Herat

I usually like smoky, woody fragrances. So when I started testing Herat, I knew I would like it. But I was not prepared for how gorgeous its fragrance profile is. Herat starts out with a stunning combination of sweet tobacco and green cannabis. The fragrance slowly transitions into a dry, earthy scent as the vetiver and oakmoss notes come into play. After an hour or so, the fragrance turns deliciously sweet and smoky. However, Herat barely lasts for 2-3 hours on my skin and has silage close to skin, which is disappointing (this may also be because my sample is a splash bottle and not a spray bottle). I think the fragrance transitions between notes very quickly and I would've loved to have the fragrance develop on my skin over a longer period. This fragrance is quite different from the other tobacco fragrances that I have smelt in the sense that it is such a smooth blend. The notes are not harsh and don’t feel synthetic at any point. I think this fragrance can be easily worn by men and women. I am going to try layering this fragrance with something else from my collection and see if it lasts longer on my skin. At this point I don't think I will be buying an entire bottle of Herat but I do recommend everyone to give this fragrance a try.

Oh my.....I don't write reviews very often, but on my way to find my signature perfume, I have to write one. After trying almost every 'mainstream' perfume, I find my way to the niche perfume. What a great difference it is..well, now about Herat This perfume opens with a strong smell of hashish, which I didn't liked at all in the beginning. But then.....after twenty minutes it turns into a delicious sweet,earthy smell. This perfume ( and think most niche perfumes) has to grow on your skin. I feel like I am travelling around the world,discovering places in the Middle East en just enjoy, but it has also a serious note in it. My sample is almost empty now, but I'll certainly buy a full bottle of this amazing juice!

Herat is very unique and avant garde. From all of the notes listed, it is rather a challenge to distinguish most of it and to me that is because of really good blending. It smells green and bitter, resinous, warm, woody, earthy, dry and a tad smoky. Grungy (for a lack of a better word) in a great way. A little burnt - rubber pleasant aroma starts it off as it fades and I also get wood pencil shavings with a hint of sweetness. It feels like an Indiana Jones adventure to me! Herat performs quite well on the day time but also works for the evening. Downside is it’s not as projecting compared to the other scents the brand has but when you smell this unique, it’s moderate projection and sillage is perfect.

On my skin, opening is surprisingly green, sappy - like sourgrass (I suppose that's the cannabis?) It's lovely, but shifts quite quickly into something powdery and warm, waxy and lightly musky. The tobacco is there in the background, subdued and unobtrusive. Pleasant, but not as interesting as the topnotes suggested. I feel like it would all be tied together a little more if an additional note was added. Not all that strong - I accidentally spilled my sample all over myself and it actually made it so I could smell the composition clearly. Still, not bad at all and I did enjoy it!

hairspray, citrus, alcohol, bitter, green then sweetens up with pipe tobacco and labdanum and benzoin but still not a smokey spicey monster; very weak and close to the skin and not long lasting as most Coquilletes but totally unique; I hated the top but love the base

First blast of warm floral amber and then sneezy incense and tobacco. After a minute, the cannabis starts to bloom. Very exotic, mysterious, like you're Indiana Jones walking through a smoky bazaar seeking adventure in a far-off land. Wow, look at those notes! Basically anything that can be rolled up and smoked is in this one, and yet the actual smoke isn't represented. I feel more like the roasted dried leaves are all mixed together yet untouched by flame. I like this one but I don't think I'd ever wear it; I smelled like I worked in a Vancouver weed dispensary for a while. More male leaning to my nose and likely best for cooler weather. 6+ hours later: The cannabis was getting overwhelming within the first couple hours but faded away to mostly nothing quickly after that.

This is actually very lovely in its way. On me, it opens with a strong green waft of citrus and cannabis leaf, then goes sweet and earthy as it dies down. I don't get any smoky scent. On me, this is a dead ringer for L'Artisan Parfumeur's Premier Figuier -- slightly weirdly, as figs and fig leaves are not listed as a note here. So I'm not sure why they are so incredibly similar on me afer dry down.

I was expecting an intense, smoky scent. Same disappointment I had with Black Afghano by Nasomatto which I feel only oud. Here I can only perceive vetiver.....that's all. In addition, the scent fades after just one hour. I think that cannabis is not just an ingredient particularly suitable for a scent for the simple reason that it remains absent.

