Loyal to Gaultier since Le Male, I tore myself away after finishing up the last Lush Death and Decay going into fall, feeling another heavy floral inappropriate for the season. Expecting a lot, first impression was disappointment, generic sporty shower gel scent erased moments later when the hot smell of lighting up hit me. Genius!! How this scent was captured is phenomenal. I kept smelling my wrist expectantly and whilst reflecting an unwise blind buy thought, "I smell pot!!". lol That's how it is. The silage smacks you catching you unawares each time. I feel it's a more sophisticated grown up scent than the overpowering teeny Gaultier I know and love. And, whilst it's undeniably marihuana would be comfortable wearing at work or in corporate setting as it's projection isn't huge and so very inoffensive.

Very interesting perfume which opens up with strong spicy pepper and slowly transfers into very adventurous smell with cannabis and somewhat leathery notes. This fragrance, as said below, is the ultimate perfume for every ocassion, as it is very polite yet sensual. My girlfriend loves this perfume since the day i bought it, and because I love cannabis notes in perfumes (and in cannabis itself), this was a must. Be prepared that this is not your typical perfume and lots of people will be asking than complimenting. Also, as mentioned below it is not office friendly :)

..just like liquid Heaven : ) Starting with a forceful peppery Cumin blast. As the spicy vibe cools a bit down, vivid herbal Cannabis sneaks in with a quite prominent Palo Santo. Keeping up with amazingly blended, lightly smoky woody quality. Retaining its strength for a pretty long time. Nice resinous green oriental warm character with a brilliant perky humor.. ; ) Totally unisexy scent for all occasion. The minimal Vial is ubercool with a funky magnetic cap. Pleasantly surprising perfume - BRAVO again CDG!!!

This is very CDG and very lemon haze. It starts out smelling like a sauna infusion but very quickly becomes the scent of smoked weed that lingers in your room, so you light a nice scented candle to make it less noticeable. And though it’s not listed it does smell like imortelle to me which adds a dankness. Bitter, provocative, incredible. This will stay in the middle notes loooong. Perfect for the days when I want to get noticed, be reminded of my pot head days and feel like a rebel. Help me I’m 30!

Sweet Ganja Gods, this is magically delicious! The cannabis note in here is very photorealistic, but not overpowering. It's very noticeable on initial spray, but quickly blends with the cumin, black pepper, mate and patchouli to soften the dankness. The guaiac wood gives it a slightly powdery and smoky touch, while the frankincense adds just enough sweetness to stop it from smelling like a straight up bag of weed. Of all the cannabis scents on the market, this one is truly something special.

As others have remarked, this does not smell like cannabis burning. Smells more like the fresh plant as I imagine it with a bit of resin and patchouli, and other herbaceous notes underneath. Definitely get the cumin, peppery hit at first, too. There is a BO quality to it which... I'm into tbh. I gotta say I love it and I while I agree I probably wouldn't wear this to a corporate job, I don't think it's entirely offensive.

This is a lovely, addictive cannabis themed scent! Very green, somewhat woody and smoky, not earthy at all. It is extremely green and slightly spicy at the top, then it quickly dries down into a minty, bitter herbal tea scent that lasts for hours. My friends and I agree that it smells like drug dregs of Chinese herbal medicine, very cold and bitter but pleasant and calming at the same time.

Its medicinal, its chemical, its tincturish, its Swedish polar circle, I wouldnt can say fku with a perfume better. The cannabis is minor, its much more logo - rebellious and even braking the law. People around you can get mad just off the idea of the fragrance.

Smokey woody marijuana that dries down to a soft, fluffy cedarwood. Love it!

As someone who dislikes the smell of marihuana as it's being smoked but not the smell of the herb itself, this one took me by surprise. Mainly because it smells like the leaves and not the smoke. Herbaceous, peppery, and smelling like a bag of the magic dragon. The opening is quite harsh, but the dry down it mellows out and becomes smoother, always with that cannabis leaf smell. I've tried Hindu Kush and Black Afghano, out of the three, this one has the least frills. Straight up herby weed. Just a minuscule amount of smoke, but more leaf than drug this is. Not office friendly, unless your office is cool with getting high on the job.

A decent recreation of a cannabis bud, specifically from a strain with dominant terpenes of caryophyllene (black peppery) and pinene (green, tree sappy). There’s also a pronounced cumin at opening, which doesn’t really fit the theme ... luckily the note isn’t so BO/sweaty, just a bit too foody at first. Overall a nice green/aromatic/peppery scent, and a good deconstruction of these elements of cannabis - but it’s not gonna get you pulled over for smelling like weed. The idea is similar to the Kush scents from Boy Smells (Italian Kush in particular). Ganja is just lacking a bit of ‘oomph’ so I’d rate the Boy Smells a bit higher.

