Vanille Coco

I sprayed this once on my arm at work and it sent three women on the other side of my cubicle into a frenzy! None of them could figure out what that DELICIOUS smell was and one woman almost sprayed cleaning fluid on herself thinking it was the source of the scent. The other women stopped her just in time. They kept saying, "It's like, cocoa butter, vanilla beans, cookie dough! God, where is it coming from?! Don't you smell that? Is it you?" Vanille Coco is a store-made banana"flavored" cream pie with both natural and artificial ingredients. The dry down is a big dollop of vanilla whipped topping with lingering traces of banana filling. It's not too rich for Summer, though it's also a comfort in that icy meat locker otherwise known as my office. Lasts all day on clothes, half a day on hot skin. projection is moderate. I have not tried the official banana/vanilla fragrance from Comptoir Sud Pacifique, but this is the creamy cheap summer pie of dreams. I refer to it as "the banana pie smell" when talking to my boyfriend about it, and he always knows I mean Vanille Coco.

A very sweet treat. It does smell like vanilla frosting. Creamy milky coconut, vanilla and whipped cream. I have a vial splash sample, so I don't know if put too much, but the projection starts heavy, then after 1-2 hours it's more moderate and less overly sweet, around 3-5 hours I can still smell it but softer. I would reapply after 4-6 hours. On me it's pretty much the same scent all the way, linear but good, so I'm not complaining. The perfume reminds me a lot of Ariana Grande Cloud, I would say Vanille Coco is sweeter, less mature and more beachy. It makes me feel like I'm on a fantasy tropical island. I love it, the scent is yummy and the price isn't that high at Sephora, but I don't feel the rush to buy it since I have Cloud. I will have zero problem finish my sample, it's a fun gourmand fragrance. I'm curious for Vanille Banane for the banana note even if people say the note doesn't last, if there is a banana note in Vanille Coco then it's well blend in, I don't really smell it.

This has been my signature scent for years, I've tried finding new ones but I always come back to this. I smell every note listed, yes - even the banana, luckily. I'm sometimes torn between this and Vanille Abricot (can stop smelling my wrists with either) but this is better for day to day if you want a little more than just sweet apricot. It's powdery from the heliotrope so it adds a depth that you don't get from the aforementioned. Don't get me wrong there are days where all I want to smell like is tooth achingly sweet sugar but this is generally my go-to and it's an inoffensive, crowd pleaser. It also boosts my mood in the winter when I look outside and all I see is a blanket of snow, yet I can still smell like summer in a bottle, so that's also a benefit. Some people say it doesn't last or project on them but somehow I get a full days wear and great projection out of all of CSP fragrances.

Hands down this is my favorite coconut fragrance. If you are looking for a creamy sweet coconut look no further :). The banana cream opening is soft and unusual. It lasts no longer than a few minutes before you reach an explosive heart of creamy coconut vanilla that fades away only to a base of more creamy coconut vanilla :P. I guess the banana does hang around a little but I wouldn't dare to call it a banana fragrance. I would say it is 50% vanilla, 40% coconut, and 10% banana cream. The sweetness is gourmand level for sure. Coco vanille lasts a good old 6-8 hours...while others around you are bound to be thinking yummy, yummy. This fragrance is adorable and snuggly, it gets me in the mood to be nice to people. Maybe this should be part of my pms emergency kit? Biggest warning I can put out there is don't wear if you're trying to avoid eating coconut cream pie!

This is ridiculously delicious! This is not just vanilla and coconut folks. At first I definitely get a good dose of sweet ripe banana. Then the waxy sweet coconut begins mixing in with the banana and produces a really nice tropical vibe. Then the cherrylike powdery heliotrope makes it's way in along with the vanilla and thick whipped cream and it turns into a dessertlike treat! Even though I get a hearty dose of vanilla and cream - I can tell this is a tropical confection. I definitely smell the coconut and banana here, and even though I do get a bit of the plasticky cherry chewable tylenol vibe, it doesn't turn me away. I was looking for this type of fragrance in Coco Extreme, I found it here. Very sweet, very delightful, whipped cream, cherry powdered, cocobanana treat. A fun offbeat tropical gourmand. I have been aching to try his range for ages, seeing it was on offer 100ml for £ 21 at m&s I couldn't resist, I smelt every fragrance and was disappointed by most especially the "cult" vanille apricot, which I found pretty boring, I sprayed a hefty ton of vanille cocoa on not thinking too much of it and went home, however this subtle delicious smell of " warm milky chocolate " kept catching my nose , only very soft, but enough to make me get back in the car and drive back to buy it, I love vanilla but hate that " play dough" smell....this is gorgeously discreet , not as candy ish as pink sugar but just sweet enough to entice me, I love " creme bouquet" by stila but find it can bring on a headache if I over heat, this is a much much softer alternative, I love it & I'm quite fussy!!! Give it a go if your a " gourmet" perfume lover!!