خب، هرات اولین برخورد من با برند کوکییت پاریس هست و باید بگم که رایحش لذتبخشه با اینکه خیلی اصیل و تک نیست. من یه جایی در مورد وجود داشتن یه تشابه تقلید شده از بلک افگانوی ناسوماتو خونده ام و من نظرمو بخوام بگم اینه که فقط تا حدودی میتونه به اون بو ربط داشته باشه. مطمئناً یه فونداسیونِ رایج از نت های سینتتک داره (مثل چوبها، وتیور بطور خاص، امبر، تنباکو، صمغ کندر، حشیش، یاس و غیره که کمک میکنن تا یه پیوند آروماتیک و رایحه ای مشابه خود عطر تقویت بشه). این فونداسیون مشترک باعث میشه آدم به مقایسه این عطر با بلک افگانو اشاره کنه اما باید همینجا روشن کنم که ساختار، پخش بو و تراکم رایحه این دو عطر تقریبا بکلی متفاوته (منظورم استحکام ترکیبِ کلیِ نت ها، اسکلت‌شون، شدت کلی، و خود پخش بو هست). اول از همه، هرات یه عطر نیمه شرقی فلورال زنانه هست (با کسی که ادعا میکنه این یه کار مردانه‌ست با احترام بنظرش اما مخالفم) حال اینکه بلک افگانو تماما یه عطر شرقیِ لاستیکی-گوگردیه و درحالیکه خیلی رزینی و چگال هست، اما هرات یجورایی آبدار و سبکه (فلورال آبگونه و بطور ظریفی صابونیه). وتیور که در اینجا خیلی زود خودش رو نشون میده، بلافاصله توسط یه یلانگ یلانگ عظیم (آبدار، ادویه ای و عجیب و غریب) و چوب های مرطوب ساپورت میشه، با وجود اینکه یه صمغ کندر آروم آروم در حال پدیدار شدنه، رایحه عطر خیلی کم رزینی و اساسا مرطوب(تقریبا شفاف) به نظر می رسه. در این عطر رویکرد نت های فلورال، بسیار مهربان و منحصرا زنانه هست، درحالیکه حضور حشیش بیشتر به همون حشیش موجود در عطر لذتبخشه مشابهش، یعنی ایل پروفومو کانابیس نزدیک بنظر میرسه تا اونی که تو بلک افگانوی مه آلود به کار گرفته شده (که توی اون، رایحه کانابیس، فلورال یا آبگونه و مرطوب نیست اما لاستیکی و چسبنده‌ست). وجود یه رایحه ادویه ایِ آبگونه و زنجبیلی یه جورایی این عطرو به عطرایی مثل دویل این دیسگایز یا بلک اینجل مارک باکستن، نِرو اکامپورا (خصوصا بخاطر بُعد مُشکیش) یا فوشونی نوتورنو مئو، متصل میکنه. نت های چوبی، مُشکی و فلورال(یاس، بنفشه، موگه؟؟) (و همچنین توت قرمز؟) بنظر میرسه که المان های اصلی پایان این تجربه حسی هستن که میشه گفت برای مثال به عطرهایی مثل ونتزیا بیاجوتی/ ونتیزیا پاستلو یا گرلن سامسارا نزدیکتره تا عطرای نیرومند(ضخیم)تری مثل فورتیس یا بلک افگانو. یه عطر فلورالِ خوبِ مُشکی و گزنده، با روایح چوبی و ادویه ای قوی، رزین های آبگونه و یه آکورد ویتیور ملایم. امتحانش کنید.

عطر هيرات للنساء والرجال من دار كوكوليت Herat Coquillete for women and men هيرات: هي إحدى المدن الأفغانية التي مزقتها الحروب والصراعات، والتدخلات العسكرية الداخلية، ومن الخارج أيضا. وهذا هو بالضبط ما ستجده داخل زجاجة عطر هيرات. القنب "الحشيش" الأفغاني، التوباكو الكوبي، الياسمين الغراسي، اليلانج البولينيسي، البخور العماني، لبان المر المدغشقري، اللابدونم المغربين طحلب السنديان القبرصي، والفيتيفير الهندي. يا لها من معركة... البداية صادمة.. إنها مغامرة كبيرة أن تضع التوباكو في افتتاحية أي عطر. ولكن التوباكو هنا يختلف وجوده عن عطور التوباكو المعتادة نظرا لوجود الياسمين إلى جواره. ولكني أعتقد أن كلمة السر في الخروج بافتتاحية العطر إلى بر الأمان ترجع إلى زهرة الإيلانج الإغوائية المهدئة. وهذا هو التمهيد المقصود لدخول نوتة القنب "الحشيش الأفغاني" بعد حوالي ربع ساعة لتكون قد انتقلت إلى قلب العطر، وهو المنطقة الجميلة في العطر. وأعتقد ان شخصية عطر هيرات تعبر عنها منطقة القلب بالتحديد. حينما يبدأ العنبر الكهرمان مع راتينج اللابدونام في اعطاء المزيج لمحات سويتية غورماندية هادئة تنطلق بين الحين والآخر دفعات من البخور العماني مدعمة بلبان المر العطري لإطالة زمن هذه النوتة. طحلب السنديان الترابي الرطب، والفيتيفير الجاف المنعش قد اختارهما أنف العطر ليكونا الخاتمة. ولكني اعتقد أن عطر هيرات يمثله هذا المثلث من الإيلانج والقنب والتوباكو. وأن مفتاح العطر هو الإيلانج الذي لولاه لسقط العطر وأصبح شيئا كئيبا عديم الحياة. العطر مصنف على أنه زهري شرقي وهو كذلك بالفعل. ولكن شرقية العطر طاغية على زهريته. الاستخدام الليلي سيكون الأمثل للعطر، خاصة مع نسمات الهواء. إذا كنت من محبي الافتتاحيات القوية الصادمة فسيعجبك العطر مع اللمحات الأولى. وإذا لم تكن كذلك فاصبر وتمهل قليلا حتى يبرد ولا تتسرع في الحكم عليه قبل مرور ربع ساعة

Dedicated to the black gold of Afghanistan, Herat is a fragrance that surprised me with its evolution. At first it is acrid, strong, with a very perceptible tobacco, which is submerged by initially green, flowery, slightly incensed scents. It's a good fragrance, I consider it fresh and slightly oriental, but I wasn't particularly impressed.