I don't smoke but I knew how the smoke smells like and how the fresh I mean just picked leaves and flowers smells like. This thing is the best ever perfume smells like Marijuana. From the top notes to the base it take you in a trip where it start with nice fresh leafy green cannabis and end up smokey resemble the story of rolling your joint and then lighting it up and smoking it. Rating 8/10 Not versatile, you can't wear this to work or school. Maybe you can only wear this to parties but WTF it already smells like that in parties. I find it difficult to find a place where I can wear this.

Everything in here clicks. The presentation, the mission, and the scent itself, everything is as it should be. Industrial packaging, low price point, urban and modern presentation of the bottle slightly leaning towards a spray paint can design wise. This is a pocket green oasis, for when You're tired of Your first world urban deadline and target filled life. Herbaceous, ethereal, intoxicating. A must try for cannabis enthusiasts, and all the green lovers! A great modern fougere.

mmmm delicious.... i just LOVE the smell of fresh bud, and this def has that dankness, but a lot of other things are going on too. there's a spicy and herbaceous smell on top of the heavy patchouli and woods in the base. eventually (and sadly) it ends up smelling like sweaty armpit + grass on me which is why i cannot wear this lol, but i think it would be stunning on someone else

I will definitely try this more but 2 tests (different days) and without being influenced by the notes I get heavy sage and linden notes from Ganja the most. Opening has an artificial (sweet fruity) grapefruit vibe. Surely vegetal, green and a bit musty. Does not smell like cannabis, which I believe not trying to either. For green herbal aromatic lovers this could be “it”.

Sharp green opening. Like when you snap a bit off from Cyprus tree and crush the stem in your hand. Or when you snap a bit of fresh rosemary and also crush it in your hand. Can smell some hemp stems and regular flower from it. The dry down is herbaceous, spicy with cumin, and slightly Smokey.

Ganja is unapologetically visceral - it’s got a confrontational opening of acrid, almost offensive skunkiness 🦨 that feels dirty in a dry, earthy way rather than musky or animalic. It’s veeery unique, veeery avant-garde, artistic and very niche. You’ll either love it or hate it. It’s bold, raw, and refuses to play nice, and it utterly challenges the wearer with its unapologetic intensity. Beneath its pungent opening lies an unexpected brilliance: crisp mint and zesty undertones emerge, infusing a refreshingly and much needed green quality that cuts through the robust heaviness of cannabis. This contrast not only amplifies Ganja’s intricate complexity but also establishes a much-needed equilibrium. The outcome is an interplay of elements that feels both deliberately sophisticated and intriguingly unpredictable. As it dries down, and after 2-3 hours or so, “Ganja” begins to soften and starts to transform into a sweet, almost powdery, sugary scent- which lingers in a way that feels very intimate. Again, word of caution 🚨: this is not a fragrance for the faint of heart or for public adoration. Unfortunately, many find it too strong, even unpleasant—when I wear it, some even go as far as to tell me it smells straight up offensive 😄 - and, I mean, I get it. I, of course, find this fragrance utterly irresistible - it’s just that due to some people’s objections whenever I wear it- I chose to wear it almost ritualistically - on my own, around my house, for myself. So definitely not office safe. For those of us who understand its artistry, it’s addictive and deeply personal. I get why Ganja is so polarizing and why it’s one of those love-it-or-hate-it uber niche fragrances. If I had to compare it to another fragrance- it would be Tom Ford’s discontinued Noir Anthracite- despite Anthracite not listing cannabis as one of it primary notes, and sans the pepper and galbanum notes. Do not blind buy! 10/10

As a certified ganja enthusiast, I'm finding that this fragrance does not smell like cannabis at all, but reminds me of places and events that are weed-adjacent. In the heady opening I get a lot of herby-seedy components like cumin, coriander, celery seed, black pepper, and carrot seed. On me it settles into a smoky, aromatic-seedy patchouli that reminds me of stale head shop, but not in a bad way. The kind where you had to say "water pipe" instead of "bong" or you might've gotten kicked out. In the back room of the shop, or maybe around the corner, someone is just finishing a joint, so the ashy wafts are just getting here. But again, I'm not getting anything that points to marijuana itself - no terps, no limonene, no pinene, no diesel. Just themes and ~vibes~: herby spices, patchouli-soaked tie-dye clothing, light wafts of ashy smoke, good times with stinky friends. Kind of reminds me of music festivals. As I got deeper, I was surprised to like this. I generally do not enjoy patchouli, especially if it's a strong component in the fragrance; here I think the herby-seediness keeps it interesting and even makes it addictive. But I don't think I'll need more than the sample I have... I can stop anytime.... Update: hated it on my husband. I think his skin amplifies patchouli 😩

