Copper

Recently got this and it was not what I was expecting. Comme De Garcons fragrances are among the most unique in the designer fragrance world. So much so that many people insist they are a Niche Brand. My feelings on this subject is that CDG is indeed, by definition, a designer brand. They are just committed to making perfumes that challenge conventional ideas of how perfumes, made for a mass market, should smell. Comme De Garcons doesn't care about likability when developing a fragrance. CDG's "pebble bottle" collection are among the more "mainstream" of CDG's fragrance creations by CDG's standards but they are far from the typical, focus group designer fragrance. Copper, the newest addition to the "Pebbles", may be the closest to mainstream scents they have made so far. Even still, it is unlike anything made by a designer brand and also unlike anything Comme De Garcons has made so far too. A couple of the feature notes in Copper, tobacco and vanilla, aren't common notes in Comme De Garcons Fragrances. It's the sweetest "Pebble" scent made by the house and while u notice incense it's not the main player in Copper as in other CDG scents. It's there, no doubt, but the focus of Copper is tobacco, amber and vanilla. It reminds me of a more interesting Sunshine Men by Amouage. Think about that. A designer fragrance that smells more interesting than a fragrance it shares similarities with from AMOUAGE...Copper and Sunshine share a similar smell which reminds me of old school american vintage candy cigarettes with the red dye on the tips of them as if they were lit...LOL. What can I say I love vintage candy. ;p Unlike Sunshine, it doesn't just start that way and end that way. It's not as linear. Copper starts off spicy and very green...to the point of vegetal. This threw me off at first and this is probably the most challenging part of the scent. Very beautiful but very weird. It's as if Comme De Garcons made the choice to do a tobacco amber scent but, as is their way, U get a curveball to let u know ur not wearing Chanel or Dior. The green open can remind one of what happens to copper when it oxidizes. It turns green. Copper the fragrance ages backwards because it goes from Green to Gleam. When the green opening subsides, the warm sweet tobacco, comes forward. Later, the composition is grounded by a beautiful amber-vanilla and myrrh combo which make up the drydown. It's not the most natural smelling CDG offering but it's beautiful to me. It's one of the more wearable options from CDG and is perfect for cold weather. It lasts on me for 7 hours and it projects a lot for a CDG fragrance, especially in the first 3 hours. I'm highly impressed with the scent for what it is. If ur a CDG fan and expect a more conventional CDG scent, you may be disappointed just as many fans of Amouage were disappointed with Sunshine. Both scents are a lot more playful than people are used to from both houses. Without bias, you may discover that this is a beautiful tobacco fragrance worth owning as I have. If I had to rate Copper using my PAGE RATING system (P-Poor, A- Average, G- Good, E- Exceptional), I would rate it a G fragrance. Copper is not among CDGs best from a quality ingredients perspective but it does so many things well that it doesn't lose too many points for that in my view. While it does resemble Sunshine Man by Amouage it's actually an improvement on the smell imo. Copper comes across darker and warmer where as Sunshine has a brighter slightly fresher vibe. It's not as potent as Sunshine but it's a lot more interesting and I'm a huge fan of Sunshine Man. It's also $230 less expensive. Simply Put, it's one of the best designer options, released in 2019, that men can wear. SIMPLY PUT SCENTS

