Scent Intense Parfum Red Edition

WOW. This is a big, warm, gorgeous amber based fragrance with rose, ample saffron, and patch. I think it SUPER NICE, moderately strong, yet refined. The overall takeaway impression is round, soft, cozy, warm, comforting amber with rich rather than sharp florals. A HUGE love. One spray equaled an instant FB purchase in my case. I say Intense Red could be compared and contrasted with Mon Nom est Rouge, another fragrance that was an instant love for me. The Costume National Scent is just as rich, but substitutes the sharper elements with smoother ones like fluid (not powdery) amber and buttery tuberose. The rose is never shrill, just full, which makes for an appreciated couterpoint to the more assertive Bekkali.

I have to give it to user @tanaC (a few reviews below me) He was spot-on with his review and I agree almost fully. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's the best combo of rose and patchouli but it would definitely make a top 10 list. Where this scent falls a bit flat is in the drydown. It starts off red hot and a nice strong spice kick from the saffron and perhaps pink pepper? (not listed as note) Still a love for me.

Scent Intense Re(tol)d. My love for Scent Intense runs a bit too deep, to the point that I dismissed its adjacent releases. The combination of hibiscus/jasmine tea sinking into an almost crystalised amber base is like no other; to the point that the other Scents in the line felt like they missed 'the point', lacking the same substance. I've come around on Intense Red at least, because it's basically a love-letter to the original with clearer stages. The opening hibiscus/jasmine tea combination is cleaned up and lifted from its ambery base, with an added saccharine spin that doesn't read strictly floral or fruity (edit: It's a white chocolate Patchouli; boat loads of it.). The clear amber slowly joins after half an hour, with a more indolic jasmine following in step, before arriving at a very similar conclusion as Scent Intense. It might not have the immediacy of Scent Intense that I adore, but this retelling takes its time, highlighting what a singular fragrance the original is. The clearer note-separation has deepened my love and understanding of the original, and for that I'm very grateful this exists.

Loved my sample of Scent Intense. Liked my fb of Scent well enough, although it dried down into a synthetic wood that I did not enjoy. Scent Intense Red, though, is a patch rose that immediately punched me in the face with a synthetic-smelling saffron (I know virtually all saffron in perfumery is synthetic, but this smelled of toxic chemicals to me) that was burning and cloying at the same time. It is definitely a family member of Scent Intense and Scent, but (besides the initial sniff) this is my least favorite of the family. It was bad enough for me, that I was afraid it would cause me to stop liking saffron as a note. I hope others like it; I could not. I sold Red and Scent.

Scent Intense Parfum Red Edition CoSTUME NATIONAL I think, this one is the most beautiful masculine Rose x Patchouli imho. You do not get straight patch, straight rose, straight of spiciness. Everything fold in bowl of Amber and Creamy Ylang-Ylang accord beautifully. Spicy rose is beautiful here. I compare Eau Capitale, POTL. It’s all not really beautiful or easy grab as this one. The way Rose come across is near Spicy must flow by ETAT. But pat, white floral nuance show more here in Scent Intense Perfum Red. Spero di poter testare presto questa novità. Costume National mi ha sempre piacevolmente sorpreso- Dopo aver provato 21 e poi Scent Intense non riesco più a farne a meno. Sinceramente non riesco a capire che tipo di reazione avrò a indossare contemporaneamente note come Rosa e Zafferano ma non voglio esprimere nessun giudizio prima di averlo testato. Per certo un floreale forte e ben persistente, infatti pare che RED EDITION EDP abbia una concentrazione alcolica al 25%. Allora... ci sentiamo presto :-)))

Needless Existence. Scent Intense Red Edition is an almost identical release to the original Scent Intense, that its existence is a waste. It is the same gorgeous thick ambery tea scent as the original and I couldn't find, comparing by memory to the original, any significant differences between the two. There is no wonder there is no hype behind this fragrance compared to the original. They are about exact despite the very deceiving note pyramid. I am not surprised this appears to be discontinued.
