Jump Up And Kiss Me Hedonistic (2021)

Monday's Clive Christian review was Matsukita and that one was absolutely incredible. I went into today's review of Jump Up And Kiss Me Hedonistic assuming it wouldn't be as good. Two hours into wearing it, I am delighted to say that is not true. It is gorgeous, but very different. The fruity opening is lush and juicy but not synthetic feeling or especially sweet. I get more of the black cherry and grapefruit than the mandarin or bergamot but they are all blended with characteristic Clive Christian style and the effect is intoxicating. This is the first cherry fragrance I've actually properly enjoyed. Many of the others have a latexy feel that goes in a cough mixture sort of direction but this is silky smooth and incredibly sexy. There is some clary sage and some mate in this that make it addictive off the skin. The heart and base notes are a very finely judged cocktail of complimentary notes that are surprisingly hard to pick out because they are so well folded into each other. It is hard to tell where one begins and another ends. Imagine when you're wordlessly lying naked in a hotel room bed in the dark with someone you love intertwined in your limbs, calming down and listening to each other's breathing return to normal. Your skin is hot and sheened with post-procreative glow, and the way the other person's skin feels as it is pressed gently against yours makes you imagine you can feel their heartbeat through your skin. You are joined with the other person as you lie there, tasting your own sweat and the sweetness of their body on your lips. You can smell the tender musk of their skin and the clean white sheets that are crumpled all around. You close your eyes and the darkness seems to dance in front of your eyelids to the melody of your racing hormones. That is how this fragrance feels. Hedonistic has no oud in it but has the feel of a oud fragrance in that there is a fruity and spicy top and a woody base with an exotic and unfathomably complex feel quite apart from your common garden variety perfume. It feels incredibly hedonistic and the name is very well chosen. If we go back to the hotel room analogy, we imagine this couple had a very hard-to-get restaurant booking but had a bottle of Ruinart whilst getting ready and so never made it out of the room. Both of you want to get up, perhaps drink some water, put on some music and open a curtain just a shade to let in some of the outside world but neither want to move because the soul of the other person feels so close somehow. Layering combination suggestion: Like Matsukita, there is a lot going on here so I don't think this is a good choice for layering. There isn't any aspect that you would want to throw out of balance by adding to it. Partially a blind buy--smelled it a long time ago and couldn't remember anything other than thinking it was nice. This immediately became a favorite in my collection. I've owned about a dozen from Clive Christian; this is the best I've experienced. This is an easy compliment-getter and smells very nice. It's advertised with the "AddictiveArts" technology. That's a snake oil gimmick; don't expect anything beyond an awesome fragrance. It's not exactly life changing as the marketing would suggest. I love cherry fragrances, and this does it very well without veering too far into the car freshener or candle territory, although it does have some nuances of that vibe to me. It's definitely signature-scent worthy in my opinion, and I plan to wear this a lot. I've only worn it in cold weather, and it's had good performance--a full workday with projection probably fading off to about arm's length or less around the 6 hour mark. I expect this to likely improve when my bottle macerates. It's very rich and expensive smelling. I think it's appropriate for office use and even better for nights out. As someone who likes to dress up a little, it fits me very well. I will be interested to see how it is in the heat. I like it so much that I want to enjoy it year-round, but it honestly is a fairly dense scent that I worry may be too heavy in the heat, even in small doses. My wife is pretty jaded on my fragrance collecting at this point, and this is one she actually likes a lot. She's quite picky, so when she gets impressed, I'm thrilled. Bottle-wise, it's fairly basic. Atomizer is high-quality with a nice spray, as it should be at this price point. HOWEVER, the first bottle I received had its atomizer sleeve start to detach as soon as I bought it, completely unacceptable. It was a tester; I returned it and bought a full retail presentation. Good to go now. Lastly, I don't think it really smells like anything directly. The closest thing no one else has said is Desert Suave, but only after DS' has dried down a couple hours. Maybe a distant cousin, but a cousin nonetheless. Worth it? Not full price, but under $300, yes. It's potent juice, so this bottle will last a long time. Blind buy safe if you like cherry, leather, and what all you read here.

