Coach for Men Eau de Parfum

Found this for such a cheap price (26,57€ for 60ml) that i just had to get it to accompany the original edt and Platinum that i already have. Just received it and trying it for the first time now so this is just a quick first impression. I'll try to remember to update the review later after few wearings. First of all it has the Coach DNA that is easy to spot, if you like their other fragrances you will surely enjoy this one too. I agree with people saying it's a bit similar but sweeter and darker than the original EDT and also with it being similar to Sauvage Elixir but softer, less spicy and more wearable. Very well balanced, smooth and likeable. A true EDP version of the original at least scent wise. Would i pay the retail price, propably not. Would i pay double the price that i paid for it, yes. An absolute steal for the price i paid. PS. Longetivity is not great but not bad either, maybe a bit better than the original edt but not much.

This new Coach for Men EDP doesn’t resemble BDC at all, to me this sits somewhere between Sauvage Elixir and Absolu Aventus. It’s an awesome release in my opinion but ultimately pretty redundant for me since I have others in this style. This has more versatility and could totally be a daily driver since I find it fresher and not nearly as heavy or resinous as the Dior, but it lasts a good 5-6 hours on skin and into the next day on clothes. I must mention that it sits pretty close to the skin with minimal sillage but that could be good for some. The overall quality just feels like a step up and smells high end to me. This is hands down the best Coach fragrance release so far in this line and I could not stop sniffing myself. Even the bottle has an extra touch of classiness with the solid black finish. Very well done and definitely worth checking out!

Enjoy the cardamom pop. It comes off as spicy and sweet, with a little citrus coming from the bergamot; it's neat. There's definitely some similarities with Lattafa Asad in late open to middle notes, which is known as a Dior Sauvage dupe. It slips nicely into cedarwood and soft floral (geranium). The leather and vetiver provide for a masculine musk base, but the big difference is the Asad is spicier, whereas Coach EDP is smoother and creamier (almost more refined). Where Asad is louder, Coach EDP is more subtle. Think club vs coffee date. Neither are 1:1 to Dior Sauvage Elixir, but both are excellent and worth wearing.

Very good cold month scent. Slightly citrusy and spicy which morphs into a spicy, woody, leathery profile after 3-4 hours. Lasts a long time as well, I can smell it on clothes after 2 days since applying it. I don't think the price is worth it but I expect it to drop in the coming months. It layers really well with other scents as a base; other blue/citrusy scents can sit right on top and help add some nice complexity and richness to this fragrance.

A very masculine fragrance with a citrus opening and after a minute of dry down. It turns A very masculine version of YSL Myself EDP in the opening? The aromatic smell is almost the same as YSL Y EDP. When it dries down it smells like a Dior Sauvage Elixir vibe. A very good scent profile and can compete with the trinity of blue fragrances. If you love cardamom note accord, you will legit fall in love with this fragrance.

This one starts out smelling like a more versatile sauvage elixir that you can wear about anywhere if you like the sauvage elixir dna this scratches the itch but coach edp comes off as clean and fresh the longevity is about 6-8 hours after 6 hours it becomes close to the skin the sillage is average projection is about 3-4 ft overall i’d recommend buying this once the price drops but imho i think this fragrance is a 8/10

I'm not sure how people are getting similarities between this and savauge but I don't see it whatsoever. The opening in this fragrance is honestly really nice threw me off on how good it was. Dry down is, well pretty good. However not as good as the opening but a good frag for most of the year and occasions, wouldn't reccomend it much for summer might be a little too heavy when the temp is over 27 degrees.

This is a softer (muted and watered down) version of Sauvage Elixir. Smells closest to SE. Longetivity 7-8 hours but skin scent already by 2-3 hours. Suitable all day anywhere, just Abit too close to SE but dialed down the nutmeg, cinnamon and alot more dialed down on the licorice. Still not too bad. Should have been more creative than copying since Platinum is a sweetish pineapple Sauvage too.

“Reminds me of” does not mean clone of, lol. It’s no doubt what this fragrance is inspired by. It’s definitely a fresher, more versatile take on the DNA, but if it walks like Sauvage Elixir, and quacks like Sauvage Elixir, then it’s definitely made in the likeness of Sauvage Elixir. Ain’t the powerhouse of the original, but for the price and quality, it’s a great purchase. Love it.

