Wonderwood

All occassions perfection and a dry wood-bomb masterpiece from Comme des Garcons. I could write a novel praising Wonderwood...This is perhaps my 2nd all time favorite after CdG Wonderoud, so I consider both as my signature scents. A relative - though more than double the retail price - would be 27 87 - Genetic Bliss, which is more overdosed on Georgywood (Iso E Super-ish) and hints of Akigalawood for more peppery aspect. The vetiver, incense, pepper and woods on this one are just so amazing, that makes one of the best masculine woody scents ever made IMO. I do like the muted caraway lurking in the shadows, only noticeable if you side by side compare testers with a similar fragrance. Also, I do like the fruity musk that is again lurking lightly in shadows of Wonderwood. A slightly bubblegumm-fruity note. When I feel like it's too dry of a scent for my mood, mostly in crisp minus degrees in the winter, I just spray one or two sprays of Azzaro Visit or alike, and voila you have the same woody perfection with a little sweetness. Performance is very satisfying - even though some say it's underperforming - I respectfully disagree. Wonderwood might create olfactory fatigue, and especially on clothes it just stays for a week easy, the sillage is its specialty, so I directly ignore anyone claiming Wonderwood/Wonderwood's performances are bad without detailing the conditions. Are you smelling on skin and up close? Did you spray it on a friend i.e. at the office and paid attention to the trail? How many times did you test it? (Since our noses are never the same everyday, or even during the day our olfactory reception changes drastically...) For me I do know this and Wonderoud performs amazing, people can follow my trail within a large building, or they say the perfume fills up the entire hall. If you use fragrances, especially Wonderoud, you are already attacking your nose on a daily basis. Try not using this for a week (also try to avoid strong perfumes), and then come back to it...The molecules used in these fragrances are so low on odor threshold, that it really needs to evaporate and dilute in the air to be perceived properly. Overall this is a masterpiece to me, and god forbid if it is discontinued someday, I think people will consider it amongst the legends like Gucci Rush and PH 1.

This one is initially reminding me a LOT of Comme des Garçons Man 2.. I've never smelled the original GDG 2, so not sure about that one. I didn't get the Tam Dao similarity at all at first, but now kind of get a vague similarity to that, but it's really not the same. Tam Dao is more of a chocolate like sandalwood, I love Tam Dao a lot and would not say this is the same much at all but do kind of get that comparison more now. The main similarity in this and CDG Man 2 is the incense-rubbery note that it gives, in a really good way. I used to think the sound of that type of note profile sounded terrible, and still do think there are very bad concoctions out there with that profile, but CDG Man 2 is one that really changed my view of how well done that could be. The two differ a lot more after some time with dry down, but they so far seem to have enough in common that they seem like first cousins. Wonderwood is really nice and I'm glad to have it now.. I'll have to wear it a few more times to really get a better sense of how well it performs and its nuances and how much it evolves during the day if it even does, but I do like it. I plan on getting one or two more Comme des Garçons now that I have a little more experience with a few, it seems like a nice quality House to me. One last thing I've noticed so far with Wonderwood, it does not seem to have the "eternal" performance that CDG Man 2 has, but I'm having a hard time knowing how well it does perform, as I think I might be a little more nose blind to some notes in this one (admittedly another similarity to Tam Dao, I get nose blind to it sometimes). Again though, I can't say how well that observation is with only a couple of wears. **update, this actually is eternal. The only thing I’d mention that hasn’t changed is that the projection is not strong from the get-go. The sillage; however, is there for sure. I get whiffs from time to time throughout the day, and it’s been on my jacket now for like a week. Again, not strong in projection, just kind of pops up its head from time to time and is gorgeous.

