No Sleep

As the saying goes leave the best for last...when I looked up at the notes for NO SLEEP I left my sample of it for last because powdery, violet and floral notes are generally not the notes I enjoy much. Shows how much you should never judge a fragrance by the notes listed. It also shows how amazingly talented Luca Maffei is in blending Hyacinth, White Rose and Bergamot; Violet, Lily and Jasmine; White Woods, Vanilla and Patchouli to such perfection and creating one of the most beautiful fragrances ever! Before I purchased this full bottle I sampled all 6 fragrances and short listed three favourites, after further tests NO SLEEP was the absolute winner for me. This fragrance is seriously criminally underrated, and I can’t emphasize this enough! NO SLEEP is in my opinion the Floral sleeper fragrance of 2021. Let me tell you why this stands out like no other floral fragrance you have ever smelled before. Many would classify florals more for a feminine audience rather than a male audience which I don’t agree with all. I have stated this many times, wear what you love. Carnal Flower is a huge love for me and I love wearing it. But back to the point why NO SLEEP could just be the Floral fragrance for a man who is afraid to wear florals. This is straight down the line probably the most unisex fragrance ever created. I don’t like to use the word perfect too much, but I will say that this floral fragrance is perfect for just about anyone! The way the florals are blended with each other are so comforting and smooth, there is absolutely no note that rides over the other or a one single note that cloys. No Sleep feels fresh, vibrant like stepping out of water and entering a garden of florals. The first initial blast is strong so don’t judge until it settles in it’s first 5 minutes. The fragrance is long lasting and the beautiful trail it leaves will have people asking you what you are wearing. This is a fragrance you can wear in any season and occasion. Big applause to Coreterno for creating one of the most beautiful bottles ever too. It’s truly a joy to hold and look at the bottle. Very heavy glass with a heavy cap. Seriously for the price and quality, attention and care you won’t find a better deal than this. I am not affiliated with Coreterno and purchased this full bottle with my own money. But I honestly feel that I should give my highest recommendation to this great house. NO SLEEP for me is simply an outstanding beautiful floral that I very proud to own. Prepare to be stopped by strangers and asked what you are wearing, it’s that enchanting and beautiful!

Well, I like it. It kind of lives on my skin (some others from this line are worse). It's this airy floral, a bit vintage, but very fresh and bright (not bright in indolic way, nor aldehydic). I love white florals and Lily is one of them. I love the actual flower and its smell, so I appreciate it in perfumes as well. I am not sure what other reviewers were expecting, the fact about lily is that can smell quite soapy (which can also translate into "clean" or "fresh") and that in fact is common in funeral bouquets. I think the jasmine is underlaying it very well here. I love it, because I can see it can become this veery beautiful second skin in spring.

This is one of the few scents I've tried that actually smells like what the profile states, and in order. On the initial spray you immediately get bright citrus and fresh floral. After an hour or so it turns a little powdery and the jasmine and lemon smell amazing together. Later in the evening (at least 8-9 hours later, this lasts great on skin) it's like you're wrapped in a slightly sweet earthy hug with the vanilla and patchouli. Unisex but leans a little feminine, moderate sillage. Office friendly if you use sparingly, but if you're a 4-5 sprays kind of person keep this for outdoor events in any season.

Ok, so this is one of the most magical perfumes. This is so creamy and masterfully blended, that I really wouldn’t call it a pure floral, more like white woods softened with a whispering bouquet. I love it when florals are creamy in fragrances (Ostara would be another example). Sexy, dreamy, mysterious, alluring fragrance that seems like a second skin. I am so pleasantly surprised and definitely want to experience more from the house. I recently purchased a linden blossom creation of Luca Maffei, so it seems I am definitely vibing with his style.

