Vanille Blackberry

I am confused by the negative reviews here! What a comforting, clean-smelling, and cozy fragrance. I purchased a 30 ml and want to bathe in it. This is how I see it: a beautiful woman, wearing jeans (or leggings - because who truly enjoys wearing jeans), and a white t-shirt strolling the street. She glows, she looks mysterious, and most of all, she looks effortlessly classy. She doesn't need a flower or oriental bomb fragrance to force her elegance. A little bit of blackberry and a few other white musky notes do the trick in simplicity. Less is more. This is what I want to smell like everyday. A little tart/sour, a little sweet, a lot clean, and a bit of white musk. I don't smell any jasmine, nor rose, nor pepper, and only a *tiny* bit of vanilla. (I'm so glad I don't smell jasmine because I can't tolerate that note.)

This is so so beautiful! I got this in a swap I did with my friend that I met from here :) typically I wouldn’t be into sweet scents but the last year or so if been more into fruity sweet scents and this is so beautiful! I do find that it seems to dye off quickly, but my sinuses are a bit full at the moment. Either way this is the perfect fruity sweet scent that doesn’t leave that teeny bobber smell that is sickly! I wish this brand was cheaper!

Vanille Blackberry is so lovely and delicate. As someone who has spent every summer of her thirty years picking blackberries, this smells quite realistic - on me, anyway. It isn't a smell of sweet, ripe, falling blackberries, but not-yet-ripe, slightly tart ones. Truly delicious. Layers well with vanilla, of course!

CSP Vanille Blackberry is a rich deep berry with vanilla, just like the name says. Really beautiful. Similar to Lancôme Midnight Rose with a better drydown and finish on my own skin. Especially luscious to wear during harvest season from August through October. Full bottle worthy for me.

The BlackBerry that i was searching for. Creamy, tart and sweet. I don't get any vanilla, not a problem since i bought it for the sake of BlackBerry. 🙂

Vanille Blackberry - This one is nice! It reminds me a lot of Love Spell which used to be sold at La Senza, which was my perfume in grade 6. It's starts fruity and sweet, I think Love Spell is more sour and has better sillage. Britney Spears's Midnight Fantasy is also similar, way cheaper, and a huge sillage. You can def smell the blackberry and candied lemon. I don't really get the pink pepper note, which I usually love on scents (Dior Absolutely Blooming). Some people have compared it to Lancome's Tresor Midnight Rose, which I have and love. TMR is more mature (18-30) has better sillage and longevity and more of a rose note, I don't really get the rose note in VB. It's a bit of a younger feminine perfume ages 10-18. Would be good for day or night any time of year. The sillage is close to be skin. I like it and feel happy as soon as I spray it, but I wouldn't buy it or keep it if gifted. It's just too young smelling for me and the silage isn't good. A few hours later and it smells like a fruity spritzer. Very faint! It's about 24 hours later and there is still a faint scent, it's lasted a lot longer than I thought it would, it's eternal!

I wish this scent was more nuanced on my skin. For me, I just get the blackberry and vanilla. Granted, both notes smell fantastic, and I'm not usually so picky about complexity. However, the longevity is such a letdown so mixed with the simple 2-note formulation (to my nose), it means this perfume is essentially a $40 body spray. Pacifica kills it with body sprays, both in price and smell and I feel like Vanille Blackberry could easily be a body spray from Pacifica that cost $12. I don't often regret perfume purchases, but I do with this one. I already used 1/3 of my 30 ml bottle after wearing less than a dozen times. So, this one isn't going to stay in my collection long. It will get used up fairly quickly. I won't repurchase, but I'm not writing off this house completely. Hopefully the longevity in other fragrances from Comptoir Sud Pacifique are more impressive.

It smells quite juvenile and fun, like a higher quality scent that Britney Spears would release. The scent is literally blue raspberry cotton candy - you know, that artificial tart berry taste that is always an electric blue colour. It’s more sour on the opening, then leans into candy floss in the dry down. Also, it has a very Bath & Bodywork’s type smell, reminds me a lot of Cotton Candy Clouds. Yummy but not worth the price when the scent, and longevity are basically identical to B&BW and you can get like... 200ml+ at B&BW for $5 a pop during their sales. The slight improvement in quality isn’t worth it. This scent would do better if the atomizer was like the LUSH body spray atomizers that unleash tons of product in every spray. It’s the type of scent that you need a lot of and is enjoyable to bathe in.

Vanille Blackberry Oh I enjoy this one veryyy much, but it needs a name change. Heavier lemon/bergamot upon first whiff, then maybe a slight blackberry/blueberry nod, but vanilla and woods and CITRUS are definitely more prominent. I still enjoy it but I want more blackberry. There is also a floral uplifting background here too that works well with the citrus. It’s not rose but rose-like ish. I’m not a fan of rose but I like this. Maybe this needs help with a layer to pull it out and tone down the citrus. I’ll probably try it with a berry lemonade mist. Had to reapply several times to test then noticed it was an edt. Be warned, it wears off in a flash.

