Chanson de Nuit

I was testing some Avon perfumes in my local Rossmann the other day and when I was sniffing Far Away Glamour I was instantly reminded of my old perfume I used to have in college which celebrated the magic year of 2000 🪄✨🎆 it was a flanker of the Chanson by Coty called Chanson Magique and it was filled with small silver stars sparkle in the bottle like a snow globe ✨ and with dark blue cap. It was floral with some sweetness and citrus and unfortunately the scent had some very sharp chemical note which ruined the scent for me. I loved the bottle though. Now I found the exact same sharp chemical note in this Avon flanker as well, for the first time again after 26 years and testing thousands of perfumes. I didn't buy the Glamour flanker but it was nice to be set back to my college years of 2000 once again !! ✨😊

I bought this fragrance for my mum and she really liked it. It is very light and fresh fragrance but in very gentle and mild way. There is absolutly nothing disturbing or aggressive on it(in this feature i would compare it with purple Lanvin).In addition the flacon was amazing and the little shiny stars in it made the final magicial expression.(thought its little bit corny:o)

I too had the milllenium edition. It was a be too mature for me then, but loved the stars in the bottle. Chanson Magique is a different one. That didn't even exist in üy country.

oh had the Millenuim Edition with the sparkels, too....I disliked the fragrance but I love the memories it will hold for me forever :)

I had it's limited edition millenium bottle which had little sparkling stars. It was great fragrance.

Chanson is a beautiful evening fragrance by my favorite fragrance line Coty. I first encountered this fragrance while working as a sales girl in perfume departments in Macys. I didn't actually sell this one but found out where they were selling it and went after it. It opens with aldehydes and citrus. Normally I dislike oranges, bergamots, blood oranges and mandarins but this is a fresh and light citrus. The heart is floral but because Fragrantica does not list the notes I'm gong to have to break it down according to what I was able to detect with my nose: Top Notes: Mandarin Orange, Bergamot, Neroli Lemon Heart Notes: Jasmine Lily Heliotrope Orchid Tuberose Rose Ylang-Ylang Base Notes: Amber Cedar Sandalwood Patchouli Musk While it was very affordable at the time it sold, it smelled expensive. usually the rose, jasmine and heliotrope combo make a scent smell more expensive. This was of moderate sillage although each note was prominent. Formal and definitely an evening wear perfume. I wore this when I went out on dates back in the early 2000's. I have 3 bottles left over from a few years back and I haven't worn it in a while until I noticed it in my wardrobe. I enjoyed wearing it earlier today. Beautiful, beautiful perfume.

What people seem to be talking about in the comments, the version with the sparkling stars, is actually called Chanson Magique and it doesn't have a page on here. I scoured the internet for it because I had mistakenly sent my old bottle with a bag of donations and I was heartbroken. Now I finally found it again and it brings me back to my childhood in the late 90's, early 00' when Coty perfumes were taking over the market and everyone's mom and teacher had either one if the Chansons or Exclamation or Pret-a-Porter (another throwback for me and another bottle lost to my decluttering). As much as I can describe Chanson Magique, it's a gentle floral scent that feels more grown up and than it actually is.
