instantly blind buy it (crazy i know, but it was insanely worth it). I was worried this scent would be too feminine for a man, but i was completely wrong. This fragrance is more of a silky smooth fragrance that smells like a washed cashmere sweater in a beautiful green garden. I will repurchase this for however long this perfume is produced.

Wow, talk about a sleeper hit. E Cashmere Musk wears its elegance quietly. It starts fresh—bergamot cutting through with a clean, pepper-spiced spark—and then drifts into a truly intimate space. It’s not beast mode. Instead it’s like clean cashmere on skin: musky, refreshing, deeply personal, and beautifully restrained.

Finally added this beauty to my collection — E Cashmere Musk by Clive Christian. It’s like wrapping yourself in a warm cashmere embrace, softly musky, citrusy-fresh, with a whisper of elegance. Royal comfort in a bottle.

This is such a gorgeous, soft, unisex musk. Truly ethereal and definitely not similar to most musks in the market.

Third of my series of Clive Christian reviews this week comes E Cashmere Musk, which conceptually at least would be a tougher sell for me as I do not wear many cashmere or musk fragrances, partly because if I am in the mood to go down that theme, Musc Ravageur is close to untouchable for me. Cashmere Musk is nothing like Musc Ravageur. As usual, I deliberately didn't read up on the reviews before I gave it a proper on skin test as I think the review that comes from that is a bit more really "me". I was expecting something... well... cashmere. And musk. It is, but the opening is a creamy citrus burst with a bit of sweet spice that serves as a platform for what comes next. It is bergamot but a very creamy one, with a dash of nutmeg and some cinnamon. It isnt sharp or edgy. Like an indulgent lime cheesecake but not as sweet or sticky. The musk's relationship with the creamy citrus top is defined by the homogenisation with the cashmeran. Helping blend it together is a soothing comfort blanket of something aldehydey; I want to say Ambroxin maybe, but much more subtly than we are used to. Interestingly, the creamy citrus top stays in for 6-7 hours and the musk doesn't move on the skin, so this is a very linear fragrance with no stunts or dancing but it does perform well. I get very little projection off it despite four sprays on each wrist and four on either side of my neck, so I think this is aimed at being an airy skin scent that is more sensual than erotic. Let's call it a second date fragrance. I think this is most profound difference between this and Musc Ravageur: the latter is an enveloping cashmere sweater that you can sink into that everyone around you can experience, whereas Cashmere Musk is a very personal thing. It is much more intimate, but again, not in a sexy way. I would also contend that Cashmere Musk is a year round wearable fragrance whereas Musc Ravageur is a tough(er) reach in the summer months. Super classy and fantastically well-blended, Cashmere Musk does lean feminine for me and is a bit too subtle for me to want to buy a full bottle for me, but would (and will) readily do so for my partner who loves this and I think would wear it a lot. Layering suggestion: Oddly I think it would go beautifully over a Musc Ravageur base layer as a means of freshening it up. Three Word Summary: Smooth Feminine Allure Scent - 7/10 Sillage - 6/10 Drydown - 6/10 Bottle/packaging - 10/10 Performance - 8/10 37/50

It's a nice and cozy scent. E Cashmere Musk offers a classic feminine soft citrus powdery musk profile, but it fails to bring anything new to the low sillage table. The composition is so seamless that the individual notes get lost, and the performance is surprisingly fleeting bergamot and blood orange —transforming into a mere whisper of jasmine about 10 mins after application. Considering the luxury price tag, the lack of sillage and staying power is hard to justify. You can find much higher-performing bright citrus forward musks at a much more reasonable price point. Update: I keep going back and forth with this one. I don't hate it. I layered it with Tilia by Marc Antoine Barrois and WOW!

The first 30+ minutes it's a citrus vetiver type affair before transitioning to the musk and cashmere. I love musk, but I prefer it to have a bit more horsepower. Very light and minimalistic take. Not a bad release, but it's not lighting my world on fire. And for CC price point, I need to be more impressed and perfume more present, to spring for a bottle. Good perfume that could use a little more character. Good drydown as a second skin scent with average longevity and minimal sillage. I'd be game at $100 because this would make a nice light office second skin type scent. -------------------------------------------------------- Scent 7/10 Performance 5/10

This is a classy, delicate, expensive skin scent. It’s predominantly a musk perfume, with light (and well done) citrus and floral touches. It’s quite pleasant but it’s certainly not a wow fragrance. Personally I couldn’t imagine spending AUD600+ on something like this, but I don’t know, if you want a well executed, low sillage scent maybe you would.

As a novice I'll do my best to describe my overall impressions. This fragrance opens with a slightly juicy blood orange with hints of pink pepper and ginger and then quickly settles into what I perceive to be cashmeran and musc. I find this fragrance to ultimately settle into a beautiful skin scent.

A full wear reveals similarities with Another 13, but with a floral undertone that makes it lean feminine. To me, a molecular type of fragrance that develops over time. Can’t be judged on top notes. Update: Sillage from warm skin is beautiful, and completely unisex.