I haven't been compelled to write a fragrance review in a long time... because nothing inspired me, most fleeting, generic, blah boring, whatever, ya know> Until I got a sample of this in the mail and tried it! I can't wait to buy a full size bottle and drench myself in it. I love the kind of sharp, masculine grassy metallic note that it starts off with, because it's bold, and it isn't generic or sweet! It starts to warm up a little after awhile, and with it comes a unique tinge of sweetness ontop of metal, which could be construed as copper, honestly. A brand new shiny penny, a cold one, sitting on frozen grass, in mid winter, mixed with freshly sliced slivers of wet in your face ginger, that transforms into delicious notes of tobacco, which then becomes laced with amber after it settles into itself. The tobacco sweetens up a bit. I no longer smell grass or ginger, unless.. its candied ginger, at this point. It very well could be! Still smelling... Spice comes in. Almost like spiced cider. It might be the black currents, it might be the myrrh. Spicy gingery tobacco, with fleeting blades of grass, and cold shiny new copper pennies falling from the sky into a dark mug filled with this concoction that's not liquid, not leaves, nothing that can actually be touched, like smoky clouds and puffs of something masculine and fiercely feminine in the way that a tigress is, not delicate, but strong and sexual and sensual. Heated, yet cold. Sex on a metal table. Rough. Smoky. Natural. Biting into a piece of ginger, feeling the inside of your mouth go numb as the juice saturates your mouth with spice and pain relievers. And then, a bite on your lower lip that you can feel.. and it hurts so good! Gosh darn it, it hurts so good. There's my review on 'Copper' Comme des Garcons. I like it a lot. : ) ; ) <3 <3 <3

Now this is what perfumery should be all about guys. Creating experiences. Telling something new. Being creative. Making a statement. Changing the world, or at least the way we percieve it. This is a fragrance that needs to be learned to love. There is plenty of people below who will do their best to tell you what it smells like, so I'll pass on that. Sample it. Just trust your guts with it. Give it a couple wearings. We live in very interesting time for perfumery. On the one hand you have designer brands that come up with one good hit in a decade and then everybody else tries to copy it in hopes on making a good buck and flooding the market with other fragrances, designed to please masses as wide as possible at the same time. On the other hand you have niche brands undergoing a market boom right now, doing more or less the same thing, but with more expensive ingredients, or, in the worst case of the 'indie brands', learning how to make a perfume in the first place, with us as their lab rats paying for it. And then you have a brands like CdG, Guerlain, Jovoy, Maria Candida Gentile, Amouage: brands with great history, or in the process of making their mark, with every scent being a finished piece of art, well-thought piece of art with its own narrative and context. Copper is one of those. If you're a collector, if you have passion for perfume artistry, you should definitely experience it. It will be talked about in 20 years in the same way we're talking about the breakthrough frags of the 90s and powerhouses of the 70s and 80s today. Don't miss it. Thank you for your time.

My 70th review on Fragrantica! And what a beast to hit 70 on! Copper is electrifying. An immediate burst of raw industrial notes and grim nature, which all work in perfect harmony with eachother, followed by a dry down that is a blissful balance of both bitter and sweet. This is another bold olfactory statement, from a brand that in my opinion, has it's ups and downs. Copper is definitely an up. It hits the nail bang smack on it's rusty head, and that rusty nail is being punctured into an old boiler, with gusto, like the person banging it in is efficiently hammering a racist police officer to death. This hammering of various metals takes place in an abandoned warehouse, that mother nature has begun to claim back, due to numerous green plants appearing in cracks. Copper is the smell that is on this rusty nail, when it is pulled out of the old boiler, as it combines with the vegetation scents in the air. It is odd, stark, beautiful, complex and energised. Some of CDG's other scents are Kodak red batteries from the pound shop, but Copper is Duracell batteries from the artisan DIY shop. It wants to shout about it's day to you, after it's done a celebratory line of cocaine. It is also a bit of a romping, steamy love letter to Metal Chypre by Juliette Has A Gun. It wants to fuck that perfume in a forbidden whirlwind romance. It could electrocute an electric eel to death. 10/10. I rarely give out tens, but this one deserves it.

This is CdG well and truly back on track for me, Just with this line (in the pebble bottles) you understand. It wasn't that Concrete and Blackpepper weren't alright but they were just that...alright and didn't encapsulate the avant garde, futurism and funky, artistic nature of the brand and certainly other releases. This epitomises Comme des Garcons for me. Copper doesn't have the incense themes but the sharpness and smoky bite is still coming from resins but the transparent, green and metallic, galbanum, slashing through the composition, injecting that edginess. it has a combo of my favourite top notes in cassis, pink pepper and ginger which are prominent and all in all give the main focus and a vibrant, energy to this perfume. The drydown is actually intense, brooding, resinous and with a heavy twang of myrrh which has an inimitable quality to it. Outstanding! Completely and utterly, outstanding. I don't even love it, I'm just glad that it exists and that comme des garcons are still shaking the tree of perceptions.

