Comme des Garcons 2 Bijou

This smells like an original CGD2 old batch. I think most people notice the difference when comparing the newer batch of 2 with 2 Bijou. However, if you compare it with an original batch of 2 that has “16 Place Vendôme” on the back, I don’t think you’ll find any difference. 2 Bijou smells identical to my first bottle of 2, which I purchased in 2003. I still use that bottle, so it’s not just how I remember the scent. My most recent bottle of 2 was purchased a few months ago, and I was so disappointed with how the scent has changed. The overall scent profile is still there, but it has lost its longevity and turns powdery much faster. In the old batches, the powdery notes didn’t appear until the very end. With 2 Bijou, I finally smell the same intensity of old original 2. It has that long, warm, and super-spicy phase, which can last for a new hours. The oldest batches (1999–2004) remain the best.

Here to put this question to rest, definitively: Is this the same as CDG2? One review says yes, one review says no. I have one on each arm. I’ve forgotten which is which. Same mysterious, strangely inky DNA. 100% identical. Forever skeptical of the “this smells like” feature after this experience since so many have voted no. Guessing they didn't actually smell it and just saw different notes were listed. Glad to own it, though that ink note is challenging.

It's the same as Comme des Garcons 2, the one in the silver bottle. This one was just released as a limited edition bottle, but the scent inside is IDENTICAL, and for this reason there are no reviews online. I wonder why Fragrantica does not state this on the listing...

OK someone please help me...is this exactly the same as CdG 2 only in a limited edition bottle, or is it a somewhat different scent? sorry if this is an inane question but I'm having trouble finding information.

Sashenka these two fragrances are very different. This one is sweeter whilst the original is quite inky and aldehydic (powdery). I love this one better!!
