Altered Leather

Smells exactly how it‘s supposed to. A very linear and monotonous leather scent. Comparable to the smell of a new leather bag or leather shoes. I would not suggest to buy it if you want to wear it isolated. It should be layered with other perfumes. Works really well with sweet notes like burnt sugar or marshmallows. I also tried it with Davidoff Cool Water. In the beginning the combo was a bit harsh but over time it really grew on me.

They nailed the suede note, Altered Leather really does smell like just that. It’s like walking into an expensive shoe store. Perfectly unisex imo, it's straight up suede, so if you like that scent you'll probably like this. So far I've worn this fragrance on its own, and layered with BR540. Layering isn't something I do often, but I'm definitely going to be having fun trying my sample with different fragrances. I think it's really quite a nice fragrance to have on hand for layering if you enjoy leather. Longevity when worn on its own is quite short though, 3 hours before it's completely gone. If you’ve been looking for a realistic, single-note leather fragrance, Altered Leather is definitely worth checking out. Just don't expect it to last a full day.
