Ohhh my dear God! This is absolutely deliscious! Such a sweet, femine, kind perfume 🫶🏻 It has just arrived and i thought mmm maybe another blind by having me have my hopes up but this exceeded my expectation. I dont detect patchouli, geranium or moss here which can be aggressive. This is endless sweetness an the dates and saffron are the big players but the saffron here is rounding the perfume, it is not medicinical. This perfume does NOT give me BR540 vibes although i love BR. If you have had for example Dolce Gabbana „The One-Essense“ you could say it gives the same feeling. Deeply sweet and femine. On my skin it becomes just a little bit lactonic and powdery. What can i say? It is not complex with many aspects but it is straight up sofosticated woman who takes care of her self. Or... DG The One with Dates accord through the whole time.

Very mystical, deeply oriental. The date note is incredibly intriguing. Memorable. Slightly provocative in a way that lingers under the skin. Even if you don’t end up buying it, you should absolutely experience it at least once.

Absolutely delicious! Soft, delicate and super feminine. I’m glad to have finally Dubai in my collection. The essence of elegance and high class. Pass of it if you re looking for crowded massive gourmands.

It was good for a season, but I've moved on...and so has the bottle. Rehomed.

I imagine the actual city of Dubai as a place that smells a bit more fragrant than this perfume, which seems to have few commonalities with any of the notes of the floral or wood notes of more traditional Arabian perfumes. This smells sort of like an ice cream shop-- it's bright, it's comfortable, and it's ever so soft and smooth, but without being cloying or saccharine in any way. First time I've ever rattled off a list of my top three perfumes in a store and had the person know exactly the one to show me-- and it was nearly a perfect match. It's a very subtle perfume with a surprisingly light sillage (perhaps a bit less strong than I'd like!), but for how light the sillage is, it's also surprisingly long-lasting. It's complex, and I get the likeness to BR540, but it's not as aggressive as BR, which I often smell in public places. I typically flavor complex, spicy, and musky perfumes that are more on the feminine side, but I think this can certainly be very much unisex owing to the fact that it combines a nice, mysterious amber base note with brighter top notes. The most interesting thing about this fragrance is that the various notes include some vibes or olfactory implications, if not the actual scents, of things I don't typically enjoy-- things like tobacco or vanilla. There is a similar scent from Vilhelm that I can't remember that has more of a tobacco vibe, but it's not too leathery or stanky as most tobacco scents are, and the vanilla-y amber base character is positively delightful rather than smelling more artificial or too cloying as many vanilla fragrances do.

This has a brilliant scent profile, no doubt about it. It is giving BR540 with caramel dates vibes- especially in the opening. The problem here is the price tag and the longevity it offers which is definitely like someone stated before *non existent*. Not really a good purchase. I regret it with all my heart 🥹 what a mess. A lame BR540 with a fading caramel note.

I adore this scent profile, especially the opening. It’s delicious. The longevity of this is non existent. Not at all worth the price tag. I’m not sure how the extrait version compares. I would not repurchase this fragrance due to the cost versus longevity. I understand not all fragrances are meant to be beast mode, but this one is almost non existent within an hour. I purchased Dapper’s version which isn’t an exact dupe but lasts way longer and smells great.

Smelling Montale Arabians Tonka for the first time today I was reminded of this Contes Dubai! Just super delicious and the caramelized sweet richness laid on thick! Amazing fragrances really can’t go wrong with either though the Arabians Tonka does outperform the Dubai quite heavily.

Vanilla, milk, sweet dates, rose water, incense, dusty wood and saffron. Very pleasant, one for the gourmand lovers. No rough edges here but also absolutely nothing new and with a sweetness reminiscent of celebrity perfumes.

nice soft gourmandish scent with fruity & creamy tendencies. can pick out the dates note giving the fruits a sticky, jammy sort of quality. maybe on the soft side at this price level but certainly a pleasant smell.

Nice scent but doesn’t have any projection to it, very very soft unfortunately which is a crime at this price point. Great bottle though!

Warm, sweet, creamy with a hint of spice fragrance. Very cozy for a cold day.
