Vanille Abricot

This scent is so yummy, but also richer and deeper than any less-expensive gourmand perfumes. I first bought this around 2005, as a broke high schooler. I had smelled it at the mall multiple times before I purchased, and I just had to have it. It was the only nice perfume I owned at the time, so you know it was irresistible! I bought another bottle in early 2020 (it’s now glass instead of metal) and I personally think the juice in the glass bottle is just the same as the old version. Still yummy and addictive. It’s a bit of a changeling no matter which bottle you have. Sometimes you smell like sweet peaches. Sometimes you smell like sugary sweet whipped cream with only the barest touch of apricot. Sometimes you smell exactly, and I mean exactly, like Oreos. A freshly opened package of Oreos. I am totally pleased to smell like an Oreo when this perfume decides to take me that direction, haha. If that would bother you, then this is not the scent for you. It’s definitely a bit juvenile, but you love what you love. I think I’ll still be using this one decades from now.

zenbabylove, you have saved me from the brink of insanity. I recently purchased a bottle of this after sampling and loving the test bottle (which was considerably older than the ones for sale, and smelled just like vanilla apricot ice cream with powdered sugar and vanilla angel food cake), only to get my brand new bottle home and find to my extreme dismay that the first spray revealed vaguely sweetish NOTHING. This juice has been SO watered down in its most recent formulation it plays tricks with your head. I blamed myself after a generous spraying and thought I had become anosmic, but in the end I decided it was the reformulation that was to blame. I threw my bottle away because the employees at the store said I could not return my purchase. It wasn't even good enough to swap. Thank you zenbabylove! I owe you one. The reformulation blues are painful indeed. The newest bottles are glass, with blue rectangular stickers for labels, that you can peel off with your nails.

This perfume is so yummy! When I first spray it, it's a lovely clash between sweet and sour. It brings to mind instantly Sweet Tarts and Sour Patch Kids. I imagine something candy, chewy, fruity, and rolled in sugar. After a while, it becomes a warm, apricot cake. The apricot and sugar stand out most to me, but the other notes somehow meld to make the scent so realistic, and there's nothing sharp or synthetic about it--unless you find the scent of candy in general synthetic. You have to like sweet in order to like this perfume. If you love Flowerbomb, La Vie Est Belle, Pink Sugar, or Pour Femme by D&G, and you aren't afraid of going sweeter without a flower in sight, you may just love Vanille Abricot. If you love Fresh Cream by Philosophy, Prada Candy, Pure Vanilla by La Vanilla, and the like, this might just be a perfect new sugar fix for you! I absolutely love it and it will forever have a place in my collection. :)

I've tried really hard to not like this perfume, but I digress--it makes me feel happy! It definitely isn't something to take so seriously, since it's pretty much 100% liquid fun. Very cute, but linear scent. CSP Vanille Abricot opens up with Skittles + waxy vanilla candle (yes, it smells exactly like the ones you can buy at IKEA). It doesn't really deviate much from that except the vanilla gets warmer and more full-bodied; it's thick and rich, but not suffocating. It smells like a mixture of either vanilla extract or cake + orange-coloured fruits (or Skittles). Smells completely delicious and edible. This should be a staple for any gourmand lover out there. It's sweet, but nowhere near the likes of Pink Sugar, which is another gourmand perfume that is in the same subcategory as CSP Vanille Abricot. If you like Pink Sugar, you'd most definitely like this. Sillage is poor however, but it does last quite awhile.

Very unique smelling to me. But also familiar. It's very sweet, it smells almost nectar-y syrupy. It has some of the sweet notes that pink sugar or the fantasy britney spears perfume has but smells very different. There is an apricot element - it smells like very sweet apricot jelly. It also reminds me of those little sugar cookies you buy in a vending machine that have some jam in the middle, in this case apricot. I just realized that and I think its the best comparison. It smells divine honestly. There is no offensive smell, zero alcohol smell, no spiciness, its extremely tame and a crowd pleaser I'm sure. It doesnt really smell like vanilla to me. It's a light smell that definitely isnt heavy. It isnt so sweet that it gives you a headache. I would definitely re-purchase this if I ran out. Please get this. Just please.

