Encapsulated Sun

According to main accords it's supposed to smell a lot like coconut. And I don't agree at all. I think it's a fresh unisex perfume, with tingly hints of herbs. It flirts with winter for me. Sweet herbal green tea in front of an open fire when the snow is gently falling down on the outside. Even though it's called "Encapsulated sun". I also think it's a perfume you either love or hate, risky to buy blind. For my case I didn't like it at first, I had to wear it a couple of times before I got used to how it smells.

Encapsulated sun opens with a strong coconut scent, not the juice but the actual nut. In the drydown, hay and tonka are detectable. The hay makes this scent more powerful and savory than most coconut scents. It's a one of kind scent imo.

What the hell is going on here.. I blind bought it for a reasonable price and hoped for a creamy, coconut perfume. Upon first spray: screechy alcohol, then the slightest amount of coconut for around two minutes. And that’s it. Then it COMPLETELY disappear. It doesn’t settle on staying close to the skin, no, it evaporated completely. Nothing, nada! I was perplexed, frustrated and amused at the same time. Such an alluring and nostalgia invoking title but all they encapsulated was fleeting alcohol and oxygen.

A humongous amount of scratchy, fresh cut hay scattered over a copious amount of coconut flesh and coconut water, that is all I get from this. Coumarin shows up after 1⁄2 an hour but it is not harmonious or well blended. I think the hay note is way too aggressive and overpowering, and it felt itchy to me. If you enjoy the feeling of laying over a haystack in a coconut plantage on a hot sunny day, that might be for you.

OMG awful not for me, have to agree with karincicilia. Some 'off' synthetic coconut smell, got it as part of a bundle. Will try and use as toilet spray otherwise its going in the trash!