Yum! Vanille Coco is perfect for when I'm craving some sweet vanilla. I purchased my bottle from Sephora in 2014 and this stuff is divine. A cold buttercream opening with a long lasting delicious vanilla heart drying down to sweet candy floss. The coconut adds a nice subtle touch. I love being surrounded in this smell all day and my 30ml bottle is quickly dwindling which says alot because I have a good sized collection of perfumes. Of course when this bottles gone I'll be getting the 100ml. This is a great vanilla for warm and cold weather and suitable for any occasion. Can't say enough about how good this stuff smells. Thanks to Caken'cuddles for mentioning Vanille Coco on the boards. I tried it because of your recommendation and wow, this stuff is the bomb!

Vanille Coco is a true beauty. It’s everything I’ve been searching for in a beach-y coconut scent. The opening was true banana and fresh whip cream. Not that cool whip that comes in a container, no, the real deal made with heavy cream and whipped until the peaks are stiff. Nothing about this scent comes off as synthetic on me, which is surprising because a lotttttt of perfumes do. To me, it’s reminiscent of the tanning oil my mom would buy throughout my childhood. When she finally let me use it myself I started to wear it most summer days because I LOVED the scent... this is that scent for me. My sample won’t last long and it will be my next full purchase.

This is my fifth Comptoir Sud Pacifique fragrance. If you love vanilla scent, this is the house for you to look into. No one does Vanilla as good as this house (if you re interested in gourmands like me) Initially I bought the vintage version of this fragrance that come in a tin like bottle that i loved so much that I ordered my 100ml bottle but to my disappointment the new juice in glass bottles doesnt smell as delicious as the old one. By that i am not saying that the fragrance is not good, it is delicious and i loveee it BUT not as good as the old sadly. It is a great buy. Mouth watering warm coco vanilla for spring/summer.

A soft, sweet, gorgeous scent which would work for summer, winter, day or night in my opinion, although I do understand the references to it being a tropical fragrance. Upon first spray I get a blast of banana, then the vanilla and coconut come into play, all together they settle beautifully onto my skin creating a sweet creamy dessert. As a lover of sweet scents, this works perfectly for me. It isn't cloying or overpowering, neither do I get any artificial, chemical smells from it. This fragrance has made my top five, and I just received it in a swap today! I can't stop smelling my wrists!

If I had read the notes on this I never would have tried it but a sample came in a traveling box and I really love it even though I hate bananas and do not like any coconut unless it's in my candy bar. However, the blend of notes and that strong vanilla is absolutely beautiful and I have found myself sniffing my arm all day. The composition is certainly different than the mixture of notes would indicate. I do pick up the coconut and occasionally the banana but they are so faint and not distracting in any way. I'm going to look for a bottle. Message me if you have a bottle and want to swap!

I love that banana top note which lasts quite some time (and has been eliminated recently according to the producers' webpage). It makes this my happy fragrance for a good mood and not being taken too seriously. The drydown is the exact scent of vanilla crescent cookies! When I wear this, people around me are often disappointed when finding out that I don't carry a "super delicious cake" with me, but it's only perfume. As I personally prefer banana over vanilla crescent cookies, I would probably rebuy the (relaunched?) Vanille Banane instead of the reformulated Vanille Coco.

The opening is very alcohol and smells like vodka mixed with chocolate. The openings very strong and synthetic but after a couple minutes it starts to smell delicious. The alcohol dissipates and it turns into a whipped chocolate and vanilla scent. I don't get any banana oh, I have the old tin can before the reformulation. I wonder if anybody else smells this, in the dry down it smells exactly like vanilla cigars before they burn. I find this to be pretty long lasting and with moderate sillage. It definitely smells like a vanilla cigar about an hour after putting it on.

This has been my favourite perfume for a while now, I'm devastated by how difficult it's getting to find where I live lol. It does pull quite vanilla-y (according to people who have said I smell like french vanilla/cookies/sweet things while wearing it) but I personally can really detect the coconut. It lasts a moderate amount of time on me, so I carry a smaller bottle around (when I'm not rationing it, c'mon CSP I'm running out...). The scent is consistent, I don't find it changes on dry-down. Really just a nice sweet summery perfume for coconut/vanilla enjoyers.