At first spray has a strawberry doll head vibe. Must be the citrus mixed with the blackberries. This gives way within 5 minutes to the heart of the perfume. Yes, blackberries/sweet berry, but the pepper/rose combine to give me licorice! In a complementary way, like how Pink Sugar uses it to tone down the cotton candy. A couple of hours later it is a sweet berry musk, with a touch of... cardboard. Not in a bad way. Just paper/fiber.

I really wish they made this a more fruity floral! If they enhanced the blackberry with a strawberry or raspberry note and maybe added some honeysuckle it would elevate the scent a lot! I absolutely love the scent because I’m a big gourmand and fruity perfume girl, but this smells so much like a body mist and not an expensive perfume!

Dissapointing. I really like the typical Csp vanilla but I don't detect the usual Csp vanilla. This is more...boring. Its not that I don't like it, it's just a repeat of so many other fragrances. Going to the swap/sell shelf :( Also good point ellebelle!

This is very tart. I really do like it, but I wish that I could smell more vanilla. I mostly smell blackberry backed by the bergamot and lemon, but with a hint of vanilla.. This seems like it could work very well as a unisex fragrance.

Overall I enjoy this scent. The blackberry smell for me is more of the plant- smell.. like the wild blackberries smell. I think it's a clean scent, but I don't think it has much lasting power (it is an EDT, keep in mind).

A nice pick-me-up scent. It's not complex nor incredibly realistic but it's a cute fruity fragrance for warmer days. It's a more intense version of CSP Mora Bella but not that much more potent / longer-lasting.

Pretty straightforward to my nose- just a simple fruity vanilla scent. It's pleasant to me, but also quite forgettable. Not a love, not a hate.

It smells exactly like earl grey, its definitely heavy on bergamot and lemon notes.

I received a sample of this in my glam bag from ipsy this month. I'm surprised that it's supposed to be a vanilla-blackberry fragrance. While both notes are a definite part of the fragrance profile, I do not find them to be the main notes on my skin. Instead, a rather bitter bergamot is the most prominent. The blackberry in it is not at all a sweet scent. I disagree with this fragrance being considered gourmand; any fruits in this scent are completely without extra sugar or sweetness. The scent even hints at a whiff of bug spray - which at least reminds me of summer camping trips. Honestly, this is not a very good fragrance in my opinion. Its description compared to what I'm smelling is way off. Update (based on realizations while I was writing my ipsy review) : I've found that the unsweetened blackberry and unsweetened vanilla notes have important supporting roles in this fragrance. Hours later, when the scent is but a slight impression lingering so very close to the skin, it becomes an ever so subtle hint of sweetness in blackberry and vanilla. Interesting. I think perhaps this perfume is more complex than I initially gave it credit for. The perfume is still mis-named, in my opinion, because the bergamot is so strong. It is in no way a simple, straightforward blackberry-vanilla. What you anticipate versus what you get - it's so unexpected! (That can be good or bad, depending on what you like and what you're looking for.)

When I was in college, my signature scent was “Falling in love” by Philosophy. This was because I was gifted a bottle from a family friend who claimed that if I were a perfume, this one would be me. I took the compliment into my soul (as we do) and went through maybe 3-4 bottles of it. I’m not sure if the formula changed or my nose went “blind “ to it...but longevity is crap now and I can barely ever detect it on myself. This is exactly what I needed to replace it! Blackberry vanilla just subtle enough to remind me of youth. But also a pink pepper punch to remind me that I’m MUCH older now. It brings back that carefree feeling but adds a little spice. I’m happy I found this. It’s familiar but modern too. For purely nostalgic reasons...this is a YES from me. I love it.

Eh- I bought this as an upscale(ish) dupe for bath n body works long discontinued Black Raspberry Vanilla EDP. While the scent is nearly spot on as a match- this being greener, fresher, less sweet and BNBs scent having a deeper more vanilla base to it. I really do like the scent of this- it’s a candy blackberry forward scent that’s sharp n clean, but has ZERO longevity!!(likely because it’s an EDT). I feel like I spray it- and it’s gone in 15 minutes. Huge bummer because I’d bought a huge bottle after using a sampler- and the company didn’t accept returns. Would not recommend purchasing- super overpriced for a scent that simply doesn’t last. Will keep looking for my BNB dupe that lasts a bit longer. :(

It’s not bad. This however is in the realm of grape cough syrup for me. I don’t think it is for those over 20. But... Vanille Blackberry has potential. Good for mixing with strong, masculine fragrances. Oud Wood by TF for example; If you wanna be delectable or eaten perhaps ( rip Armie Hammer) this perfume is for you.

While many notes comprise this scent, just the vanilla, and blackberry are evident. It's a simple blend but extremely sweet. It's also quaint. It reminds me of old-fashioned hard candy - fruity and syrupy. Perfect for a young perfume wearer or someone who adores confectionery. Worth a try if you like sweet scents.

From the bottle smells like Philosophy Falling in Love. On my skin, it turns into slightly powdery play dough which masks the vanilla and fruit. Not unpleasant, but not for me as I was expecting a much sweeter offering. For now I will stick with the Philosophy since it is cheaper and plays more nicely on me.