I love it. True flanker to the line. All the listed notes you can pick up. Great for spring and fall weather, but can be work day or evening out. Very versatile scent in that sense. Reminds the original so if you like that scent then you are going to like this a bit mature and slightly darker take on the original. Maybe it is the Sauvage Elixir flavor mixed to the original.

This is my personal favorite from the Coach line, and it's quite similar to Sauvage Elixir, but it's less intense and more subtle. Overall, this is a great alternative to Sauvage Elixir, not necessarily a replacement or a substitute, but an alternative if you're looking for a similar vibe to Sauvage Elixir.

Smells like the Haribo gummy colas. Little bit sweet, spicy, mass appealing, and still fresher them some of the darker scents people have put in the "smells like" section. To my nose I can't really say it reminds me of anything. But it's also not unique.

My wife favorite cologne in my collection. Its like a Creed Absolute with savage take but done right. I had her pick from this and Prada Luna black, and she picked coach. Great blind buy. Just try not to pay retail price .

This is, without a doubt, 110% Varvetos Vintage. It even SMELLS better than Vintage. It’s strong, VERY strong. Projects for 2+ hours heavy sillage. Blew me away. Highly recommend. Better than SWY Parfum 🔥

Very versatile yet not too simple. Easier to wear than sauvage elixir more soapy like less projecting. If sauvage is for sb 40+ then coach edp is for sb 30+

Very solid. Good for any season and time of day. Has Coach dna but a little more improved. Very enjoyable. This lasts me all day at my 9-5.

First day I wore it I got a compliment, it's a unique fragrance that pulls attention any day of the year

Sophisticated, mature, leathery fragrance. Perfect for the office in my opinion and an easy wear.

I have to give this fragrance credits for being very masculine. Not like ysl myself kind of crap.

A scent reminiscent of sauvage: lavender, black pepper, geranium, ambroxan. Performs well.

I tried this at my local Dillard's the other day. When they handed my the sample I immediately went, "woah, that's piney," like I remember the wood in a fresh bottle of Dior Sauvage Elixir smelling like a few years ago. Then within ten seconds, I said "wait, does this smell like Aventus Absolu?" I then grabbed the tester for Aventus Absolu and was and said "this is Aventus Absolute without the fruits and sweetness." The Dillard's rep was surprised and agreed. I tried it on skin and a fresh paper and went home. It isn't Sauvage Elixir, it isn't Aventus Absolu, but it does have similar spicy/woody facets. When I looked at Fragrantica to see what others were claiming it smelled similar to, I was SHOCKED to see Bleu de Chanel Parfum and Sauvage EDP. What? I tried SO hard to find a resemblance and I actually did, but not really. I just realized that I could gaslight myself into detecting what someone else could confuse themselves into thinking they smell depending on the right skin chemistry (freshness and Bleu de Chanel grapefruit that doesn't smell like grapefruit because it's actually bergamot). What my paper dried down into surprised me again, because it smells like a higher quality Blue Cedar and Cypress by Cremo. For me, that is huge, because I actually love that very specific Cremo fragrance, I love Sauvage Elixir, and I would already own Aventus Absolu if it came in a (much) larger bottle. For $120 at retail, and the possibility of being closer to $50-$60 at discounters down the line, this is probably going to become a cheapie hype beast. I know for my purposes, I will probably be purchasing this for my brother who shares my love for both Blue Cedar and Cypress as well as Sauvage Elixir. This isn't sweet, and it is bluer than the Sauvage Elixir/Aventus Absolu, and it is worth noting that the performance is decidedly moderate. The longevity is good, but the projection is super meh. It is the smoothest and highest quality feeling Coach fragrance thus far, at least in my opinion. It is also worth noting that this is an all year round fragrance. Warm enough to be worn in the cold and dry enough to be worn in the heat.

