Vanille Banane

Another review I had to edit after spraying again. Playful, light, and delectable with 100% Wonka banana taffy and fresh cream in the opening. As it fades, the banana leaf note really starts to come out on my skin and mingles softly with the vanilla. I do get an extremely faint marshmallow puff towards the end as a user below described. I don't detect any orange or rum. Projection is nonexistent and it disappears within less than 30 minutes over a base of unscented lotion. However, I did just receive this bottle. I've had perfumes where I've noticed the projection/sillage and longevity have improved after sitting in my drawer for a few months. Really wish it lasted longer because it's practically useless BUT we'll see down the line. Would like to compare it to the Donna Sentenza Hilde Soliani perfume but I'll have to sample. I saw reviews saying it's not as good as it used to be. Hopefully they just got a fluke because I'd really love to layer the two and amp up the smell. Overall, fun scent for a beach day and safe blind buy if you love the scent of banana candy. Price is good, all things considered but opt for the bigger bottle. You will be needing to re-spray a lot. 3.5/5 Just for the weak sillage and longevity Edit: Donna Sentenza Hilde Soliani is creamier and on the bubblegum side.

Another novelty, another hit for me from CSP. Despite the oft women’s classification on Stores Web site I blind bought this as I found a small 30ml bottle. Gorgeous! Reminds me of a popular Aussie candy - Allen’s Bananas with a touch of cream. Miracleborgtechs reviews are often great but I disagree in that whilst it’s amazing, to me it is a synthetic construct however I then agree it doesn’t come across as a cheap candy perfume. I am 100% confident it is because there is a tiny wood base on the dry down appearing after 5 minutes maybe of cedar or sandalwood and it is not listed in notes that gives it some natural depth. Happy if someone can confirm this. I also suspect the vanilla is more Tonka bean - or at least in the first five minutes something is playing tricks on me as the vanilla is given a milky base. In all an awesome scent and again taking it to work I was surprised how many male staff embraced the perfume, so yeah not for professional use but an entertaining distraction like CSPs Soufle des Indes. I have a perfume for every note I fancy.... I guess this is the one for Banana

I had gotten a sample a while back from a friend of what I thought was this and I loved it so much that when I found one on Amazon that was an alright price (it was still over $100CAD for 100mls) but than I found the sample after it was en route to me and the sample was for Vanille Coco, but I decided I would keep this when it got here anyways and I got it today. It’s definitely not something I’ve ever smelled before and normally anything vanilla I wouldn’t typically be drawn to but I really like this. It’s mid October and the perfect weather for this I think, I mean it could be worn year round but on these slightly chilly fall days the vanilla is yummy and the whip cream banana notes make it even more yummy. This would be something I think layered with a chocolatey fragrance would be beautiful! It’s not my dream fragrance but it’s got a really nice scent to it!

While it's true that the Comptoir Sud Pacifique perfumes aren't stellar performers, this one does pretty well. If you spray this on clothes, the banana does last longer. I woke up this morning with warm tendrils of banana vanilla sneaking out from a under my blankets. Tropical yumminess....mmm.. yesterday I was complimented and asked what I was wearing. So it does actually have a scent trail. The key is to spray it on your clothes, not just skin, where it dries down. The banana stays put on fabrics for quite a while! Of course, you can't do this with fine or delicate fabrics, but cotton poly does nicely. I tend to live in leisurewear these days, sturdy warmer fabrics because it's VERY cold out. Thermal pj's etc. they can tolerate perfume application. This is one of a few favorites from this brand. I will never be without it.

First blast: banana flavour medicine. Or those small banana candies. But wait! It'll pass in a few seconds. Then it's like....banana flower. It's insanely beautiful. Green notes even. Flowery, lactonic, mmmm....one of their best fragrances! Oh my god does it turn into something special. It makes me want to keep spraying to smell that intensely vanilla tropical blossom scent....like nectar aaaah. So sweet, milky and slightly floral. Drydown: On me the rum note really blooms. It goes very sweet on me, and turns into a slightly powdery vanilla rum custard. The banana note might be stronger on others, but for me the dry down smells like rum flavoured cozy shack vanilla pudding and I'm not upset. I layered it with Lush V and got this gothic purple banana space pudding smell. Amazing.

PERFECTION ! Vanille Banane's top notes are banana, cream and orange...I do not smell any orange when I spray it or cream either. Kid you not, I smell some vanilla, some banana but mainly Pineapple Fanta ! Fizzy Pineapple that is just heavenly. Or maybe banana-pineapple fanta... Somewhat natural smelling even, but sweeeeet. But that phase is over soon and then it's just banana creaminess. For me after 5-10 minutes it starts to get creamier and more Vanilla, Rum and still banana. If you're wondering what that combination smells like it reminds me of ylang and vanille scent. As a yellow flower with sweetness I can see how ylang ylang is much like banana, in that sense. This is one of my favourite scents, no matter what time of year it is. So lucky to have bottle of this.

