Coach Wild Rose

I got a sample of this and thought I would try it out. I fell in LOVE! I went out and bought a travel spray but I will be buying a full size one day. I haven't ever thought about Coach for perfume but this one has me curious about their other scents too! It's nothing too revolutionary but as someone who typically stays away from rose, I was head over heels. This is a very sweet rose. Some describe it as jammy and I would agree with that. My favorite thing about this perfume though is it has a balsam fir-like layer under the sweet rose. I guess the base notes (but really the moss) bring that out. It's not Christmas-y at all though if you worry about that. So if you think the jammy rose might be too sweet, I think that the base notes balance it out. I think wild rose is a fitting name but saying it's like running through a field of flowers? I like to think of it as laying on the forest floors and surrounded by roses and eating sweet berries. Overall, I think it's a fun sweet fragrance, not too risky of a blind buy in my opinion. I think you could wear this anytime of the year really, day or night, but I'm excited to wear this for the fall! However, the projection isn't very consistent on me, some days it lasts a long times, sometimes not.

Imagine a date with your loved one, there are roses and a candle burning on the table and you are both sipping desert wine - this is how it smells like. I've found coach to be a trustworthy brand in regards to fragrances as all are well executed, smell quite natural, well blended and I feel each tell a story. This is a mature, slightly musty rose but in a good way, it is also soothing and enchanting, great for evening wear. Up close it has this natural rosy tangyness that balances out the sweetness, probably the bergamot but it feels more like part of the rose than a stand alone note. I don't feel the jasmine at all, the ambroxan is balanced and mostly ties the notes together, the moss I can only feel up close. Regarding the red current, this smells more like red current jam than fresh red currents, I'd say the most prominent note is the rose - a grown up and mature rose, not a dewy, green and fresh spring rose.

I really love this perfume and was surprised by how much I enjoy it! I am usually a bit skeptical of rose fragrances, but this one really is not floral to me at all. Lots of reviews describe this as "jammy," and I have to agree. While it is somewhat linear, I really enjoy the sweet and tart mixture of redcurrant and rose. I also really get the sweet tonka bean in the base and think that the moss balances out the sweetness with a gentle green note. I think that this is a really well balanced perfume, as it is sweet and fruity but not headache inducing (for me). I think this is an excellent fall and wintertime scent, and I personally find it to be similar to Jimmy Choo's I Want Choo Forever. I recommend this for colder months or for date nights! Also, I think that the bottle does an excellent job at conveying the ambiance of this fragrance.

I had a sample of this that I gave away to my grandma months ago because I did not like this at all. I think it was the ambroxan note overpowering everything else. Today I decided to spray my wrist and I surprisingly love the opening. It dries down to a jammy sweet rose with caramel? Why can’t I stop sniffing my wrist? I’m on an amber kick lately and this reminds me of BR540. It’s very warm and sexy. I think I’m actually in love with this. It’s fruity and sour in the opening but then it dries down to a sweet rosy amber. I would love a bottle. I also think it’s different from Very Good Girl. Update: now I understand the comparisons to Burberry Her. Today I wore Burberry Her Elixir & a couple hours later, I was reminded of Coach Wild Rose. The ambery drydown is WAY TOO similar. I’m sad because this isn’t as unique as I thought it was.

Coach Wild Rose is Sweet, but Fresh. Spicy, but Fruity. A bright smelling fragrance that is very well rounded with the warmer tonka bean and ambroxan. A very pretty scent. It is bringing me back to the early 2010s a little bit but in a really pleasant way. A nice, nostalgic vanilla-ambery floral scent. On intial spray, the red fruit smell is strong and sweet and theres a deep rose oil just underneath it that becomes more pronounced later. Not freshly cut roses, more of a concentrated rose. But there is undoubtedly a freshness there that reminds me of a field of some sort. Flowery and sexy without being powdery. Once it starts to dry down, the smoky spiciness from the base notes really starts to shine through. It might be too sweet for some at first spray, but it evens out. In my opinion, this is a year-round, day or night fragrance.