The loveliest of vanilla perfumes, in my humble opinion. I searched for years to find MY new vanilla (after body shop original vanilla disappeared) and I found it with Vanille Abricot. Comptoir Sud Pacifique has one of the most complete and varied lines of vanilla perfumes, I’ve come across. I love most of them, honestly. Vanille Abricot may be the simplest of the bunch but I find it very wearable and absolutely my most complimented (& requested) perfume. Men seem to adore this perfume. This really shines in the summer! I wear it all year, but it blooms in the most beautiful way in warmer weather. I notice the apricot note more often in the summer months. I also find this to be one of my most comforting scents and I often spray it when I am feeling sad or anxious.

Beautiful fragrance but unfortunately the apricot ingredient doesn’t last very long on my skin’s chemistry but my dry down is almost leaning towards a coconut base. My partner loves this one on me and I love wearing it when the weather is warm. This is not as sickly as I thought it might be and it’s quite a mature sweet scent on me. I can get away with wearing it during the day and at night but it’s a wee bit expensive here in New Zealand so it’s not something I can buy all the time. Still I would probably repurchase it when I run out as I have been wearing it at least twice a week sometimes since I purchased it this summer. The bottle itself is not fancy but is superbly made and crafted. It’s heavy and the box is also well made and designed.

I love this. The apricot starts off sweet, sour and a little bitter. But the real charm of this fragrance is the vanilla sugar drydown. Sugary sweet and vanillic, they weren’t kidding when they said sugar is one of the notes. It smells like I took a bath in vanilla sugar and left the sugar granules on my skin to melt. The main biggest reason I love this? My children love smelling it on me. They say I smell like milkshakes and ice cream and candy. Both of them would cuddle up to me and inhale the perfume deeply. I only bought a 10ml travel spray of this but would definitely be getting a larger size. I tried layering this under other sweet perfumes I have and my goodness...

I bought my first bottle of CSP Vanille Abricot 12 years ago in Paris. Since that time I have finished off several of the old style aluminum bottles. Today I received, as a gift from my BFF, a fresh new glass bottle of Vanille Abricot. The first spritz made me sad. This has been reformulated. It starts off with a very harsh opening of Skittles. Skittles! Why? The good news is that the Skittles fade away quickly, then the old friendly floating island of vanilla and apricot reappears. Yes it's desserty and sweet, but much less than Pink Sugar. It's not sexy, not sophisticated, but is very cozy and happy. The longevity is above average.

I got this as a sample in the late 90s. Oh so fun, so sweet, so intoxicating, and SO JEUNE FILLE!! I was already too old to wear this. That said, I would put it on if I wasn't going to go anywhere, especially work. LOVED IT, but when it ran out, I thought hard about ordering more. I realized it was a guilty pleasure, and not really me. They had a sister fragrance, Eau de The', which they stopped making, and THAT was unique. I still have a bottle of it, but it smells as old as it is, and I won't wear it. I have been chasing that scent every since. Amazing how unique a few notes can be.

THIS IS A VERY SWEET SCENT! hahaha, i am a sucker for smells like that so i must say i love it. It lasts pretty long, and people have commented on me smelling like sweet vanilla after i have hugged them. One of my male coworkers said that ,, i hate your perfume, it makes me want to eat cupcakes all the time" so do with that what u will. I can smell the apricot but it is in noway a fruity scent, you will just walk around and smell like a pastry. Lasts a lot longer on clothes than skin, so i just spray it on my jackets and dresses before going out rather than neck.

CSP were so ahead of their time imo. If these freshly dropped like 3-4 years ago (like before SDJ) and had better social media marketing the gourmand community would have lost their minds! For a long time, these and Angel were the only really easily accessible gourmand fragrances. The longevity kinda sucks ngl (i wish they'd improve on that) Ofc its sweet lol, its literally Vanilla, Sugar, apricot and jackfruit. I'll always love Vanille Abricot and I love it even more layered under Phlur's Vanilla Nectar, they play together BEAUTIFULLY 😍

I LOVE this scent. It’s a long lasting, wear all day kind of perfume but not too heavy. It’s wonderful, I just wish it was cheaper. It’s already really hard to get your hands on since of its popularity. Let alone the amount of money it takes to buy it. I got it as a sample and I've been trying to get a full size ever since. It’s really sweet which I enjoy a lot. The vanilla and peach are the strongest notes which make it a rich delicious scent to wear during the summer. It smells like a peach cupcake, but more grown up.

