Sacred Mist

I’m reviewing this again because, as someone else said, this is a self-care, aromatherapy skin scent. Its a scent you have to understand to appreciate. This isn’t meant to be a mass appealing perfume, and some of these descriptions are just ridiculous. This is a scent with a purpose. It was created to help the wearer balance their mood, relax, unwind, meditate, etc. The most prominent notes I get from this are oak moss and bergamot, maybe a little geranium and woodiness. This gives it an earthy, fresh, uplifting feel with a little sweetness in there to. It’s one of my favourite scents to use at home to wind down. If I’m feeling depressed, anxious or overly stressed, I find this scent very grounding. It instantly lifts my mood, helps me to focus and relax, and to put things into a clearer perspective. This is exactly what it was made to do. For me it also evokes happy childhood memories of exploring woodlands and enjoying nature with my family. When I smell this I picture myself standing in a forest, full of life, the sun it’s breaking through the trees. It’s a beautiful, crisp spring morning and I can smell the dewy moss. I hear the birds singing and the flow of water in a nearby stream. I feel calm and comforted whenever I wear this, or spray it around me. I personally love it for that reason. I could easily wear it daily, anywhere, because of how it makes me feel. This is a rescue scent for the mind, body, spirit (hence the name) and I can’t recommend it enough. I will continue to repurchase it over and over! I already have a back up bottle. Don’t believe all the reviews on here, go check out Perfumo’s rating!

I sprayed A LOT of this on myself because y'all said in reviews that it's weak and doesn't last, so.... Yeah, it's not weak. The strongest note for me is the cedar. It's very woody. Definitely unisex. I requested the red Clarins scent from my aunt in the Nineties but she got me the blue one instead. I've never actually smelled it and read it's been reformulated. In other words, I cannot compare the two. This actually puts me in mind of the comme de garçons range of scents, being very woody, fresh sweet, spiced, slightly fruity. Smells also kinda peppery. Anyway, I overapplied. 😂 I was looking for a herbal Japanese bath, spa experience, having never had this in reality and never having gone to any spa or had any beauty treatments in my life. It's got a bit of that cola character that Youth Dew has. If you wanna put it in a realm.... 😂 Will update with longevity, tenacity, any possible development, later. But I will say I loved the opening and was a little disappointed when the cedar took the fore. Still enjoying it nonetheless!

I have had a 100ml of this for about 9 months, this to me is spectacular fragrance that truly works for many situations and actual need. I love this to wear to bed after a shower, or before I do yoga, its grounding but with a warm sweetness that's not feminine or gourmand it's just beautiful, it's warm and woody. It will stay with me for as long as I can buy it, it is just grounded, slightly sweet with a touch of the beautiful outdoors. A surprisingly, wonderful masterpiece, thought I'd hate it, truly love. It serves a beautiful purpose in my collection, not a safe blind buy as I think from the notes people will expect something different

This is a very spicy woody fragrance to me, yet the white florals do come in waves. Personally I find this fragrance very calming, smells both like an old cathedral and a yoga studio. I honestly thought there was frankincense on this scent. Compared to other “celebrity fragrances” on the market, this stands out, as it’s not a super sweet gourmand or dupe of another scent. If a holistic scent was the goal I think this scent achieved its purpose. The longevity isn’t great but worth the price.

I love this perfume. I bought it blindly as I loved the concept of it and it is my new favourite. It has an instantly calming feel to it. The scent is relaxing and fresh, with a little sweetness in there too. It’s just beautiful, not overpowering. It can be worn in any occasion, season, night or day. I love it! It’s quite unique in my opinion and doesn’t smell like anything else I have in my collection.

Very pleasant everyday fragrance. It's giving pencil shavings a little bit but in a nice way.

I really agree with the reviews from Sidonie Sera and CaroleAnne81, that this is more an aromatherapy treatment than a perfume (although of course you can use it as perfume!). It contains essential oils (or “potent, natural substances”), and is suggested as a way to “begin your self-care ritual”. I don’t know if I can agree that “a single spritz offers a complete sensorial experience”, but it is a gentle, pleasant, uplifting floral / herbal blend - subtle and spa-like.