I used to be a hardcore stoner, nowadays that lifestyle is not for me anymore. That to say, I KNOW what "ganja" smells like lol. This fragrance is very unique and does have a weed smell to it. I would not say photorealistic as some have mentioned; however, this does give off a rich person who smokes type of vibe. Like an edgy rapper I would say; I can definitely see someone like ASAP Rocky or someone of the like smelling like this. I appreciate this scent for what it is just not particularly for myself. It's a little too green for me which I never thought I'd say. I can't pinpoint what it is in this that I'm not really a fan of but there's something that I do not like. All that said, this fragrance is high quality and would definitely be enjoyable to someone looking for a cannabis fragrance. The initial thought I get from smelling this is someone who just smoked weed walking through the lobby of a Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental; fancy people, smoking fancy weed, walking through a fancy hotel. The packaging for this fragrance is very cool and the bottle is also very high quality and the magnetic cap is a lovely touch. Overall, a great scent for someone specifically looking for this type of thing I don't think you could be happier. Just not for me:)

I had high hopes for this scent that were perhaps misguided. I saw the review below noting the tragic lack of terps* and stickiness and should have listened. Like a fool, I brushed off their warnings and I find myself disappointed. I wanted it to give two gram reclaim dab and coughing so hard you burst a blood vessel in your eye but instead I got... mate and like a splash of Aperol that eventually dried down to a kind of fresh spice cologne that I imagine a cannabis entrepreneur bro would wear to an industry networking event. Despite these harsh words I don't hate it. It's ok. But I don't imagine myself reaching for it again anytime soon. *a former budtender recently told me that they, as an industry, are making an effort to move away from this term and instead use "penes," but I don't know if they said that just so I'll embarrass myself in the future by being like man nothing i love more than some good penes in me right guys

Fresh green cannabis buds have an amazing and intoxicating smell. This perfume is not it. It reminds me of cannabis but more like in a coffee shop in Amsterdam. The opening is way too strong for me and artificial green. I do smell the mate at all times and on my skin it has very mellow patchouli dry down. Do not blind buy this like I did, sample first! I thought I’d love it based on the composition but unfortunately I don’t. It’s ok and wearable but nothing really special or memorable. I m sure there are better cannabis perfumes out there.

Doesn't smell like how you are thinking, but perhaps cannabis stems or the plant itself not the flower, but maybe if so, it would be some very weak or low quality flower at the very very most. Also smells pungent of a spicy pepper, maybe bell pepper or jalapeno. Imagine you bit a crunchy raw hot pepper but without the spiciness afterward. Its not a bad smell but not one I could see anyone wearing, its way too vegetal.

I’d say this smells like hemp, not weed. Maybe it smells like cbd weed or really stale shwag idk. Annoys me by itself but i layer it sometimes

Imagine you picked up an ashtray you found in a dirty alley way. Not sure who this is for and i love weed more than snoop dogg. It was so bad the employee didn’t even list among his known weed fragrances and it’s called Ganja....

so it doesn't smell like weed that's being actively smoked, rather it smells like when you just bought weed from your neighborhood guy and open the little smell-proof pouch for the first time. this is a lot sweeter than i was expecting but i don't know why i wasn't expecting that because unburnt weed DOES smell sweet. it's pretty strong and lingering too in my opinion and i only sprayed it into the air. i wouldn't pay full price for it and got a good deal second-hand, but if you are a stoner and love CDG already, why not?

This one smells incredible, reminds me of when I used to go to my friends old house. His dad pretty much lived with his mom (my friends grandma) and would have a very trashy garage with a trashy setup of an Xbox One S, we would smoke weed and this takes me right back to those late nights talking about anything. Really good memories. This cologne opens with a very pungent cannabis smell, it’s almost like the bud is right in ur face, and then it mellows out into this woody, plant like scent. Good stuff.

On blotter and clothing this is an acrid, sour, spicy mess, but it smells beautiful on skin. It reminds me of how the old-school, college-town, hippy food co-ops I grew up around smelled, where the bulk spice section would mix with the sweaty patchouli oil of the staff. I’ve been complimented twice by strangers on this, which surprised me.

When people seek for a tobacco fragrance, they usually look for the pipe tobacco and not lit cigarettes. This is the case with Ganja - it takes the best facet of marijuana plant and emphasize its botanical aspect. Fresh cannabis, unlit incense resins and smoky-minty mate. Most convincing and wearable cannabis fragrance I've tried so far.

Not exactly fresh bud scent but more reminiscent of terpenes found naturally in pepper, cumin, pine, etc. A beautiful weed-adjacent, tea, and patchouli blend. Not a dirty patchouli, this is a fresh and uplifting aromatic one. Really fun one from cgd! Edit: ended up getting a bottle

Smells like a roasted joint to me. I sprayed in a tester strip in a perfume store and put it in the pocket of my jacket. The day after at the office one of my colleagues asked me if I smoked something funny before getting to the office.

acrid weed scent. the cumin surprisingly doesn't give this a B.O. edge like i feel like it's prone to do. it just adds a sharpness. i tend to like herbal cannabis notes, but this is just straight weed really.

By far the best cannabis fragrance I've tried. Dried cannabis, spices & tea leaves. It's damp, green & earthy yet also spicy, dry & medicinal.