They do this one so well, it's their best seller in the U.S. for a reason. Based on the ingredients, you'd think it would smell like a jolly rancher candy, but it doesn't, it somehow manages to smell like true vanilla bean, but juicy too, like biting into a fresh apricot. Good stuff. A late 90's, early 2000's fave of celebs like Nicole Kidman. It's certainly no longer a fresh concept, and like the Fred Segal store that sold it, it's defunct, but it was so popular for a reason. I still recommend it.

I really love this one. Nice tart Apricot in the beginning, then a sweet and creamy vanilla. In the drydown I smell apricot again and it is yummy. I guess because I wear and love lots of gourmands this isn't as sweet to me as it appears to be to others. It's sweet, but the fruit cuts the sweetness quite a bit. I also love how long it lasts on me....over 8 hours after application I can still smell it! No projection, though, so it works well for me at work. Very lovely and happy scent. I'm addicted.

This is a fun, casual scent. I wish the apricot scent lasted a bit longer, but the price is low and one can respray at will! It's less synthetic than many low priced vanilla scents, which I can't tolerate. This is, along with the blackberry version, my favorite lower priced scents. Funny, aside from Prada Candy, I don't like the other "People who like this" scents. I despise Pink Sugar (Smells like patchouli plastic fake vanilla yuck).Alien and Hypnotic Poison are okay but not my loves.

this smells wonderful!, reminds me of my childhood in a way. i will say though it is a little pricey and it's a skin scent but i love it nonetheless update 2024: so I still really enjoy the scent especially now that the juice has darkened and developed more but I wont be repurchasing because the scent is nothing special. there are a lot of vanilla perfumes that dupe or even smell better then this for cheaper but I will enjoy the bottle I have but I would say save your money

Such a yummy cotton candy scent. When I sampled this, the sillage was extremely weak, but once I got a larger bottle I realized how much of a powerhouse this was. I’ve had the 1 oz / 30 ml size for almost 3 years and I’m about halfway done. Great going-out scent, summer scent, and layering scent for more tart fragrances as well. If you like the profile and longevity of scents like Pink Sugar but hate licorice, this would be a great alternative. You will get compliments!

Ok so this is actually really really pretty. I have had this on all day after moisturizing really well and it lasted for the last 7 hours and still is there. It goes through cycles; it begins with a candied apricot and vanilla, then the vanilla becomes more prominent and cloudlike, while the apricot becomes more juicy. It wears really well in the heat and just blossoms. It is similar to Montale Sweet Vanilla, but S.V is the Seductive winter version vs the day version.

I consider this a classic in the gourmand category. I only had the body cream years ago, and it was fantastic stuff that managed to smell exactly like the perfume (very strongly) in a richer form. I loved it when I was in the mood for something very sweet. It's like creamy apricot cake. In the 90's this was mentioned in beauty magazines quite often. I bought a bottle for the nostalgia. I will say it's much lighter than it used to be. At least to my nose.

I don't usually go for sweet scents, but I love this one. It smells like cookies, and it feels like a warm hug. Basically a great scent for wearing to work, or when you just need a little comforting. It smells more fruity to me in the summer, and more sweet in the winter. I don't tend to wear it in the spring or fall. Based on the other reviews, I'm going to try layering it with one of my more spicy perfumes to see if I can get a spice cookie out of it.

Wow, I am 15 minutes into my first spray of Comptoir-Sud-Pacifique Vanille Abricot, and can't stop sniffing myself. I love, love this straight-up burst of vanilla cake batter and frosting. Lucky Dog just came up and licked my arm. I smell sinfully delicious. This is something I could see spraying on myself at home as a comfort scent, or layering as a deep, yummy base for other fragrances. Thank you Fragranticians for another winning recommendation!