HEDONISTIC Julie Pluchet first 2017 > then 2021 in a new bottle, haven’t tried older formulas JUMP UP AND KISS ME HEDONISTIC is absolutely addictive, utterly complex and one of the most praised blends in the market with a reason. It has so many facets in it from the deep and dark fruitiness in the opening, through the sensual and intense floral heart with Tobacco to a rich oriental base. The special individuality of this fragrance is brought by three elements. Skillfully crafted Black Cherry together with Vanilla creates a subtle gourmand character. A dry and smoky tobacco with sweet nuances of maple, caramel, and hints of violet, rose, and whiskey is ingeniously created. The base is enriched with Labdanum which includes opulence of ambery, leathery and smoky facets, gentle balsamic, resinous qualities and soft, delicate side of Vanilla and Tonka. The texture is thick and creamy but not so opulent than the texture of Ecstatic. Both are luxurious, head-turners with extremely high quality and exceptionally skillful blending. Hedonistic’s sibling Ecstatic is not so complex and I don’t find them similar at all. There is Amber and Tonka in the base of Ecstatic but it’s not that kind of “ambery” like you could think when seeing the notes. You can find some other fragrances which are in the same category with Ecstatic, I mean like other options when choosing some creamy white floral but I don't know of any competitors to Hedonistic because it's so unique. Hedonistic ... the power of the darkness. Such an incredible, mysterious and beautiful perfume. It’s a work of art from Julie Pluchet. I guess she didn’t realize at the time of her creation, that she made something very special and magical. The bottle has deep blue color and if you shine your phone torchlight through you will see deep purple color on sides, wow! The perfume opens up strong with red sweet cherry bathed in alcohol/cognac, tea matte with freshness of bergamot , neroli, bergamot and grapefruit. Yes it’s mainly fresh perfume (with touch of sweet), and a fresh perfume what is it ? Yes -a compliment getter and overall best pleasant type of perfume than sweet/gourmand for masses. People love fresh smell. Remember that. Hedonistic follows next with Jasmine, Iris , papyrus and a very faint almost imperceptible sweet tobacco. At base note it has musk smell but unfortunately because of regulation to forbid animalistic musk , we have to use labdanum. I hope we can have real animalistic musk one day. Tonka and vanilla are present. Overall to simply describe it : tea and cherry in alcohol , green plants with flowers, forest after rain, musk. Aphrodisiac vibe of seduction/sexiness. Excellent perfume 10/10 Long lasting up to 24hours or more on clothes, 5-8h on skin with intimate smell after 10-12h. Sillage is moderate-strong, people have to be around 1-3 meters to smell your perfume. It becomes somewhat intimate near the end. It’s old money style. When you are rich and you don’t want to show off how rich you are. This is hedonistic. Silent luxury where it doesn’t screaming off. Perfect for people who wants a beautiful perfume but without making other suffocating. It’s calm as smell. Clive Christian is now french brand !

It has taken me several months of wearing this daily to decide that I really love it, and it's a masterpiece. I had first gotten a sample of the 2017 version and thought it was absolutely enchanting. But I had gone into a department store and sprayed this 2021 version on my wrist, and my experience was as a horrible bubblegum kind of thing that I went right back home and scrubbed off. I did this twice, months apart, but in the same store, with the same result. I don't understand. Was it a wrongly labeled bottle, does it just not work on my wrist? I don't know. Somehow I decided to order a bottle anyway, and I don't regret it. There are so many notes that it is hard to say what it smells like, and hard or impossible to identify all that is on the list. The opening is a very fresh, green, fruity, gourmand explosion. So, bergamot, grapefruit, violet leaf, and whatever else makes it so green. But cherry, I don't get that at all. It turns into a less fruity, but still green kind of thing, with, yeah, tobacco. And the drydown is to me an animalic amber vetiver kind of thing. It is delightful to wake up in the morning and still smell that. I personally find it very enjoyable to wear, just for my own sake. Complex, always interesting. I haven't gotten much from others. My wife thought it was ok, but not her favorite. I've gotten a couple of "oh, is that a new perfume?", but nothing really positive.

