With regards to Coach Platinum, I think it's a fantastic perfume. It indeed shares the same core as Sauvage EdT, minus metallic, aldehydic and bitter citrus aspect, plus newly added vanillic, creamy sandalwood aspects and increased apple/pineapple. I understand both sides who are agreeing or disagreeing with Sauvage comparisons, in practice they do smell quite differently to my nose, but in technical reality, they do share more than a coincidental amount of common materials in their formulas. Amounts play a big role too, of course, so while there are factual similarities, I think Coach Platinum cannot be deemed as a clone but perhaps a remix, also a rendition of its original, with a nice addition of sandalwood to my nose. Also, no one seems to point out the salicylic, mineral aspect that is the most prominent lasting effect on skin. Salicylic as in, leftover aftershave lotion or leftover sunscreen note. It's there end to end. I do not think it's a super sweet vanilla bomb either though it's evidently there, I perceive it as a rather a smooth creamy sandalwood built under Sauvage-esque profile. For its heavily discounted price point, the scent is a good one to check. For those who have dozens, hundreds of perfumes, this would smell generic at a glance. My honest opinion is that the fact that sandalwood is so well placed under the fruity aromatic note, it renders it different enough from majority to my nose.

It smells a bit synthetic when you first get it. Not terribly but still. Let it macerate (few weeks) and it will smooth out. This is a very sweet frag. Pineapple and vanilla bomb. You def get some black pepper which helps in the masculinity department. I really don't get any florals at all. Although within the first hour there is a tinge of green bitterness that smells like celery which I absolutely despise. So go easy on it at first. This is a very strong projector. As it settles down it heats up and starts to radiate off your skin. It is highly sweet, it is slightly powdery. Yet when it starts to dry down it smooths out with the cashmeran, leather, sandalwood, and the patchouli. The dry down is so smooth, sensual (still sweet but lightens up a bit, some pineapple remains but mostly vanilla besides the base notes I mentioned). I know there are a lot of vanilla based mens frags, esp with high end designers. I find them overpriced and redundant. This frag fits that bill at for a budgeted price. I find this to be most suitable for fall and winter, although spring works. You can wear it to the office but go easy with the sprays. Though I find this to be more of a date night type of frag. You can wear to the club to if thats what you are looking for bc of how sweet it is. Its all dependent on the number of sprays imo.

This is a very nice fragrance. Its fresh, aromatic and mass appealing. It opens with a nice, bright pineapple with a hint of spice from the black pepper and an interesting lift from the juniper berries. The juniper seems to add a little something to the freshness that tones back the pineapple in a way that doesn't take away from its fruitiness but doesn't make it as loud as it could have been which is very nice. The cashmeran, sage and geranium bring a nice aromatic nature that compliments the bright opening but doesn't diminish it. Once this opens more, you get a very nice blend from the vanilla, leather, sandalwood and patchouli that brings everything together. I don't see the comparisons but I get a very similar experience to Coach Green, except with green you get a nice kiwi note off the top. The drydown on both has some similar characteristics to Sauvage but more of a nod to it than what I see a lot of people saying about it. It's not an "OMG this is so much like Sauvage bro" type experience, but like a slight appreciation of it in the composition. Like I said, it's a very pleasant, mass appealing scent that has versatility. Off my skin, I don't get big projection or sillage and performance its crazy. I get somewhere in the range of 6-8 hours of longevity, which is great. Worthy pick up and worth a try.

While Coach Platinum by Coach isn't a groundbreaking or amazing fragrance --- it certainly is quite nice. Especially for being a second tier designer blue/shower gel fragrance. As others have stated Platinum is a hybrid of Dior Sauvage (EDT), Prada Luna Rossa Carbon, and Mont Blanc Explorer. However, more so Prada Luna Rossa Carbon with a twist of Mont Blanc Explorer. The main differences that Platinum has are its creamy, silky, vanillic, woody, leathery attributes which makes Platinum much smoother and "natural" smelling than Dior Sauvage (EDT), Prada Luna Rossa Carbon, and Mont Blanc Explorer. Coach Platinum by Coach may be a redundant fragrance for many people. However, it would be an excellent choice for newer noses and/or people that don't own any of the aforementioned fragrances - due to Platinum's improved rendition of the overused/popular mass-appealing, blue/shower gel masculine scent profile. Coach did an excellent job at giving Platinum a higher quality scent composition and smell. As Platinum doesn't smell like hastily composed, cheap smelling flanker. Platinum is a workhorse and most people will easily yield 12+ hours. 👍 Platinum is a very safe blind buy especially for discounted prices. I would recommend getting a tester bottle for added value! I tend to like unique stuff, like a lot, the only problem with that is my collection. Didn’t really have anything low-key in it. I needed something I could throw on that works for anything and is subtle, I smelt this at the mall and I really liked it! And honestly, I don’t know how you couldn’t like it. It’s just so easy to like, I immediately looked it up on joamashop and good Lord was I excited to see how good the deal was on there, for something I was considering paying 130 for, seeing the tester bottle listed on there for only $36 with pure excitement, I immediately bought it, to be honest I’m not 100% sure why people are comparing it to Sauvage so much, it does kind of give off the same mass appealing vibe but the sense really aren’t that similar at all and I know that because I cannot stand Sauvage and I really like this, it’s just a really good easy to wear fragrance it’s appealing, but not so generic to where it has that basic cologne smell, it definitely has personality! The pineapple note changes into more of a really fresh lemon on my skin and I honestly think that’s perfect, it’s sweet, but not too sweet, I would definitely say for how cheap this goes for on discount sites it’s an absolute no-brainer, and as a plus, the bottle is like really cool!