Citrus is overpowering, the lemon leaves little to no room for the other ingredients- kind of ironic considering it's named Vanilla Blackberry. This scent isn't terrible but it smells more like a body spray than a luxurious perfume.

The sweet blackberry is very prominent. I am not sure what makes a scent seem like an air freshener or a shampoo, but for me, this scent falls into that category. It was fun to try, but I would never buy a whole bottle.

Astringent and short lived, a scent profile ideal for a cleaner. Breaks down into something a bit softer before it disappears saving me the trouble of washing it off.

Reminds me exactly of a roll on glitter from Bath and Body Works that I owned when I was in middle school. Blue raspberry cotton candy.

So unfortunately rather than any of the sweet subtle notes all I get from this perfume is pink pepper, lemon, and cashmere woods. Not exactly a winning combination. It's sufficiently sweet but I don't get vanilla or blackberry, not even on dry-down - although I can kiiiind of smell what they were going for. It's just extremely pepper-y on me and I can't get past it, even when layered :(

The name of the fragrance is unfortunately misleading—the fragrance is entirely lemon-forward with any other detectable notes barely coming through behind it. The lemon in this fragrance is very reminiscent lemonade, so if you love the smell of berry lemonade I think you would really enjoy this. Not for me but would definitely appeal to someone who loves a citrus fragrance.

Unfortunately I could not detect any vanilla or blackberry. This fragrance is very heavy and just gave me headache.

Vanille Blackberry is quiet and careful, although definitely present and quite longlasting for an EdT. I get a good four to five hours out of one spray on each arm. The vanilla is lost on me. The blackberries, however, are present from start to finish, which is what I wanted from Vanille Blackberry. Unfortunately, the blackberries are very sweet, almost rotten. Apart from the blackberries I think Vanille Blackberry is very powdery, but I can't recognize any of the other listed notes.

Completely one dimensional. Overly sweet with no balance or depth; it honestly just smells like syrup. I did actually try to layer this with some fragrances I find too bitter or green, but since this is an EdT (with projection and longevity to match), it ended up being completely masked by any EdP I tried to layer it with.

This is all citrus and no blackberry, then it disappears. I like the citrus scent of the lemon in the opening but I do not get any of the other notes, no blackberry, no vanilla, no cashmere woods, no nothing. Longevity is poor, three hours is being very generous. I went though an entire 5ml decant in eight hours. 1/10.

this smelled a lot cheaper and more artificial to me than other sud comptoir pacific scents... and it's like the sharp artificial fruitiness hit me in the face and immediately gave me a horrible headache.

Hmmm these reviews are so interesting! I sprayed this on in-store and I got a big hit of cotton candy and I loved it. I always come online to see what others have said about fragrances that I’m interested in and am surprised no one else has mentioned cotton candy for this one. I am going to have to try this again just to be sure of what I’m smelling before I buy a full bottle.

I just received several samples in the mail, and CSP Vanille Blackberry was one I was excited to try. I’m sorry to say I’m a little disappointed. Rather than smelling like blackberry or vanilla, I noticed the familiar smell of Lemon Pledge dusting spray! Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy the smell in my house, just not so much on me. I definitely prefer Vanille Abricot.

smells exactly like those little hard candies I had in Hungary when I was in kindergarten. Wish I could post a picture here, try googling "Frutti savanyú cukor" for the bigger picture, I mean the one in red. I don't say this as a bad thing, its just evolving childhood memories and cavities.

NO NO NO!!!!!! I am a huge fan of this fragrance house but this is a fail for me.It smells like a cheap toxic berry flavored body spray mixed with berry yogurt.I can't recommend this at all.Stick with Vanille Abricot or Vanille Coco where the vanilla is actually present in the dry down.

This smells SO yummy. Definitely one of my new favorites. The blackberry seems to completely dwarf the vanilla, though. In their other perfumes I definitely smell the vanilla with whatever accompanying fragrance note, but in this one all I smell is a sweet berry scent.

I love it! Such a lovely tempting and very natural blackberry with light vanilla accord. Not stuffy, soft gourmand fragrance, maybe not typical for the brand, because vanilla is indeed not so heavy and sweet as in other perfumes.

Lemon comes off strong with the blackberry notes in the opening. Like a blackberry lemonade. Turns a little sunscreeny on me mixed with fruity pebbles 😂 Going to pass on the full bottle. Longevity and Sillage is very poor.

The same scent DNA as "Among the Clouds" by BBW and "Falling in Love" by Philosophy. They all share that vanilla spun sugar and berry sweetness, as well as rather poor longevity.

Opens with citrus and pink pepper with rose note. Nice, easy to reach scent, but not a full bottle worthy. It's a crowd pleaser, unoffensive fragrance though.

Isn't mure the French word for blackberry? Seems odd to have vanilla with French spelling but not blackberry lol. Curious nonetheless to smell this.

If you like blackberry fragrances, you will like this one. It is similar to Mora Bella, but it has more longevity. Sweet, but not overly so.

I cannot smell this, at all, about 50 second after spraying. Initial burst of berries then nothing. Sadly disappointed.

I smell blueberry rather than blackberry. Sits very close to the skin and has quality of an air freshener.