I love scents that mimic an illusion that you smell clean not perfumey. Nice but not really my type. Better suited for a woman. I don’t know why I held on it for so long. Glad I did a trade with my friend just to get a gem from her.

E opens beautifully with a clean, second-skin scent, featuring subtle spiciness and a hint of cashmeran. However, it transitions into a musky, woody fragrance in the dry-down. That's where it falls apart, just little.

Something else must've been in the tester bottle at Saks, cuz two sprays has lasted 14 hours on my wrist so far. The scent: imagine No. 1 masculine and Creed Spice & Wood metting in the middle

Paper test: an extremely well done musk as someone who doesn’t enjoy it in the front of most fragrances , really clean with something peppery in the back. I’d skin sample this

This smells like Molecule 01 with a bit more citrus. It's pleasant, but it shouldn't be the price they're asking. It's definitely a skin scent for close encounters.

i usually hate these kinds of notes, but this was done very well. very clean and pleasant

I had high expectations for this one but honestly this was a let-down for me. I got a sample of this, It's pretty weak on my skin and I'm not impressed by the scent either. Not sure if it's my skin chemistry or the scent itself. It smells like a very weak version of Encre Noire to my nose

Second-skin scent. Very comforting, non-offensive and pretty good layering scent. However, like many others within its category and imo not worth its higher price considering that all it's smell-a-likes are way lower priced.

Smells like the home perm Rave from the eighties. Purchased at Bergdorf Goodman and salesperson went to back to wrap because I was purchasing as a valentines gift for husband—unfortunately I had chosen Red Tea Vetiver not Cashmere Musk. It was unwrapped today and I noticed the name—husband wore it out and I hoped for the best but no luck. If you like it but don’t want to shell out hundreds try Stella by Tocca.

Beware, this has a sharp smell of glassy texture in it that no one seems to be mentioning. I find it strong enough to detract from everything else in the opening. Like a dry floral stale BO that is highly resistant to scrubbing off. Not the ambroxan. Maybe one of the NINE musks or the cashmeran, IDK. Nothing cozy about this

skin scent, make no mistake. no projection on this one. as far as the smell itself i dont care for it. like 2nd skin on you with peppery and ambrette tones. a major pass

i now have a full bottle of this. it smells gorgeous on 1st spray, the cashmere and musk is beautiful. it kind of maintains that scent throughout the dry-down as well. it’s very elegant and refined. definitely quiet luxury, it doesn’t seek attention and there is nothing loud or excessive about this fragrance. unfortunately, like many people have mentioned, the projection and sillage seems to be weak. i fear most people that get within your vicinity might not even notice that you have a fragrance on, and might just assume you might have simply just showered with soap. this might be a good option for those who have grown tired of the heavy and loud fragrances, and maybe wants a second-skin fragrance, e-cashmere musk might be the best on the market in that category right now.

Creamy, slight powdery. Can't beat the Clive Christian realness, I don't even like musk like that, not really too much into the Cashmere skin scent and this is showing me what I need to see. Opens up balsamic Jasmine bit Citrus, incredibly smooth, tame, gentle accord with the Green Leaves as mid phase kicks in, get the Cashmere and musk pretty much from top to base, warms even more up towards the base with the Guaiac. Second wear after these ten daze, already brings out the mild greenness, peppers and ginger more, this will PH settle in around three weeks from initially hefty sprayed. It's an everyday pick, casual, bit more feminine for sure, really diggin' the Private Collection's pieces construct approach spectrum wise.

This is a light skin scent. To me this perfume is scent version of expensive lingerie. It is a very nice smell, but performance is next to none. No projection, no sillage. This is a scent that is nice for bedtime or after a shower. It lasts on the skin and clothes, but only if you put your nose directly into the spot that the scent was sprayed on. I do not see this on a man at all. To me this is more of a summer and late spring scent. The smell itself is a like, but performance for the price makes this a pass for me.

Smells like clean bubbles and legacy... and nothing else but it’s perfect that way. Cashmere and musk pretty much sums up what this fragrance smells like. It doesn’t smell like soap or laundry, which I like. It’s not groundbreaking or unique but it’s done in an ultra luxurious minimalist way thats also long lasting. Poised everyday comfy musk with a faint sweetness. If you like this, you will enjoy Rosendo Mateu Musk 10, they are not dupes but if you like one you will like the other and quality is on par.

I love the scent profile on this one but the florals are too present for my taste, leans more feminine due to the florals. The cleans musks with that citrus opening is so refreshing and comforting.

really grew on me, at first it was just fancy ambroxan, but now it's really lovely; very squarely unisex though, and I prefer something slightly more feminine

Are Cashmeran and Ambroxan what you expect from Clive Christian? Doesn't sound too convincing.

This is delightful... but literally almost identical to Silver Musk from Nasomatto.

Has the another 13 vibe, but less playful and more reserved. Both high quality.