My most favorite scent of all time! This is the PERFECT vanilla scent! The apricot helps keep it from being too cloying. It stays bright and fresh instead of smelling like cooked sugar. I've been wearing this for at least the last 10 years and get constant compliments and inquiries. I will cry if they ever stop making this!! I have yet to find a dupe that even comes close. I've tried other Sud Pacifique scents but none are quite a good as this one.

This is SO GOOD. One of the sweetest perfumes I’ve ever smelled. It’s like Outremer Vanille but even sweeter, and more vanilla-y. Like many sweet vanillas it can make your nose burn if you sniff it too soon after spraying lol. Decent lasting power/projection, and the extreme sweetness definitely helps with that. It makes me want to try other scents from Comptoir Sud Pacifique!

Kill me now please. I found this at Gordmans for $20 on clearance. They had a ton and about 7 different scents. I couldnt smell it or read the notes with my phone so I skipped it. Get a sample in the mail now and I LOVE it but cant afford it for the price its going for. Kill me. Please, anyone? :'( Check out your Gordmans, Yours may have it cheap like mine did!!

This fragrance is 100% my signature fragrance now. I love it. It is a soft and milky vanilla with a splash of tropical. The dry down is where it is truly special. I love it. Plus, I love the simplicity of the ingredients. I have a lot of allergies. This one is pretty much just fruity vanilla. Which is perfect. Nothing sophisticated, just a soft and sweet scent.

A very realistic cotton candy frag, which is incredibly beautiful, fruity, juicy. It Smells almost exactly the same as Montale-Sweet Vanilla (which is my favourite Montale perfume). However, I feel like Montale is stronger and projects better. But of course, it depends on your budget. Either of these 2 will be amazing for summer!

Supper yummy apricot pie and vanilla whipped cream! A year round staple for me and will be worn any time of day personally. Love Love Looooovvvvveeeeee it!!! I am also convinced that Montale's sweet vanilla was inspired by this. Absolute twins but this is a more airy version both are keepers for me nonetheless!

Very sweet and fruity scent! Reminds me of an apricot pie. It almost has this innocent(?) aspect to it, weirdly childlike, so it's not very fit for any serious settings, but it's definitely a great scent to wear during the day, especially during the warmer months. I honestly love it.

Love this. No longevity, so I spray it on clothing instead of skin. Almost exact dupe is Monoi Tiare Tahiti Vanilla perfume, but it's discontinued, I think, and not exactly cheap. But it smells nearly, if not entirely, identical.

Vanilla with a sweet, fruity edge. But the fruit is more in the supportive role. This is by far a predominantly vanilla fragrance. It shines in hot water, it is perfect for summer by the sea. Also works great for layering.

On my skin this is a lot like Love by Kilian minus the orange flower, but if I add Cologne of Love with it it’s very much the same. I have a big bottle, and only wear this at home. It lasts a few hours.

This smells absolutely beautiful, but I have had dollar store body splashes last longer than this. Such a disappointment 😭. Good for a bedtime frag as long as you fall asleep within 5 mins of spraying.

I adore this fragrance. I can spray it on liberally without having to worry about stinking anyone out! It sits very close to the skin. It's nice when I want to invite my husband to smell closer!

🩷 Vanille Abricot by Comptoir Sud Pacifique: This is NOT a bold fragrance; it's a very light, gentle, subtle, soft, sweet, warm, soothing, vanilla-based fragrance with an elegant interweaving of subtle apricot notes and the occasional powdery hint. 🩷 I've worn this many times on warm days but today was my first time wearing it on a cold, chilly day. On warm days, it's nice enough to wear; but not nice enough to make me want to buy a full bottle. 🩷 Today, was cold & chilly. I put some on about an hour before bundling up to go spend some time outdoors enjoying nature & then added a little more later because it's such a light scent. For the 1st hour indoors, it initially seemed to come off as a skin scent but, later, as I moved around outside & my body warmed up, its gentle, sweet sillage kept wafting up through my layers and caressing my senses with delightfully different wisps of scent. Sometimes, I smelled only the sweet, gentle, beautiful vanilla, sometimes only the briefest fruity hint of subtle apricot, sometimes I got a perfect blend of both vanilla & apricot and, sometimes, it was just a sweet powdery scent. It was so beautiful and, simultaneously so very soothing. Today made me see this fragrance in a whole new light. 🥰 ✳️ I really like this fragrance a lot; my only hesitancy to purchase it lies in the fact that it is so faint that I feel as though I would need to use a lot more of it in order for it to measure up to the strength &/or longevity of most of my other fragrances. Additionally, I originally tried it because I really love good, authentic, peach-forward fragrances (which are incredibly difficult to find) and the apricot in this fragrance is very tantalizingly peach-adjacent; nevertheless, it still leaves me wanting more...

