Profumo di Armonia

I love it! A soft & sensual fragrance. One in which I can detect all the notes, exactly in order of the piramid :) Citrus notes in the opening, not sharp nor sour, but joined with light powdery notes from the violet & iris. The citrus notes don't stay for long. Violet & iris take center stage pretty fast with a subtle touch of rose. The almonds in the base add a little extra punch to the powdery floral notes. The fragrance is rounded nicely with sweet and velvety vanilla & musk. Lingers gently on the skin with moderate longevity. I now own 3 of the Collistar fragrances, they all feel soothing on the skin. No irritations at all. Big thumbs up!! ♥♥♥♥♥ This actually smells a bit like Guerlain L'instant Magic. They also do share the same notes. I'm not saying they're indentical, but this one definitely reminds me of L'instant Magic.

I lately have a crave for almond scent, but I need to steer away from the typical sickening super-sweet almond note of these years. No HP for me, thank you. I wanted to revive the feelings that I had with beautiful Alexander McQueen My Queen: an enticing violet-almond combo with no sickening edge. It's gone, discontinued :-( I tried this one, hoping for a glimpse of that feeling... Well, not as near as I would have liked, this one smells ok, luscious enough, comforting, not too sweet and sickening, but on first try I had to notice that it lacks depth and ooomph. This is a try-hard nice almond water with a synthetical edge. It's very wearable and if worn with sense it will stay with you for a couple of hours with a lingering aura. Wearing too much won't make it last longer but only enphatize its synthetical edge.

Profumo di Armonia was a nice surprise for me: I'd never heard of it (or the brand Collistar) before I got a sample somewhere, so I didn't have any expectations of it, but I like it a lot. At its heart is a very nice non-gourmand, unsweetened almond; more bitter than anything, which works very well in combination with the iris, and quite light as well. Mellyhelly below me is right about the synthetic edge, but that's hard to avoid with the almond note, and this one is better than most, I think. It lasts a long time, but for most of its lifespan it sticks very close to the skin - it's not the kind of fragrance you really notice you're wearing during the day. So I can imagine it working best between a shower and bed, for example, as mentioned below; also because it's such a natural, calming interpretation of almond (as the name suggests, now that I think about it...). So I like Profumo di Armonia very much, but since I personally take my showers in the morning and generally prefer my almonds in sweeter, heavier compositions, I don't think I need a bigger amount of it now that my sample is gone. I'm glad I got to test it, though, and it's made me curious about the rest of this line!

The perfumed waters of this Maison are pleasant but one of all is this called Harmony. And the composition of this delicious water is purely harmonious. The first breath is iris and violet and then stabilizes on sweet almond. On the whole a good duration, a powdery perfume that is not cloying but fresh. I would say a good purchase!

love love love this one!! do I need to say more? I wear this after shower and it takes me to a night in Italy. Great for sitting near the open fire looking at the stars with your loved one ;-) ... warm scent but not to strong. Lovely to go to sleep with.