Not-too-loud blue frag that smells like vanilla + Sauvage EdT This is actually surprisingly complex for the price point. I can definitely pick out each note on the note break down. It opens fruity that very much reminds me of Sauvage EdT. The pineapple here is beautiful The ambroxan is here but it's not nuclear. It dries down to a vanilla-leathery-blue which is still versatile but gives it more density making it slightly lean towards cooler or climate-controlled environments than beaches and summer middays but with controlled spraying this will do it's job very well. I know that the DNA is not the same but this frag's use-case scenario would be similar to YSL Y EDP for me except that Coach Platinum does not have the same strength. Treating this like subdued and slightly sweeter Sauvage will give you the best use-case scenarios for this fragrance. This works very well if you're looking to wear the Sauvage DNA but in a scenario where you don't want much sillage and projection as in the office or similar situations. In this scenario this perfume does its job very very well. I'll be using this frag often.

Coach Bruno has put together some good stuff with the original and platinum men's fragrances. I like them more and more as time goes on. Coach Platinum opens with a slightly sweet orangey pineapple note. I really like it, it sits on some soft woods and I think the pepper and leather notes are balanced really well against the vanilla. After a couple of hours, the vanilla is more prominent and can be detected on clothes for several more hours. It doesn't really project so it's more suited for close encounters; I've had people not let me go so they could hug me longer since I smelled so "delicious". I think it's a great casual fragrance for day and night across all seasons; signature worthy just like the original Coach for men, and other mild spicy freshies. In comparison to other frags I find similar, it does not come close to how versatile and strong my Dior Sauvage edt was, instead it is more calm and reserved. It is much better balanced, longer lasting and more inviting than my Ajmal Zeal - I probably won't use that again until I finish this. This is really really good. Thanks Coach Bruno!

This is my first perfume from Coach, you can barely if not at all notice the pinneaple, which was the reason I bought a sample in the first place. The vanilla and sandalwood are the ones that stand up the most. First thing I noticed is this fragrance has a strong sillage but within arms length, I could smell it over my shoulders the whole evening, sprayed at 2 pm and could always notice it until 8pm. I would say this is a safe blind buy, fantastic smell, imagine powdery small notes of vainilla with sandalwood, that's what this fragrance really smells like, if you are close to it, the sandalwood becomes more aparent. Since I like those it has become one of my favs. People are saying it reminds them of Sauvage, this one has a fresh spicy listed as the second top accord and yes, it does smell SIMILAR like a dried down Sauvage edt, but I can assure you no one is actually going to make that connection unless they have both these frags and you tell them beforehand they smell alike. 5/5.

This is a fantastic scent. The opening is bright and sweet from that pineapple. I love that creamy vanillic sandalwood with a bit of leatheryness. Longevity and projection are really good. I get the Sauvage comparisons but honestly not at all what I thought when I first started wearing it. It’s only after reading other people’s reviews and trying to see if I can relate and only then I can somewhat see where they’re coming from. This dips its feet into blue fragrance territory but the vanilla and leather steers it away a little. This isn’t as summer suitable as other blue fragrances but still very versatile. If you have both, layer this under Versace Dylan Blue and you literally get Dior Sauvage Parfum. I notice original and coach green are criticised for their performance but in my experience this does not lack in that department

"Creamier, vanilla Sauvage" sounds about right to me, except it's softer, without the sharpness that Sauvage has especially in the opening. I only get the pineapple for a minute or so. Wish it stayed around longer, but I like the fragrance so much that I won't fault it for that.. The drydown is sweet, powdery, and addicting; perfect for cooler weather. Perfformance is moderate. No complaints in that department. Overall, I think this is excellent; can't stop smelling myself. Great price on discounters, versatile, easy to like.I don't know which one I like more, this or the original Coach for men. (Lleaning toward this.. but when summer hits and I start wearing the original, I'll probably change my tune.) This is a "love" for me.