Galbanum has a sharp green smell which, to many, smells cold and metallic. I don't really get that... Galbanum, to me, smells sharply green and balsamic.. a massively potent note I'd recognize anywhere. CdG COPPER smells incredibly good: green, spicy, drying down to cozy, almost-sweet tobacco and vanilla/powdery hints. I think it's safe to call it a "Green Oriental"... a classification we don't often see. (Perhaps the first Green Oriental was Guerlain VOL DE NUIT in 1933). To my way of thinking, COPPER smells very masculine, indeed, almost like a modern take on KNIZE TEN. COPPER alludes to the past of manly-man fragrances, in the very best way; I can't read it as unisex. A real "flannel shirt" type scent... which is to say, a woman will go crazy sniffing this scent in the collar of her man's flannel shirt after he's gone. This scent is wonderfully powerful and complex-- not minimalist and transparent, like other CdG scents-- and as such is probably best worn in Autumn and Winter. I love this addictive number.

★★★★★ Comme Des Garcons is a brand that always takes extra care in their concept. We live in times when thoughtless fast production and consumption dominate, therefore brands that take time and focus on each release are an absolute oasis in the current designer perfume market. Copper starts off with an extra shot of galbanum, a metallic haze that sometimes smells like wet asphalt. This vibe will fade over time but will always be there and it's what makes this composition modern and unique. Copper starts turning into a honeyed tobacco scent, reminiscing masculines of the past. Imagine a high quality rich tobacco paired with the metallic galbanum. The base of this scent wraps you with a blanket of amber and vanilla, adding warmth to the cold modernity of the galbanum. Copper is clever, uniting the masculine tobacco vibe of the past with the more abstract contemporary metallic facets. These are the compositions that move perfumery forward. Stunning.

Ordered a bunch of CDG samples and Copper absolutely blew me away. Yes, the galbanum opening is very overpowering, but it calms down in just ten minutes or so. I do think the name Copper fits it nicely - it's metallic, fizzy and rusty, ozoney and very very fresh. And undeniably green. It makes me think of some kind of overgrown abandoned industrial area, full of rust. But in a crisp and cool way, not old or pungent. After about 6 hours it goes through a switch - from sharp and fresh to something more warm and comforting. The galbanum and metallic notes fade, and the vanilla and tobacco come forth. I love this transition - from refreshing and energising in the morning to soothing and comforting in the afternoon. I'm going to play around with the other samples for a while, but I'm pretty sure it will be Copper that I order a full bottle of in the future.

This is probably my favourite perfume. I've had my bottle 2+ years. At first I didn't wear it often, but as I've worn it more it's only made me want to wear it even more. Most other things I like to wear edge darker - more birch tarry but there's something about Copper that comforts and envelopes me. Opens with a huge blast of spicy, peppery, gingery, carrot. It has an edge of shrillness that hints at metal - which I guess gives it its name - but for me it isn't really metallic at all. Pretty linear through it's long life - at least 8 hours close to the skin - with ginger and warm woody tones producing a wonderful trail. Maybe not one people will compliment you for often, but for me something I could sit smelling, on myself and others, all day. Unusual, intoxicating and fabulous!!

This one is really hard to describe, much like many of the CDG fragrances. It starts with herbal greens and cool mineral notes but soon the greens fade away and round up to this earthy-smoky amber cloud with unsweetened vanilla undertone, definitely tobacco leaf as well. It really does give off this copper metallic feel, more like warmed up metal, not the cold sharp one. It's very dry but warm. Natural and and futuristic at the same time. Definitely unisex or even a tad masculine (still arbitrary). I don't think this would be a crazy complement getter, it's more like a fragrance that a confident modern person would wear for their own comfort and self expression. Modern and different yet not too strange or in any way repulsive or polarizing. A strong like from me.