As people have said - this perfume is VERY sweet - not for the feint of heart, or those who don't really love gourmands. I happen to be a gourmand lover, so I dont find this at all offensive, but I could see how some might. I recieved this as a gift, and it is a very delicious perfume. When I first spray it, the opening is very bright, with the distinct smell of the apricot fruitiness, but it is warmed with the darker smell of vanilla. A very nice combination I think on me. At the dry-down I really begin to smell the papaya middle notes, and a bit of the sugar in the base starts to come through. Hours later its all warm vanilla. A very sweet girlish scent, brings out feelings of youth and happiness - is going to be great for the upcoming hot Louisiana summer nights. The longevity on me is unbelievable too, I think its my longest lasting perfume I have currently - it lasts all day. Moderate sillage, which i think is perfect, and it is a rather simple scent, so I have also been able to use it as a base to layer some of my other gourmands over -- I feel like it helps them have greater longevity. It does remind me a bit of the origional Pink Sugar, but without the burnt dry-down. Getting this makes me want to sample a couple of the other perfumes from this line. The only draw back to this for me is the bottle - its plain and really just rather ugly. Sud Pacifique should really invest in a new bottle designer, as this package and bottle design looks like something you would pick up at Walgreens for less than ten dollars, which really doesn't do the scent aesthetic justice.

I’m sad to report that I def feel this has been reformulated and not for the better! This was my signature years ago and I was expecting to smell nostalgia from that time as I’ve just received a travel sized spray ( not decant ) what I smell today is a watered down version of what the og was- the dna even smells different 😕 Gosh I wish I stocked up way back when- this used to be very strong and sugary sweet- I used to always get compliments- it even smelled like chocolate candy on some days— very gourmand - when stores open up I will be curious to test out the full bottle displays- I wonder if this mini is a bad batch- it smells that different to me- the vanillas in the csp have a specific dna and it’s undetectable in the spray that was just delivered 😞 Edit- I just read a few reviews below and 2 different reviews nailed it- one described how it changed from day to day- one day whipped cream and sugary and other says like Oreos ( see above as I referenced chocolate ) this is how I remember the fragrance Another review says it has changed- the peachy apricot is now like children’s aspirin - she nailed it - the formulation has changed and I’m glad I only have a mini and not a fb Outremers vanilla smells more like what vanille abricot used to smell like than vanille abricot sold today 🤷🏻♀️

I decided to blind buy this on a whim. I've been looking to recapture the fragrance of an apricot fruit tea that was scenting a friend's kitchen many years ago. So far I've been looking for teas only. Since that's failed I've turned to apricot perfume instead. As it turns out, this perfume is nothing like that in my memory. But in the week I've spent with it I'm finding that I'm more and more addicted with every squirt. We're not having a real summer, but the temperatures are too bland for my usual heavy perfumes. This provides the right amount and kind of creature comforts though. The apricot note is less natural and fresh than expected, and there's a lot less of it than expected. After the alcohol evaporates there's a slight fruity nature to scent against a "toasty" vanilla background. After that it's pretty much only vanilla. In the final stages it reminds me of the fragrance of vanilla flavoured sugar. The lasting power is impressive even with conservative application. Even so the fragrance is never heavy or oppressive. It's by no means a "high brow" scent. But not everything needs to be. There's definitely room in my world for simple pleasures and perfumes that are just comfortable. I can't praise this enough for delivering just that.