I just love this! Now- the top must be banana cream and heliotrope. Don't know heliotrope, but I smell of banana cream a very long time. Not faint. Half of day you get bananas with paper-like vanilla (why paper? dunno, vanilla has pretty structure- kinda dry? velvety, unusual must be because mixed with cocos). Next scent develops into very sugary vanilla with hint of cocos and still banana cream. Reminds of Pink Sugar very much. It's just perfect for fall/winter I'll say. Stays long. PS. !!! Look at the notes! ? Has it been reformulated?

Thanks! Update: This one is safe to buy in its newest incarnation. I had the old one, and I just bought the new one and they are identical. Wish I could say the same for Vanille Abricot, but Vanille Coco was always my favorite of the two anyway. Yay!

Nostalgic - it's a perfect replica of a generic sunscreen I'd wear growing up. No ylang-ylang or other yellow tropical flowers - yay! It's simple, non-offensive, fades quickly and does not suffocate everyone around me. I'd wear it at home, sometimes layering it with something long-lasting for a quick, fun "summer" boost. I'll also bring a full bottle to the beach because it needs frequent re-application to be appreciated. The price is fair for the scent and performance.

I was gifted a sample from a friend and I figured it would just be like meh smells like most other gourmands I don’t really like but boy was I wrong! This is stunning! It smells like this beautiful mixture of gourmand smells that for once don’t make me smell like a teenage girls purchase from a Claire’s store of cupcake fondant icing sprinkles or something like that lol I’m not good at explain notes especially gourmand ones but this is heavenly

I am dying for an awesome banana perfume. It is not a popular idea or smell in perfumery, but ever since we made the smell ourselves in chemistry class I've been hankering for a banana-bomb. This is nearly it, the opening is full of banana candies and I love it but within 10 minutes it is just super sweet vanilla. It is still nice but not as bananaish as I want. I want a small bottle of this nevertheless.

mmm, I smell the coconut more when it's just been sprayed, but after a little while the smell strongly reminds me of yellow cake batter.. delicious! Hehe, I love very yummy fragrances ^-^ Some coconut, but mostly yellow cake batter, on me at least, which I think is fantastic :) vanille coco- yellow or white cake with coconut shavings

Opens sugary, vanillic and coconutty, and stays that way. The smell is quite milky and slightly rich, yet artificial. This one grew on me way more than I thought it would. Despite how seemingly un-special this one was at first, I love it now. Great for all year! Fun to apply and reapply and reapply in the hot summer.

This smells almost exactly like, with just a hint of creamier, warmness than if I had just used palmers cocoa butter lotion on me. I can hardly tell the difference. Which is odd but at the same time nice for layering with that lotion if you enjoy that type of scent. I do. Unfortunately my SO isn't a fan :(

very straightforward vanilla and coconut. It’s a yellow cake type of vanilla, fluffy and sweet, with milky coconut. Coconut here doesn’t read tropical or sunscreen esque, just straight to the point, creamy, milky, and sweet coconut paired with that desert like vanilla. A fun and simplistic composition

This is a beautiful fragrance! It starts out being an unsweetened coconut. As it dries down it turns into a gorgeous vanilla. I love to layer this with my Dolce & Gabanna Garden and a few other scents. It lasts a long long time and adds depth to my other fragrances. It's lovely to wear alone also.

I love vanilla and I love coconuts. This is perfection in the bottle. Coconut and vanilla bliss that I find totally addictive. The scent is not complex but it does not need to be. It smells gorgeous and on my skin it lasts forever. 12 hours on me without reapplying. (9.5/10)

Beautiful vanilla gourmand that’s very well blended. I don’t detect the heliotrope, which is fine with me. I get a smooth vanilla whipped cream with a touch of coconut, and some light fresh banana cream mixed in. Perfect for layering as well!

The opening smells like the tiny banana hard-candies you get out of those old gumball machines. Once that fades away, all I can smell is vanilla with barely any coconut. It still gives off that nice summery/beachy feel, though.

Just got this today, When i first sprayed it I did not like it at all and was going to return it, good thing I waited, because once it settled it smelt so f*@cking good I cant even its amazing