There used to be a dinky little Comme des Garçons boutique in Paris 5 when I lived there in the late 1980s. The avant-garde, post-Punk designs of Rei Kawakubo (and later Junya Watanabe) made a profound impression and I’ve been a superfan ever since. A fragrance line was a natural evolution, bringing CDG’s unique style into a new aesthetic arena. Wonderwood is a powerful memory trigger that takes me back to 2012-13 when this was my default office fragrance and, for a while, signature scent. At the time I recall being utterly enamoured: a linear, terpene-rich Guaiac-cedar-sandalwood with a camphoraceous aspect imparted by cypress, a Western style “oud” note, and subtle hints of smokiness and spice. It is what its name implies: wood. In a stylish, distinctive - but utterly impractical - flacon. In addition to its eponymous wondrous woodiness, what always struck me was the dryness of Wonderwood, which is probably what defines it as being traditionally “masculine”. In hindsight Wonderwood feels somehow incomplete. But more of anything else would have made it less “woody” and more conventional, compromising the artistic vision. Very Guaiac-dominant, with a Guaiac/Palo Santo note that reminds me of Kenzo Jungle Homme, I still adore Wonderwood as it reminds of happier days, but tend not to wear it all that often now and when I do, usually layer it with a home made fond de parfum of Iso E Super, Javanol and/or Timbersilk, which greatly improves performance and longevity. And (creepily) even gets strangers sighing. Wonderwood is a bold aesthetic statement. Over the years it seems to have become a victim of its own success - much like Santal 33, but it is still a truly great Guaiac-dominant woody fragrance. Although Guaiac (like “Oud”) has become so popular as to be almost a cliché, Wonderwood still holds its own as a work of art, a concept independent from convention and tradition, that reflects Comme des Garçons style and aesthetic.

MY SIGNATURE SCENT!! This, along with Marc Jacobs Bang! are my favorite fragrances on the planet! Yes, the PLANET! Wonderwood, is an excellent fragrance for any occasion in my opinion. I wear it for casual, I wear it for dinner, I wear it out at night to social events. It's bone dry-spicy-wood and that's what I love! The opening is that of fresh cut woods, bright, clean, bright spices....that dries down to an intoxicating mixture of dry woods and spices, slightly smokey, there is subtle "freshness" in the background, but it's complemented by warm enveloping woods. This is a complex fragrance, non-linear...at final dry-down you're left with smokey-wood, and spice and it lasts all day, although this is my second bottle of Wonderwood and I definitely think they have batch variation, this one did not last as long and I purchased this from CDG itself...as I did the other one. Sillage is medium to high depending on the temperature of your body....I notice in warmer weather, this projects really well, in colder weather, you get more dryness from the wood and more sharp-freshness from the spices. This fragrance was my first niche fragrance and is what initially catapulted me into the world of fragrances, it has formed the basis for what I like in almost all fragrances and I always reflect back on it when I compare other fragrances. To me....the closest comparisons to this would be Marc Jacobs Bang, CDG Wonderoud (almost identical, with a bit more rich Oud note), Creed Spice and Wood (although softer and brighter due to the apple and other green notes). Also...this is a bad comparison, but there are elements in Montale Dark Aoud that are similar to Wonderwood...but I can't stand Dark Aoud....so I don't want to directly compare them. If you're looking for dry, woody fragrance that won't have you smelling like a lumberjack, then this is your scent! It's been mine and I will always love it.

Reading some of the reviews I am honestly shocked at people claiming such poor performance/longevity, as this stuff is nuclear to my nose. And it is one of the extreme rare fragrances that people I worked with actually noticed and commentated on because it was so strong (and I had applied lightly too). 1-2 sprays even under clothes for me will project heavily for 5-6 hours with a monster sillage, and will be quite noticeable for at least 20-24 hours on skin. I think that is due to the heavy use of Javanol (one type of synthetic Sandalwood), which is one of those fragrance molecules that many people seem to be asnomic to. Similar to Iso E Super in Molecule 01 (or more accurately, Iso Gamma Super), some people can smell it very clearly, while others cannot smell it at all. Some people claim absurd strength, while others claim to be ripped off with lightly scented alcohol that fades in minuets. Even Molecule 04, which is pure Javanol, some people just cannot smell it very well or at all, and think they got ripped off. But for me it is one of the strongest fragrances I own. I am one of the people that can smell both molecules very easily, but Javanol is simply INSANELY strong to my nose. Just doing one spray of Wonderwood or even Molecule 04, and that scent will linger on for days if not weeks on clothes (I can even smell it on clothing after being washed, multiple times). And off skin, it will fill rooms and large areas of buildings effortlessly with the sillage. Wonderwood heavily utilizes Javanol, so if you are asnomic to that molecule (wholly or partly), then this would probably seem like a very poor performing fragrance to your nose or other noses that are also asnomic to it. But believe me, people who can smell that molecule will be almost overwhelmed by it's powerful scent even if applied very lightly.