Apricot is one of my favourite fruit notes, vanilla is one of my favourite notes in general, and I'm easily seduced by sugary scents, so this Vanille Abricot sounded like exactly my thing. I was a little hesitant to try it, though, because the few other Comptoir Sud Pacifiques I've sampled so far didn't do much for me: not enough going on, too much focus on just powerful sweetness. This one, however, is a hit! It's not much subtler than the other ones I've tried, but that doesn't matter, because it delivers on its promise: it's a wonderful blend of vanilla and apricots with extra sugar on top - it smells just about exactly like I hoped it would. It's obviously still very sweet, but not in a cloying way: the apricot and papaya provide a little fruity contrast, just a nice little hint of tartness in all the sugary goodness. I like it very much, and am considering a full bottle. It's a pure comfort scent: definitely not for every occasion, and I wouldn't want to use it daily or even very regularly. But from time to time it can be a craving; for example it's just what the doctor ordered on a night like tonight, after a stressful day at work.

I bought vanille abricot blind and at first wondered if I made a big mistake. The top notes to me were almost medicinal and off putting, like a big fake rotten peach was sitting in a heap of custard. I was almost getting upset until it quickly started changing. Thankfully the fake fruit thing fades away to a more candy floss apricot/peachy vibe once the dry down occurs. The vanilla stays custardy. This fragrance personally doesn't remind me of pink sugar, I mean I can see the candy floss comparison though. The fragrance is fun, fruity, creamy, and linear. It lasts about 4 maybe 5 hours on me but I spray a lot on, six sprays on my chest and neck. I agree it's weak. Still, I only paid $40 for 100 mL so I'm not too crushed. It would be wonderful if they made an EDP or made it stronger. My bottle was bought after they did their last reformulations in 2009.

Similar to montales sweet vanille, but more tangy fruity less of the vanilla. Great smell imo, but very similar that its hard to justify as this is one of those instances I think where you really are getting what you pay for in the comparisons. The montale its literally twice as much of course, buts its also literally twice if not three times more powerful. So I guess it really depends on whats available and how much money you have at the time, and how much the slight differences matter to you. I enjoy it, and wouldnt mind having it.. but again hard to justify getting it over montales sweet vanille, which is already similar to dulcis in fuundo as well in its own way. So do I need to own 3 of the same scent even if I like how it smells? Since im not rich, personally I can't justify it. But wouldnt mind having it of course other wise.

This is an utterly delectable scent. Vanille Abricot is everything I wanted Aquolina's Pink Sugar to be. It contains more depth than many foody perfumes. The jackfruit and apricot round out the sugary notes to create a candied scent that is more vibrant than cloying. A tropical cotton candy. The initial spray has more of the fruit than the drydown but I thoroughly enjoy both. As far as gourmand scents go, this is a fantastic vanilla. It is neither one-dimensional nor so packed with extra notes as to nauseate the wearer. My only two issues with CSP VA are 1) that I immensely dislike the packaging and 2) the sillage is rather poor. That said, I would recommend this to any lover of Prada Candy, Flowerbomb, BS Fantasy, JS Fancy, etc. under the caveat that you may want to bring the fragrance (or a sample) around with you for touch-ups.

Personally. I love the perfume. It's apricot, vanilla gourmand scent. Very creamy nothing plastic. When it dries down i smell only vanilla. The only downside for me is projectivity and longevity. You smell it only on your skin and projectivity is 3 hrs max. I would purchase full bottle if it would project better. ok, so I tested the perfume for all night wear. the thing is that I am used to Montale quality perfume which means I spray myself 3x and thats it. But with CSP I tried to "over" spray myself 6x when I say "over" its because I do no usually spray 6+ times not to choke people around me but it worked. It lasted good 6hrs on me during evening and people loved it a lot. Especially my male friends said that I smelled amazing so very complimented perfume. I just purchased a 30 ml bottle for 42 eur. I think its worth it :)

This is a very interesting fragrance; it definitely wasn't what I expected based on the notes listed here. It's a very sugary vanilla, but not an immature vanilla; it smells like very good, high-quality vanilla extract with a blast of sugar. The middle of this scent brings out the abstract impression of tropical fruit (though I wouldn't be able to tell you exactly which individual fruit this reminds me of...), though the vanilla is still by far the most prominent note, and by the end of my time wearing this the tropical fruit accord had begun to recall bubblegum. It's kind of a fun fragrance to wear, even though none of the scents I've listed here are things that generally appeal to me! It's done well enough that the overall impression remains elegant.