From reading the reviews, I expected something between horrifying and mildly pleasant. I got brilliant instead. I’ve never experienced a perfume change so drastically from opening to drydown as this does. It’s jarring, impossible. At first, it’s so green, almost alarming how piercingly green it is-bold, bitter. Just when you think you can bear the intensity no longer, the shocking metamorphosis begins. Something quite alluring, somewhat milky, or creamy even, emerges. The drydown is a superb tobacco with mild vanilla. It’s still cut with enough residual bitterness that it never gets very sweet. How did it get from A to B? I have no idea. What a journey! This is art. If you like tobacco fragrances put this on your sample list.

This one is cool, and unique, and I really can't say enough good things about it. Definitely a skin scent but lasts surprisingly long. I ran 13 miles yesterday with it on and could still smell it after, which is unusual. As for the fragrance itself, at first it's kind of like if you picked random plants from the side of the road and left them in your father's dresser drawer for a few weeks. After a bit, it brightens up to an almost citrus-y, bright, and metallic smell. Really like this one, I don't pick up as much tobacco as others do, but it's there in the background.

This scent so beautiful and sexy. If you like oriental fragrances with a salty note this is a must have. This is unisex but a man wearing this would be delicious!!! I do get the copper note but it smells like freshly minted pennies not the kind you find on the ground. The myrrh is pretty prominent on my skin so it sort of goes Middle Eastern on the dry down for sure and the metallic notes begin to disappear after a few hours. This scent projects like crazy. I just do one spray on my right ear and still get compliments. To me this scent is a unique without being weird.

Truly a piece of contemporary art. It's somehow perfectly copper and not copper at all. Opens with a sharp galbanum note and dries down to a wonderfully synchronous mix of green, metallic, and vanilla notes. It shouldn't work but it works so well; it's surprisingly wearable for something so avant garde. No idea why so many people have rated this as a fall or winter wear though, this is fully spring/summer to me. I only ordered a sample size but the actual bottle is so beautiful as well. This is so perfectly CDG to me and really epitomizes the house.

The first time I tried it I was horrified, almost wanted to scrub it off, but also kept coming back to it. Confrontational but alluring. I don’t get copper or metallic, it hits with a wall of tobacco and milkweed, then evolves into a gentle, cosy sweetness that reminds me of violin rosin. Obsessed with this, it’s a trip in a bottle - put it on and ride it out. A scent to wear outdoors in wild places and a coffee-shop afterwards. I keep forgetting I have it on, and getting whiffs of it hours later, it’s comforting and intriguing and I love it.

this one is very special to me cause it reminds me of my childhood somehow. it kinda smells like my grendparent's car used to smell in my childhood when we used to go for a roadtrip to the south of our country. unfortunately since like 10y.o i haven't been able to feel that scent cause they changed that car. but how amazed I was when first tried this one on my skin... it just shooted me to the depth of my memories into the time when the grass was greener, sun was brighter and the sky was clear as a tear. i simply love this one

Opens with a strong green vegetal note, like sort of reminds me of artichoke or green beans, as well as something metallic. I can't say that is terribly pleasant. A strange novelty I guess. After a few minutes, the sweet amber comes forward and the tobacco. It becomes warm, sweet, spicy/peppery, and powdery. It reminds me very much of a root beer float. This is delicious, warming, and cozy. I'd say after the opening, this is pretty safe. Perfect for colder months, nighttime, or a date. It's sexy and sure to please the senses.

This is my #1 fragrance of all time. Opens with a slight metallic, earthy, and clay-ish smell, the clay accord tones down and you can smell this sweet minty scent which reminds me of powdery spearmint gum strips. I can pick up a slight tobacco scent, reminds me of an unlit cigarette. This is my favorite weird fragrance, cause it is not a putrid type of weird, more so an interesting type of weird, if I had some money laying around, I would buy at least 3 bottles to last me a lifetime, that's how much I love it!