This is a perfect replacement for one of my favorite scents bowhanti by the Body Shop The opening is black pepper sandalwood cypress and a very very strong spicy wood scent The middle note is very expensive smelling good and almost like Kashmir The bass note is musk with white wooods This is an absolute unisex scent. The perfect power scent for women who are strong bold and confident. Also suitable for women on dates as very dynamic and sensual kind of sexy smell. I have long time been a fan of the spicy smells like opium and cinebar and I would say this fragrance is less resonous and has less Amber and vanilla then the base notes in opium this fragrance is a lot more spicy. This fragrance is different to cinnabar because there's less kind of food and richness to the scent. This fragrance is specifically Spice with wood in the background the spices are complex and delicious with gwackwood and cypress sandalwood but also that black pepper is noticeable . Fragrance the best suit men aged 25 plus because it's a mature spaced wood confident noticeable sensual fragrance for women I would say women of all ages but especially 30 plus because it's a very bold spicy smell . You would wear this on a day that you want people to know you are wearing fragrance. I would say it's suitable for the office suitable for dates suitable for evenings not so suitable for gentle summer days in the garden or in the park. My only concern with this fragrance is that at this particular price point is it worth it? Because there are a large number of generic spicy wood smells black pepper plus wood smells and I feel this one falls flatly into this category. It is an excellent fragrance but I'm not sure if it's sufficiently different to the others to justify the price point. Would I buy and wear it yes but not at that price point

COMME des GARÇONS Wonderwood starts off as the most fascinating, complex explosion of woods. I can smell many different layers, wearing it feels like being engulved in a big cloud of wonder and... well, woods. What a fitting name! Upon the first sniff, I got incense and pepper, I got guaiac and cedar but little to no sandalwood. At its initial stage, which lasted around 40 minutes on my skin, Wonderwood hit its strongest point. Here, it is incomparable in quality - I have not yet experienced a better woody fragrance than this. Unfortunately, as times goes by not only does the fragrance become weaker in terms of its sillage, but also gets less layered and intriguing as a whole. Two hours in, it is still a beautiful multi-wood perfume. The incense and pepper have subsided, the sandalwood gains in prominence, it gets a tad warmer. This trend continues and accelerates until at the hour-4-mark we have left but a weak, soft still-pleasant-enough sandalwood-cashmeran combo. As such, it remains about 2 hours, until I do not detect anything on my skin. In my verdict, I'm torn between a "love" and a "like". I'm opting for a "love" now for the following reasons: 1.) Usually I find woody scents nice, but boring - but not this one, the first stage is just so phenomenal 2.) The price is reasonable 3.) Wonderwood is so unisex and versatile that even mixed-sexed couples with very different occupations in my opinion could easily share it All this makes this one full-bottle-worthy and a clear recommentation for... almost everyone. Unless you want to smell super-sweet or you absolutely detest woody notes, I think one should consider a bottle of Wonderwood. It is that good. TL;DR: complex spicy wood, longevity issues, but still awesome.

I’m usually a bit particular about woody fragrances as they tend to get mixed with other scents I’m not so fond of, but this one’s insanely good. I think personally for me it’s the fact the wood scents are bolstered by spicy/peppery notes rather than fresh ones. I was given a small sample alongside a few other scents and of the lot this one caught my attention immediately. Very potent and distinctive, but also quite masculine (though others have differed on this). For me the price is a bit up there in regards to what I would normally spend on a fragrance but I kept going back and sniffing the sample bottle so much I ended up up caving and buying a bottle. I would dispute the criticism about longevity, anytime I use this I can smell it quite strongly 12+ hours later which is not as common as I’d like amongst the frags I own. And it’s not just a light scent after that time it’s still quite noticeable. Sales clerk said this one is very popular amongst guys especially younger guys, so a safe blind buy if you’re relatively masculine and you like spicy/woody scents. As some reviewers have said it definitely smells like a “hot guy” so if that’s what you’re after this is a good place to start.