Oookay!! I've heard of the Clive Christian brand and never really smelled anything from the brand. I smelled Crab Apple Blossom, and thought it was good but not full bottle worthy. I then smelled Blonde Amber and got a full bottle almost within a week of having a sample. I then smelled Town & Country and it's just the most beautiful fresh candy red scent. Which got me compliments. So being excited to try a new Clive Christian after I've had two wins(Blonde Amber, Town & Country). if those two were wins this was a Flawless Victory!!... YOOOO WTF THIS FRAGRAnce is simply IT! This has taken my king of Date Night Fragrances(Side Effect) to the curb! It's just hard for me to explain this fragrance. So people say it's tooo medicinal which I can see. But they never mentioned the dry down. You really got to smell this for yourself. This is gonna really shine in cold weather. Honestly I don't even like cherry fragrance this has totally changed my mind. This is definitely have the right name!! I know your parents told you to not trust strangers but trust me... This will have you smelling like "Himothy" fellas. Just be dressed up nice haircut and you don't have to go heavy on the sprays either. ENJOY and keep this our secret. I don't want this selling out everywhere.

This is so freakin good. It's been a while since a fragrance impresses me, but this one blew me away. It smells classy, luxurious, and that cherry note makes all the more better. The opening hits with a juicy cherry note mixed with citrus and neroli... super super addictive. Cherry can be tricky to manage (usually too sweet), but I think it's executed perfectly here. The key is to have a perfect supporting cast: citrus, floral, tobacco, and herbal notes. That combo gives it depth/ complexity and a refined vibe. Fun fact: Roja also plays with that tobacco + herbal mix in scents like Manhattan, Isola Blu, 1819, which is why they feel so complex and elegant as well. Back to the fragrance... the dry down is a little less interesting, but still great nonetheless: smooth amber, woods, and vanilla, balanced out with spicy aromatic notes. It's not entirely unique, but it's blended quite smoothly -- no jagged edge or harsh ambroxan here. Performance is solid too: 8-10 hours with moderate projection in the first 2. Best in cooler weather or nights, but with 1-2 sprays it can work in the heat. Overall: classy, sexy, and luxurious. One of the best I’ve smelled in a long time.

Opening is glorious, citrus cherry with a lot of elegance. Cherry here is one of the less chemical or sirupy I ever smelt (hello Carmina). After that a lot is yet to come, white flowers, some semi gourmandish accord involving vanilla, tonka, warm spices and an hint of sweet tobacco. On the dry down we have an earthy amberwood retaining some of the sweetness of the previous developing. It never falls down to anything harsh, or too sweet, there is some nice soft musk here too. It is a really elegant fragrance, smooth, well blended, totally unisex at my nose. I can't consider it an everyday fragrance due to its complexity but it's neither seasonal, probably you can wear this also on summer thanks to the citrus opening and its smoothness, just don't overspray in the hot season. After several wears I must admit that I'm tempted, but the price as every Clive Christian is very high, and even if I like it a lot still don't know if I want to pull the trigger on another fragrance that dries down into amberwood (even if there is much more involved here, like labdanum creating a nice leather-spicy accord).

I don’t get the beast-mode performance that many others seem to experience, which is disappointing. That said, the scent itself is pure sophistication. It feels like being dressed to the nines, sitting at an upscale bar with the perfect Manhattan in hand, completely owning the moment. Confidence is through the roof. The black cherry and leather blend together effortlessly, creating something that feels refined, bold, and undeniably classy. There may be a long list of notes in the official breakdown, and if you really search for them you might pick up on a few, but to my nose this is all about rich black cherry, smooth leather, and a touch of vanilla rounding everything out beautifully. As a scent alone, this is an easy 10/10 and genuinely feels like a masterpiece. Unfortunately, when you factor in the underwhelming performance and steep price tag, my overall rating lands at 8.5/10.