I've been testing that fragrance without any knowledge of it, the brand, the nose, whatsoever. And after like 10 minutes my brain came up with a comparison No Sleep to MyLo from Laboratorio Olfattivo. So I'm checking Fragrantica now and... here it comes!... both have the same nose! The one and only Luca Maffei. :) Now, I'm not saying MyLo is a twin to No Sleep, but they do have similar vibes to me. Having the former I don't need the latter. But if I hadn't MyLo I would definitely want to buy this beauty. :)

Fresh spicey lily n hyacinth mainly but the whole thing is homogenous, smooth n nothing sticks out. Smells really familiar but idk why. Absolutely love it, but then I like the entire house, Hardkor is my other favourite.

A lovely fresh lily-hyacinth forward fragrance. It's clean, slightly musky, just a little bit of green-ness from the patchouli. Spring in a bottle. Leans feminine.

A fresh, green floral.. I really like it! Definitely a cool-floral at the top, somewhat soapy as it begins to settle.. definitely get the lily at this point, there is some soapy-ness here but I find it refreshing and pleasant. I detect a hint of spice after the first few minutes which, presumably, keeps it from leaning too 'cold'. Huge hit of hyacinth at the beginning. The vanilla, although subtle, softens these more in-your-face floral notes out.. the whole thing would be very, very crisp and quite unpleasant otherwise! Lovely dry down as well.. somehow it is both invigorating and mellow. Very interesting! Totally understand how the brightness, particularly during the first hour or so, evokes its namesake but not necessarily in the sense of pulling an 'all-nighter'.. this is more of a morning-into-evening 'no sleep' which I find invigorating and appealing, for sure. A well-balanced perfume overall although I could absolutely understand how it may give others a melancholic vibe; to me, it barely scrapes the surface of what may be considered 'funeral home' or simply just a funerary scent.

No Sleep represents for me the scent of a dream that evokes memories, a dream that makes one imagine moments past, lived or not lived. Its clean vintage notes, with a floral aspect that inevitably brings to mind the waters used by our mothers, take me back in time, which made me smile. It’s not my usual style, but I truly appreciated it; it had been a while since I felt something that recalled past moments. “Affetti” painted by Giacomo Balla.

There is a unique accord struck between the lily, violet and hyacinth that I can't really put into words -- it leans a little lavenderish, a little cold stone and a smidge gourmand -- I'm not sure I'm crazy about it, but it is quite unique and I'm glad I tried it out. It works in a way that doesn't appeal to me too much, but I certainly see it working for the right person. It's a little to white-purple instead of purple-white for my liking. There's a bit of bubblegum in this, a bit of air freshener and just a little bit of hotel room lobby -- don't get me wrong, it's GREAT, but it's just not for me...

The initial few minutes after spraying are dominated by a musky sharpness, like a cold breeze that carries wafts of a nearby flower garden. Once that stiff breeze settled, the flower notes gain some sweetness, but only for a short time. Musky, green and powdery notes take charge of the drydown and give this fragrance a cold and sharp aura. A few hours after application, I cannot smell the flowers anymore, but just the powdery and musky remnants of what could have been a gorgeous flower garden.

Funny how they named it 'No Sleep', and it’s so bland and uninspired it’s practically a lullaby.

Really plain and boring florals with a slight watery aspect. It's giving funeral bouquet.

I like a lot because this is the 80% the copy of Christian Lacroix 1999s perfume credated by Madame Grojsman, the shell shaped one, a powdery luminous yellow flowery fragrance. Tender and chic, smooth and posh. But very powerfull in sillage... Even too much. Here i notice also some coffee notes and leather not listed.

It's hard to make out anything, it's very quiet. The flowers are not delicate, but diluted. There is no tenderness, no purity, just some homeopathic water. I must be anosmic to some synthetic components. It's a pity... the bottle itself is very beautiful.

on me i get soapy jasmine, tuberose, and vanilla this whole line was a bit underwhelming, which is a shame considering the bottles are really nice

This smells exactly like Barbasol shaving cream with some dewy white florals.