Urban Lumberjack (Antoine Lie, 2010) Scentrack: Pulp – The Trees From CdG you always expected the unexpected, but there are no surprises here. Plain mixture of various woods. Am I disappointed? Not at all. Modern, urban and easy to wear masculine woody scent. As the name suggests correctly Wonderwood opens with tones of woods. Green cypress, fresh cedar accompanied by a light trail of Guaiac and sandalwood. Shadowy Iso E Super, blast of pepper and nutmeg give a dimension more to the otherwise humdrum woods. There is only a touch of incense, and I do not detected any oud. Vetiver is completely in the background, giving fresh green tonality. On my skin Wonderwood is almost linear, becoming only a bit sweeter and powdery as time goes by. Archaic by the notes, yet modern by execution. A traditional CdG synthetic scent, transparent and easy to wear. Maybe not so revolutionary, but extremely easy to love. I'm just a sucker for woods, and Wonderwood satisfied my needs for that olfactive atavism. In a very contemporary and urban manner. Rating: 8/10

Comme on guys, why are you comparing this with some Encre Noire, they are way different leagues... The calming, balsamic, extravagant, elegant, artistic , experience you get with comme des garcons it's out of this world. CdG it's not niche, it's so much better, it would reach everyone's nose and grab everyone's attention, but no one can ever comment as offensive, it's calming, it's beautiful, it's something yours, that grows beautifully together with you. It's not wearing you like niches, you're not wearing something for you like designers, it's just relationship evolving together. I have Nishanes(ani, hacivat) , wonderful Amouages(epic, memoir, reflection, dia), Ofg by initio, m. Micallef, PdM, xerjoffs,..... Lot of designers.... Some of them are my favourites ever, real class, but every time when I fed up with perfumes, when i just don't feel in mood to spray anything, i am reaching for CdG, it's a beautiful place where you can rest your senses. Wonderwood: 9/10

I really do love this fragrance, but I really wonder how some people get great performance out of this. For me it's a skin scent immediately. It doesn't seem to stick to my hair like some other fragrances do. Or maybe it does, but it's just not working for this type of scent. Longevity isn't great, a few hours. I ended up applying a lot of sprays, but it wasn't really helping. Maybe I'm just anosmic to some (of the) component(s). I remember trying this in spring and it smelled different to me then, quite strong and peppery. Now I think it smells soft and I'm getting a bit of vetiver. (I can see why people say it's sort of similar to Encre Noire á l'Extrême.) Either my ability to tell notes has evolved or changed, or the weather is bringing out different aspects. TL;DR: Loving it, but I wish it was a projection bomb instead of a soft whisper.

Wonderful fragrance, wonderful wood! It smells woody, freshly crafted wood. It's not at all rustic or rotten. It's actually Wood. As actual wood, like a freshly sawn log. A wonderful and fantastically bizarre post-modern bouquet of real and fake woods. The fragrance's base notes of Cashmeran, Javano, and Iso E Super are fleshed out by Cedarwood, Vetiver, some Patchouli, and Spices, which give the scent the cosy feel of a carpenter's workshop. I adore this distinct and interesting scent. The top notes of this scent have a distinct oiliness, but that quickly disappears as the heart and base explore all the different aspects of wood, from the bark to the complex aroma of just harvested wood, to the polished planks, to the aromatic sawdust that covers a timber mill's floors.

What a great fragrance...!! Great peppery opening and pleasantly spicy and woody throughout. Surprised that none have mentioned its close similarity with Mercedes Benz-Infinite Spicy(by Olivier Crisp) which has almost the same beautiful peppery opening and the spices though MB-IS is more powdery in its dry down. Also shares great similarity with Azzaro Visit (due to the nutmeg). Quiet unique (or rather uncommon) and not falling into the mass-pleasing/sweet or blue category. I feel Wonderwood is the best of the three. As for the Encre Noire similarity - I feel its only very remote. Maybe due to the slight hint of cedar and vetiver. Projectivity and longevity are average and similar for all the three. This is a must-have for any collector. Beautiful !!

Wonderwood smells like freshly cut, sappy wood, almost like a high-end pine body wash. It opens resinous and smooth, then settles into a soft, warm stone-like wood that feels slightly creamy and never scratchy. It leans unisex. The pine can read a bit masculine at first, but it dries down balanced and wearable. If you usually go for very feminine scents like fruity body sprays or marshmallow notes, this is still an easy entry into woods. After about an hour and a half it sits just above a skin scent. It lasts through the day without being loud. You can respray for more presence, but it stays close and won’t overwhelm. If woody fragrances tend to feel harsh or headache-inducing to you, this is a good one to try.

