Coach Dreams Moonlight

I just bought a little mini of this at Ross for $9 and it has low-key blown me away! These are very much first impressions but CD Moonlight strikes me as quite a unique scent; I've never smelled quite the same combo of jasmine + patchouli -- two notes I love -- like in this one. In trying to orient myself to this -- and I guess I date myself with these two scents! -- it smells to me like the original 2011 Jimmy Choo -- a super sweet, patchouli scent -- has procreated with Mugler's Alien (1992 -- or Zara dupe Splendid Bronze). In Moonlight, I get the earthiness of the patchouli with the almost minty-sweet, fresh, heady jasmine. There's also tonka note here that shows up as an overall, underlying warmth. Ultimately, I like this so much that I immediately jumped on Mercari and bought an inexpensive mostly full bottle of this stuff. This stuff is REALLY good!!! Incidentally, once I tried a sample of V&R Good Fortune and, while I liked it, it was somehow lacking in something, but I can't remember what... I'll have to try it again to compare. And, I DID really like Flowerbomb Nectar (I think it's being discontinued...?) when I smelled it at a perfume counter, but just couldn't allow myself to get attached to a perfume that's on its way out that I'd have to chase down for big bucks... ------------------------------------------------- Edit: After wearing a few times, I realized that Dreams Moonlight also reminds me of Fine'ry Midnight Cafe (a dupe of YSL Black Opium) except that in Midnight Cafe/Black Opium get the earthiness from the coffee note instead of the patchouli like in Moonlight. But they are definitely similar scents in that they're a heady, sweet jasmine combined with an earthy note (patch or coffee). I'm fond of all of these!

I really like this one. I started with a dabber for $8.99 at Marshalls in July, and when I finished it I got a full bottle 3oz tester from fragrancenet (October). It sprays from the floral lid which is kind of cute. The bottle is dull to me. I was swayed by the review that says patchouli and tonka bomb. I love those two notes. I get the sweetness but it is in no way overly sweet. A little linear in that it does not evolve from the opening. Unique to my stash due to the patchouli - bergamot combo. Makes it distinctive as a floral. I get the jasmine, maybe not the rose listed here.

So sexy and addictive. The dry down is amazing. Reminds me so much of Alien by Mugler, but with some quick citrus at the top and a creamy, powdery dry down. Has a darkness to it that kind of reminds me of Twilight vampires. I’m surprised it’s not more reviewed because it’s a special scent. I did about 16 sprays on my Jacket a week and a half ago and I can still smell it on the jacket. Great performance with moderate projection once it’s settled.

Love at first sniff. It is so dreamy and gentle as if moonlight indeed. I feel a ghost of wild strawberries. A berry top not bergamot. And it is sweet. Very sweet but cute not overwhelming. Sheer. Must be how jasmine is blended with tonka beans. But I would never guess the ingredients. So modern and pleasant. I already placed my order at a retailer. It reminds me of Moonlight by Ariana Grande but better and more expensive smelling.

This one has QUICKLY become a major favorite of mine, but I’m also a big fan of V&R Good Fortune (which is super similar to this one, in my nose’s opinion). Coach Moonlight is significantly softer/less harsh than Good Fortune. The fragrance notes blend together so so beautifully. I don’t feel like any one scent overly tries to steal the show. This is a top five favorite for sure
