Devious

Yes, this fragrance is on the same line as Lost Cherry and Rouge Smoking, but I choose Devious over that two fragrance! (Altought - for me - it was way more expencive to get this one over that two that I mentiond.) Devious is a true gourmand! It doesn't have flowery aspects, yes, it has a slightly boozy touch but it's almost unnoticable. To me it's something like a cocktail cherry vibe! I love the sweetnes of it! My colegue compliments it all the time I'm wearing it! It's not a big projector (good moderate) but it's compensate with the longevity. Gourmand lovers need to try this, and need to have it!

I bought the sampler pack of this new brand and have only tried Sincere (beautiful but seems to fade quickly) and then this gorgeous number, so sexy. Initial spray was ‘ok, this is different’ but after 5 mins, ‘OMG this is gorgeous’ and I can’t stop smelling my wrist. Cherry is definitely strong in opening, becoming softer but still very noticeable and I think that’s the drawcard for me. YUM! Very excited to try the others in the set now.

Smells great....similar to Lost Cherry as others have noted....a little sweeter so a little less interesting and challenging. Close sillage, minimal longevity. Purchased a decant and would not buy a full bottle. Within 2 hours I was having to reapply, and I a not a "light" sprayer.

Love this alone, or Layered. AMAZING! Layer with with YSL EDP and Molecule 01. AWESOME!

sumptuous and syrupy cherry. There's a beautiful almond at the base. beautiful scent.

This is like the twin of Lost Cherry. But they aren’t identical. They are fraternal and at odds. This opens with a splash of amaretto and a strange note that’s dry and smokey. I attribute that to the cyanide note. The cardamom is a small whisper that is mixed in with the cyanide. The maraschino cherry/sour cherry is very dark and boozy. This note can be lost at some moments and you can go anosmic to it. But this boozy cherry note is very similar if not the same as LC. Overall, the scent is grounded by almonds and tonka and the amaretto base. This is clearly related to Lost Cherry, but is no where near a dupe. To me, nothing will best LC. The bitter dry down and end of this fragrance is almond-tonka mayhem. I am not surprised the longevity isn't stellar

Very nice. The best of Contradictions In Ilk I've tried (IMO can be hit and miss) Performance isn't great. Definitely Unisex. To my untrained nose it reminded me of Hermessence Ambre Narguile on first spray but a bit boozier. Dry down is better on AN and it lasts longer, this pretty much turns into a skin scent within a couple of hours. Contradiction In Ilk suggest pairing their fragrances with others in their collection to create new interesting scents but, not convinced having tried a few. Perhaps I'm being cynical!

Immediately starts out like lovefest burning cherry with a bit of booze. Then soon after becomes a mild, slightly woody skin scent. It's nice but I'm not sold. Lacks punch for something named devious. A shame.

Smells nice but poor performance, poor longevity, it's gone before you even leave the house. Not a good buy

I have such mixed feelings about this perfume! I have tried it both on its own and paired with Sincere (as per Ilk's recommendations), and I just can't decide. It seems to disappear on my own skin rather quickly, BUT I could smell it very strongly on my clothes the next day, and the aroma it left on the fabric was pleasant and cozy. I think you need to wear it with Sincere to bring out its best aspects, but then you'd have to fork out the £$ for TWO bottles and at that point it's probably not worth it.

I had high hopes for this one but it has poor longevity and performance. Also the cherry smells very cheap to me, like those oldschool cherry popsicles. And i absolutely don't like that scent. The drydown was more amaretto-y, but not in a very sweet way. IMO the ingredients didn't blend well. So disappointing because I feel this could have been an amazing scent.

I have a 10ml bottle as part of my fragrance subscription. Cherries, almonds and liqueur. It’s sweeter on skin than on fabric. It’s a lovely gourmand but disappears from skin almost immediately, so you have to jam your nose to your skin to smell it developing. Edit: Two hours in and I’m now getting faint wafts. It’s a bit sickly.

Agreed its super close to Lost Cherry, but I prefer this as it seems a little heavier/deeper than lost cherry. It actually kind of reminds me of Cherry by the Fire from DUA too but not in a good way as both share some note in it that's a little screechy and I wish was a little more rounded out. However it smells really good, it's mostly a Cherry/amaretto scent on my skin. I'd consider a full bottle even though its kind of expensive.

Dead ringer for Tom Ford Lost Cherry. Smells like a Bakewell tart, or if you’re not familiar with those then Amaretto, or marzipan - a non-consumable comparison would be those cherry car air fresheners. Just cherries and almonds, very gourmand. Not a fan of these cherry-almond scents at all personally.

Smells fruity and like cherries, yes; however, it reminds me a lot of Rouge Smoking (cherry chapstick quality) with apple! No apple is listed, but this is quite apple-y.

I’m surprised to see positive comments on longevity. It lasts only one hour on my skin, which will likely not justify a full bottle.

Opens with amaretto+🍒+almond. Too sweet and to close to skin. Not my cup of tea unfortunately...