Coach for Men Eau de Parfum (EDP) is a fruity, woody, and aromatic fragrance. It has a sweet and spicy fruity opening. This initial phase has some resemblance to the original Eau de Toilette (EDT) fragrance, but is sweeter. Minutes later, a slightly metallic and green accord can be appreciated, possibly originating from the geranium note. Although the leather note is not the main focus of this fragrance, it is noticeable and accompanies it in the drydown phase. The main accords are fruity, spicy, and aromatic. This fragrance could be worn during the fall and winter seasons, as well as in spring, avoiding extreme heat due to its sweeter notes than the EDT version. It could also be worn for office work, casual outings, among other occasions. Its longevity on me was 7 hours. Approximately, with a medium to low sillage, perceived at about 40 cm from the wearer. It doesn't stay close to the skin, but you have to be relatively close to the person wearing the fragrance. Its aroma is rich; I liked it, not more than the EDT version, but I think it's a good addition to the Coach for Men line.

This one’s interesting, has that typical manly cologne feel that your dad would wear but there’s a type of blue twist inside of here, hence the sauvage elixir comparisons. I’m trying it again after a few times and I really didn’t enjoy it at first but I think I’m liking it a bit more now. I tend not to like the huge masculine blast type colognes this feels a tad overdone but I think the slight sweetness saves it overall. I think if I wore more than a spray or two of this I’d be rocking a headache all day. Good if you like attention grabbing, in your face type of fragrances. I enjoy those but more on the Mont blanc explorer side of things, with a lighter type of feel (also for the comparisons this smells NOTHING close to explorer!). This is a very dark, almost mossy type of cologne. It’s not bad smelling at all but i think it’s very strong and aggressive, in a less than good way. 6/10. Hopefully I can trade this off

After trying Coach edp on skin at first sniff it did not smell like Sauvage elixir, but within 30 seconds or so very similar. As far as smelling similar to BDC parfum to my nose no resemblance. However, In the dry down this smells practically just like Coach platinum but with a little bit of sweetness to it. At any rate, this latest Coach release is the most refined and is very mature leaning. It exudes class and modernity. This is the perfect iteration for the distinguished gentleman or not. Most definitely no unisex here. Winter, fall, and spring appropriate no summer unless in a climate controlled environment. Overall, this is a very impressive fragrance although not too unique, but it without a doubt fits the bill.

This is an easy, everyday fragrance for any season. I like the opening especially. It starts a bit sweet, clean, with a fresh yet familiar masculine scent. Then it settles into soft leathery wood, mixed with more sophisticated floral notes of geranium. The vetiver drydown is where the comparisons to Dior Sauvage do hold some weight—although here i find it more akin to the EDP, and nothing like the Elixir. It’s less peppery and spicy than any Sauvage but the longer drydown does very much call to it, in a softer and cleaner, less dark and dirty kind of way. It’s well balanced, smooth, and likable. It’s nothing particularly new-smelling and the longevity and Sillage are average. 4/5

Smells like a barbershop-ish BleuDeChanelSauvage type of scent. Not a one for one to those mentioned but definitely in that fashion. The leather note is blended in the base like in Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDT. Its not a leather scent. Lasts and performs moderately. Citruses, spices, woods, what's not to like? My wife took a sniff, and she approved, as I assume the masses will as well. I like this one, 8/10 for now. It's nothing groundbreaking, but if you enjoy the EDT/Flankers, you will find this a nice addition to the line. I would mostly wear this to work and the gym.

This is a mid everyday wear fragrance for any season. I like the opening a lot, the drydown is average. The combo of geranium oil and saffiano leather reminds me of vetiver. I sprayed this and another vetiver dry down I have, adg EDP, and the drydowns had similarities with the vetiver, if you imagine removing the mandarin from adg. So I think it's a very dry woodsy leathery type finish. It doesn't smell like regular leather we get in fragrances, it kind of smells like dry vetiver/slight leather to me. 6.5/10

I like it. I think it's interesting. I knew nothing about it going into it. The opening had me excited because it immediately brought to mind Oud for Greatness but this is not Oud for Greatness. There's no oud or saffron but it gave me the impression of it. Only recently I've learned what geranium smells like, Prada Paradigme, and this fragrance has made clear the recognition of that note for me. The fragrance leans dark, warm and spicy, but not too heavy or dramatic. It's intriguing.

