Lilac In Glass

This is such gorgeous, ethereal fragrance! It’s kind of a watery lilac, powdery violets with a little greenness from the fig leaves. And the cedar, cypress, and sandalwood in the background give it a little depth and dimension that just a plain lilac scent. It makes me think of the sun sparkling off water, you smell the green fig leaves and lilac blossoms in the breeze.

Unexpectedly beautiful. Florals are hard to do well without feeling very derivative or overly ...... generational ;) This is like a cool garden, fresh crushed leaves, a little woody and a little fruity. It’s bright without being harsh, gently, naturally floral, and just the right amount green. I like this a LOT more than I would have expected to. Longevity: Nice complex mix of greens, floral, woody for about 1-2 hours, then a very gentle, simpler but very nice lilac skin scent for about 5-6 hours.

Lilac in Glass opens up with refreshing green notes from crushed fig leaves. The green notes here are fresh and not overpowering. If you tend to shy away from anything green, worry not, this is a smooth, refreshing green note I think everyone would enjoy. As it starts to settle, the green notes fade about 1-2 minutes in and fig comes to the foreground (at least on my skin). After close to 10 minutes, lilac and fig become the stars of the show. The two are blended extremely well, but my skin pulls the fig note a tad bit more (it’s about 60% fig, 40% floral for me). As it gets to the deep dry down stage after 30-40 minutes or so, sandalwood rounds out the scent and gives it a bit of warmth. At the deep dry down, I am getting a bit more lilac. This fragrance sits close to skin, as I tend to use 6 sprays. The longevity is about 4 hours of soft projection after 4 hours, it became a skin scent for me but I can still detect it after 8 hours if I put my nose to where I sprayed. I adore fig fragrances and lilac fragrances but I don’t tend to wear either very much because fig fragrances are either too strong (too much fig) or too sweet for my liking; whereas lilac fragrances are usually too sharp and a bit indolic to my nose. Lilac in Glass has just the right amount of fig and lilac for me and it makes me feel elegant and youthful at the same time! I think this is an excellent warm/hot weather staple for me.