oh this is good! i spritz'ed it into my elbow at sephora 4 or 5 hours ago and almost forgot about it before i caught a whiff of a nice smell from my fingers. and now i'm sniffing my arm analysing the dry down. it's a dark, mature, juicy type of sweetness. it's not juvenile. kind of a sexy mom smell with just the right, slight amount of powder, as if it were a light tap over the whole concoction to pull it all together, not one of the main ingredients. i'm not a bit fan of mature (read: grandma) scents that are too heavy on the powdery edit: it's been another 4 hours since i posted this review and i cannoooot stop going back to my elbow to keep smelling this. i sadly can't imagine it on myself because i associate it being womanly and matronly, but this would make a great gift for my mother

Very Good Girl + Burberry Her Elixir. Some days I smell VGG, other days it’s the ambery drydown of Her Elixir. I adore it and got it for an awesome steal so I’ve been using this everyday. It smells like juicy tart red berries in the opening (reminiscent of the currant note in VGG) but then it dries down to a sweet ambery rose scent. It is syrupy sweet and wearable for everyday and night. I don’t find the longevity the best and the sprayer is terrible but it is one I would take on vacation with me. edit: I did a longevity test and found that this lasted 8 hours. It’s just more of a skin-scent and has intimate projection after a while. I’m probably nose blind to it. This dries down like MAPLE SYRUP on my skin. It’s insane.

This reminds me a lot of Angel Nova EDP, but I don’t mind at all cause I really like Angel Nova but I don’t own a full size bottle. I got a 1.7oz bottle of Wild Rose for $30 and I’m super happy with it! It’s sweet but not juvenile. I love the Ambroxan note too. The rose is a bit drowned out by the red currant, I think, but it’s still a lovely scent. With all that being said, I wouldn’t recommend this if someone asked for rose fragrance recs. This is not a rose fragrance in my opinion. The little bit of rose that peaks through once it starts drying down isn’t enough to warrant that categorization. Like I said though, it is a deliciously sweet fragrance that I think would work for any season or time of day!

I got this as a free sample on a insta ad and I instantly thought of Burberry Her but figured I didn’t need another like it, but something in it kept bringing me back. The opening to me is a mix between Burberry Her and Very Good Girl, but elevated and classy. I own both of those others and love them for different occasions- not dogging them at all. The dry down on my skin (when I catch whiffs) smells somewhat like saffron, which is why I think people get br540 vibes. On my clothes it doesn’t turn into that saffron scent though! Overall I really love this and I personally think it’s a good year round fragrance, and I can’t wait to wear it this summer and fall! Full size bottle is on its way :)

This is the one I get compliments on all the time and people just have to know what it is. It’s berries, rose, with ambroxan and Tonka present throughout. Inoffensive, I might call it inviting/approachable? At least inviting people to comment on it. Its projection is quite good, but it’s so likable I’ve not gotten anything but positive feedback. The ambroxan and tonka probably garner the BR540 and Burberry Her comparisons, but if you dismiss this as a dupe of either you may be jumping the gun. This is different from both, but yes there’s a similar base between the three. I sold my old fitness tracker (worn on the wrist) online, and the buyer later emailed me to ask what perfume I wore.

Blind bought this because I am a sucker for a good rose. This is what I imagine BR540 (which I hate) smells like to people who love it. I got in my car after wearing it and it was very much a sweet, beautiful BR540 without the nostril burning/palsticy smell. I sprayed it during a heat wave and while it can be nice for summer, I think it would be better summer nights or day/night the rest of the year. I have been on a hunt for a nice sweet rose and this is everything I have wanted. A hint of delina, beautiful amber, sweet but no overbearing vanilla. It is also similar to Nest Turkish Rose, which is a bit more sour and synthetic than this. Very very happy with this purchase.

This has grown on me and I really like it! It has amazing lasting power especially on skin and most perfumes don’t last good on my skin. This one is great value for money. I think it will be great in the cooler months. There’s something about it that is captivating. I love Tresor midnight rose but it is not an easy wear or easy reach. Wild Rose is and that is what I was looking for with this perfume. Something similar to midnight rose but more casual. Although this would be good for any occasion, it is very elegant. I also have coach floral blush and that is a very fruity fresh shampooey scent good for hot summer days and just casual. Would be a good one for young girls.