Wow - really does smell like copper! What a comeback after the disappointment that was Yoyogi. Blind bought it the instant it was available - common feel and base like Amazingreen and to a degree Blue Santal. Red, metallic, dirt. Amazingly cooling and refreshing - quite a lovely and inoffensive scent - I can think a lot of people recoiling at first then going - hmm - works well. Unique in its own right. Only thing previously that came close was Copper Skies. This smells like copper if it was a perfume...

I was in love with this as soon as I smelled the opening. It's absolutely addictive. Not at all surprised to see other people mentioning that it smells like a car in various descriptions. It reminds me of a specific rental car we had on vacation in Florida to go to Disney when I was a kid. A very clean car with an air freshener and the AC on, that's probably been smoked in a few times, before being thoroughly scrubbed--in the best, most nostalgic way. It's definitely a unique scent.

Please, please, please be good. I love Comme des Garcons even at their low points they are innovative and seemingly creating stuff that has been beamed back in time from some dystopian future. A dark echo. A warning that people (or symbiotic cyborgs organisms?) are going to smell like plastic and wet cement.I can't wait frankly! Yeah I love CdG but the last couple have left me cold, Blackpepper and Concrete...I really hope Copper is something I'm compelled to acquire.

I really enjoy the opening blast of carrots picked by the leaves straight out of the ground. It dries down instantly on me, to warm, just sweet enough coziness with a hint of tobbaco. I find the metallic note barely present, just enough to keep the whole thing not generic. Don't get any pepper or ginger. Get compliments when hugged. Bonus - one obssesed male gay friend.

Take a beautiful modern tobacco scent (something like Tobacco Vanille or Al Haramain Tobacco), and infuse it with the fresh cigarette smoke note of classics like Quorom or Havana. Oh, and add an arresting green galbanum opening and a lingering dark berry nuance throughout. That is CDG Copper. Brilliant perfumery by my favorite nose Alienor Massenet.

Another lovely fragrance from CDG! It starts with a strong (but too short) green blast and then quickly transforms into a sweeter more powdery scent, with a very pleasant amber-vanilla combination coming through. As with all the best CDGs I've tried, there are lots of avant garde treats in there as well - the metally tone works well.

i don't really get any metallic notes to be honest, it's a really pleasing fragrance and smells a bit like antique wood, like my grandfather's house from when i was really young. it smells a lot like coca-cola upon opening, and that's something i like so i quite enjoy this fragrance. it isn't polarizing or unsafe to my nose.

This.... Is copper. It’s exactly how I imagine pure Copper would smell. It’s hard to describe. As for a comparison to other fragrances by CDG at least, this fragrance smells like a less sweet Amazingreen to me. A great counterbalance to have in your collection. Been rocking this since it came out.

My favourite fragrance from Comme des Garçons. It’s a vanilla scent that isn’t too sweet. 10/10. It doesn’t give me the impression of copper. It smells like an old wooden shed.

Fresh carrot juice.I dont understand how that harsh notes could possibly smell like fresh fragrance.

This is incredible. One of the best perfumes from cdg. Rich, deep, complex. One of a kind.

Seeking copper, found carrots.

I was very excited to try my favorite house's latest release today. And I was not disappointed. Copper is a great interpretation of how copper would smell. To me the association was in an instant during the opening minutes: "smell of hot iron in steam mode!" I got nuances of mastic gum as well from that green herbal galbanum overdose (getting the same mastic nuances from CdG Concrete). Galbanum and tobacco accord are main players throughout the life of the scent, and i find it a bit synthetic - which is definitely not a problem for me. I actually like it. Tobacco accord accompanied by slight hints of vanilla and amber. Though I loved this scent, I did not find it truly unique. I am 100% sure I smelled something(s) very similar to Copper, still trying to figure out what it was. (p.s. It's not Tobacco Vanille or Grand Soir.) Performance was okay like you would expect from most CdG frags, not bad, not nuclear, but it's there and comes and goes - I can still get an arms length projection from my wrist after 4 hours. The price was 140 euros so I did not get a full bottle. I think it's not worth the current tag, but we'll see in time how it goes.

