Ambré Beige

I love this. It's VERY different and to me, it doesn't smell anything like Angels Share (although they share lots of notes). This is very heavy on that same ridiculously amazing vanilla note used in Vanille Bourbon. This is very boozy and sweet. Unisex. This Condé frag house can do no wrong IMO. EVERYTHING I've smelled from them is over the top amazing. And I have a huge collection. These are REALLY GOOD.

I do love Amber Beige, it's a very cozy and sensual perfume at the same time. I think that colder days are perfect to reveal all this parfum has to offer. Good for woman, but perfect for man, in my opinion. Very nice work!

Ambre Beige perfume was launched in 2020, along with the arrival of August, the time of the year that is part of winter in Brazil. This time, the color chosen by the perfumer was beige, whose origin comes from the French term that gives the name to this perfume and means “without color”. Historically, the term beige was applied to the natural shade of wool or to any fabric that was not dyed. With Ambre Beige, the independent perfume house created by Fábio Condé brings amber resin as a key ingredient. And it is worth remembering that this note directs us to oriental fragrances, not it the same way of those who have the ambergris note. The creative concept brings aspects of comfort and warmth, reinforcing the idea that it is a fragrance for days of colder temperatures. For this, notes of sweet orange and rum were used at the top; Benzoin, caramel, cinnamon, cardamom, and iris, in the body; Amber, labdanum, cedar, cocoa, and vanilla, in the base. As soon as touches the skin, Ambre Beige intoxicates the senses with a huge presence of the rum note. I won't even waste my time wondering if the orange is sweet or sour because, clearly, it was used to bring balance to the alcoholic output, giving it a more succulent side. Still, between the first five to ten minutes, it is the rum that dominates and gives the initial feeling of warmth. Then, the middle phase appears as that generous portion of dessert that was stolen from the refrigerator, in the middle of the night, when sleep doesn't come and the blanket is our only companion on the coldest nights in front of the TV. At those times, what we really like is lots of syrup, sticky fingers, and strange toppings. And this fragrance delivers it all! Benzoin, caramel, and cinnamon fuse in a combo of amber color and viscous texture, whose aroma is capable of drawing the attention of any confectioner. Beige, previously graceless, becomes warm and orangy. And the evolution ends with a creamy vanilla, which shows its masculine side when combined with labdanum. Ambre Beige is classified as an ambery-oriental, but it has much of the gourmand profile that has already been presented in Tabac D’Or (2017). In particular, I see these fragrances as if they were a duo created to be sold as Winter Limited Editions. In terms of performance, Ambre Beige quickly tires the sense of smell, which is not uncommon in sweeter fragrances. Even so, it has long durability and exudes satisfactorily. It's not exactly the way I imagined it when the company started releasing tips on its social media. Considering the creative freedom of the segment and the profile of the perfumer (I know he loves the vanilla note), I confess that I expected an oriental-ambery scent with a more vintage personality, such as Escada Pour Homme, for instance. And let it be very clear, the fragrance does not disappoint. I created an expectation and came across a different result. Who ever? Still, the first batch of Ambre Beige sold out in a matter of minutes and the waiting list continues to increase. In other words, nothing holds Condé Parfum!

I've never heard of Conde Parfum but all of these are really perking my interest, especially Ambre Beige, Vanilla Bourbon, Boisee Rouge, and Boir D'Orange. This man is really speaking my language. So many of these are olfactory groups that I love. I would love for him to do a rose based fragrance and a purple (iris/violet) floral fragrance. He seems to group notes I love together in the themes that I also love. Where to test?