I love love this! I’m on my third bottle over the years. It’s probably one I will always have in my collection. It’s an easy reach for any occasion though not what I use for date nights or special events. It’s great for office. The blend is lovely. It’s a creamy, slightly sweet take on the best aromatic woods in my opinion: cedar, oud, sandalwood, vetiver. It’s not sharp or screechy like some of these wood notes can be. To me, it’s the sensual soft aspect of each. It doesn’t last long on my skin or maybe my nose just gets used to it quickly. But it really lingers on clothes in the best way. Sometimes I just spray this in my closet. It’s a delight to catch a whiff of it when I get dressed.

As usual, Cdg means conceptual art: any fragrance follows the same process as a contemporary art installation, echoing the artworks of leading figures such as Jannis Kounellis, Giuseppe Penone or Gilberto Zorio. Any "natural" element on which they focus, is extracted from its original environment, deconstructed and reinterpreted, in connection with the specific site (art galleries, former Churches or urban spaces ): the colours of "pebble bottles " as well as the notes we get from the sprayers, synthesize the elements of a large-scale installation closely related to oxygen and minerals and PVC and to the carpet and cement of which the outdoor or indoor space smells.

Very nice woody/spicy fragrance. I cannot spot notes individually but the overall is very pleasant. Seems simple in terms of structure, but such a simple enjoyment can only be achieved with a complex blend. I will confirm what others have said: it's 99% similar to Wonderoud, both in scent and performance. Only in the late drydown does Wonderoud result a bit warmer/rounder, and Wonderwood slightly dryer. But it's very likely that I would not recognize which one is which in blind test. Glad I got a bottle of this one since I wanted a back up of Wonderoud anyways (that I don't need anymore). When I first tried this (at the beginning of my journey into perfume), I had such an immediate reaction to it. I was instantly transported back to the scent of my grandmother's perfume from when I was a child. At the same time, it opens as an incensey woody fragrance, with a strong peppery note right from the start. Incense and pepper are notes I can struggle with, especially back then. But the memory surpassed any issues I had with the scent. I recently asked my grandmother what perfume she wore while I was growing up. It couldn't have been this, unless she's been traveling through time on the side. If that's the case, we have a lot of things to discuss.

This is how I imagine my future husband to smell like. The other day I walked behind a work colleague through the airport and just couldn't resist asking about the scent he's wearing. Apparently he also first smelled it on another guy, got so intrigued that he literally bought it off of him right at the moment. To me it gave off really comforting, caring, but also sensual vibes, like getting a hug from someone you love and haven't seen in a while. I'd describe it as a little bit musky even, that's why I must've felt so attracted to it. Can't speak about the longevity, but sillage is definitely there, strong enough to make a woman chase after you.

The first perfume I owned. I got it for my birthday in 2012, I think. I still like it, but don't reach for it as often. A bottle lasts long for me, as the smell stays on my skin a long time (and on my clothes even longer). Smells like wood, but not in a forest walk kind of way, because it's clearly synthetic. I love synthetic smells, so maybe this is what attracts me to it, and gives it a complexity beyond just, you know, wood. When I wear it, people always comment on it ('it smells like wood in here'), so I think the projection on me is better than on others. Clearly a fall or winter perfume, but I actually like to wear it on a summer's night.

Exactly what I've been looking for. Fresh spices, elegant Incense, luscious woods, and crisp vetiver. The best part about this fragrance is the coolness of the cypress that hovers in the background. It lingers all the way through giving the entire composition a touch of greenness. Simply fantastic. If you love Malle's Vetiver Extraordinaire you'll enjoy Wonderwood as I find them both to be quite similar. However, Wonderwood isn't as sweet, is much more spicier, and is a bit more complex with the incense and cypress. Definitely worth checking out for those into Vetiver and Woods.

