Comedìa Di Mezza Estate

It took me a while to appreciate and understand it... in its simplicity, it's the most complex of the three fragrances released by the Comedìa brand. The fragrance opens with a note that reminds me of latex, or perhaps better, rubber. This powerful combination of warm milk, honey, and mulberry leaves an almost plasticky note on me, which fades and enhances what happens next: a magical experience. The note blends perfectly with a field of wildflowers, chamomile, and mimosa. I smell this very WILD sensation, almost allowing me to use the Italian popular term "Camporella" (making love in the countryside, alone). Honeyed woody notes fix this emotion on the skin.

The perfect chamomile scent imo. In the opening there is a distinct feeling of rubber - or better yet, a very specific kind of latex reminding of sexual intimacy, something almost animalic similar to the smell of dry chamomile flowers, mixed with sharp, sweet florals and milk. After a while, the honey comes through and the sharper aspects of the opening get mellowed out, leaving a creamy, milky and sweet chamomile and mimosa scent. Persistence and sillage are very good, a little goes a long way.

Shakespeare This is a fragrance inspired by the dreamlike and magical atmospheres found in the eponymous Shakespearean comedy, where love, particularly dreamlike love, is immersed in a surreal world. Here, love is symbolized by the essence of a magical flower, which perhaps has the very aroma I perceive in this fragrance. A whirlwind of flower petals, highlighted by mulberry and daffodil, is immersed in milk, which here has an almost primordial scent, balanced by the slight bitterness of almond. What you experience on the skin is uncommon; it breaks the mold and presents wonderful olfactory contrasts to my nose. It definitely needs to be tested on skin; it has a strong personality and, in addition to immersing us in a dreamlike atmosphere, makes us unique. The sillage and longevity are excellent, very versatile, but in my opinion, it's wonderful to wear during a mild summer evening. “Hermia and Lysander” painted by John Simmons.

I always imagine these notes — they probably smell like my hometown in June/July day, a mountain village in Eastern Anatolia. I miss that scent so much. Please bring this to Turkey, and if anyone gets to try it, please leave a comment! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