Interestingly, more industrial than Concrete, Copper opens with a shocking burst of stale cigarette ash and spicy galbanum, this powerful, dirty green accord is immediately reminiscent of Lush/Gorilla's "ode to urban paranoia" The Bug. However, as the top notes start to evolve, time seems to reverse: if the opening was being hit by a truck, we then go backwards into the events of the day, leading up to the collision. Slowly, the stale cigarette ash becomes fresh tobacco leaves. The green sweetens, picking up hints of vanilla and myrrh that combine into almost a root beer note; the spiciness of the pepper eases into the aromatics of ginger, and things start feeling a little more human again. And yet, the metal is never far behind. With the excitement, boldness and "take-no-prisoners" unforgiving attitude of the biggest of the big cities, Copper is a fragrance that absolutely delivers on, and beyond, its name.

The Opening is both shocking and surprising. a green splash in your face ... but then comes the drydown and the fragrance evolves into powdery ,warm, comforting sensations. An aromatic wood fire with Pepper . Slightly sweet yet woody and spicy .... VERY dry. More Male in my opinion . An independent character. Elegant . Interesting- without being Intrusive . Good projection/Sillage and + 6 hours longevity. Daytime and evenings . An all a rounder in my opinion. Special ...as expected from CdG and thus ....it stands out . I had a 1.5ml sampler and then ordered a full Bottle. A blind buy ? No . Its either Love at first sight or with repeated uses one learns to appreciate its uniqueness . What it is not - is an outright rejection . .......With CdG one must have an open mind and be willing to experiment.

This has the most aggressive neon green peppery opening I've ever smelt. I had a sample card and I could still smell that part coming from inside my pocket. I really can't get behind that part as I find it too pungent, but I can see how some people might actually enjoy it. The part I really enjoy is when the opening starts to fade, and the amber/tobacco/vanilla part starts coming out, tainted by a metallic note and the leftover pepperiness, which creates a very unique scent that distinguishes itself from other popular amber tobacco scents on the market. This could easily work year-round and the longevity and sillage is STRONG. If you're a fan of green scents and can pull-off the opening this could be signature worthy for some people as it strikes a good balance between unique and "people-pleasing".

I have put this down as a love but it's more between a love and a like. It goes incredibly smoky on me and it's so strong and long lasting that as much as I love it, I would like it to lose a bit of strength by about the 6 hour mark. I've never had a fragrance be this way but I do sometimes find it overbearing due to it's nuclear performance. For this reason, I think the price point is fantastic, especially when most of us want a fragrance to last. This is definitely a fragrance I have to be in the mood to wear, I almost have to psych myself up to wear it. I think it leans slightly more masculine and could easily see this on a free spirited biker dude, wearing dark shades, hair blowing in the wind, lookin like a hunk a hunk of burning love 😍😍 Lord Almighty, I feel my temperature rising 🎵🎶🥰🥰

Unlike anything I’ve smelled. This one grew on me despite how strange it is; however, I couldn’t pull it off as a personal fragrance. I would describe it as unisex, although would rather smell on a woman. There is a metallic vibe as expected, but not in the way I’d normally think of it in fragrance. It’s a semi sweet gourmand, with that metallic note blended in. It is in fact pretty balanced, and I give praise for its uniqueness, but prefer my other CDG fragrances as actual wears. Great in terms of performance and projection. Fairly linear. Not blind buy worthy, but swap worthy if there’s one you’ve already decided you won’t wear anyways. More pricy than my other CDV fragrances, but shouldn’t be.

A blast of earthy herbs on opening with green minty aspects. Something sweeter emerges during the drydown, vanilla and a licorice-like note, perhaps elemi. There's a faint hint of a warm powdery cinnamon note, like vintage Crabtree sandalwood. I experience a lot of dissonance, which gives the energetic impression of a copper color in the drydown. It's a fairly soft fragrance with close silage. It also connveys a natural impression both in materials and vibe. A couple with sun-kissed skin sit on stones watching the sunset in New Mexico... In the end a mysterious fruity note appears. Blackcurrant perhaps?

