Stüssy Laguna Beach

it's a hot, sunny day at the beach to the point where the heat is causing distortions in the air. you're swimming in the cool water, and as you poke your head out of the sea, you feel the warmth of the sun start to radiate throughout your wet hair. a warm breeze sweeps through, peppering you with a light spray of sand. I definitely get the sunscreen-esque smell that some people mention but it is rather pleasant. Fresh, clean, salty, aquatic, very reminiscent of the sea. If Megamare is representative of the deep, dark ocean, this is more akin to pictures of crystal-clear turquoise waters in the Caribbeans or maybe the Maldives. Alternatively, it smells exactly like how a cold, 2L bottle of Pocari Sweat from an H-Mart tastes, and I love it. Perfect for warm weather, I'd imagine this would layer well with Sea Salt & Wood Sage.

I LOVE beach scents with sea and solar notes, so I was ready to pull the trigger the second this one dropped. And WOW am I glad I did. Stussy Laguna Beach is absolutely beautiful. The unisex balance is intriguing. Upon first spray, I felt it leaned just a tiny bit masculine as many of these types of scents do. But mere minutes later, as it settles on my skin, the florals blossom, and now I think it leans a little bit feminine. I suspect that this fragrance will develop a bit differently on everyone and work well on most, unless this type of fragrance just isn't your cuppa. But I am smitten, and as I sit here snowed in in CT, I keep huffing my arm to get my hot weather fix. Salt water, and sun, and wood, and flowers are simple ingredients, but when done well like this, they are endless summer brought to life.

I get a strong liquorice smell off of this in the opening. It still sort of remains in the dry down as well particularly on clothes. It’s not unpleasant though just different to what I’ve smelt before. It’s an interesting scent, doesn’t really invoke a California beach at all to me though. Maybe more so Santa Monica pier with the slight smell of saltiness mixed with that odd sweet candy smell.

Great to see this brought back to life after being discontinued for so many years. Probably the only aquatic scent that doesn't over do it in terms of saltiness. You get a fresh open air feel that lasts and works well with a clean white T. Definitely safe blind buy and perfect for spring, summer and during the days.

It might be a safe scent but it has some nice notes to it, I really like this a lot. It reminds me of being on bay somewhere with the scent of early morning salt with a little breeze. It's shame it was so limited and I will have to cherish this bottle and use it sparingly, I give this a solid 9 out 10.

One of the safer scents in the CDG arsenal. Nothing groundbreaking but extremely pleasant. Starts off fairly aquatic and floral, and dries down to a lovely mossy cedary base with hints of sun kissed skin. Whack the heating on, climb into your budgie smugglers and chill. Easy reach stuff. I like it.

This is my favorite fragrance and I am MOURNING the loss of it. It was discontinued recently and I'm so sad. If any of you have a bottle and are willing to part with it; please message me and I will buy it off you! For real.

This fragrance creeps further up my want list the more we get into the heat of summer. It smells like Good beaches; quaint and clean private beaches that are a ways off from town, at the foot of lush, coastal California hills with their smattering of trees and wildflower overgrowth. It opens with ocean water and a hint of white flowers, then dries down into moss, cedar, and residual sea salt on sun-warmed skin. Distinctly solar. Like plainaccount said, you'll want breezy weather for the full fantasy. Performance and projection are all-around moderate on my skin, but that's fine with me since the quality is there and it doesn't boast much complexity to begin with. You could probably compare it to air freshener or something like the Method Men sea+surf personal care line, but there's just something more natural about this that I like (the progression? airiness?)

I get a lot of moss, with the marine and floral notes coming in shortly after. Marine is a better descriptive word than aquatic imo because it implies the rawness of the beach with its sand and critters. This one is good to smell in the air as it wafts through the air. Someone said it smells like a cheap wc air freshener, and I get that, but I think thats because this perfume is one to be aired out, thats where the magic happens. But even inside I enjoy wearing this so idk. The drydown is reminiscent of SM by Eldo. The longevity on skin is amazing, over 12hrs for sure, and when skin is heated from exercise it becomes stronger. I'm impressed actually. This is an excellent complimentary fragrance to a beachy, chillin on the coast lifestyle.

Glad to see this fragrance available for sale again... thought they were gone for good. 😀 I quite liked my bottle. At first whiff it smells very much like sunscreen. After thirty seconds, you can start to smell depth to the notes. There is a woody/marine note— I imagine driftwood wet with ocean saltwater. Not in a musty way... it smells very fresh. I really enjoy the scent after drydown. To me it smells like some floral notes in a fresh summer breeze. I love how it smells on my clothing. It’s fun to match this fragrance with summertime outfits. I would definitely recommend laguna beach for the summer!

an overcrowded beach in the summer. i picture reluctantly breathing in someone else's sunscreen spray left in the fishy, salty air. it's not my sunscreen spray so it feels dirty and like a violation. going to the beach is uncomfy, you smell other people's sunscreen and get sand in your hair. this is all of that plus the joy of Going To The Beach!!! maybe this is just me projecting that i hate the beach more than i love it, but i can smell sewerage too. this rocks

I am a fan! It reminds me of being on vacation, specifically wearing sunscreen as I wait in line for Pirates of the Caribbean. Great, clean, happy summer fragrance. Super safe for CDG but super wearable.

This scent at first whiff just reminds me of generic sun screen. Not bad because it really reminds me of the beach and the way he beach smells with people around. But not great because it's not something I want to smell like all the time.

this shares a note family with armani bleu turquoise and guerlain bosca vanilla that turns horrendous on me. the best way i can describe it is the worst way a custard can turn out, imagine egg white that is not white nor is it transparent, it smells like eggs and is a bit soapy. on the other hand, it's so clean and elegant on others. just didn't work out w my chemistry.

On my skin opened almost exactly how I remembered Sel Marin which reminds me of briney aquatic/marine and almost immediately overtaken by floral - fades back to marine / musky then mellows to be a nice combo of all three Personally would prefer the aquatic to be the more dominant but very nice in my opinion and will wear sparingly as sold out first day it was released on Stussy website and not on eBay just yet - will I be able to top up my stock when I run out ? Big like from me ! **to update the drydown 4 hours later IS aquatic 🤘 testament to this is my 12 yr old daughter said it smells like a beach, fishy.....the sea - superb ! I’ve read a number of reviews of aquatics as they are my fave type and there’s a lot of occasions where people get the fishy/seaweed notes and don’t like - therefore don’t blind buy would be advisable but it must depend on your skin and nose since for me I love it !

Instantly reminds me of Hollister Drift! Wouldn't expect something like this in the CdG lineup. Opens with a 90s in-your-face aquatic blast, the marine note softens but stays throughout. Masculine leaning until it settles, I find the dry down a few hours later beautiful - seawater, salt and sun on the skin (I also got some citrus, not sure where that came from though). I tried CdG Sunscreen at the same time. If Stussy is blue, cool aquatic, Sunscreen is copper and warm.

I like it, but the harsh carraway opening is hard for me to get used to.