A refreshing citrus woody scent, not particularly exciting but it's pretty and feels relaxing to wear. Very obviously influenced by L'Eau Dynamisante, but not as good to be honest. Sacred Mist is a run of the mill generic "holistic" scent, with poor longevity, that's elevated by the Kate Moss brand.

So. I really think Kate Moss took her inspiration from Clarins red pebble (Eau Dynamisante) for this. If you watch her "Vogue what's in my bag" video, she pulls Clarins out of her bag and says that was her mum's scent, then pulls her Sacred Mist out. I think there's a connection there as this very much has the same "vibe." It's NOT the same scent, but it takes the same approach. Aromatic, unisex, spritz it all around for a mood uplift. There and gone pretty quickly. Doesn't stick around. It's very unisex and woody--she says it has oakmoss in it (strange because I thought oakmoss wasn't used anywhere anymore except in US produced scents...), so keep that in mind. If you're into the more "pink" scents of today, you'll struggle with this one. It's an aromatherapy scent rather than a "perfume." I enjoy it, but I'm not sure I'll repurchase considering the lack of longevity and price. Will probably stick with my Clarins Red instead.

I can't see this perfume standing the test of time. I have a full bottle and it's a pleasant aromatherapy skin scent when first sprayed. Then I'm either anosmic to it or it simply fades to obscurity fast. Yes, it has taken inspiration from Clarins in that it's a soft, herbally spa skin oil type of scent...but they do it better as it lasts longer. It's a nice, calming scent after the shower before you go to sleep though.

So herbal and medicinal. Lasts quite long. Not a scent that belongs on humans.

Yuck...I can’t understand people why people are comparing it to Eau Dynamisante. It has none of the freshness or citrus burst. To me Sacred Mist smells like a low level 1990s gourmand. It is sickly sweet and any essential oil fragrance is totally overpowered by cloying vanilla. It absolutely does not smell spa like, nor does it have any of the high frequency invocation it claims. It also has a weird accord that reminds me of a granny hairspray or basic drug store shampoo. I bought it blind as it was so reduced in price. I wish I hadn’t and completely understand why the company is closing. A bit like a wander down Superdrug fragrance aisle at closing time. When a 1000 teenagers have sprayed low to middle priced testers all day.

French reviewer here - imagine Kate Moss (or anyone) took A OUIGO (not even a TGV) and was unwell after a night at the boîte, and forgot to go to the bathroom until 1h and 45 mins into the journey. The metal door flings open - THIS is what the fragrance smells like. Exactly, 100% not embellishing, the worst.

Ugh, yuck. There's something strong here that stings my nose. It's really sharp, no softness even in drydown. Wayyy too much oakmoss+pepper. There's a bit of a pencil shavings vibe, with some vanilla essence splashed over it. It's a no from me. I don't even know when you'd wear this.

This is easily the worst fragrance I've ever smelled in my 30 year's of collecting perfumes. It smells like the chemical that they use in a hair salon to sterilize the scissors. In addition to the nauseating fragrance, their customer service is even more deplorable.

I bought it blindly and is a miss for me. I believed in description of healing and wellbeing properties. Maybe I do not get this perfume but for me it has this sweet vibe of exclamation perfume, which I cannot stand since high school. I tried several times: before going to bed, during the day as just an ordinary perfume, but nope. No calming effect on me or any other. This exclamation note just disturbs me and the final efect is just the oposite to grounding. No surprise it is on sale everywhere now. Btw in my opinion her whole line of cosmoss is a bit on greenwashing side and not worth the RRP.

At first I hated the scent, it smelt to me like a public toilet a little and it stays on for 5 seconds and it’s gone. But after some time I came back to it and I accualy liked it not for everyday wear but for rituals or grounding
