Scent Gloss

I bought it, I love it. It doesn't really matter as I feel this very white floral-ish and it stays a long time. Sillage is quite weak, but staying power is good, you have to be quite near me to notice this EDP. I noticed on my skin after awhile it turns quite powdery and jasmine-ish and not overbearing at all. It is lovely... I 've got a lot of compliments wearing this EDP. I have to agree below where someone mentioned that this EDP suits for wedding day, yes the image fits for white dresses more than Lanvin's Marry Me... This EDP makes me feel cute and innocent without the sweet fruity smell on it. I swear at nights this EDP smells like white florals and stronger than daytime...

Just received, sprayed on, memories came flooding back from near the time when this was released! (and it now seems to be discontinued...) If Rose d'Ete from Les Parfums de Rosine is a yellow rose, then this would be for me a pink summery rose (but I would wear the perfume year round). I totally love this and realize that I love "pinky" "frivolous" perfumes that are (sometimes, all or partially) highly synthetic...This is still available quite cheaply, so "more for me" haha...:)

Spicy roses, fresh orchids and musk. It invokes sweetness and sophistication. Very girly! It looks pink and smells pink. Sweeter than YSL Paris. I'm looking forward to wearing this in contract to itself. When I'm feeling like bad girl, its going to be, Scent Gloss,a leather jacket and stilettos boots.

Costume National's SCENT GLOSS is a finely framed rose de mai perfume with reasonably good longevity in the edp. This seems perfect for those who love roses but find single-note presentations a bit overwhelming. The musk and the orchid moderate the rose here, creating a creamy, delectable scent with a slightly powdery drydown. The name somewhat suggests that this is a casual, sweet scent, which it is not. Rather, SCENT GLOSS is an excellent choice for either true rose lovers looking for variations on a favorite theme or those who seek a special composition for a special occasion. A beautiful white satin wedding dress comes to mind...

Pretty enough pink flavoured synthetic fragrance with average longevity and sillage. Inoffensive and pleasant, this is very much in the “office friendly” category. Nothing ground breaking, and nothing negative to say about it either. For the price, it’s certainly a good buy. I see lots of questions on the forum asking for a safe gift for a young lady; this one would easily fit the bill and it would equally make a great gift for the teacher.

ON my skin this scent reminds me of Dior - J'adore, but more rose-sweet. Very fresh and clean. For a younger woman. Wonderful for every-day-use. Not heavy or edgy. Lot of nice flowers and musk. Longlasting on my skin På min hud påminner denna mig om Dior- J'adore, men lite mer ros-söt. Väldigt fräsch och "ren". En härlig doft för den unga spralliga tjejen/kvinnan. Absolut inte tung eller skrikig. Sitter länge på huden.

I liked this and I'm not huge on straight florals. It has kind of a liquid, slippery scent, quite warm but fresh. I got absolutely no rose whatsoever on me (and I really like rose, even that huge, sweet, jammy, almost sickly type rose - hello YSL Paris), only a hint of musk but the orchid was really strong. Can't say I'd buy it but it would be a classy scent for weddings and similar elegant events.

This is a fairly linear rose and orchid perfume and both notes are present from beginning to end. Whatever synthetic musk is in this creates an almost luminous, lush backdrop for the floral element. There also seems to be a little bit of a green tea note lurking in the heart of this fragrance. A very nice, soft, work appropriate scent with a surprising amount of sillage.

I like it and find it a very good day perfume, great for spring. It's clean and pretty.

To me, this smells like Narciso Rodriguez EDP. So why does NR get praised and people bitch that Scent Gloss is boring? Probably for the same dumb reason people will call Costume National “niche”. Costume National is not a perfume house. It is an Italian fashion house. People know NR is a fashion designer. So not making a gourmand or fruity patchouli is GROUND BREAKING. Because people believe Costume National is “niche”, they can’t just make a pleasant rose/orchid/musk scent. This one honestly does not work on my skin. NR EDP smells like acetone on my skin and Scent Gloss smells like NR EDP + rose flavored candy floss.

Average quality rosey-powdery fragrance with the typical clean, laundry-detergent, musky base. Safe, mainstream-ish and, in the end, boring. Too juvenile. Nah! Rating: 4-5/10

pleasant sweet musky rose but I'm not much into such kind of fragrances. Not very memorable but still a nice linear long lasting (about 8 hours at least on my skin) perfume.

Scent Gloss leaves me a little underwhelmed like Scent Sheer did. Everything else from this brand seems a little bit daring, even if a touch unisex, however Scent Gloss is very feminine; girly and 'pink'. A scent better suited to the younger crowd. It's a delicate and inoffensive blend of pink rose, strawberry, orchid and white musk. The outcome is quite fresh and sweet, even if a little juvenile. It settles like a body spray, yet one that lasts. The rose is very watered down in Scent Gloss, in fact all I managed to smell was the musk and the fruity nuances. It's a linear fragrance, one that doesn't develop all that well, and it's usually in these cases that I become irritated by perfume brands, 'playing it safe'. Because it smells so innocent and feminine, I can see why someone would recommend this for weddings. It would suit a white and flowery atmosphere, like that of a childhood dream. Rainbows, lollipops and big, white fluffy dresses aren't really my thing, so I think I'll skip Scent Gloss.

I really like Scent and Scent Intense,so I thought Scent Gloss would be as good as another. A basic blend of orchid, musk and rose. Really just a straight-out semi-exotic type of floral balanced on a neutral musk base.I think it`s very feminine delicate floral fragrance.

this reminds me of a time a sweet older man bought me this perfume just because he liked me !!! was a fun time for me and when i see it and wear it i quietly smile to myself of it's original time love the perfume gorgeous and floral and heady

I smell a warm, syrupy rose. Almost grape-like. Perfect spring-summer scent. Has a slight shampoo-y property. Not an edgy fragrance, but pleasant enough to wear.