Vacation in a bottle ... mmmmmmmmmmm

Review is for my own reference - I got a sample from Sephora. This would make a nice stereotypical vanilla candle, and there are many cheap body sprays that would smell like this. I think this scent could be worn any season day or night, perfect setting would be summer day (think pina coladas on the beach), or night by the fire place in winter (think sweet xmas cookies). Smelling from the bottle its a yummy treat- creamy vanilla. On my skin after the dry own, the scent quickly changes and I thought I smelt something off, but then I read it has a banana note, which isn't the best smell. Not banana like the medicine or candy, but I would prefer just the creamy vanilla smell. Maybe the addition of a nut would make it deeper? Overpriced for an EDT. I might keep if gifted or consider selling. It does smell yummy, but there isn't really a complexity to it, it sits close to the skin, not sure about longevity, the banana note isn't that apeeling to me ;) I do love having the sample as a quick pick-me-up every once in a while. I do understand why so many people love the scent and I really want to try more from the company. I prefer Katy Perry's Mad Potion over this, as I would expect more from a luxury brand. For me to Love this perfume it would need: better silage, be an EDP not EDT, have more complexity (either add some nuttiness or get rid of the banana note), lower price for EDT

I like this. I wouldn’t say its a safe blind buy because it’s so unique, not your typical, department store, designer crowd pleaser. You have to be in the mood to wear it. I’m a huge vanilla lover, the vanilla extract type, not the fake vanilla in generic celebrity perfumes. I get that yummy vanilla extract in this, coconut right next to it, but not overbearing. That combination gives me a strong cocoa butter scent & the heliotrope adds a perfect touch. I don’t detect banana? Overall, this is a nice cozy scent, something to lift your mood or hit that sweet craving, nothing fancy. If I wear this in public, to work, I’d only spritz one spray, I want to be the only one smelling it because I don’t think everyone would like it, I think it’s an acquired scent. Projection power is nice, I would say others can smell it about arms length, lasting power is nice too, several hours. Strange, most people think it’s a summer tropical scent because of the coconut, but because it’s a warm gourmand, I get fall/winter vibes.I have the 30ml & I will definitely repurchase once I’m done. Now, I hesitated to add this lol, but I have to be honest. My dad vapes & he uses flavored juices, this smells EXACTLY like one of his vaping concoctions & if I think of that, it puts me off. Otherwise, if I block that outta my head, I like this.

I envy those of you who have this lasting ages on your skin. Cause the scent iitself s delicous. I usually don't have a problem with lasting power on my skin but with Vanille Coco sadly I find it literally disappears within an hour. I enjoyed the top notes tremendously and think the banana is to die for in this combo. It just might be the perfect fragrance if it was lot stronger, projected more, stayed on the skin for more than one-two hours and would hang on to that gorgeous banana note for longer than a minute. I swapped mine away, but who's to say when the craving for it kicks in again. I might just repurchase one of these days but all things considered I honestly don't think it's worth the price tag. I should just get a vanilla coconut body mist for a fraction of the price and I probably wouldn't notice much of a difference. One thing I learend though, I love banana in perfume! Now am on the hunt for a stronger longer lasting banana note...if it's out there somewhere :)

I wanted to like this so much based on the notes. However, the opening notes made me smell like a vanilla scented candle I can pick up from the grocery store for about $4, or a kids vanilla scratch and sniff sticker. Synthetic and cheap IMO-really disappointing. I don't even want to layer this with another summer fragrance because, I fear the addition of this will cheapen the other. And, considering the price point, I shouldn't have to layer this to make it wearable. After the dry down, the chemical/synthetic nature diminishes somewhat, but it doesn't really morph into anything different, it just projects less. I am looking for a natural smelling vanilla/ coconut fragrance. So, this is a pass for me. Edit: So I have been layering this with summer fragrances, and it does help amp up the vanilla and coconut in Sol Cherosa & Judith Leiber Coral. I'm changing my original review to a like. I still would not wear it alone though.

My first impression is that this scent reminds me of Polly Pocket toys that were popular back in the 90s and the early 00s. It just has kind of a sweet, plasticky yet comforting smell. If I try to look beyond that, I smell banana coconut whipped cream. For me, the banana kinda ruins this whole composition. I feel like it makes the scent a little too artificial, a little childish and hard to wear. The projection and the longevity of this fragrance didn’t blow me away. It needs to be reapplied throughout the day and kinda sits close to the skin. Overall, I think this one is hard to pull off. That being said, you might still love it, if you like tropical scents that aren’t too sharp and candy-like. Also, I think this is a good scent for quarantine days (for me at least), because it is quite comforting. I wouldn’t wear it outside, but I do enjoy these kind of comforting fragrances when I’m sitting around at home.

I used to religiously wear Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot in college. So when someone was going through their perfume drawer and parting ways with some, I thought, sure, I'll try this one for kicks. It is straightforward as Sud Pacifique's scents are. 100% vanilla, 100% coconut, and then something else becomes dominant... whipped cream! Not an everyday thing for me but this is a fun, tasty little treat for every once and a while. I never thought I'd want to smell like whipped cream but this is not bad. Edit: As a side note, I have an OLD bottle of this with the two-tone label. Based on my experience with Vanille Abricot, I believe Comptoir Sud Pacfique did a reformulation of the Vanille scents at some time after the label redesign. So my notes may not perfectly match what comes out of the newer bottles.