Floral and sweet, definitely get rose and berries initially. Really the first spray is a tiny bit artificial smelling, but quickly dries down into a soft feminine floral berry summertime scent. Almost kind of like a grown up version of those Bath & Body Works body sprays (I know they have a bunch of them but most of them smell the same tbh). It's absolutely lovely when it warms up, especially if you're out in the sun. This perfume is definitely meant for summertime. Editing my comment to say that it almost has some vanilla cotton-candy notes on the drydown, I notice it when I get warm from the sun or the shower. Not in a bad cheap way though, it smells great.

I love this one more and more every time I smell it! I was initially put off by the top note being "fruity" as I'm not usually into girly, fruit-forward perfumes, but this smells very elegant and complex. The fruit gives the other notes richness, rather than dominating on its own, and similarly, the rose doesn't read to me as classic rose petals. The overall effect is more like rose-hip jam than either a straightforward rose or berry, and the warm, amber drydown is sooo nice. This seems like it would be really wearable in any season, but I'm really enjoying it on cool Fall afternoons and evenings. Quickly becoming a new favorite!

This is a beautiful autumnal ambery rose scent with red berries, warm, sweet and comforting. Could work as the only autumn scent in a minimalistic collection - it just works and it is so lovely. Must say, I get benzoin i here in equal amounts to the tonka, but who am I to know? I would place it between Trésor Midnight Rose, Burberry Her Intense (the brown, ambery one) and Sí Passione Intense. Jeez. You could gift this to anyone who likes cozy evenings by the fire or wear burgundy a lot. You could choose it for meeting your partners parents for the first time. Such a beauty.

I find this to be a mature fragrance. I was choosing between Coach Wild Rose & a different perfume, and I had my boyfriend help me - he chose this one. I am usually a spicy, musky, warm & smoky type of girl, but I wanted something outside of my comfort zone. I am not fond of fruity perfume (unless it's a well done cherry), however this one called to me. I love how it's fruity notes are rounded with spice and rose - it's a sensual scent. When first sprayed on, it's obviously fruity - 4 hours later, a sweet spice remains. I think it's suitable for all seasons & day & night.

Been enjoying this little number a lot! It’s my perfect winter perfume. Great in January and will be perfect in February as well for Valentine’s romantic mood. Nicely balanced and blended. I don’t really notice a strong sour red currant note. I feel like it’s more dark rose than jasmine and vanilla like drydown. Pretty bottle and burgundy red color helps the mood. On my skin it lasts around 3-4 hours. Projects within an arms lengt. Great for every day or could be for evening and date night. Versatility. Not beast mode. But just right. I don’t need it to be too strong.

Love the bottle design. This is the cutest Coach perfume bottle in my opinion. It smells like raspberry jam at first which might make it better as a winter scent. But, I think this scent could be worn any time of year, day or night. The jam note then fades a bit and you get more of a soft spicy note. The spicy note is addictive. I cannot stop sniffing it. The moss note kind of mixes with the spice note so it's just an interesting spice smell and not too earthy. I don't really smell any rose notes but that is fine with me because I don't like rose-heavy perfumes.

If you’re not a rose lover, don’t let the name of this fragrance scare you off. I’m not a big fan of light rose watery scents (like little flower, Rosario, rose etc), but this is not like that at all. Also, I don’t get any similarity to BR540. This smells so fresh, fruity, almost slightly green in the beginning for a few seconds if you inhale really hard. It starts of tart and zingy, in a fruity way, not sour. It’s a sweet, fruity, lightly floral scent with a nice sweet, musky dry down. Very easy reach, not cloying, heavy, or syrupy. I love it!!

The second most unique out of coaches recent line of fragrances while still maintaining a crowd pleasing appeal.I love this one a lot. Beautiful jammy rose almost reminiscent of a raspberry lemonade dont take the lemonade too literal its not lemony but the bergamot gives it that sweet citrus mixed with the raspberry note.It has a little mystery to it too, I think this would be great for a date night, a classy late night event or to a underground speak easy. Its lovely and I would recommend, its also a safe blind buy.
