Andy Warhol's You're In

Kind of like eating fruity pebbles in the laundry room. The metallic wash bucket at your feet with traces of cleanser is sensed below (the metallic amber and the bizarrely soft alien florals). But right on top is this addictive experience of the aldehydes, cashmere wood, and musks mixing with that initial explosion of bitter orange and makrut lime zest. Oddly enough this all feels kind of nostalgic in a way and adds up to a milky bowl of fruity pebbles and doing sunday laundry. Sadly it just doesn't last or project very much so I am constantly sniffing my wrist for it for the 1 hour I can detect it. I like it right out of a shower or right before bed; because why can't I have cereal twice a day?

Love this. Great for late winter, early spring, and summer nights. Sparkling bitter citrus soda. More metallic than sweet. None of that glue/rubber/inky/solvent type smell that a lot of CdG frags have. Definitely a bit standoffish but assertive and fun to wear. An acquaintance said it smells like a gin tonic. I don’t 100% agree but it’s the closest “real world” smell I could compare this to. Not the biggest Andy Warhol fan but glad I decided to test at Dover Street Market. Even though the notes seem common, I have nothing exactly like this in my collection. Unique at a decent price.

An excellent excellent cologne, bitter, salty, sweet citrus, very unusual. This is a dark lemon - with lemon peel at the center, a background which is metallic, a bit ambery and with white flowers. One of the best citrus smells I've tried - up there with Eau d'Orange Verte. And oh so sexy! A triumphant cologne.

I love aldehydes and I love this fragrance! It reminds me of This is Not a Blue Bottle 1.5, but this one is less floral/ambery and more citrusy. And this costs less! I would say that Not a Blue Bottle 1.5 lasts longer though, probably because it is EdP.

But Maurice, but CDG! But yes, yes, there was an idea. A 21st-century aldehydes. The perfume of the future done-and-done-now. Pittosporum-cashmere-white clouds: we wanted soft-blue-gray and clean, but this disappears as quickly as it arrived. It's all light. Clean laundry. Lemon Marseille soap. Ironing still in fashion. Distilled water. I like it, yes, but it's so volatile here! Too bad: it would have been a nice alternative to Not a Perfume. But: in layering perhaps? Still, it has a certain depth, both floral and aromatic, that would merit a meeting with other perfumes. One more in the series of mono-fantoms-laundrymat, then, but each with its own specificity.

What a weird piece of art to try to make a fragrance about. CDG is always ambitious though, this one does a pretty good job. The top notes are a bit overpowering, as there's nothing strong for them to hold on to They kind of just disappear and leave you with nothing. It's a great citrus scent nonetheless, but performance is weak. I think if they added a bit more musk, or maybe some ozonic notes, this could have been avoided.

The most unisex fragrance I have smelt alongside Odeur 53. As other people have said, it smells like a laundry - it's fresh, slightly citrusy, very metallic, and clean. Lemongrass note is very apparent when first sprayed, and the slight citrus scent feels almost futuristic. Lasted about 2 hours at arms length silage, then the skin scent lasted another hour. Not a fragrance I'd wear often, but I can appreciate the art of it.

On my skin this is all coriander and nothing else. I like coriander so this is nice! Not special enough for me to add it to my collection though. Look at me, trying to not go broke :)

This is one step beyond nothingness on my skin. It's like the light beer version of a CdG scent. Not that I'm obsessed with sillage, but even with my nose a centimeter from my wrist, it's barely anything. I'm getting a sweet citrus (almost like a lemon drop candy) mixed with aldehydes and ozonic and the ghost of cashmeran. Not worth it, in my opinion, however, I bet Warhol would appreciate convincing a consumer to pay $100 for a bottle of perfumer's alcohol with a splash of citrus and aldehydes.

