Coach Love Eau de Parfum

I really wanted to love this one. I think the bottle is absolutely adorable, and I love strawberry-flavored foods and my skin tends to react nicely with rose-based fragrances. And I was pleasantly surprised today because YAY!! I DO love it!!! I tested this on my wrist this morning, and it took a few minutes to really warm up but once it did--oh my gosh. This is exactly what I hoped it would be. It's sweet, refreshing, strawberry-rose jammy perfection. Very playful and unserious, in the best way. The 'fruit snack' comments are very accurate, imo. But in the best way. I get why they named this perfume 'Love'. It isn't a deep, sensual, overwhelming kind of love. It's a cute kind of love--like holding hands, nose kisses, silly love poems, eating ice cream on a boardwalk together, giggles, warm fuzzies. The side of love that's innocent and sweet and happy. I get why some other reviewers think it's too simple, but for me it's not a problem here. It isn't a deep fragrance for sure, but for a spring-summer scent, I think simple and light is fine--and this is coming from someone who normally only likes perfumes that evolve distinctly from top to heart to base. But in Coach Love, I think the strawberry, rose, and cedar perfectly balance each other out. There's a difference between cheap and simple. This is simple, but doesn't smell cheap. In 2020 I blind-bought way too many cheap celebrity perfumes and so... yeah I know what cheap smells like, haha. But these notes smell high-quality to me. How I would describe the vibe of this fragrance: this brings to mind a person who is young-at-heart regardless of age. Someone who probably loves nostalgia from their childhood, and picnics in the summertime, and who stops to pet all the dogs on a walk. A cheerful and easy-going person. Someone who has a sweet tooth and isn't afraid to indulge it. Someone who doesn't take life too seriously. Of all the summer fragrances I've looked at, I think this has to be the winner for me-- and I need to buy myself a bottle ASAP so I can keep living in this lovely sweet strawberry cloud! <3

I'm doing a full wear of this fragrance for the first time today and wow, I like this far more than I thought I would! It's strawberry lip gloss through and through, in the most gratifying way. It's sweet, but not overly so, and has far more body to it than I expected. It's sunny and playful, youthful but not entirely juvenile. Someone who doesn't love fruity fragrances might say this is evocative of something that would typically be found at Bath and Body Works (not that there's anything wrong with good ol' B&BW), but I find the strawberry in Coach Love a bit more elevated than something found in a body spray. It's richer, less fleeting, higher quality. I bought this because I enjoy lighthearted, fruity scents when summer rolls around. But it's a cold winter's day right now and I'm surprised by how much this holds its own in these frigid temperatures. It's an uplifting slice of cheer on an otherwise cold & dreary Monday. This is marketed at people who are at least 20 years my junior, and that's probably who it will appeal to most. But if you, like me, think smelling like a strawberry hard candy has no age limit, then you'll love this. Projection is moderate, and it lasts for many hours on clothes, which is how I wear most of my fragrances these days. My one criticism is that the sprayer leaves something to be desired. I don't know whether mine is flawed or if they're all like this, but it's stiff and takes some effort to press down on the pump. Combined with the awkward size & shape of the 3 oz. bottle, it's a struggle to spray. I'll suffer through it though, if it means I get to smell like a fruit roll-up.

For me, Coach Love is very very sweet. It smells overpowerinly like candied strawberry and heavy rose. So far I get no hint of woody or earthy. It's been 2 hours and I'm still waiting for it to soften. I don't mind a bit of sweet in the beginning but at the moment it hasn't diminished and is far exceeding "a bit" of sweet. Maybe it needs time to sit in my cupboard and let those woody/earthy tones make their presence known and take over the suffocating candied note. I will revisit this at a later date but at the moment, not a fan. The sprayer is like a turn lock on a handbag. But is difficult to work. You have to get it in just the right spot for it to work and after a few sprays it moves so you have to adjust it again. Cute idea in theory but not so much in practice. Update: I gave this a second go. I have to admit I am not a fan, AT FIRST spray, but after the dry down (about 2.5 hours on me) that sickly candied strawberry sweetness and heavy rose softens and turns out quite pleasant. I find I really kind of like it. I wouldn't go heavy handed with spraying though. Lessons: Never judge a perfume on first spray, give it a couple times before really deciding Always spray it on your skin before deciding to buy Buy a decant or travel size first or find a small size on sale.

Very pretty, girly, flirty scent! I love the gorgeous bottle and the love charm, I was so excited for this release as my favourite notes are strawberry and rose, everything about the bottle and name was right up my alley! I smelt in on a card and definitely wasn’t blown away but I used a whole sample, wore it all day and decided I wanted a full bottle because it’s very hot wear I live and this is such a soft and clean uplifting scent! It definitely smells soapy on paper but on skin I get pure strawberry! The rose kind of softens it and stops it from being too sharp and sour, In my opinion (I have all 3 fragrances) this doesn’t smell like Kayali Eden apple, Burberry her or Kate spade. It’s not as citrusy and spicy as Kate spade which I think is the one most people are relating it to, before I smelt love I expected it to smell like Kate spade but the closest match is surprisingly Eden apple! They’re not exactly alike they just share the same juicy,soft,clean and sugary scent profile, I do like this fragrance I got a compliment my first time wearing this which I was pleasantly surprised by! I think it does Stand out well enough in my collection as well. I’m glad I got it, this is perfect for a Valentine’s Day date like going to the park or picking strawberries 🍓

I know I have this listed as my signature, but to be honest I rotate my sigs. With that being said, this perfume is by far the most flexible I have in my collection. It's simple on its own, with a nice fresh strawberry sent. It's not too artificial or too too juvenile (although it is certainly on the younger side) What makes this one of my favorites is how layerable it is. I love pairing it with a vanilla/gourmand scent for a strawberry shortcake kind of moment, but my FAVORITE perfume to layer it with is Billie by Billie Eilish. It kind of gives a strawberry red velvet cake kind of fantasy that I live for, and makes the perfume last EVEN longer. My other recs for a supplemental perfume with it are Burberry Goddess Intense (make sure it's the intense!) or Philosophy Warm Cashmere. But any gourmand body mist or perfume should suffice. I recommend for those earlier in their journey with perfume!