This fragrance to me has always been and always will be one of my favorites. It has such a simple but yet nice scent profile. It opens up with the bright and fresh pineapple and juniper berries. then after 10 - 20 minutes it starts to smell more aromatic due to the cashmeran and geranium which compliments the fresh and kinda fruity opening. then shortly after it dries down into a nice, refined, and sophisticated smell due to the vanilla, sandal wood, and the leather. This is my go to if im meeting someones family, having an interview, going somewhere nice, or going on a fancy date. It lasts around 6 - 8 hours, wont offend people, and gets a lot of compliments. I would have to give it a 9.5/10

Platinum is as if Sauvage was the promiscuous punker rebel in high school but graduated with a PhD in college. Still sleeved up with tattoos, but covered in a white lab coat. Who you would cross the street if you saw them coming your way, you now sprint to meet up with cause he has your back. On a more serious note... A truly mature and exceptional fragrance. It takes some finesse to apply as it’s One of the longest lasting and farthest projecting frags I own. This is honestly one of the nicest fragrances I’ve ever smelled. I want to chime in one more time about the comparisons to Sauvage. The similarities are definitely there. Imho, platinum smells like Sauvage and Prada L’homme had a baby

Smells like Mont Blanc explorer and Versace Eros had a baby I get the pineapple fruitiness with beautiful vanilla and sandalwood with spices in the background then it becomes fresh with cashmeren and sage then the dry down it becomes this beautiful subtle vanilla fruity fragrance that will get you compliments 100% I have gotten so many compliments with this one and I think the best part of this fragrance is the opening I just love the blast of fruit,vanilla,spices this is one of the best fragrances in my collection and it last 6-7 hours with decent silage which is pretty good I highly recommend buying this one it is the best flanker.

This was love at first sniff. Was a complete blind buy. I got it for $40 at aura fragrance and was expecting a bland basic fragrance like Sauvage edt. This is not bland or basic in any way. Creamy, sweet, edible, mass appealing scent. From the top I get a sweet and juicy scent which is mouth watering. After an hour it turns into a vanilla, leather, pistachio scent which is very addictive. Works well for any season but doesn’t last long. I get 3-4 projection before it comes intimate. I carry a decant of this stuff because the performance isn’t a reason for me to not wear this. If I haven’t made it clear I love this.

Honestly this is just a beautiful fragrance. Fruity up top, herbal middle, with a creamy woody patchouli dry down. I'm tempted to use it more than I already do. Update: I'm a fan of Coach, but this is my clear favorite; it's just so smooth and awesome. I get a silky suede pineapple gin and pepper martini to kick things off in the open, sliding into softly floral cashmere and sage. The base is my favorite part and lasts a good 6-8 hours on my skin; the creamy sandalwood and patchouli suede to me is just so good. Curses on the executive that made the decision to discontinue this beautiful fragrance.

New to collecting and this one was one of my first. Gotta say, after the few others I've collected so far this one still has got to be my favorite. Its something about that sweet, vanilla opening that eventually dries down to this spicy, woody, vanilla scent that really appeals to my nose. I really wish the performance and projection were better on this one. I find that spraying it on clothes as well with your skin will really project when people are close to you. I'm hoping to find a similar fragrance of this scent that projects and last longer, but until then this one is the go-to!

Wife got me this one for Valentine's and I am in love with it! I did have this one in my wish list for a while and, form test I had done, this was THE Coach fragrance for me. The smell is great, very easy to wear (signature scent worth), and a compliment getter up close. My wife definitely enjoys it as well, even with thinking this works best in the evening. The vanilla here is surreal, but it does smell synthetic - I sneeze quite a bit when I spray this one. Think I can even be allergic to something in the composition. Nevertheless, worth buying it and I'm sure you'll love it too.

I smelled this fragrance at macys and I was thinks of coach for man og or this one I got this one because I love vanilla fresh fragrances and when came I was very surprised because it has a fresh fruity opening then it becomes this woody,sweet leathery fragrance it is very unique it only kinda smells like Dior sauvage but with some creed aventus dna like just remnants but overall I have never smelled a fragrance like this and it’s good for all year round but just not in the freezing cold so spring is the best time to wear it but it’s still very versatile

Bought for 25usd on Jomashop for the 50ml bottle. I think for the smell and value it’s a 10/10. Very affordable sweet, blue signature scent. Longevity is 6-7 hours on my skin with a 2 feet bubble for the first hour. 1 Foot bubble for 3 hours. Then intimate until the last few hours before it becomes a skin scent. I love the opening, 8/10 but the dry down is better, sexier, and just overall more pleasing def 10/10 In terms of an overall score it’s a 9/10