I saw a review on you tube by Delicious Delights about this banana perfume so I rushed to order it off Amazon. I love it! This is a yummy banana cream pie scent! Luckily this scent doesn’t change to be nasty on my skin. Other banana fragrances I tried smelled like underarm body odor but that never happened with this perfume. It is not too sweet but I’m testing in winter at 51 degrees. Unsure I would wear this in high heat. This lasted about 4 hours on me with good projection with scent trail the first hour. I don’t mind reapplying. I plan to wear this in evenings. This is a comforting scent that makes me think of holidays when my mom was alive to bake banana cream pies. I miss her and this perfume brings back happy memories of her baking in kitchen.

A sweet treat for a day in, under a cozy blanket. Not a great performer, but I just respray. There are good deals out there, on this one and let's face it, Comptoir Sud Pacifique doesn't make long lasting perfumes. This Vanille Banane lasts longer than the other Vanillas they sell. Vanilla Abricot is gone the minute you spray it on, and that's their best seller, although I don't know why..This one hangs around for a while, at least. The best banana perfume I've ever used was Ladyboy by Lush. But, that was discontinued many years ago, unfortunately. I wish they would bring that one back. Banana isn't a typical ingredient in a perfume, so I put up with the sketchy performance and just enjoy this pretty little slice of dessert.

a very straightforward scent, its not trying to do too much, but its really good for what it is. smells immediately like banana candy, but dries down to a very creamy dessert-like vanilla that reminds me of banana cream pie. a bit synthetic, but in a pleasant nostalgic way. during the wear its 90% just vanilla, and even though its very sweet its probably one of my favourite vanilla fragrances that ive ever tried- just very smooth and thick without having other harsh notes trying to take over. wayyy different and more gourmand than what i would typically wear, but i theres something about it that i just cant get enough of. i think it reminds me of my childhood

The opening is an incredible banana pudding/ Laffy Taffy gourmand that quickly dries into a vanilla perfume. The magic is in the opening . The banana is still there but it’s very subtle. This is going to have to be something I layer with other banana scented products to make it work, which fortunately I have in abundance. I would only suggest buying this as a scent meant for adding to a layering routine because the banana dominates for a second and then falls way into the background ( which I think is actually the banana leaf note). I think I need to find a perfume that has banana in all three note levels.

Absolutely delicious and perfect for summer. I've been a big fan of CSP fragrance since 1999 with the lovely glass blue bottles. Les Soleil Enfants, Tiare, Fruits Sauvages, and of course Vanille Abricot. And despite not liking the scent of real bananas at all (!) I usually enjoy an interpretation of banana as long as it doesn't border on Laffy Taffy or Runts. I know, when it comes to banana I'm super picky. CSP hits it just right. A natural interpretation of banana, sweet, and tropical. Unfortunately little lasting power which is typical for most of their fragrances, save Vanille Abricot.

You know how banana pudding is usually made with banana slices and vanilla pudding? Add a generous splash of rum to that and you've got the idea the perfumer is going for here. It's one of the few vanillas I can wear in hot weather, but that's probably because it makes me think of being on the beach of some tropical island with a fruity cocktail in my hand. The banana doesn't last, but the creamy vanilla wafer does, at least for a few hours. A compliment-getter because there really aren't a lot of banana-forward scents out there.

The opening of this similar to a candied banana cream pie with hints of sweet orange. This is sweet but not overwhelmingly so, it feels sweet...but with intention and body to it. The heart leads way to a bit of a greener banana with hints of a honeyed sweetness and a floral touch. The dry down has remnants of the banana but focuses more on a sweet rum and vanilla smell. It’s boozy, creamy, and sweet, with hints of fruitiness. This gourmand is simple but it works wonderfully and smells spot on to its name.

Ooh, this is so good! I didn’t grow up eating artificial banana flavored candy, so VB doesn’t evoke these kinds of associations for me. I experience a very creamy vanilla with a freshly peeled banana note on top that lifts the fragrance and gives it a lighter, greener feel. My teen is obsessing about all things banana, this was her birthday present. But once in a while I sneak a spray, roll my eyes 👀 with pleasure and pat myself on the back for a giving her a very high quality frag :-)

a VERY genuine scent of super ripe bananas. you have to like bananas to like this scent. very smooth and creamy, but clean and fresh. this one is odd, because it's a sweet scent (obviously) but it's not exactly a warm musky type scent. i could easily wear this in springtime, not only winter. this is a gem! especially if you like the smell of bananas, it's a must! unfortunately, i'm not a fan of bananas.. actually, i sort of hate bananas. it's just a nice addition to my collection.

