Classique Perdu

nostalgic is the word, many comparisons and memories come to mind, but classique perdu is uniquely itself . the permanent marker accord does pop in and out and smelling it almost feels dangerous but intriguing, reminiscent of sharpie or poppers (which i feel vaquera would be aligned with the latter) . this is only one facet of the perfume though, the suede+sage+rose is what i find most present, the styrax lends a tar/asphalt feeling . the top notes are very green but not bitter, very natural smelling like a bloody mary . leans more sexy masculine white suede to me, but anyone could wear it . for an edt its persistent, the packaging and bottle is fab too, excited to see where vaquera takes us, ive loved watching them grow over their seasons .

I can understand how this could be misunderstood. It is bizarre and fun...like it's quirky bottle. But I have found myself enjoying this more than any other bottle in my collection. Yes...right out of the bottle it feels like you've been tending to the tomato plant all day. But that only lasts 30-60min. After that it goes to the Abercrombie Fierce/shaving cream everyone else is mentioning. But it's far better than that...it's deep and complex...slightly resinous but strong and bold. Sexy. And it LASTS ALL DAY. I get 10-12 hours, easy. This might be my favorite fragrance in my collection. It's fun and quirky, yet performs and smells damn good all day.

These are just my subjective opinions, based on experience and personal preferences. As always, don’t listen too much to what other people say. Try it out for yourself. If you like it, there’s no wrong or right. Aromatic-leathery fresh and light. Tomato leaf, black currant and sage makes a very plesasant and appealingly green-aromatic fresh combination. I don’t like cold iris, but I think it’s acceptable in this case. 80s hairspray. The marker pen note is not very prominent (only for the purpose of marketing?). I should love this, but the use of synthetics is just too much. In style, it’s reminiscent if the Clash-series (now ’Accident’), for example, Celluloid Galbanum : light, fresh, green, synthethic. It’s nice. The suede gets more prominent in the drydown. Blends in nicely in the opening. I think it’s easy to like overall. It’s better than 10 , which was a synthetic mess, but it still leaves me with a bitter aftertaste of what the future of CDG perfumes might be. The overall impression of quality is unfortunately underwhelming. Still, I’m curious to explore further work by Suzy Le Helley. I’m convinced she is a future name and has a lot of potential with adequate resources. If this was the first CDG I ever experienced, I’m sure it would have made a larger impression, now it’s more like a remake of a film I’ve already seen too many times. Sorry.

ok, this is the first time I really don't get and don't like CDG perfume. very cheap boring urinal blackcurrant perfume. and I don't recognize the CDG DNA in it at all. any brand could make this perfume.

I tried this on myself and at first it smells like a watery, earthy, sweet melon, cucumber skin after shave, and then it quickly subsided and it smelled a lot like a walking into clothing store but i couldn't pin point it. Then I realised it reminded me of Abercrombie & Fitch! I haven't been in a store in ages, like 12 years, but that's what it reminds me of, mixed with a hint of apple compote with vanilla whipped cream and almonds. Maybe the tomato leaf is in the beginning is what make it feel fresh? It did have a cocktail sort of vibe to it but it disappeared relatively quickly. In any case I'm not really picking up on it specifically, and I was trying another tomato leaf perfume that was way more green. Also not getting the blackcurrant. Fierce from A&B, that they supposedly use in store, do share some notes: sandalwood, evernyl/oakmoss, sage, rose, lavender/rosemary. Curious if others feel the same. Update: been wearing this for 48 hours and I can still smell it faintly on my wrist, showered twice.

Abercrombie Fierce but with a CDG twist. The tomato vine note in the opening is noticeable but not for too long and the florals balances out the suede dry down preventing it from being an exact dupe of AF Fierce. I would say the performance is above average and lasts a large portion of the day. I’ve always loved the smell of Fierce and love CDG fragrances so this one is a win for me. It’s masculine but in a youthful way and has a sense of nostalgia for the early 2010s that makes the scent profile particularly cheerful to me. Even though it’s similar to Fierce, I’d say the profile stands out against many typical fragrances you see designer houses releasing today.

I surf the grid, hoping to see your silhouette, among the commonplace. These bodies, defined and mostly akin to stone, bear resemblance to the Bruce Weber imagery printed on Abercrombie & Fitch shopping bags. This scent embodies exactly that - the mall as escapism, pulsating music in a retail store, $70 price tags, Laguna Beach reruns on a box TV, your best friend stealing your boyfriend at the bonfire. You want nostalgia? Buy it now.

Eclectic cowgirl. Pink glossy pleather. Limón con Sal. Michelada. Smudged nightclub stamp ink on the back of your hand. Fresh Polaroid. Sexy soft suede in a metallic silver shade. Unisex. Feels like dejavú, because the scent reminds me of a nostalgic past yet still modern futuristic. At first it’s aromatic then settles into a very comfortable suede accord and salty skin.

aromatic kinda after shave adjacent bc of the clary sage.. but ya .. something metallic about it.. its nice. wearable indeed and for someone not fussy but still cool this would be a great choice for a signature scent. i like it but nothing wow

Big fan of CDG. That being said this smells cheap and synthetic. For $80 an ounce this is an easy pass. Way better and more affordable options out there
