Capim Cheiroso

I met the fragrances of this House when I created a partnership through my Brazilian website of perfume reviews. And it was a real adventure unravel all of them, without having access to the official notes, even having direct contact with the owner of the company. And the result was wonderful because he loved reading my reviews and complimented me on most of them. Therefore, I will copy the translated reviews below, as they were written and published at the time. This scent made me very curious since I got my own bottle because I had read in some discussion groups about a possible similarity with Encre Noire (Lalique). Well, we are talking about a product completely made with the oil extracted from vetiver that, among other names in Brazil (vetiver grass, Indian grass, false patchouli, and root-of-smell), can also be called scented (or fragrant) grass. Hence the name of this fragrance: Capim Cheiroso (which means scented grass). While in the famous and acclaimed Encre Noire, we have a rich and herbal output of cypress to, then, feel the evolution of vetiver, in this one we have an earthier and rugged output of vetiver, something that looks like a forest on fire. Really! It is the smell of when we set fire to branches and grass and we have that earthy tone of the plant mixed with the aspect of the branches turning into fire. It is very interesting, but not so pleasant. However, in this fragrance, the output does not last long, which is great, because the result that consolidates over time is more elegant and natural and, truth be told, there is such a similarity with Encre Noire. The durability of Capim Cheiroso is excellent, but the projection does not follow (at least, on my skin). It exuded well for about three hours and then became closer to the skin. For those who admire the fragrance of Encre Noire and cannot stand the pungency of its vetiver, this perfume by Cia. Da Terra is an excellent choice.

I also feel the same similarity with Encre Noire, which is too much more expensive than this one. Great option!