Really love this fragrance, I bought the CDG discovery set since I am into woody scents lately and was curious about other ones too. I COULD have bought a full bottle, notes- wise and the smell-wise. It smells GOREOUS. But I am soooooo glad I kept my euro’s in my pocket, because this fragrance is gone in less then a few minutes. What a shame. Why am I not one of the lucky ones who claim this fragrance lasts for hours and hours ... Because it is elegant, comforting, special, perfectly unisex, a most wonderful wood scent. But on me, only for the time of one breath. BOOOOOHOOOOO

The first thing I noticed is the black pepper, which is actually quite pleasant if only because its the one time in my life its not accompanied by earthshaking sneezes. While still noticeable through the duration it gives way in about 30 minutes to the woody notes that are oh so good. The woodiness I believe is dominated by the Cedar and I did not notice much of the agarwood or sandalwood. At the very end there is just a touch of oakyness as the perfume fades completely. I love it, it makes me want to step outside into a forest. It does not last an awful long time though.

I only smelled this from a sample and yes, it's gone too quickly. But it was so lovely and creamy for a wood scent. This is the kind of woody scent I really like! Aaagh. I'm obsessed with this. The scent is so comforting and so nice. I would buy it but can't find it anywhere. Although some people suggested I get Tam Dao EDT because it's the most similar, and it IS so lovely as well, but I think Wonderwood is much more creamy. I would still buy this if I can find it. I'm female and supposedly this is for men, but this can be a unisex fragrance.

In a word: LOVE. I am a fan of woods, so of course I love this. I also love vetiver, sandalwood and guaiac wood, so there's that. I get lots of compliments on this when I wear it ...but...the most special thing about a perfume to me is this (it's also like that special song)...if when smelling it for the 1s time and I feel like it's been mine forever, or that I've imagined the smell (or melody if it's a song)-- I must have it. This is one of the few frags that have done that to me and it simply belongs to me...it is a part of me.

Wood, real wood, not just something woody. Smelling Comme des Garcons Wonderwood is like stepping into a cabinet maker's workshop. It smells wood, freshly crafted wood. Pepper, incense and nutmeg just strengthen the impression of wood - a generic, non specific spices. Cedar is there but does not in anyway dominate. Wonderwood is different . It stands out from other woody scents by being just this, wood. To me it is a beautiful and very wearable everyday scent.

This is not woodsy. Or woody. It's actually WOOD. As in real wood, like a recently sawn log or slab of timber, dry sawdust on the floor all around... Because I am drawn to unusual and distinctive (not generic) fragrances at the moment, I love this one. I have chosen this over CdG2Man which I tried on at the same time - and it smelled like nothing new or special in comparison. I don't mind smelling like a tree. Being human is overrated anyway ...

This was a total blind buy for me. I have to admit that at first spray I thought it was way too dry and leaned a bit too masculine for my usual taste. But I am so glad I gave it time, because I learned to love it! Once it settles on my skin, it feels like the scent warms up. As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors and in nature, I can honestly say this smells like a forest to me. If you try it, give it a chance to develop on your skin.

@Ksj_ What people mean is that Wonderwood smells similar to Encre Noire á l' Extrème, so the EdP, definitely not the OG. I thought it was strange, until I did a side by side, and yes indeed, they really are similar. Not identical. ENalE is much smokier and more cypressy, Wonderwood is more peppery and dry. But they are very much in the same ballpark. Wonderwood is definitely not similar to the original Encre Noire though.

Wonderwood is one of the best woody scents you can find - rich and complex with great sillage - my girlfriend can smell when I spray it in the next room - that can be divisive for compliments from those who are nearby: it can be somewhat of a 'Marmite' perfume. Wonderwood is definitely not suitable for office or formal environments due to incredible potency but it's comforting and intriguing for a cold winter day/night.

Ran out of my last WW bottle in 2020 and didn’t buy again due to performance issues. Fast forward to 2025 and i was missing it so decided to give it another try and man im glad i did. They must have tweaked it because i can still smell it on my jacket 48 hours later. Same great smell, better performance. AND please stop calling this unisex, if i start smelling this on women im going to be super disappointed

Third review - bought this from luckyscent and it last days on my clothes great projection, can smell it on my jacket standing 2 meters away. So i saw a shop in Chicago named notre had it on sale for $130 and bought 2 bottles, same batch number as the luckyscent bottle, same box same everything but, disappears in minutes. Have to bury my nose in it and even then its barely noticeable

I blind-ordered this one and got hooked immediately. A really complex scent that stands out. It starts sharp, but then lingers on forever as a really pleasant woody scent. After a few years I feel it got sweeter and a bit two-dimensional, but that could just be normal degradation. Wonderwood put back a smile on my face many years after Gucci Rush was gone. It's a beautiful fragrance on it's own, but the remembrance is inevitable and always will remain. The same thing will not happen to me twice, so I've stocked up enough bottles for the rest of my life. And if that is not enough I have some of Wonderoud as well just in case.