Hedonistic opens with a lovely blast of citrus fruits and almost they are immediately joined by vanilla, amber, labdanam and smoky vetiver. There is a beautiful gourmandish vibe like that of an Indian sweet. Mate tea is present throughout though it's faint. This is a strong fragrance and it lingers on. End notes are faint tobacco, sweet leathery amber & smoke from vetiver. Gourmandish vibe I get is similar slightly to what you get in Liquides Imaginaires Desert Suave. But it's not as massive Dessert Suave. Thats where the comparison ends between these two fragrances. Apart from Desert Sauve the gourmandish vibe of Hedonistic is similar to the superb Salsabeel attar by Al Shareef Oudh, Australia. Salsabeel attar isn't listed here though. Smooth silky pillowy cherry tonka combined with suede/orris makes for a slightly powdery airy effect. Overall impression is a soft spicy amber with a lot of depth. You have a complex amalgamation of woods, green tea, fruit, white florals, Amber, vanilla....theres a lot going on here. It should be said that this is not a cherry forward fragrance, it’s an abstraction of cherry, like a subtle cherry powder impression. Most uninitiated noses will not recognize cherry at all in this mix. This is in the same style as amberwood from the same house but with a lot more complexity. This is my favorite style of perfumery and I absolutely love this one. It’s an amazing ethereal blend that makes you feel like you’re enveloped by something truly special and regal.

this gets sensual, a cherry fragrance, starts dark but it is very sexy. Performance is decent as well but id prefer blonde amber to this and probably the only reason I had to let go of this one as I haven't been wearing it. There is not much resemblance to any other fragrance out there but if it does smell like a cherry cough syrup at the start if you can imagine that it then carries over a while into something more creamy and powdery. This is a mass appeal and will turn heads. This is a very unisex fragrance to me at least and longevity goes at least 8-10 hours. However, this does create a small bubble, doesn't really leave a trail so I can say its not an offensive fragrance whatsoever. Overall if price of fragrance isn't considered, 9/10.

A perfume perfectly in tune with its intoxicating elixir name. Its addictive side is undeniable — those who claim not to like it either haven’t smelled it or are just bitter because they can’t afford it, since this scent is not the kind that evokes hatred. Tobacco, cherry, a creamy hint of leather, and a dark, sweet aura. Some (the so-called know-it-alls) may find it synthetic, but it’s no more synthetic than many of those supposedly “natural” perfumes everyone praises. It’s definitely sexy and seductive, as the trail it leaves behind inspires admiration.

Nothing ive ever smelt before. Opening is very medicinal but smooth think like cherry cough syrup . 10-20 mins later it completely changes into a dry faint cherry with almost like a paper scent. I think its the papyrus. They really nailed the imagery of this think Shakespeare in his wooden room writing on his dry paper books with a cherry tobbacco pipe in the back not smoky but more of the resins after its been smoked lingering nothing dirty or ashy just dryness texture. Really complex and beautiful. 10/10

One of my favorite frags. It is a really addictive scent, it is rich, sophisticated, and mystique. There are truly so many notes that you can't exactly tell what it is. You will feel sweet tonka bean & Orris, amber, and tobacco pipe first, then it becomes fresher - orange, bergamot, jasmine. Long-lasting perfume, Unisex, way overpriced of course, but this is a pricy well-balanced mix so it is what it is. Get a sample to try first - it is a wise thing about any Clive Christian perfume.

I have long been a clive christian hater due to the pricetag but this? THIS? This perfume makes my nose tingle like nothing i have ever felt before. Its so weird to describe and the amount of compliments i have gotten is remarkable. And thats only having a sample. My friend described it as a manly flower shop, like when you go in to a botanical flower store but manly somehow. I am definetly buying a full bottle when i can since i cant get enough of this scent.

Yeah, this is incredible. It's complex and delicious. It's the best example of this sort of fragrance I've smelled. Is it worth the $650 it can sometimes fetch? Nothing is worth that, IMO, but for $325... Yeah, it's better quality than the Tom Fords that go for that price. I think the reason I like this better than the Lost Cherrys or the Grand Soirs of the world is that it is more firmly masculine leaning with the tobacco and leather.