The comparisons with Sauvage Elixir are understandable, particularly in the opening here but I find that this is it's own thing (at least to me, obviously I haven't smelled everything out there!). Anyone who likes the smell of cedar wood will surely appreciate the dry-down here, it gives the fragrance an elegance, somewhat akin to an expensive soap or shaving/grooming products. I've never been too interested in Coach fragrances but this is a nice one.

Very Gourmand. I do enjoy this scent and I am not sure if I am just going nose bind or if fades into existence in 5 hours. It is sweet and masculine. My wife is not a fan which is always a contributor. Coach EDT doesn't last on me either. Maybe it's my skin chemistry? Either way it's nice. I won't buy it again. Most likely I will give this one to a family member. Smell 7/10 projection 8/10 Longevity 6/10?

Since I received a sample of this fragrance and I had already bought Bleu de Chanel Parfum, I decided to see how similar the two are. I can kinda see the similarity but I’d say it’s closer to Dior Sauvage than Bleu de Chanel parfum, although it’s still pretty similar. It’s a slightly more masculine and more pungent Bleu de Chanel parfum, and it lacks that creamy note that BDC has.

After blind buying i'm actually pretty impressed, and i'd honestly say its the best coach fragrance out of the for men line tbh. Also not sure why but when it dries down on my skin it kinda reminds me of initio side effect a little, might be just me but yea. Overall pretty nice scent it actually last unlike the others but i enjoy this so far i give this a 8/10.

If Drakkar Noir came out in 2026 this is what it would smell like. Actually prefer the EDT over this but definitely prefer this over Sauvage Elixir. Not my cup of tea personally but I can see this pulling huge compliments. If you find Sauvage Elixir too screechy you would like this, and $35 for a 30ml you really cannot go wrong.

Yeah I kind of changed my mind on this one. My main issue with it at first was that it smelled like a spicier fresher burberry brit for men, which to be clear, I really hate that fragrance. Now I've had this for a while and I have to say, on skin it's a lot better in terms of scent and performance. I'll probably keep it around.

I like it. Comes off as warm and a bit piney to me. Spicy barbershop vibes. Feels more masculine and traditional than the rest of the line. If you're only into sweet fragrances, definitely test before buying. I'm guessing older guys will appreciate this one more often than younger guys.

It’s a darker freshie with very strong emphasis on the cardamom and woods. Nothing original by any means, but very solid. I think when you can get this for like $40, it will be a banger that you can wear year-round as a daily driver. Kind of smells like a woodland themed shower gel.

I get touches of Sauvage Parfum with a sprinkle of Sauvage Elixir combined with Abercrombie & Fitch Authentic Night. It's pretty good, worth picking up the 40ml for cheap if you're a collector. Feels a little more late afternoon into the evening style of scent.

Not Sauvage or Sauvage Elixir. People who write this shit never smelled Elixir. This is Varvatos - Vintage and Coach for Men/Jimmy Choo Man Intense. It’s a modernized old school scent. Signature worthy if you’re into mature-ish stuff. Performs good.

Doesn't smell anything like Sauvage Elixir imo. To me, It's very similar to Jimmy Choo Man Intense. I do prefer this over JCMI though, just because of the dry down. Is it a linear fragrance? I think so. 6.3/10

Smelt it today. Spicy dark coach dna, kinda basic but extremely sexy, especially for a night out. Longevity is decent, presentation is fantastic. Once it hits discounters for less than 50 it’ll be a banger

A dark suit appropriate scent. Great to layer with or as a stand alone. Very woody with a more mild leather scent. It's your typical modern gentleman's clean scent. Always a nice addition to a collection.

barbershop aromatic woody spicy masculine scent, the woody scent in this remind me of bleu de chanel woodyness. quite versatile imo, projection is moderate, very underrated fragrance.

Very nice fragrance but it’s pretty much just a more mature spicier bleu de Chanel. Actually smells a lot like the new bdc exclusive but I’m sure you can find this for a bargain.

Very pleasant fragrance. Similarities to Absolute Aventus and Suavage Elixir, but nowhere near the quality of those, but at a fraction of the price that’s to be expected.

On my skin after full dry down this turns into BDC/Sauvage blend. A shame the opening is really nice and I thought it would go in different direction.

Sometimes I just want a basic designer fragrance to put on, and when I do I go for this a lot. I wish it had more cardamom but it's fine. I like it.