I absolutely love this smell on me. As a strong woman, this woman suits me. Yes it has some masculine notes, but my goodness it is beautiful. I always get comments about it when I wear it, many of them from strangers on the street as I pass. I use one spray on my neck and it will last well into the evening. My signature scent that's for sure.

This one is a massive compliment getter. Men, women, everyone seems to love this one. I had to write down what it was for people on multiple occasions. It's a very calming scent that won't offend anyone, and it's very easy to wear in public, whether it is to the office, while traveling, or simply while picking up groceries.

Well blended lovely woody staff for SPRING. I really dont understand why people vote for Winter or Fall and compares to Encre Noir. The frag too smooth and the performance is too weak for cold days. Very nice masculine easy to wear dry wood but much more sophisticated than Encre Noir. I love both but completely different.

This is the scent I gave my husband when we were first dating. I’ve always loved it and couldn’t wait to give it to him so he’d wear it. Super sexy woods and spice, never cloying or harsh. Everyone in his office loved it, including men. He doesn’t wear scent often but when he does....this does it for me, Yummy!

I'm getting more vetiver than I expected from the voted notes, but that's alright with me. Plenty of tar and resin as opposed to the cut-up planks I was hoping for, but it's not heavy enough to be overpowering. Thankfully, I'm not getting any oud. If Encre Noire is pitch black, this is medium brown. Unisex(y).

It was love at first smell, this is the exact concoction I was looking for when it comes to a "woody" fragrance. This right here is one of the greatest to ever do it. I will make sure I'm constantly restocking on this in case they discontinue it or reformulate. Perfection in a bottle.

I bought it because of the reviews on here. I was not disappointed but weirdly women prefer the Amazingreen over this on the opening. Some told me it was very mild. I think it's quite strong but I have a delicate nose. I use it in the fall/winter and Amazingreen in the spring/summer.

Simply one of the best wooden perfumes so far. Mature, elegant, serious and perfect for a rainy autumn. Spicy and woody notes are well-blended and stay with you for a decent amount of time. Reminds me of another masterpiece - Encre Noir, but more warm and performance is way better

Creamy powdery sandalwood, just the right amount of spice, and a handsome masculine cedar. It is soft, but you will get a compliment if someone hugs you or gets super close. Perfect for a safe office scent, a first date, or netflix and chill 😏. Lasts 4-5 hours then starts to fade.

The opening features pepper and cardamom, followed by a prominent woody blend dominated by sandalwood. It’s a woody scent with a hint of sweetness, but the sweetness is perfectly balanced—"subtle" would be the better word. It’s somewhat similar to Commodity medium Paper.

i really like its kind of burned woody smell with bursts of sandal and overall mild spicy vibe. the longevity seems too weak for me. i can’t really feel it after three hours on my skin but i have only tried it home so maybe it works better in different microclimates

Smells amazing on me, less so on boyfriend. All creamy sandalwood and fruity black pepper. Big win for me. (Semi-interesting) hot take - This might be the Santal 33 of the young(ish), Scandinavian architecture world. Prove me wrong, I dare you.

I just got a fragrance, blind buy, that is just like Wonderwood, 95%. It is Xerjoffs "Zafar". It is Wonderwood with a genuine oud, black pepper and cedar. Very spicy and woody just like Wonderwood with the same kind of oud but more intense.

It's a high quality woods and spice fragrance. This is more spicy than spice bomb. It has the great blend of many woods, cedar, sandalwood, cypress, guaiac, yes, oud. Then you get sage and lots of pepper in the mix. It is very masculine.

I received a sample of Wonderwood from Luckyscent. I really like this one. From the start is smells really nice. A great Fresh cedar scent. Smells like woody with pepper. A coworker complimented it as “Pretty”.
