Rosas Frescas

It's rare that I'm inspired to wear a fragrance in my home. Other than this, the only one I want to wear at home is Casbah by Robert Piguet. But this one is a different kind of magic. It starts out a little "uh oh," almost a potpourri rose, a little dense, but it still tickles the inside of your nose. As it is opens, the rose lightens as the citrus lifts off, and it settles into a delightful soapy rose that manages to not smell "old lady" in the slightest. The rose is not a "real" flower smell, you would never put your nose to a bloom and get this, but it's the main olfactory ingredient in a perfectly blended mix. It's not a vintage-smelling rose, and I would say this is more daytime than evening. Could be nice for a first date. It's not too girly, it's neither innocent nor madame, maybe just a little bit coquette, except the soapiness makes it more well-rounded. Coqui Coqui makes another rose, maybe it is a body chemistry thing--both smelled nice on me, the other one was a little fresher, but this is the one I kept coming back to. Great longevity.

Absolutely my favorite rose of all time and the most youthful rose I have come across. This is a very addictive and instantly recognizable scent. The sillage and longevity are both excellent.

I love rose. I love citrus. I love soapiness. This should be a HG fragrance for me, but the ingredients used seem cheap. This is a screechy perfume, with an artificial and soapy drydown. It seems like a fragrance that could have been made using one of the perfume kits I had as a child. A sad miss for me.

Rosas Frescas by Coqui Coqui escapes any traps of the too often "soapy fake-ness" of many "Rose" forward perfumes today. Not a blind buy. Thankfully Rogers Gardens in Newport Beach, California had many of Coqui Coqui's perfumes, so lucky to spritz away : ) At first, candy-like Rose, with yes, some fresh Lemon... blended to a tee. Am enjoying my re-discovering of this perfume during this hottest of Summers in Southern California 2024. Blends beautifully with Guerlain's "Le Petite Robe Noir" (my signature scent/Cherry forward). Rosas Frescas is a potent elixir-like perfume so not to over spray and it will last you all day at least on my skin it does...Great silage, reminds me of wandering through a "Secret Garden" just after a Summer rain...LOVE

This is extremely beautiful - fresh yet lush rose with citrus to make it sparkle. Elegant, alluring, and my new favorite rose.