I am a gourmand, vanilla lover and this is to me is one of the good ones, however, in my opinion, not the best. For the price longevity is actually pretty decent, projection not so much. The notes listed are pretty spot on, i get absolutely no sunscreen smell from this, which is always good when it comes to coconut. This has more of a milky, sugary sweetness to it rather than creamy. Think a glass of hot milk mixed with a dollop of honey, consumed half-way and is now lukewarm. That and very very delicious vanilla. I think this smells delicious and pretty, wearable any season imo. The only problem is this is just a tad too sweet for my liking. But that’s completely based on my personal likes, might just be exactly what you’re looking for. This is a safe blind-buy if you like the notes

While trying Vanille Coco, I was curious about the banana note as I wasn't able to find Vanille Banane. The first hour of Vanille Coco did smell like banane flambé, to my satisfactory. Later, the banana steps back to leave its place to the coconut. However, strangely the coconut doesn't grab this opportunity. It just lingers here and there, leaving the vanilla overshadows the whole scent, which is not necessarily unpleasant. But I also detect a salty note, which makes the drydown reminiscent of a sort of vanilla flavoured sunflower seed. Not bad, but not what I prefer the most. The sillage is heavy and the longevity is at least 10 hours, and it's still going strong. I think it's a feisty sweet fragrance for fun occasions and for those who have a sweet tooth.

Vanille Coco absolutely shines! This vanilla is the vanilla of your dreams. It's just marvelous with the coconut notes. My little boy actually said he wanted to eat me up. (I think in seven year old speak that is high praise.) Oh, and I don't think I could detect the banana, but I'm sure that's because it's so well blended. I'm sure it's in there somewhere and possibly enhances the other notes? Hugely love this one and can't wait for summer to wear it. Actually, I think you could wear it whenever you want to smell yummy. Why not? * This is what I wanted the Vanille Extreme to smell like, but it failed miserably on my skin. Unfortunately it radiated a synthetic, play-doh vanilla on me...but I'll save that for another review.

This is an exceedingly simple fragrance (but enjoyable). There's no cakeiness, but it's a whipped, super creamy, super sweet, ultra plushy (almost powdery, like powdered sugar) coconut cream. It's like coconut ice cream topped with coconut cream, topped with whipped cream! A gourmond among gourmonds! I get 0 banana honestly, it's just coconut to my nose. It's linear, and remains true to the note stack for it's wear length. Mouthwatering. My goodness, will this work well if you crave this sort of thing. I like Vanilla Coconut from B&BW, but this is a notch above, they're very close cousins though. Longevity&sillage are both moderate. What a fun escapism this has been from the November weather! 🥥 🍦

This is a nice fragrance for summer. Easy, sweet, not too sticky for humid weather. Smells like the name implies, vanilla and coconut. A bit powdery because of the heliotrope I’m guessing. I don’t really smell any banana, although I wish I did. This is an easy grab, heading to the beach, summer day fun fragrance. It sits closer to my skin, which is fine. Don’t wanna choke anyone out in the heat. My one gripe, it lasts about an hour (and that’s being generous) on my skin at least. It’s a shame because this is a relaxing island getaway indeed.

This straight up smells like Danish Butter Cookies with sugar sprinkles for the whole mid through dry down - the high quality ones. The initial hit is very strong and super sweet, kind of synthetic too... and has more coconut. The coconut fades out quickly (and completely) and leaves this gourmand cookie aroma. This is probably a nice scent for the holidays, but I can't imagine this working in the summer, when it would probably be way too sweet and overpowering. The lasting power is good. It's quite expensive for what it is.

This is a gourmand scent, think sugar cookies with a subtle hint of coconut in it...it’s fine but it just doesn’t sit well on my skin, for some weird reason... I much prefer Vanilla Abricot from that line as the fruits and the vanilla meld together much better and smell joyous and summery. As for a true Coconut scent, I love Dirty Coconut by Heretic. It’s a much better rendition of a sweet (but not overly so) coconut. Its longevity is really good as well and it transports me straight to a happy place.

Top notes are heliotrope, banana and whipped cream; middle notes are coconut and vanilla; base notes are vanille and coconut. Creamy sweet coconut vanilla, simplicity at its finest. For the record, this is the 3rd fragrance purchase after my wedding. Tropically sweet and exotic. But I think that Lavanila Vanilla Coconut is superior to this.
