Southern Peach Tea

I tend to shy away from floral perfumes, but I adore osmanthus. I've been looking for the perfect osmanthus and black tea fragrance. Something light and soothing, mature and playful at the same time. This is the one! The tea is just slightly bitter, rounded out by creamy osmanthus and fig, while the citrus and spices offer an invigorating afternote. The perfect fruity floral that doesn't feel to basic or too childish. It's perfect for spring or summer.

Coastal Carolina Parfums Southern Peach Tea is one of the house’s second wave of releases in 2022, and it very much delivers a fruity, fresh, and sweet tea experience. It has citruses, sugar, plenty of peach, and plenty of tea, along with some other fruity notes, thought the peach is probably the most front-and-center note of them all. I generally find both tea- and especially peach-led fragrances to be challenging but there are a number of tea fragrances that I do love and own; however, I don’t own any peach fragrances, in the spirit of full disclosure. This is nicely done, though, and I could see myself wearing it, even though it’s among my favorites of the house (2-6 and Victorian Vanilla are my favorites), but I’d encourage everyone out there to order a sample pack to try out this and the others. It’s priced slightly higher than the rest of the line, at $135/39.50 for 50/17ml, and is available for pre-order currently, so I believe that means that it sold out, but this is very good value, as with the rest of the line. 7 out of 10

Southern Peach tea is a refreshing citrus/peach/tea scent that isn't overly sweet. I find the cardamom and coriander give this perfume a nice spicy edge that keeps it from being boring. This is perfect for hot weather. I'm surprised that a green accord is not listed above because I find this perfume rather green as well. It is zesty. Zesty is the word I would use to describe this fun little perfume. It puts a spring in your step, it gives you energy. It is refreshing just like a cold glass of fruity/citrus tea w/ a hint of secret spice. Longevity is very good which is an issue w/ freshie perfumes at times but not w/ this one. If you like tea perfumes check this out. The dry down is a nice vanilla. So Zesty for the start and mid, sweet for the finish. This company has very generous samples they are 5mls each. More than enough to help you decide. And they offer 17ml bottles perfect for collectors. Customer service is also stellar w/ this brand.

I really do like this scent! Not sure why peach isn’t in the notes list but it def has peach notes more so than blood orange I feel! IMO blood orange is stronger scent than what this fragrance is as a whole. On my skin initial spray is mostly the tea notes. It’s still soft and cozy with the cardamom. The dry down after about 20 minutes is heaven! It’s the softest herbal with true dried peach layered on top with a hint of vanilla. It’s not overly sweet (wouldn’t call it a gourmand at all). Very true to the name and I think it is definitely unisex just soft, cozy, with hint of sweet. Over spray safe.

I'm in the minority here, but I REALLY dislike this fragrance. Imagine super watery poor quality tea being steeped next to a platter of artificially flavored peach cupcakes—heavy in the peach frosting, surrounded by a huge plastic doll collection in a nicotine stained room. This made my stomach turn and I had to scrub it off after two hours. I think the musk in this combined with the coriander was a bit too funky for my taste. I was also incredibly disappointed in the lack of refreshing or uplifting qualities that I associate with my favorite summer drink. Fragrance is subjective but I would definitely recommend sampling this one because with the rave reviews I’ve seen, I was completely shocked at how this actually smelled.