Ama atmosferi ve verdiği his, performansının önüne geçiyor. . . . “Comme Des Garçons” Andy Warhol’s Since I bought this fragrance last year, I had plenty of time to let it macerate. Revisiting it now, I can say it does not smell exactly like Ganymede, yet it carries a very similar spirit. It feels as if they took the soft sweetness and mineral touch of saffron from Ganymede and blended it here with coriander and aldehydes. The aldehydic structure also feels completely different from Bouge Maai — much smoother and more refined. What emerged is truly an extraordinary composition. It has such a unique atmosphere that I genuinely wish more people could experience it through a sample first. The bitter orange note in the opening smells incredibly realistic and never comes across as synthetic. It adds a very natural brightness to the fragrance. As for performance, both longevity and projection sit around the moderate range. Still, the atmosphere and emotion this fragrance creates easily stand out more than its raw performance. 10/7.7

I love painting and like the works and style of Andy Warhol, I also love perfumery and Maurice Raucel is one of my favorite performers. I love niche houses, like CDG, that go in an artistic way rather than pure marketing. And I personally like some of the less common accords like metallic and mineral accords. Based on all these things, this fragrance should be an absolute winner. But I am experienced enough in the game not to blind buy, so got a 5 ml decant. And surprisingly, a big disappointment! The citrus and metallic notes give the vibe of the can of pop, and that's it!? 5.5/10

Unfortunate nose-blinding effect almost immediately. I couldn’t smell the dry down because it “disappeared” for me. However, my wife said she could smell it from 3 feet away. She told me it was masculine and definitely “not weird.” I’ll have to try more to catch the notes. This must be why some report not smelling much. I get this with a lot of CDG aldehydics (soda, serpentine) but not to this extent. A month later: I bought a full bottle. Despite the fact that it smells like the freshly cleaned elevator at work, I love it.

Usually I am not crazy about hesperidé perfume but here I was totally seduced by the association of Comme des garçons and Andy Warhol. You're in is a modern and ''urban'' twist on that very classic family perfume.I was really surprised to enjoy the metallic note. Like Mark Behnke from the Colognoisseur's blog that metallic note remind me the fog used in the 70's and 80's in many disco clubs. For a citrus You're in have a good stay and the packaging is a collector one.

This scent is unusual but absolutely stunning. Wonderful! It makes me stop and smile. Initially, it spreads a mixture of fresh air, lemon and orange, which gives an outdoorsy experience. Laundry and freshly washed clothes on drying in the air. Linnen. Alderahydes consists through the development till the dry down. There is an element of woodiness and metal as well. And all this gives you a kind of youthful avant-garde feeling. So nice creation, Maurice Roucel!

Somewhat between the total refinement of Chanel's Eau de Cologne and the synthetic strength of Comme's own Soda this might just be the most original offering from the house since their 2011 new Eau de Parfum. And the fact that they brought Maurice Roucel on board for this adds an interesting aspect - indeed a certain particular muskiness for which he has been so celebrated since his works for Helmut Lang are somewhat present in this one. Well done.

I have sampled a few things today so I will take that into account. This is a skin scent at best. Has that post modern clean smell but I think other fragrances i.e. One of Those Oxygen(80). I get a few of those notes listed like the metallic note and the citrus but they are faded into one another and don't really stand out. This is not bad but just does not have enough identity for me to fall in love. I like the packaging.

Alright, I'll bite. What an unfortunate name. Rolls off the tongue sounding like "Andy Warhol's Urine," which does NOT sound like anything I'd ever want to smell. Even if this stuff smelled like the ambrosial rainbow farts of flying unicorns, I'd still think "Andy Warhol's Urine" whenever I see this name. Yikes! Looks like someone skipped the focus group.

A very light, practically non-existent scent that lacks character. Nothing stands out. If CdG Soda was a bottle of sprite, this one is a perrier gone flat. Literally getting the scent of a cold glass of water, with just a touch of something that tickles the nose, maybe a touch of aldehydes. Not sure what the point of this one was

That "estate" of his is MILKING his image and name like crazy. Why do I suspect that all the older adults are gone and now nieces & nephews are buying Porches and McMansions off the money. Hmmm..... Very sad. Also see the estates of Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley and Marilyn Monroe for more legalized memorial-prostitution. Fooey!

Smelled this locally today. Took me about 3-4 minutes to figure out why it was familiar.. LV Afternoon Swim. On skin I don’t know since I didn’t try on skin, but on paper it smells just like Afternoon Swim. Maybe it’ll at least last longer than 5 minutes!