So good, such a 🤤 gourmand! As everyone says, the banana note does disappear quickly. :( I'm going to try to recreate the scent if my sample doesn't improve... Update: It's much better on clothes and lasts for a few hours. Not enough for me, but it's totally delectable while it's there, so much so that I decided to get a full 100 ml bottle! This one reminded me to only keep the perfumes that I LOVE and that bring me joy. I don't need a hundred bottles that I never reach for.

mmmm mm mm!!! got this in the mail today and was soo happy!! it was another blind buy - i obsessed over the banana note and had purchased a couple perfumes from that category. and im so glad i got this one! it really does smell like bananes - real, ripe, juicy bananas, mixed with delicious sweet vanilla. i absolutely love it! and yes, i do like smelling like bananas! i just wish it lasted longer because the lasting power is unfortunmately like that of a body mist. :(

This starts with an artificial banana but quickly it subsides and you are left with a creamy banana pudding with vanilla wafers on top. Even if you don’t like bananas give this a try! It’s delicious warm and comforting. This is my favorite Vanille fragrance from this line. I wish they made this in a EDP (I have to drench myself to make it last) but the price is reasonable so I will put up with the longevity issue because it is so delicious!

Love it! It is 1000% banana. I'm with everyone else who just wanted to have something sweet, foody and reminiscent of good times. It was a blind buy for me too, but if you know you want something this specific, how can you go wrong? It's great for layering (I'm wearing it with L'Instant right now!) but is also so nice and comforting to wear alone. Perfect for kind of an odd ball fragrance! I would call it cute :-)

This is delectable - it smells exactly like one of those yummy, banana toffees from the sweet shop - sweet, creamy, vanillary and bananary - uber delicious! Unfortunately it is tantalisingly fleeting,and lasts for a really disappointingly short time. It makes for a wonderful, comforting bedtime fragrance. If they would only reformulate this to make it last longer, it would make a great summertime signature scent

Wow, I really like this one, but I’m a huge CSP vanilla fan! I got a free travel spray of vanille banane when I ordered a refill of my favourite CSP scent, abricot vanille. I can see myself wearing this a lot in summer. I find it a touch warmer & creamier and slightly less sweet than the apricot EDT. It’s a keeper! I Wish that lovely banana would stick around a bit longer, but most top notes don’t last long.

I was never a fan of banana-flavored candies, but along comes Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Banane and my nose is like, “absolutely, yes please!” It opens as banana Runts, banana Laffy Taffy, banana Jello pudding. Mellows out pretty quickly into a more general banana pudding dessert scent (with Nilla Wafers and whipped cream) and then into a basic sweet vanilla. This is a mood lifter for sure.

This smells exactly like the banana candies they have in the candy machines , it’s in a fruit mix but it’s a banana shape , smells like that at first , then dries down into a vanillaroma car air freshener, I personally love this and now I want to smell a bunch of others , it’s super sweet, I will be able to layer this with a ton of other scents . Slightly like pina colada also in the dry down

I fell in love with this scent🥰Its so yummy and captivating. However, as one lover of this scent mentioned, its very odd that someone would create such a beautiful scent with no lasting power. TOPS: 15-20 mins-on skin, on clothing, on linen. So unfair. But if the creators decide to make an intense version of this scent, I’ll stick to my sample vial..tragic but beautiful

omg im getting a backup of this right now. this is SOOOO GOOD! banana never smelt better. this smells like a realistic banana pudding, so delicous!! perfect all season fragrance! 🍌 the only thing i wished about this fragrance is the longevity. omg even with a good amount of sprays the smell is completely gone. i wish this were beast mode!! :(

This is a very straightforward perfume. You get creamy banana and vanilla which results in a scent that smells exactly like banana milk. I can't see this being a perfume to wear for events much less a signature scent, but it just smells so fun and delicious. It makes me very happy and fills me with nostalgia because I love banana milk :).

VB is so delicious and beautiful! It’s perplexing to me why someone would create such a beautiful scent only to have zero longevity. I get that businesses think they’ll make more money that way, but that’s such short-sighted thinking. I just wish this lasted longer... as it is, I won’t buy a fb of something that lasts 15 minutes.

YUM. Yummy, retro 80s, Banana Boat yumminess. Very distinct banana up front, softer banana after the first hour. I never fully lose the banana. I sometimes mix this with Vittoria Apuana or Hansa Yellow to add some banana leaf for a bit of green, feminine freshness. Every day summer scent. It makes my mouth water.

Purchased this while on vacay in Miami. It gives me a very fun laffy taffy note with a hint of creamy vanilla. I did layer it with TF Soleil Blanc as suggested by @KabukiSummer and it works! To me its not super long lasting but my friend said she could still smell it on me when I thought I couldn’t.

A novelty vanilla perfume, I love it! Novelty because of the banana whiff you get at first ( it reminds me of a banana doll from strawberry shortcake collection), but as many mentioned, unfortunately it doesn’t last much. You are left with the vanilla extreme that CSP have beautifully done.