Interesting, avant-garde, yet pleasant and comforting. It beautifully blends seemingly incompatible notes into a cohesive scent. It opens with a slightly bitter, metallic edge (which is, unfortunately, lost too quickly) alongside prominent galbanum and tobacco leaf. As it develops, it transforms into a warmer, sweeter, and deeply powdery scent. It smells like many different things depending on what you focus on at the moment: copper cookware, medicinal mountain herbs, makeup powder, or dry chocolate shavings. 7.5/10

Copper opens with green notes and immediately reminds me of Must de Cartier before it's reformulation. Same galbanum bittersweet freshness, same delicate spiciness and same ambery vanilla drydown. It develops in a similar way, even if it's different. I never expected something reminding me of Cartier oriental classic from Comme des Garcons, but I can say they reinvented this powerhouse of 80's in a very modern, young-spirited and sophisticated way. Absolutely worth trying!

Very green up top, but changes completely, and becomes a modern tobacco scent. It's cosy, slightly powdery with an ozonic type of freshness, probably because of the violet leaf. After 2 hours or so, the freshness disappears and what's left is an amber-tobacco combo. Very interesting tbh, but unfortunately, I never been into soft or sweet tobacco scents; I prefer something smokey. Lasts very well. Below average projection.

Opening is so unbelievably metallic it singes your nose hairs. The Geranium and black currant smells like freshly dug up dirt. Dries down into an absolutely sexy and alluring sweet tobacco and vanilla scent with the tinge of photorealistic copper. 9.6/10. Longevity is great, sillage is great and projection is reasonably good. Give this one a chance, wear it a couple of times to form an opinion. At first smell, it's ROUGH.

I coudn;t pin what it reminded me of, and indeed, it's Memo Italian Leather! The impression of copper is also similar to Trussardi L'Uomo (galbanum/tomato leaf). Of these three, CdG Copper is certainly the most accomplished. Had low expectations, but pleasantly surprised, even if not full bottle worthy for me. I have to give it to CdG: they are consistent in their originality!

This is the kind of scent that I love in perfumery. Bordering on the hate/love line. Unique and interesting. It smells like metal, and you’d think, why would anyone want to smell like metal? But it’s moreish. On my boyfriend it was divine and everyone had the same reaction... I think I hate it... but I think I love it? Such a cool scent

Its surprisingly wearable and my dad likes it a lot, on me it smells like you would dip copper coins in vanilla and tobacco heavy fregrence like la male elixir, it lasts round 7-9 hours, def not a safe blind buy, im two 10 ml tester bottles deep and im liking it more and more 8/10 It dosent get as much complements as concrete does

Smells like an old orthodox church. Cold aromatic, complex, very gothic and atmospheric. Interesting to experience but not exactly wearable, even for me. The sharpness doesn't carry over into the drydown but said drydown is quite faint. It is barely detectable nose-to-skin after a couple of hours so the 9ml is enough for me

Smells like a transit station. Crushed chemically treated grass, cigarette smoke both fresh and stale, the mineral smell of cement and big machines. There's sweetness in the base, but with the cigarette's sour ashes all over it. Good composition but not what I want to smell like.

the initial spray smells very earthy and metallic but then dries down very synthetically sweet. I kind of smell licorice on me even though it's not listed as a note? I love it but I don't think that I would buy it for myself (was given to me as a gift)

I expected something polarizing, slightly off. What I got was a nice dry ambery vanilla, with metallic violet and tobacco undertones. Nice isn't a word that I imagined to describe this before, but it is. Nice, comfortable, safe almost.

it does its job perfectly, im not too interested by smelling like copper to begin with, but if you do ? then you should get it immediately and it has some depth too its not just "metal" it filled my entired room off only one spray lol