GATDAYUM! I’ve been on the search for the best cherry fragrance and I got 3 samples which were Bodacious by BTV, French Defense by MindGames and CC Hedonistic. There is no competition. This one is just so smooth so velvety and addictive. I just wish it had more projecting power but then again, it’s also intimate, inviting, seductive. I can’t get enough of it. If only it had the staying power of Blonde Amber sigh. 9.5/10

Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it the best parfume I have ever smelled? Also yes. I can't describe how pleasant it is to my nose, absolutely gorgeous cherry-mate-tobacco-tonka note. Super long lasting and sillage is also strong. Super addictive- a crowd pleaser, it is a PERFECT scent for me, I wish it would be a bit cheaper though, I'm not that rich to wear it as my signature, but for occasions, I'm going for this one.

Can't really think of anything it smells like, the closest I can get is it's almost like a mixture of Guerlain lhomme ideal edp mixed with noir extreme but then again that's not fair because the black cherry is much better than the cherry in Ideal and it smells leagues better than both!

Overpriced for sure. But do i love it? Fuck yes i love it. So elegant, it is a clear winner to be top 5 in my collection! It is a sample before you buy anything in this price range for sure. Edit: The world would be a better place if people would wear things like this, instead of basic blue frags. This makes a lasting impression.

Moving on... i like this way more than the much hyped blonde amber and the performance is much more worthy of the high price point than BA too. This is the only cherry fragrance that I like. I get a ton of compliments at work with this! Longevity and projection is amazing! Lasts on clothes for days! I’ve tried so many cherries, and this is the only one I think is masculine leaning. I think still expensive, but worth it after sampling.

This one is easy to wear and gets me compliments. Not groundbreaking, though I got it (at a discount) after first test. I love wearing it, complex and warm on my skin. I smell cherry and tobacco , my fav notes. While a common profile , this one still smells kind of different and I enjoy it

Kinda lo key reminds me of Guerlain L'Ideal EDP. This just smells a fuckton better in every facet you can imagine in your mind. Leather, moss , rock rose might make this lean masculine but can easily be unisex. People might jump up and kiss you because this has tantalizing seductive vibes

Definitely the best Clive Christian. Ofcourse the price point is ridiculous, but the blending and uniqueness in this actually got me thinking it’s worth it. It baffles me how unique it is, but still comes of as a very safe buy. So underrated and i hope it will be that way. 9.7/10 for me

A person saying in bottom comments it smells like tyre shops either get their nose checked or they might have got fake bottle, this fragrance is one of the best all year around fragrance i have come accros in recent time,this and Matsukita are my favourite from the line 10/10

I have a tester of this. This is a masterpiece. This is actually so addictive I can’t stop smelling it. Idk about The longevity and the projection. I’m still testing it. The smell is phenomenal. I WILL get a full bottle. And this is worth the money.

What can I say... it’s the best fragrance I’ve ever had. In any angle. Quality, longevity, projection, and off-course smell for itself. Amazing. Price is also amazing 😁 but you pay for everything above.

Update: it’s pretty strong right now it’s been 7 hours and it projectes really well and the longevity is amazing I really need to have this and I will definitely be in my collection soon.

Just received a full bottle today. Before buying it I have tested it in perfume shop and was impressed. I was looking for a "signature scent for a long time. Looks like I have found it.

Turns out, I have a sample of the other one. I don't know if they're similar or if the bottle was changed and perhaps the longevity/concentration. But I hope to try this one soon.

Wow. There once was a scent loud as can be; Jump Up And Kiss Me Hedonistic, you see. With black cherry, jasmine and spice; That's all I got for now because this shart is nice.

This is the one. Pure olfactory euphoria. Just get a sample and see for yourself, it's honestly incredible. If this was beast mode, I would almost say it's worth the price.

What an art!!! A real addictive art in a bottle. Warm amber, leather and cherry tobacco with clary sage dancing in the back to give it a little aromatic touch, YUM.

Really love the cherry and melange of ingredients put in this but I’m not sure the price justifies it. In any case, it’s really lovely and masculine.

Ambery, woody, lightly sweetened, to me its very similar to blonde amber with the patchouli toned down a bit. Perfect!