Banana cream pie, my fiance loves it. I think its a little bit like those banana hard candies you find, this scent is NOT for everyone. Undeniably delicious and short lasting, but the price is good and its discontinued, so if this sounds appealing get it now! The reviews are spot on.

I love this! Longevity is not that good, so I constantly have to reapply, but I don’t mind because it’s so addictive. And the first sprays smells sooo good 🤤 Smells like fried banana with vanilla ice cream. Can recommend for serious gourmand lovers.

Literally vanilla banana ice cream. It’s so good though I’ve only tested it twice. My mom really liked it and it’s very gourmand edible and sweet. 🍌🍦🍨 if you’re on a budget I’d suggest getting it 🤷♀️

This is a younger sweet smell maybe for 15-25 year olds. It doesn't smell artificial or cheap, but there is def a younger sweetness to it. It's not the gross pediatric medicine banana smell, which is great, but upon first spray the banana is a bit much for me personally. The vanilla smells a lot like a vanilla candle, again I like that! I think it might be the almond that gives a creaminess, warm, comfort. Reminds me a tiny bit of Gwen Stefani's Jingle G xmas perfume. The banada fades after it dries down. I didn't detect any orange notes.I wouldn't buy it and Im not sure if I'd keep if gifted, but it is a nice pleasant scent. I like it. BC it stills so close to the skin it might make a goody body spray.Sits close to skin. I think it could be worn all year round, besides summer BC it might be too cloying, but it does have a beachy vibe so maybe on non-humid summer days it'd be good. It's not really 'heavy' enough for night time (think date nights), but it would be nice to spray and snuggle up in a blanket for comfort. Easy to wear daily. I don't think it will last very long on my skin tbh. It's feminine and the cost is way overpriced. The more I smell the more I like, there is a sweet warm biscuit note, which must be the vanilla. It lasted longer than I expected, I could smell it on my wrist about 10 hours later. This company usually makes nice nature inspired smelling perfume, so far I find that they lean a bit more on the sweet side than the fresh/bright side, but I've only tried 3 other perfumes for this company so far...more to come!

The smell of real ripe bananas is not my favorite, but I love everything banana scented for some reason. So I was happy to find a tester bottle of Vanille Banane in a store. The banana note in the opening in unmistakeable. Fruity, very sweet, creamy even a bit juicy, fresh and warm. My boyfriend said it smells like bubblegum and I guess he‘s not wrong either. Maybe it‘s a banana flavored bubblegum scent. Anyways, I think I get a hint of the orange to lighten things up and also lots and lots of the typical bringt, summery CSP vanilla. If you have tried one of their vanilla scents, you know the kind: Sweet, creamy and tropical, it works in summer and winter. As the fragrance dries down, the banana moves to the background and the vanilla becomes the main player. I think rum and banana leaf are noticeable notes, too, though. On my skin, the scent gets slightly smokey from the rum, and on the blotter I get more of a green leafy note. BUT this is really mainly a CSP vanilla fragrance and not too much else. It‘s a shame the banana note doesn‘t linger more. The drydown smells delicious, too, but this kind of scent can feel monotonous after a while (I experienced this with CPS‘s Vanille Abricot). If they made a 15 ml travel size I would get it, but there’s no need for 100 ml.

I was very intrigued when I discovered this fragrance but also a bit cautious since I knew this might smell like an artificial banana candy and I was wondering who would want to smell like that. The interesting notes and the possibility of this being good made me really wanna try it regardless! The opening is straight up sweet artificial banana candy. But like others have said that disappears very quickly, in less than a minute, and it turns into a creamy, lactonic vanilla with only a hint of banana – definitely not like an obvious in your face banana scent. It’s more so the banana leaf you can smell. That change turns it into a very wearable and delicious perfume! If you are worried about it being unwearable or straight up artificial banana candy like I was, I would say don’t be afraid of that, and give it a try. If you like gourmand lactonic scents you might like this one.

Bought this on a whim in 2018 and realized I hated how synthetic it seemed so I put away until I decided to try it again today. I am pleasantly surprised. Banana laffy taffy blast which dissipates into condensed milk/dulce de leche with vanilla. No other notes whatsoever and I wish I could smell rum but no. I appreciate that the banana does not stay even though it's like realistic candy I wouldn't want to smell banana laffy taffy all day. The custard vanilla is not too sweet which is wonderful and definitely my favorite part (I cannot do overly sweet scents; they always cause a headache.) The dulce de leche and vanilla would be perfection if not for the artificial scratchiness. It's not terrible or very loud but it exists. Still, it's fun to wear and I'm glad to have rediscovered it in my collection. Edit to add: Drydown reminds me of crema di latte from Hilde Soliani.
