Opens very spicy, like black pepper spicy, and a bit of anise or licorice root because it has that mint-like sharp sweetness but it's very licorice like so perhaps wormwood as this is a woody-oriental fragrance. Upfront is a creamy sandalwood, and a little bit white-floral with a touch of soapiness. I can certainly see why the previous comment says, "dove soap". It is a creamy, fluffy white musk type of soap but yes it is drying down quite soapy. I might end up scrubbing this off but I'll wait and see if the soap fades away too. Okay, coming back to my review to edit... it's been about 30 minutes since I wrote this and the perfume increased in soapiness for those 30 minutes almost to the point of me wanting to scrub off. I became distracted and now 30 min later it is receding and a nice sweetness is overtaking the soap. It does have an unpleasant (to me, I'm not a fan of white musk) soap scent for the mid but does dry down sweeter and the soap fades away. Definitely not a blind buy if you're like me and not a fan of white musks. The opening was gorgeous if you like anise and peppery woods. The dry down is nice, kind of a light woody sweetness.

Dove bar soap and baby wipes. Enjoy.

Reminds me of opening my Grandfather's medicine cabinet, the one tucked away behind a mirror in the bathroom. This effectively smells like old fashioned soap and shaving foam. A hint of anise lurks around the opening but seems to burn off relatively quickly. Probably wouldn't be an awful cologne for a man - it definitely gives a "fresh out of the shower" impression - but it's not for me.

I don’t get any woody notes. To me it smells really clean like a dove bar of soap. I love wearing it after a shower.
