Cosmopolitan

First year I tryed it I loved it , but it needed to be put on over and over agan , layreing and I spent almost half of the bottle , then I forgot about him.Next summer it showed the ful potential, It need"s time to macerate , then it becomes wonderfull. I love it .But I smel orange peel in it -and there is no orange peel in notes. Lovelu parfum for Summer.

Great find, it smells really good. A bit spicy, a bit bright, a bit sweet, a bit earthy and sexy. Very feminine. It's a a real treat and a surprise for the price. I don't hear anyone talking about this but I think it's worth a try.

Wow! For a cheap perfume this is pretty complex! I smell the notes, they are changing clearly! Very sweet with a hint of spice, I like it a lot!!! It has depth for sure!

I bought this because it was R69 (roughly $4)on sale and I thought ,why not if I don't like it I can always re-gift. But wow I did not expect to like it as much as I did because I'm not really into sweet gourmands or caramel scents. Don't let the sharp headache inducing smell straight from the bottle fool you, when this dries down it becomes a yummy, sweet spicy fragrance with the vibrancy of orange and warm cozy mix of soft Patchouli, musk and caramel. 2-3 hours later you're left with a warm, slightly seductive feminine fragrance. Really pleasantly surprised with this cheapie. Value for money and would buy a full size next time.

So... 45 mins ago I spritzed both inner wrists, inner elbows and shoulders. 10 minutes later I used one spritz of Ralph Lauren Ralph on the back of one hand. I then travelled 10 mins in an airconditioned vehicle and walked 5 mins in tropical heat. And now, the only Cosmopolitan left is in my inner elbows and to get that I have to smell very closely. It is almost gone. Just a very light Vanilla Musk. Ralph however is powerhousing on. I shall be going back to pick up Ralph for sure. Sorry Cosmopolitan, you showed such sweet promise too.

I saw this on TikTok being reviewed and found a 100ml tester bottle for less than the price of a coffee. Well you absolutely have to take a gamble for that price. I've worn this all day today and although I did overspray it has lasted 10 hours already and it's a hot day, which is excellent. I can't really make out the individual notes so well, but it's a good slightly spiced fruity summery scent that will be used again and again.

I only did a very quick spritz test of this one today. I detected a licorice/aniseed note to it. I definately did like it and I will be retesting this one properly in the near future. Will update more then.

It’s just like a Pink one of CARE Powder brand!! I like it. 💖 It’s easy to use in everyday and anytime you want. It’s a good value. ;)

I first smelled Cosmopolitan on a coworker, though at first I did not know she was wearing a perfume. You know those moments where you're chatting away with a group of people and someone new walks into the room and you can smell them before you see them? With all the distractions, noise, imagery, etc, going on this person makes everyone pause and turn to look? That's what happened. I honestly thought when she walked in that she was just having a bad B.O. day and had chain smoked a pack of cigarettes. Hey, it happens to the best of us, sometimes you just forget to put on your deodorant. No harm no foul. On my way out, I noticed a bottle of Cosmopolitan sitting next to her bag. Nobody was around so being the ill-mannered fragrance snob that I am- I picked it up, took the lid off and gave it a sniff without spraying. And there it was - that horrible smell that she walked in with!!! It wasn't even her! Except now that it was straight out of the bottle it didn't just smell like armpit and stale cigarettes, it also had a big whiff of cheap, juniper heavy gin. I was so bummed! I really like this coworker and her bottle is basically full, I hope she doesn't keep wearing this. She is young, intelligent and beautiful, WHY?! I looked up the notes later on to see if that was the point of the fragrance but it honestly doesn't smell like any of the components to me. I thought- maybe she got it because she thought the cigarettes and gin aspect would give her an edgy vibe- but no, none of the listed notes matched what happened in my nose. To me when I picture the woman who smells like this I imagine a recently divorced woman in her 50's, she has internalized the belief that she is too old for a man and has given up on love. She tries to mask this self loathing with an awful self deprecating sense of humor that is on full display every happy hour at the dive bar she feels cool and young frequenting. Sitting right next to you, waving around her marlboro red to signal that she's taking a smoke break. She asks if you can watch her seat while she's gone with a voice like one you'd use to talk to someone across a room. She doesn't notice when she spills her beefeater gin cosmopolitan on your shirt as she gets up. Real classy.

This perfume is a bit of a rollercoaster ride, first impressions are when it’s sprayed it smells very VERY strongly of a blueberry liquid iron supplement and how I imagine the horrible tasting, tar looking medicine nanny McPhee gives the children when they are sick in the movie (neither are good things) but as it settles the smell mostly goes away and I’m left with what I think is a slightly sour caramel scent and a little bit of nectarine? Although the notes are mostly fruit I’d argue this smells floral because it is not fruity in the slightest, I was really hoping this would be a bright juicy fruity scent with the pineapple and nectarine and orange notes but I was very very disappointed, this is a very warm spicy fragrance and it is certainly not for me Having it sit on my skin for longer ( an hour or so) and the pineapple note is stronger, however the warm spicy-ness is still there, it’s definitely sweetened up a bit but the warm spice and the powderyness is still quite strong and doesn’t make this smell like a nice, lively sweet fruity fragrance so unfortunately still a no for me

This is really nice fresh perfume, when I sprayed some on and my sister arrived home a couple of hours later she asked me what smells so nice. Probably aimed more towards a young female in her 20’s, but I am a fair bit older than that and I’ve been wearing it to work, getting quite a few nice compliments. It’s not overpowering, the vanilla and tonka make it quite a creamy smelling fragrance, the patchouli evens the scent out so it doesn’t smell too sweet. I found the longevity to last on my skin for a few hours. It is slightly fruity, but the woody notes came out on top, making it quite a warm scent. I love the unique glass amber/red bottle. As a collector of fancy perfume bottles, this looks very nice on my dressing table.

To me cosmopolitan smells very PURPLE. It almost reminds me of ripe grapes; sweet, juicy and powdery. I could not recognize these so many notes over here, but I detect sweet fruits and violet powdery flowers. I see the ranking of this perfume is really low. I can't say it's something I would care for either. I just received a sample last year when it was just launched and I used to wear it from time to time for variety. I like the name, but I don't think the perfume has anything to do with that name. Don't expect too much. Also considering the price I guess you should minimize your expectations.

Sadly I have to agree with Boovahzer - longevity is really weak, cannot say anything about sillage but suspect its the same. A shame really because the scent is nice! The opening is spicy and flowery with a pinch of sweetness (I detect cinnamon although not listed?). What happens after that, or should happen after that, I can't tell because its gone! It baffles me how they approved the strength of this formula! After all they are a magazine with a focus on fashion and beauty so someone should have noticed...

An absolute blind buy FAIL, I don’t know if I got a bad batch or this is really how it is supposed to smell? It smells like gasoline, the only fragrance that has made me feel unwell upon spraying

Anyone notice the picture to the right of the main one? Click it, and look at the bottom of the box. It says 100ml, and then 1.7 fl. oz. Misprint? lol

Sweet cookies with cinnamon :) There is something similar to Antonio Banderas Spirit woman and Yves Rocher Voile d'Ambre

First thing that came to mind, was that it smells like “Kongen af Danmark”, a Danish hard candy with anis flavor.
